3 UDB येशू ठाडो उकालो चडेर डाँडा माथि जानुभयो र आफ्ना चेलाहरूसँग बस्नुभयो। BSB BSB: Then Jesus went up on the mountain and sat down with His disciples.

5 UDB येशूले माथि हेर्नुभयो र त्यहाँ मानिसहरूको एउटा धेरै ठुलो भिड उहाँतिर आउँदै गरेको देख्नुभयो। येशूले फिलिपलाई भन्नुभयो, “हामी रोटी कहाँबाट किन्नेछौं, जसले गर्दा यी सारा मानिसहरूसित खानलाई केही कुरा हुन्छ?” BSB BSB: When Jesus looked up and saw a large crowd coming toward Him, He said to Philip, “Where can we buy bread for these people to eat?”

10 UDB जाहाँ सबै मानिसहरू एकसाथ आउँदैथिए, त्यो ठाउँमा प्रशस्त घाँस थियो। यसैले येशूले भन्नुभयो, “मानिसहरूलाई बस्नलाई भन।” यसैले सबै मानिसहरू बसे, र चेलाहरूले भिडलाई गन्ती गरेिपछि, त्यहाँ करिब पाँच हजार मानिसहरू भएको तिनीहरूले पाए। BSB BSB: “Have the people sit down,” Jesus said. Now there was plenty of grass in that place, so the men sat down, about five thousand of them.

12 UDB जब हरेकले खाइसकेका थिए, उहाँले चेलाहरूलाई भन्नुभयो, “मानिसहरूले नखाएका जौको रोटीका सबै टुक्राहरू जम्मा गर। कुनै कुरा पनि खेर जान नदेऊ।” BSB BSB: And when everyone was full, He said to His disciples, “Gather the pieces that are left over, so that nothing will be wasted.”
13 UDB यसैले पाँचवटा जौका रोटीहरूबाट बचेका टुकाहरू तिनीहरूले जम्मा गरे, र बढी भएकोबाट तिनीहरूले बाह्रवटा ठूला डालोहरू भरे। BSB BSB: So they collected them and filled twelve baskets with the pieces of the five barley loaves left over by those who had eaten.
15 UDB मानिसहरूले के योजना गर्दैथिए त्यो येशूलाई थाहा थियो; तिनीहरू आउन र उहाँलाई आफ्ना राजा हुनलाई दवाव दिन लागेका थिए। यसैले उहाँले तिनीहरूलाई छोड्नुभयो र एक्लै डाँडामाथि जानुभयो। BSB BSB: Then Jesus, realizing that they were about to come and make Him king by force, withdrew again to a mountain by Himself.

17 UDB एउटा डुङ्गामा चढे र कफर्नहुम सहर जानलाई समुद्र तर्न सुरु गरे। यतिबेला रात परेको थियो र येशू तिनीहरूसँग हुनुहुन्नथ्यो। BSB BSB: got into a boat, and started across the sea to Capernaum. It was already dark, and Jesus had not yet gone out to them.
18 UDB जोडदार बतास चल्न थाल्यो र समुद्रमा छालहरू धेरै खतरनाक हुनथाले। BSB BSB: A strong wind was blowing, and the sea grew agitated.
19 UDB तिनीहरू पाँच वा छ किलोमिटर डुङ्गामा यात्रा गरेपछि, येशूलाई पानीमा हिंडिरहेको र डुङ्गा नजिक आइरहेको चेलाहरूले देखे। तिनीहरू भयभित पारिए! BSB BSB: When they had rowed about three or four miles, they saw Jesus approaching the boat, walking on the sea—and they were terrified.
20 UDB येशूले तिनीहरूलाई भन्नुभयो,“यो म हुँ! नडराओ!” BSB BSB: But Jesus spoke up: “It is I; do not be afraid.”
21 UDB उहाँलाई डुङ्गा भित्र लिन पाउँदा तिनीहरू धेरै खुशी भए। उहाँ तिनीहरूको सथमा हुने बितिक्कै, तिनीहरूको डुङ्ंगा जहाँ तिनीहरू जाँदैथिए त्यो ठाउँमा पुग्यो। BSB BSB: Then they were willing to take Him into the boat, and at once the boat reached the shore where they were heading.
22 UDB अर्को दिन तालको अर्कोपट्टी बसेका मानिसहरूको भिडले त्यो भन्दा अघिल्लो दिन त्यहाँ एउटैा मात्र डुङ्ंगा भएको थाहा पाए। आफ्ना चेलाहरूसँग डुङ्गामा येशू जानुभएको थिएन भन्ने पनि तिनीहरूलाई थाहा थियो। BSB BSB: The next day, the crowd that had remained on the other side of the sea realized that only one boat had been there, and that Jesus had not boarded it with His disciples, but they had gone away alone.
23 UDB केही मानिसहरू तिबेरियास सहरबाट आफूसँग भएका अरू डुङ्गाहरूले ताल तरेर आए। तिनीहरूले आफ्ना डुङ्गाहरू त्यो ठाउँको नजिक राखे जहाँ मनिसहरूले रोटी खाएका थिए, त्यो रोटी जसका लागि प्रभुले परमेश्वरलाई धन्यवाद दिनुभएको थियो। BSB BSB: However, some boats from Tiberias landed near the place where the people had eaten the bread after the Lord had given thanks.
24 UDB जब भिडले त्यहाँ न येशू न चेलाहरू थिए भनी थाहा पाए, तिनीहरूमध्ये कोही ती डुङ्गाहरूमा चडे र येशूलाई खोज्न कफर्नहुमतिर गए। BSB BSB: So when the crowd saw that neither Jesus nor His disciples were there, they got into the boats and went to Capernaum to look for Him.
25 UDB तिनीहरूले खोजे र गालिल समुन्द्रको अर्कोपट्टी कफर्नहुममा येशूलाई भेट्टाए। तिनीहरूले उहाँलाई सोधे, “गुरुज्यू, तपाईं यहाँ कहिले आउनुभयो?” BSB BSB: When they found Him on the other side of the sea, they asked Him, “Rabbi, when did You get here?”
26 UDB येशूले तिनीहरूलाई जवाफ दिनुभयो, “म तिमीहरूलाई साँचो भन्दैछु: मैले आश्चर्य काम गरेको तिमीहरूले देखेको कारणले तिमीहरूले मलाई खोजेको होइन, जसले म को हुँ भनी देखाउँछ। होइन! तिमीहरूले अघाउन्जेल रोटी खाएको कारणले मात्रै तिमीहरूले मलाई खोज्दैछौ। BSB BSB: Jesus replied, “Truly, truly, I tell you, it is not because you saw these signs that you are looking for Me, but because you ate the loaves and had your fill.
27 UDB चाँडै नाश हुने भोजनको लागि काम गर्न छोड! त्यसको सट्टोमा, त्यस्तो भोजनको निम्ति काम गर जसले तिमीलाई अनन्त जीवन दिन्छ! त्यही रोटी हो जुन परमेश्वरद्वरा चुनिएको, म, मानिसको पुत्रले तिमीलाई दिन्छु। किनकि परमेश्वर पिताले मलाई हरेक किसिमले मान्यता दिनुहुन्छ।” BSB BSB: Do not work for food that perishes, but for food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you. For on Him God the Father has placed His seal of approval.”
28 UDB तब मानिसहरूले उहाँलाई सोधे,” परमेश्वरलाई खुशी पार्न हामीले कस्ता कामहरू र सेवा गर्नुपर्छ?” BSB BSB: Then they inquired, “What must we do to perform the works of God?”
29 UDB येशूले जवाफ दिनुभयो,“तिमीहरूले यसो गरेको परमेश्वर चाहानुहुन्छ: ममा विश्वास गर, जसलाई उहाँलेे पठाउनुभएको छ।” BSB BSB: Jesus replied, “The work of God is this: to believe in the One He has sent.”
30 UDB यसले तिनीहरूले उहाँलाई भने, “त्यसो भए तपाईं को हुनुहुन्छ भनी प्रमाणित गर्नलाई अर्को आश्चर्य काम गर्नुहोस् ता कि हामी त्यसलाई हेर्न र तपाईं परमेश्वरबाट आउनुभयो भनी विश्वास गर्न सकौं। हाम्रो निम्ति तपाईं के गर्नुहुन्छ?” BSB BSB: So they asked Him, “What sign then will You perform, so that we may see it and believe You? What will You do?
31 UDB हाम्रा पुर्खाहरूले मन्ना खाए, जसरी धर्मशास्त्रले भन्छः ‘परमेश्वरले तिनीहरूलाई स्वर्गबाट रोटी खानलाई दिनुभयो।’” BSB BSB: Our fathers ate the manna in the wilderness, as it is written: ‘He gave them bread from heaven to eat.’”
32 UDB येशूले तिनीहरूलाई भन्नुभयो, “म तिमीहरूलाई साँचो भन्दैछु: तिमीहरूका पुर्खाहरूलाई स्वर्गबाट त्यो रोटी मोशाले दिएको होइन। यो मेरो पिता हुनुहुन्थ्यो, उहाँले नै तिमीहरूलाई स्वर्गबाट साँचो रोटी दिंदै हुनुहुन्छ। BSB BSB: Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I tell you, it was not Moses who gave you the bread from heaven, but it is My Father who gives you the true bread from heaven.
33 UDB परमेश्वरको साँचो रोटी म हुँ, जसले संसारमा भएका हरेकलाई साँचो रूपमा बाँच्न जीवन दिनलाई स्वर्गबाट तल आएको छ। BSB BSB: For the bread of God is He who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.”
34 UDB तिनीहरूले उहाँलाई भने, “गुरुज्यू, हामीलाई सधैँ यो रोटी दिनुहोस्।” BSB BSB: “Sir,” they said, “give us this bread at all times.”
35 UDB येशूले तिनीहरूलाई भन्नुभयो, “मानिसहरूलाई बाँच्न खानाको आवश्यक्ता भएजस्तै हरेकलाई आत्मिक रूपले जीवन विताउन मेरो आवश्यक्ता हुन्छ। जसले साधारण खाना खान्छ र पानी पिउँछ त्यो फेरि भोकाउनेछ र तिर्खाउनेछ। तर तिनीहरूलाई आत्मिक रूपले जीवन विताउन सक्षम बनाउन जसले मसित माग्छ र मलाई विश्वास गर्छ, तिनीहरूका निम्ति म यो गर्नेछु। BSB BSB: Jesus answered, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to Me will never hunger, and whoever believes in Me will never thirst.
36 UDB यद्यपि, मैले तिमीहरूलाई भनेको छु कि तिमीहरूले मलाई देखे तापनि तिमीहरूले अझै पनि मलाई विश्वास गर्दैनौ। BSB BSB: But as I stated, you have seen Me and still you do not believe.
39 UDB मलाई पठाउनु हुनेको इच्छा यो हो, जो उहाँले मलाई दिनुहुन्छ, कसैलाई पनि मैले गुमाउनु हुँदैन, र अन्त्यको दिनमा तिनीहरू सबैलाई मैले जीवित बनाउनुपर्छ। BSB BSB: And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that I shall lose none of those He has given Me, but raise them up at the last day.

42 UDB तिनीहरूले भने, “के यिनी येशू होइन, जसका बुबा योसेफ हुन्ो? के हामी यिनका आमा र बुबालाई चिन्दैनौ र? कसरी यिनले सत्यको साथ भन्न सक्छन्, ‘म स्वर्गबाट आएको छु’?” BSB BSB: They were asking, “Is this not Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? How then can He say, ‘I have come down from heaven’?”
43 UDB येशूले तिनीहरूलाई जवाफ दिनुभयो, “तिमीहरू आफूहरू माझमा गनगन गर्न बन्द गर।” BSB BSB: “Stop grumbling among yourselves,” Jesus replied.
44 UDB मलाई पठाउनुहुने पिताले उसलाई मकहाँ ल्याउनु भएन भने कोही पनि मकहाँ आउन सक्दैन। जो मकहाँ आउँछ उसलाई म अन्तिम दिनमा जीवित बनाउनेछु। BSB BSB: “No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him, and I will raise him up at the last day.
45 UDB अगमवक्ताहरूका पुस्तकमा लेखिएको छ, “परमेश्वरले तिनीहरू सबैलाई सिकाउनुहुनेछ।’ हरेक जसले पिताबाट सुन्छ र सिक्छ त्यो मकहाँ आउँछ। BSB BSB: It is written in the Prophets: ‘And they will all be taught by God.’ Everyone who has heard the Father and learned from Him comes to Me—
46 UDB म, जो परमेश्वरबाट आएको छु, बाहेक कसैले पितालाई देखेको छैन। मैले मात्र पितालाई देखेको छु। BSB BSB: not that anyone has seen the Father except the One who is from God; only He has seen the Father.
47 UDB म तिमीहरूलाई सत्य भन्दैछु: ममा विश्वास गर्नेले अनन्त जीवन पाउँछ। BSB BSB: Truly, truly, I tell you, he who believes has eternal life.
48 UDB म त्यो रोटी हुँ जसले साँचो जीवन दिन्छ। BSB BSB: I am the bread of life.
49 UDB तिमीहरूका पुर्खाहरूले उजाड-स्थानमा मन्न खाए, तर पनि तिनीहरू मरे। BSB BSB: Your fathers ate the manna in the wilderness, yet they died.

If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever. And this bread, which I will give for the life of the world, is My flesh.”
52 UDB यहूदीहरू जसले येशूका कुरा सुनेका थिए यतिबेला आफ्नो माझमा रिसले वादविवाद गर्दैथिए। कुनै व्यक्तिले कसरी वचन दिन सक्छ कि अरूहरूले उसको आफ्नो शरीर खान्छन् भन्ने कुरो तिनीहरूले बुझ्न सकेनन्। BSB BSB: At this, the Jews began to argue among themselves, “How can this man give us His flesh to eat?”
53 UDB यसैले येशूले कठिन शब्दहरू बोलेर तिनीहरूको सामना गर्नुभयो:“म तिमीहरूलाई सत्य भन्दैछु: तिमीहरूले मेरो, मानिसको पुत्रको देह नखाए र मेरो रगत नपिएसम्म, तिमीहरू कुनै हालतमा सदासर्वदा बाँच्नेछैनौ। BSB BSB: So Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I tell you, unless you eat the flesh and drink the blood of the Son of Man, you have no life in you.
54 UDB जसले मेरो देह खान्छन् र मेरो रगत पिउँछन्, तिनीहरू सदासर्वदा जीवित रहनेछन्, र म तिनीहरूलाई अन्त्यको दिनमा फेरि जीवित बनाउनेछु, BSB BSB: Whoever eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day.
55 UDB किनभने मेरो देह साँच्चै खानेकुरा हो र मेरो रगत साँच्चै पिउनेकुरा हो। BSB BSB: For My flesh is real food, and My blood is real drink.
56 UDB जसले मेरो देह खान्छ र मेरो रगत पिउँछ ऊ ममा सहभागी हुनेछ र म उसमा सहभागी हुनेछु। BSB BSB: Whoever eats My flesh and drinks My blood remains in Me, and I in him.
57 UDB मेरो पिता, जसले हरेकलाई जीवित बनाउनुहुन्छ, उहाँले मलाई पठाउनुभएको छ, र मेरो पिताले मलाई सक्षम बनाउनुभएको करणले म जीवित हुन्छु। यसरी नै, जसले मलाई खान्छन्, तिनीहरूका निम्ति म जे गर्नेछु त्यो कारणले सदासर्वदा जीवित हुनेछन्। BSB BSB: Just as the living Father sent Me and I live because of the Father, so also the one who feeds on Me will live because of Me.

Unlike your fathers, who ate the manna and died, the one who eats this bread will live forever.”
60 UDB उहाँका चेलाहरूमध्ये धेरैले भने, “उहाँले जे सिकाउँदै हुनुहुन्छ त्यो बुझ्न कठिन छ। उहाँ जे भन्दै हुनुहुन्छ त्यो कसैले कसरी स्वीकार्न सक्छ?” BSB BSB: On hearing it, many of His disciples said, “This is a difficult teaching. Who can accept it?”

62 UDB यदि तिमीहरूले म, मानिसको पुत्रलाई फेरि माथि स्वर्गमा गएको देख्यौ भने तिमीहरू के भन्छौ? BSB BSB: Then what will happen if you see the Son of Man ascend to where He was before?
63 UDB आत्माले दिनुहुने जीवनले मात्र कसैलाई सदासर्वदा बाँच्न सक्ने बनाउँछ। यो विषयमा मानव स्वभावले कुनै मद्दत गर्दैन। मैले तिमीहरूलाई सिकाए वचनहरूले आत्माको बारेमा तिमीहरूलाई बताउँछन्, र तिनीहरूले अनन्त जीवनको बारेमा तिमीहरूलाई बताउँछन्। BSB BSB: The Spirit gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words I have spoken to you are spirit and they are life.

65 UDB त्यसपछि उहाँले भन्नुभयो, “त्यसकारण मैले तिमीहरूलाई भनें कि पिताले उसलाई मकहाँ आउन सक्षम बनाउनु भएन भने कोही पनि मकहाँ आउन र सदासर्वदा बाँच्न सक्दैन।” BSB BSB: Then Jesus said, “This is why I told you that no one can come to Me unless the Father has granted it to him.”
67 UDB यसले उहाँले बाह्रजनालाई भन्नुभयो, “के तिमीहरू पनि मलाई त्याग्न चाहाँदैनौ, चाहन्छौ?” BSB BSB: So Jesus asked the Twelve, “Do you want to leave too?”

69 UDB हामी तपाईंमा विश्वास गर्छौँ, र हामी निश्चित रूपमा जान्दछौ कि परमेश्वरले पठाउनुभएको पवित्र जन तपाईं नै हुनुहुन्छ!” BSB BSB: We believe and know that You are the Holy One of God.”
