3 UDB तिनीहरूले उहाँको गिल्ला गरे र भने, “प्रणाम, यहूदीहरूका राजा!” र तिनीहरूले उहाँलाई दोहोर्याइ-दोहोर्याइ हिर्काए। BSB BSB: And they went up to Him again and again, saying, “Hail, King of the Jews!” and slapping Him in the face.
4 UDB पिलातस फेरि बाहिर आए र मानिसहरूलाई भने, “हेर, म त्यसलाई बाहिर ल्याउँदै छु ता कि तिमीहरूले जान्न सक कि त्यसलाई दण्ड दिनुपर्ने कुनै कारण मैले पाइन।” BSB BSB: Once again Pilate came out and said to the Jews, “Look, I am bringing Him out to you to let you know that I find no basis for a charge against Him.”
5 UDB यसले येशू काँडाको मुकुट र बैजनी रङको वस्त्र लगाएर बाहिर आउनुभयो। पिलातसले तिनीहरूलाई भने, “हेर, यो मानिस यहाँ छ!” BSB BSB: When Jesus came out wearing the crown of thorns and the purple robe, Pilate said to them, “Here is the man!”
6 UDB जब मुख्य पुजारीहरू र मन्दिरका पहरेदारहरूले उहाँलाई देखे, तिनीहरू चिच्याए, “त्यसलाई क्रुसमा टाँग्नुहोस्! त्यसलाई क्रुसमा टाँग्नुहोस्!” पिलातसले तिनीहरूलाई भने, “उसलाई तिमीहरू आफैँ लैजाओ र उसलाई क्रुसमा टाँग! मैले भन्नुपर्दा यसलाई दण्ड दिनुपर्ने कुनै कारण पाइन।” BSB BSB: As soon as the chief priests and officers saw Him, they shouted, “Crucify Him! Crucify Him!” “You take Him and crucify Him,” Pilate replied, “for I find no basis for a charge against Him.”
7 UDB यहूदी अगुवाहरूले पिलातसलाई जवाफ दिए, “हामीसित एउटा निश्चित व्यवस्था छ जसले भन्छ ऊ मारिनुपर्छ किनभने उसले परमेश्वरका पुत्र भएको दाबी गर्यो।” BSB BSB: “We have a law,” answered the Jews, “and according to that law He must die, because He declared Himself to be the Son of God.”
8 UDB जब पिलातसले यो सुने, तिनी झन् बढी डराए। BSB BSB: When Pilate heard this statement, he was even more afraid,
9 UDB तिनी आफ्नो मुख्यालयभित्र भित्र फेरि पसे र येशूलाई फेरि फर्काएर भित्र ल्याउन सिपाहीहरूलाई भने। अनि तिनले येशूलाई भने, “तिमी कहाँबाट आयौ?” तापनि, येशूले तिनलाई कुनै जवाफ दिनुभएन। BSB BSB: and he went back into the Praetorium. “Where are You from?” he asked. But Jesus gave no answer.
10 UDB यसले पिलातसले उहाँलाई भने, “के तिमी मसँग बोल्दैनौ? के तिमीलाई थाहा छैन कि तिमीलाई छोड्ने अधिकार मसँग छ र तिमीलाई क्रुसमा टँग्ने अधिकार पनि मसँग छ?” BSB BSB: So Pilate said to Him, “Do You refuse to speak to me? Do You not know that I have authority to release You and authority to crucify You?”
11 UDB येशूले तिनलाई जवाफ दिनुभयो, “यदि परमेश्वरले त्यो तपाईंलाई नदिनुभएको भए तपाईंको ममाथि कुनै अधिकार हुने थिएन। यसैले एकजना जसले मलाई तपाईंकहाँ सुम्पिदियो, त्यो एउटा नराम्रो पापको निम्ति दोषी हुन्छ।” BSB BSB: Jesus answered, “You would have no authority over Me if it were not given to you from above. Therefore the one who handed Me over to you is guilty of greater sin.”
12 UDB त्यस क्षणदेखि नै, पिलातसले येशूलाई छोड्ने कोसिस गरिरहे। तापनि, यहूदी अगुवाहरू कराए, “यदि तपाईंले यो मानिसलाई छोड्नुभयो भने, तपाईं कैसरका मित्र हुनुहुन्न! कसैले आफैँलाई राजा बनाउँछ भन्ने, कैसरको विरुद्धमा खडा हुन्छ।” BSB BSB: From then on, Pilate tried to release Him, but the Jews kept shouting, “If you release this man, you are no friend of Caesar. Anyone who declares himself a king is defying Caesar.”

14 UDB यतिबेला निश्तार-चाडको अघिल्लो दिन, तयारीको दिन थियो। लगभग मध्यदिन भएको थियो जतिबेला पिलातसले यहूदीहरूलाई भने “हेर, तिमीहरूका राजा यहाँ छ!” BSB BSB: It was the day of Preparation for the Passover, about the sixth hour. And Pilate said to the Jews, “Here is your King!”
15 UDB तिनीहरू चिच्याए, “त्यसलाई हटाउनुहोस्! त्यसलाई हटाउनुहोस्! त्यसलाई क्रुसमा टाँग्नुहोस्!” पिलातसले तिनीहरूलाई भने, “के मैले तिमीहरूका राजालाई क्रुसमा टाँग्नुपर्छ?” मुख्य पुूजारीहरूले जवाफ दिए, “सिजरबाहेक हाम्रो कुनै राजा छैन!” BSB BSB: At this, they shouted, “Away with Him! Away with Him! Crucify Him!” “Shall I crucify your King?” Pilate asked. “We have no king but Caesar,” replied the chief priests.
16 UDB यसले पिलातसले येशूलाई तिनीहरूकहाँ सुम्पिदिए, र तिनीहरूले उहाँलाई लगे। BSB BSB: Then Pilate handed Jesus over to be crucified, and the soldiers took Him away.
17 UDB आफ्नो क्रुस आफैँले बोकेर उहाँ बाहिर “एउटा खप्परकोे ठाँउ” जसलाई आरमेइकमा “गलगथा” भनिन्थ्यो त्यहाँ जानुभयो। BSB BSB: Carrying His own cross, He went out to The Place of the Skull, which in Hebrew is called Golgotha.
19 UDB पिलातसले कसैलाई सूचनाको एउटा पाटी लेख्न र त्यो येशूको क्रुसमा बाँध्न पनि भने। त्यो यस्तो थियो, ‘नासरतका येशू, यहूदीहरूका राजा।’ BSB BSB: Pilate also had a notice posted on the cross. It read: JESUS OF NAZARETH, THE KING OF THE JEWS.
21 UDB मुख्य पुूजारीहरू पिलातसकहाँ फर्केर गए र भने “तपाईंले ‘यहूदीकाहरूका राजा’ भनेर नलेख्नुपर्थ्यो, तर साट्टामा, ‘यो मानिसले भन्यो म यहूदीहरूका राजा हुँ’ लेख्नुपर्थ्यो। BSB BSB: So the chief priests of the Jews said to Pilate, “Do not write, ‘The King of the Jews,’ but only that He said, ‘I am the King of the Jews.’”
22 UDB पिलातसले जवाफ दिए “जस्तो मैले लेखेको छु तिमीहरूले त्यो सङ्केत तस्तै छोड्नुपर्छ।” BSB BSB: Pilate answered, “What I have written, I have written.”
23 UDB सिपाहीहरूले येशूलाई क्रुसमा टाँगेपछि तिनीहरूले उहाँको वस्त्रहरू लिए र प्रत्येक सिपाहीका निम्ति एक भाग हुनेगरी, तिनीहरूलाई चार भागहरूमा विभाजन गरे। यद्यपि, तिनीहरूले उहाँको अलखालाई अलग्गै राखे। यो अलखा माथिदेखि तलसम्मै एउटै कपडाबाट बुनेर बनाइएको थियो। BSB BSB: When the soldiers had crucified Jesus, they divided His garments into four parts, one for each soldier, with the tunic remaining. It was seamless, woven in one piece from top to bottom.
24 UDB यसैले तिनीहरूले एक आपसमा भने, “हामी यसलाई नच्यातौं। बरु, यसलाई नच्याती सग्लै राख्नलाई कसले पाउनेछ भन्नको लागि चिठ्ठा हालेर हामी निर्णय गरौं।” यस्तो लेखिएको धर्मशास्त्र पुरा हुनलाई यो हुन आयो, “तिनीहरूले मेरोा वस्त्रलाई आफ्नो माझमा विभाजन गरे। मेरो वस्त्रका निम्ति तिनीहरूले चिठ्ठा हाले।” BSB BSB: So they said to one another, “Let us not tear it. Instead, let us cast lots to see who will get it.” This was to fulfill the Scripture: “They divided My garments among them, and cast lots for My clothing.” So that is what the soldiers did.
27 UDB र उहाँले त्यो चेलालाई भन्नुभयो, “तिम्री आमा यहाँ हुनुहुन्छ!” यसैले त्यसै क्षणदेखि, त्यो चेलाले तिनलाई आफ्नो घरमा बस्नलाई लगे। BSB BSB: Then He said to the disciple, “Here is your mother.” So from that hour, this disciple took her into his home.

29 UDB अमिलो दाखमद्यको एउटा भाडो त्यहाँ खडा थियो, यसैले तिनीहरूले एउटा हिसपको रुखबाट एउटा छोटो हाँगा लिए र त्यसमा एउटा स्पन्ज राखे, र तिनीहरूले त्यसलाई अमिलो दाखमद्यमा डुबाए र त्यसलाई येशूको मुखसम्मै पुर्याए। BSB BSB: A jar of sour wine was sitting there. So they soaked a sponge in the wine, put it on a stalk of hyssop, and lifted it to His mouth.
30 UDB येशूले अमिलो दाखमद्य पिएपछि, उहाँले भन्नुभयो, “अब सिध्दियो,” र उहाँले आफ्नो शिर झुकाउनुभयो र मर्नुभयो। BSB BSB: When Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished.” And bowing His head, He yielded up His spirit.

In order that the bodies would not remain on the cross during the Sabbath, the Jews asked Pilate to have the legs broken and the bodies removed.
33 UDB जब तिनीहरू येशूकहाँ आए, उहाँको पहिले नै मृत्यु भइसकेको तिनीहरूले देखे। त्यसैले तिनीहरूले उहाँकाो खुट्टाहरू भाँचेनन्। BSB BSB: But when they came to Jesus and saw that He was already dead, they did not break His legs.
34 UDB त्यसको सट्टोा सिपाहीहरूमध्ये एउटाले येशूको कोखामा भालाले घोच्यो र तुरुन्तै उहाँको शरीरबाट रगत र पानी बग्यो। BSB BSB: Instead, one of the soldiers pierced His side with a spear, and immediately blood and water flowed out.
35 UDB यो देख्ने एकजनाले साक्षी दिन्छन्-- तिनको साक्षी सत्य छ, र तिनी जान्दछन् तिनी सत्य बोल्छन्-- ता कि तिमीहरूले येशूमा आफ्नो विश्वास राख्न सक। BSB BSB: The one who saw it has testified to this, and his testimony is true. He knows that he is telling the truth, so that you also may believe.
36 UDB धर्मशास्त्रमा जे लेखिएको थियो त्यो पुरा हुनलाई यी कुराहरू हुन आए: “उहाँका हड्डीहरूमध्ये कुनैलाई पनि कसैले पनि भाँच्ने छैन।” BSB BSB: Now these things happened so that the Scripture would be fulfilled: “Not one of His bones will be broken.”
37 UDB र तिनीहरूले धर्मशास्त्रको अर्को खण्ड पुरा गरे जुन यस्तो छ: “तिनीहरूले एकजनालाई हेर्ने छन् जसलाई तिनीहरूले घोचे।” BSB BSB: And, as another Scripture says: “They will look on the One they have pierced.”
38 UDB यी कुराहरू भएपछि, येशूका एकजना चेला अरिमाथियाका योसेफ, तर गुप्तमा चेला किनभने तिनी यहूदीहरूसँग डराउँथे, उनी पिलातसकहाँ गए र उनले येशूको शरीरलाई क्रुसबाट हटाउन सक्छन् कि भनी तिनलाई सोधे। BSB BSB: Afterward, Joseph of Arimathea, who was a disciple of Jesus (but secretly for fear of the Jews), asked Pilate to let him remove the body of Jesus. Pilate gave him permission, so he came and removed His body.
39 UDB रातमा एकपल्ट येशूकहाँ आएका निकोदेमस पनि आए र आफ्नो साथमा शरीरलाई दफनको लागि तयार पार्नलाई मुर्र र एलवा मसलाहरूको मिश्रण ल्याए। मसलाहरूको तौल करिब ३३ किलो थियो। BSB BSB: Nicodemus, who had previously come to Jesus at night, also brought a mixture of myrrh and aloes, about seventy-five pounds.
40 UDB तिनीहरूले येशूको शरीरलाई लगे र त्यो सुती कपडाका लामा ट्क्राहरूले बेरे, र सबै मसलाहरू त्यसभित्र भरेर तिनीहरूले बेरेर बाँधे। BSB BSB: So they took the body of Jesus and wrapped it in linen cloths with the spices, according to the Jewish burial custom.
42 UDB त्यो साझँमा निस्तार-चाड सुरु हुन लाग्दै थियो, र तिनीहरूले त्यो चिहान रोजे किनभने त्यो नजिकै थियो र तिनीहरूले येशूलाई छिट्टै दफन गर्न सक्थे। यसैले तिनीहरूले येशूलाई त्यहाँ राखे। BSB BSB: And because it was the Jewish day of Preparation and the tomb was nearby, they placed Jesus there.
