1 UDB “म साँचो दाखको बोट हुँ, र मेरो पिता किसान हुनुहुन्छ। BSB BSB: “I am the true vine, and My Father is the keeper of the vineyard.
2 UDB ममा भएका नफलाउँने हरेक हाँगालाई-- मेरो पिताले त्यो काट्नु हुन्छ र त्यो हटाउनु हुन्छ। असल फल फलाउने हरेक हाँगाको बारेमा, उहाँले त्यसलाई छाँटेर सफा गर्नुहुन्छ, ता कि त्यसले झन् धेरै फल फलाओस्। BSB BSB: He cuts off every branch in Me that bears no fruit, and every branch that does bear fruit, He prunes to make it even more fruitful.
3 UDB मैले तिमीहरूलाई बोलेका शन्देसको कारणले तिमीहरू पहिले नै शुद्ध भएका छौ। BSB BSB: You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you.
4 UDB ममा रहो, र म तिमीहरूमा रहने छु। जसरी हाँगा एक्लैले कुनै फल फलाउन सक्दैन, त्यसरी नै तिमीहरू ममा रहने र हरेक कुराको लागि ममा भरोसा गर्ने नगरेसम्म न त तिमीहरूले नै फल फलाउन सक्छौ। BSB BSB: Remain in Me, and I will remain in you. Just as no branch can bear fruit by itself unless it remains in the vine, neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in Me.
5 UDB म दाखको बोट हुँ; तिमीहरू हाँगाहरू हौ। यदि तिमीहरू ममा रह्यौ र म तिमीहरूमा रहेँ भने, तिमीहरूले धेरै फलहरू फलाउने छौ, किनकि मबाट अलग रहेर तिमीहरूले केही पनि गर्न सक्दैनौ। BSB BSB: I am the vine and you are the branches. The one who remains in Me, and I in him, will bear much fruit. For apart from Me you can do nothing.
6 UDB हरेक जो ममा रहँदैन र उसको आफ्नो लागि मबाट जीवन लिंदैन एउटा सुकेको हाँगाजस्तै फ्याँकिने छ। ती हाँगाहरूलाई एकसाथ भेला गरिन्छ र आगोमा फालिन्छ र जलाइन्छ। BSB BSB: If anyone does not remain in Me, he is like a branch that is thrown away and withers. Such branches are gathered up, thrown into the fire, and burned.
7 UDB यदि तिमीहरू ममा रह्यौ र मेरो शन्देसअनुसार जीवन बितायौ भने, तिमीले कुनै पनि कुरा परमेश्वरसँग माग्न सक्छौ र उहाँले त्यो गर्नुहुने छ। BSB BSB: If you remain in Me and My words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.
8 UDB जब तिमीहरूले धेरै फल फलाउँछौ, त्यसले मानिसहरूलाई पिताको आदर गर्ने बनाउँछ। त्यतिबेला तिमीहरू मेरा चेलाहरू हुन्छौ। BSB BSB: This is to My Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, proving yourselves to be My disciples.
9 UDB जसरी पिताले मलाई प्रेम गर्नुभयो, त्यसरी मैले तिमीहरूलाई प्रेम गरेको छु। तिमीहरूलाई प्रेम गर्नलाई मलाई निरन्तर अनुमति देओ। BSB BSB: As the Father has loved Me, so have I loved you. Remain in My love.
10 UDB यदि मैले तिमीहरूलाई गर्नु भनेको कुरा तिमीहरूले मान्यौ भने, तिमीहरूलाई प्रेम गर्नलाई तिमीहरू मलाई निरन्तर अनुमति दिने छौ। तिमीहरू यसरी मजस्तै हुने छौ: पिताले मलाई जे गर्न भन्नुभयो त्यसमा म आज्ञाकारी भएँ र मेरो आज्ञाकारिताको कारणले म उहाँको प्रेममा रहेको छु। त्यो तिमीहरूको बारेमा पनि सत्य हुने छ। BSB BSB: If you keep My commandments, you will remain in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and remain in His love.
11 UDB मैले यी कुराहरू यसैले तिमीहरूलाई भनें कि मेरो आनन्द तिमीहरूमा रहोस्, र यसरी तिमीहरू पूरा आनन्दित हुन सक। BSB BSB: I have told you these things so that My joy may be in you and your joy may be complete.
12 UDB म तिमीहरूलाई यो गर्ने आज्ञा दिन्छु: जसरी मैले तिमीहरूलाई प्रेम गरेको छु त्यसरी एक आपसमा प्रेम गर। BSB BSB: This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.
13 UDB एकजना व्यक्ति जसले आफ्ना मित्रहरूका लागि आफ्नो जीवन दिन्छ त्योभन्दा ठुलो प्रेम कसैसँग पनि छैन। BSB BSB: Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends.
14 UDB यदि तिमीहरू मेरो आज्ञाहरू सुन्ने मात्र होइन तर तीअनुसार जीवन बिताउँछौ भने तिमीहरू मेरा मित्रहरू हौ। BSB BSB: You are My friends if you do what I command you.
15 UDB म अब तिमीहरूलाई आफ्ना सेवकहरू भन्दिन, किनकि आफ्नो मालिकले के गर्दैछ भनी सेवकले बुझ्दैन। म अब तिमीहरूलाई मित्रहरू भन्छु, किनकि मैले आफ्नो पिताबाट सुनेको हरेक कुरा, मैले यसैले ती सबै तिमीहरूलाई जानकारी गराँए कि तिमीहरूले पनि त्यो बुझ्न सक। BSB BSB: No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not understand what his master is doing. But I have called you friends, because everything I have learned from My Father I have made known to you.
16 UDB तिमीहरूले मलाई चुनेनौ, तर मैले तिमीहरूलाई एउटा कारणले चुनें, यसैले कि तिमीहरू बाहिर जानुपर्छ र धेरै फल फलाउनुपर्छ र ता कि तिमीहरूको फल सदासर्वदा रहनुपर्छ। परिणामस्वरुप, तिमीहरूले मेरो नाममा पितासँग माग्ने हरेक कुरा, उहाँले तिमीहरूका निम्ति गर्नुहुने छ। BSB BSB: You did not choose Me, but I chose you. And I appointed you to go and bear fruit—fruit that will remain—so that whatever you ask the Father in My name, He will give you.
17 UDB म तिमीहरूलाई यो गर्ने आज्ञा दिन्छु: एक अर्कालाई प्रेम गर। BSB BSB: This is My command to you: Love one another.
18 UDB यदि संसारले तिमीहरूलाई घृणा गर्छ भने, तिमीहरूले महसुस गर्नुपर्छ कि त्यसले पहिले मलाई घृणा गर्यो। BSB BSB: If the world hates you, understand that it hated Me first.
19 UDB यदि तिमीहरू यस संसारमा भएका अविश्वासीहरूका थियौ भने, संसारले तिमीहरूलाई प्रेम गर्ने थियो, र तिनीहरूले जे कुरालाई प्रेम गर्छन् तिमीहरूले त्यसैलाई प्रेम गर्ने थियौ र तिनीहरूले जे गर्छन् त्यही गर्ने थियौ। तर तिमीहरू तिनीहरूका होइनौ; त्यसको साटो, तिनीहरूका माझबाट बाहिर निस्कनलाई मैले तिमीहरूलाई चुनें। त्यसकारणले संसारमा भएका अविश्वासीहरूले तिमीहरूलाई घृणा गर्छन्। BSB BSB: If you were of the world, it would love you as its own. Instead, the world hates you, because you are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world.
20 UDB मैले तिमीहरूलाई यो सिकाएको याद गर: ‘एउटा सेवक आफ्नो मालिकभन्दा ठुलो हुँदैन।’ तिनीहरूले मलाई दु:ख दिएका कारणले, तिनीहरूले तिमीहरूलाई पनि दु:ख दिने छन् भनी तिमीहरू निश्चित हुन सक्छौ। यदि तिनीहरूमध्ये कसैले मेरो शिक्षाहरू ग्रहण गरेका छन् र ती मानेका छन् भने, तिमीहरूले तिनीहरूलाई सिकाउने कुरा पनि तिनीहरूले मान्ने छन्। BSB BSB: Remember the word that I spoke to you: ‘No servant is greater than his master.’ If they persecuted Me, they will persecute you as well; if they kept My word, they will keep yours as well.
21 UDB तिमीहरूले मेरो प्रतिनिधित्व गर्ने कारणले र तिमीहरूकहाँ मलाई पठाउनुहुने मेरो पितालाई तिनीहरूले नचिनेको कारणले यस संसारमा भएका अविश्वासीहरूले तिमीहरूलाई डरलाग्दा कुराहरू गर्नेछन्। BSB BSB: But they will treat you like this because of My name, since they do not know the One who sent Me.
22 UDB यदि म आएको थिइन र तिनीहरूलाई परमेश्वरको वचन बोलेका थिइन भने, मलाई र मेरो शन्देसलाई तिरस्कार गरेकोमा तिनीहरू दोषी ठहरिने थिएनन्। यद्यपि, अहिले म आएको र तिनीहरूलाई परमेश्वरको वचन भनेको छु, र अब तिनीहरूका पापको लागि तिनीहरूलाई कुनै वहाना छैन। BSB BSB: If I had not come and spoken to them, they would not be guilty of sin. Now, however, they have no excuse for their sin.
23 UDB जसले मलाई घृणा गर्छ मेरो पितालाई पनि घृणा गर्छ। BSB BSB: Whoever hates Me hates My Father as well.
24 UDB यदि मैले तिनीहरूका माझमा ती कुराहरू गरेको नगरेको भए, कसैले कहिलै पनि नगरेका ती कुराहरू, जसमा मैले आफ्नो शक्तिमा देखाएँ, नगरेको भए, तिनीहरू पापको दोषी ठहरिने थिएनन्। यद्यपि, अहिले तिनीहरूले मलाई देखेका छन्, तिनीहरूले मलाई घृणा गर्छन्, र तिनीहरूले मेरो पितालाई पनि घृणा गर्छन्। BSB BSB: If I had not done among them the works that no one else did, they would not be guilty of sin; but now they have seen and hated both Me and My Father.
25 UDB यी वचनहरू तिनीहरूका व्यवस्थामा लेखिएका थिए र अहिले पुरा हुन आएको छ: ‘तिनीहरूले मलाई विनाकारण घृणा गरे।’ BSB BSB: But this is to fulfill what is written in their Law: ‘They hated Me without reason.’
27 UDB मेरो बारेमा तिमीहरू जे जान्दछौ तिमीहरूले पनि हरेकलाई भन्नैपर्छ किनभने मैले मानिसहरूलाई सिकाउन र आश्चर्य कामहरू गर्न सुरु गरेका सुरुवातका दिनहरूदेखि नै तिमीहरू पुरै समय मसित रहेका छौ। BSB BSB: And you also must testify, because you have been with Me from the beginning.
