9 UDB त्यसपछि त्यहाँ भएका यहूदी अगुवाहरूले तर्तुल्लसले भनेको कुरा सत्य हो भनी शासकलाई बताए। BSB BSB: The Jews concurred, asserting that these charges were true.
10 UDB त्यसपछि पावल बोल्नलाई शासकले उसको हात हल्लाएर पावललाई इशारा गरे। यसैले पावलले जवाफ दिए र भने, “शासक फेलिक्स, तपाईंले धेरै वर्षदेखि यस यहूदी प्रान्तमा न्याय गर्नुभएको छ भन्ने मलाई थाहा छ। यसकारण मैले खुसीसाथ मेरो बचाउ गर्छु। मलाई थाहा छ कि तपाईंले मेरो सुनेर मलाई निष्पक्षसाथ न्याय गर्नुहुनेछ। BSB BSB: When the governor motioned for Paul to speak, he began his response: “Knowing that you have been a judge over this nation for many years, I gladly make my defense.
11 UDB तपाईंलाई थाहा छ कि परमेश्वरको आराधना गर्न म यरूशलेममा गएको बाह्र दिनभन्दा बढी भएको छैन। BSB BSB: You can verify for yourself that no more than twelve days ago I went up to Jerusalem to worship.
12 UDB मन्दिरको परिसरमा कोहीसँग वादविवाद गर्दागर्दै तिनीहरूले मलाई देखे भनी कसैले पनि भन्न सक्दैन, किनभने मैले त्योसो गरिन। मैले यहूदी सभाघरहरूतिर मानिसहरूलाई हुलदङ्गा गर्न लागइरहेको वा कतै यरूशलेममा कष्ट दिइरहेको देखेँ भनेर कसैले भन्न सक्दैन, किनभने मैले त्यसो गरिन। BSB BSB: Yet my accusers did not find me debating with anyone in the temple or riling up a crowd in the synagogues or in the city.
13 UDB यसकारण जुन विषयमा तिनीहरूले मलाई दोष लगाउदैछन् तिनीहरूले सो प्रमाणित गर्न सक्दैनन्। BSB BSB: Nor can they prove to you any of their charges against me.
14 UDB तर म तपाईंको सामु यो सत्य हो भनी स्वीकार गर्छुः मैले हाम्रा पुर्खाहरूले आराधना गरेका परमेश्वरको आराधना गर्छु। यो सत्य हो कि मैले येशूले हामीलाई सिकाउनुभएको मार्गलाई पछ्याउछु। परमेस्वरले मोशालाई दिनुभएको व्यवस्थाहरूमा लेखिएको र अरू अगमवक्ताहरूले तिनीहरूको पुस्तकमा लेखेका सबै कुरामा पनि मैले विश्वास गर्छु। BSB BSB: I do confess to you, however, that I worship the God of our fathers according to the Way, which they call a sect. I believe everything that is laid down by the Law and written in the Prophets,

19 UDB तर मानिसहरूलाई हुलदंगा गराउने ती यहूदीहरू नै थिए। यदि मैले केही गल्ती गरेको छु भन्ने तिनीहरूलाई लाग्छ भने, मलाई दोष लगाउन तिनीहरू तपाईंको सामु यहाँ हुनुपर्ने हो। BSB BSB: who ought to appear before you and bring charges, if they have anything against me.

21 UDB म यसो भनी चिच्याउदा केही त्यस्तो गल्ती गरेँ भनी तिनीहरूले भन्लान्, “तिमीहरूले मेरो इन्साफ गरिरहेका छौ किनभने सबै मरेका मानिसहरूलाई परमेश्वरले फेरि जीवित तुल्याउनुहुनेछ भनी मैले विश्वास गर्छु।‘” BSB BSB: unless it was this one thing I called out as I stood in their presence: ‘It is concerning the resurrection of the dead that I am on trial before you today.’”
22 UDB मानिसहरूले येशूको मार्गको भनेको बारे फेलिक्सलाई अगाडि नै थाहा थियो। तर तिनले पावल वा यहूदीहरूलाई निरन्तर बोल्ने अनुमति दिएनन्। यसको सट्टा, तिनले तिनीहरूलाई भने, “पछि, जब सेनापति लुसियस यहाँ तल आउनेछन्, म यो मुद्दाको फैसला गर्नेछु।” BSB BSB: Then Felix, who was well informed about the Way, adjourned the hearing and said, “When Lysias the commander comes, I will decide your case.”

24 UDB केही दिनपछि फेलिक्स आफ्नी पत्नी द्रूसल्लाको साथमा आए, जो एउटी यहूदी थिइन्, र उनीसँग बोल्नलाई पावललाई बोलाए। फेलिक्सले येशू ख्रीष्टमा विश्वास गर्ने सम्बन्धमा पावलले उसलाई भनेको सुने। BSB BSB: After several days, Felix returned with his wife Drusilla, who was a Jewess. He sent for Paul and listened to him speak about faith in Christ Jesus.
25 UDB उहाँलाई खुसी तुल्याउन मानिसले के गरेको परमेश्वार चाहनुहुन्छ भन्ने विषयमा पावलले उनलाई भने। उसले मानिसहरूले काम गर्दा तिनीहरूले कसरी नियन्त्रण गर्ने र परमेश्वरले सबै मानिसहरूको न्याय गर्ने दिन हुनेछ भनी व्याख्या गरे। यी कुरा सुनिसकेपछि फेलिक्स डराए त्यसैले उसले पवललाई भने, “मैले अहिले यति मात्रै सुन्न चाहन्छु। मसँग समय हुँदा, फेरि मकहाँ आउनलाई मैले तिमीलाई भन्नेछु”। BSB BSB: As Paul expounded on righteousness, self-control, and the coming judgment, Felix became frightened and said, “You may go for now. When I find the time, I will call for you.”
26 UDB पावलले उसलाई केही पैसा दिन्छन् कि भनी फेलिक्सले आशा गरिरहेका थिए, यसैले धेरै पटक उनीकहाँ आउनु भनी तिनले पावललाई ल्याउन पठाए। पावलले फेलिक्ससँग धेरै पटक कुराकानी गरे, तर उसले फेलिक्सलाई कुनै पनि पैसा दिएनन् र कारावासबाट पावललाई छोडीदिऊन् भनी फेलिक्सले उसका सिपाहीहरूलाई आदेश दिएनन्। BSB BSB: At the same time, he was hoping that Paul would offer him a bribe. So he sent for Paul frequently and talked with him.
27 UDB फेलिक्सले पावललाई कारावासमा रहन दिए किनभने उसले यहूदी अगुवाहरूलाई खुसी पार्न चाहन्थे। तर दुई वर्ष बितेपछि फेलिक्सको सट्टामा पर्किअस फेस्तस शासक भए। BSB BSB: After two years had passed, Felix was succeeded by Porcius Festus. And wishing to do the Jews a favor, Felix left Paul in prison.
