8 UDB तिमीहरू चाडमा अघि जाओ। म अहिले जानेछैन; मेरो लागि यो उपयुक्त समय होइन।” BSB BSB: Go up to the feast on your own. I am not going up to this feast, because My time has not yet come.”
9 UDB उहाँले त्यसो भनेपछि, येशू गालीलमा अलि लामो बस्नुभयो। BSB BSB: Having said this, Jesus remained in Galilee.
10 UDB तापनि, उहाँका भाइहरू चाडमा गएको केही दिन पछि, उहाँ पनि जानुभयो, तर उहाँले गुप्त रूपमा त्यसो गर्नुभयो। BSB BSB: But after His brothers had gone up to the feast, He also went—not publicly, but in secret.

Some said, “He is a good man.” But others replied, “No, He deceives the people.”

19 UDB के मोशाले तिमीहरूलाई व्यवस्था दिएनन्? तापनि, व्यवस्थाका मागहरू तिमीहरू कसैले पनि पुरा गर्दैनौ। अहिले यतिबेला नै मेरो हत्या गर्न षडयन्त्र गर्दै रहनेहरू तिमीहरू नै हौ! BSB BSB: Has not Moses given you the law? Yet not one of you keeps it. Why are you trying to kill Me?”
20 UDB भिडमा भएका कसैले जवाफ दियो, “तिमीलाई भुत लागेको छ! त्यस व्यक्तिको नाम भन जसले तिमीलाई मार्न चाहान्छ!” BSB BSB: “You have a demon,” the crowd replied. “Who is trying to kill You?”
21 UDB येशूले भिडलाई जवाफ दिनुभयो, “तिमीहरूलाई देखाउनलाई मैले एउटा शक्तिको काम गरेको कारणले तिमीहरू सबै त्यसमा चकित पर्यौ। BSB BSB: Jesus answered them, “I did one miracle, and you are all amazed.

23 UDB तिमीहरूले कहिलेकहीँ केटाहरूको खतना विश्रामको दिनमा गर्छौ ता कि तिमीहरूले मोशाको व्यवस्था उल्लंघन गर्नेछैनौ। यसरी मैले एकजना मानिसलाई निको पार्दैगर्दा मैले शवाथको दिनमा काम गरें भनेर तिमीहरू मसँग किन रिसाउँछौ! कसैलाई निको पार्नु धेरै राम्रो कुरा हो, र यो त एउटा बालकको खतना गर्नुभन्दा महान काम हो। BSB BSB: If a boy can be circumcised on the Sabbath so that the law of Moses will not be broken, why are you angry with Me for making the whole man well on the Sabbath?
24 UDB यो मानिसलाई निको पार्नु ठिक थियो वा बेठिक भनी परमेश्वरको व्यवस्थाको झुटा प्रयोग अनुसार, र कुनै विचार नै नगरी निर्णय गर्न बन्द गर! त्यसको साटो, मानिस होइन, परमेश्वर अनुसार के ठिक र के न्यायोचित छ भन्ने सिद्धान्तद्वारा एकजना व्यक्तिले के गर्नुपर्छ र उसको न्याय कसरी गरिनुपर्छ भनी निर्णय गर।” BSB BSB: Stop judging by outward appearances, and start judging justly.”
25 UDB यरूशलेमबाट आएका केही मानिसहरूले भन्दैथिए, “के तिनीहरूले मार्नलाई कोसिस गरिरहेको मानिस यिनी नै होइनन्? BSB BSB: Then some of the people of Jerusalem began to say, “Isn’t this the man they are trying to kill?
26 UDB यी कुराहरू यिनले खुला रूपले भन्दैछन्, तर अधिकारीहरूले यिनको विरोध गर्नलाई केही भन्दैछैनन्। के यिनी ख्रीष्ट हुन् भनी तिनीहरूले चिनेको कारणले हो? BSB BSB: Yet here He is, speaking publicly, and they are not saying anything to Him. Have the rulers truly recognized that this is the Christ?
27 UDB तर यो ख्रीष्ट हुन सक्दैनन्! यो मानिस कहाँबाट आयो हामी जान्दछौं, तर जब ख्रीष्ट आउनुहुन्छ, उहाँ कहाँबाट आउनुहुन्छ कसैले जान्नेछैन।” BSB BSB: But we know where this man is from. When the Christ comes, no one will know where He is from.”
28 UDB यसरी येशूले मन्दिरको चोकमा सिकाउँदै गर्नुहुँदा, उहाँले सिकाउने क्रममा उहाँ कराउनुभयो, “हो, तिमीहरू भन्छौ तिमीहरू मलाई चिन्छौ, र म कहाँबाट आएको हुँ तिमीहरूलाई थाहा छ भनी तिमीहरू विचार गर्छौ। तर म यहाँ मैले आफैँलाई रोजेर आएको होइन। त्यसको साट्टोामा, मलाई पठाउनुहुने आफ्नो गवाहीमा सत्य हुनुहुन्छ, र तिमीहरूले उहाँलाई चिन्दैनौ। BSB BSB: Then Jesus, still teaching in the temple courts, cried out, “You know Me, and you know where I am from. I have not come of My own accord, but He who sent Me is true. You do not know Him,
29 UDB म उहाँलाई चिन्छु किनभने म उहाँबाट आएको हुँ। मलाई पठाउने उहाँ नै हुनुहुन्छ।” BSB BSB: but I know Him, because I am from Him and He sent Me.”
30 UDB त्यसपछि तिनीहरूले उहाँलाई आफ्ना हातहरूले हिर्काउने कोसिस गरे, तर कसैले पनि उहाँलाई गिरफ्तार गर्न सकेन किनभने उहाँको काम पुरा गर्न र उहाँको जीवनको अन्त्य गर्न समय उहाँको निम्ति अझै भएको थिएन। BSB BSB: So they tried to seize Him, but no one laid a hand on Him, because His hour had not yet come.
31 UDB तिनीहरूले उहाँको वचन सुने र उहाँका कामहरू देखेपछि भिडमा भएका धेरैले आफ्नो विश्वास उहाँमा राखे। तिनीहरूले भने, “जब ख्रीष्ट आउनुहुन्छ, के उहाँले यस मानिसले गरेको भन्दा बढी आश्चर्यपूर्ण चिन्हहरू सक्नुहुनेछ र?” BSB BSB: Many in the crowd, however, believed in Him and said, “When the Christ comes, will He perform more signs than this man?”
32 UDB तिनीहरूले येशूको बारेमा सानो स्वरले यी कुराहरू बोलिरहेको फरिसीहरूले सुने। यसैले उहाँलाई गिरफ्तार गर्न, तिनीहरू, मुख्य पुूजारीहरू र फरिसीहरूले एकसाथ केही अधिकारीहरूलाई पठाए। BSB BSB: When the Pharisees heard the crowd whispering these things about Jesus, they and the chief priests sent officers to arrest Him.
33 UDB त्यसपछि येशूले भन्नुभयो, “म तिमीहरूसँग एउटा छोटो समयको निम्ति मात्र हुनेछु। त्यसपछि मलाई पठाउनुहुने कहाँ म फर्केर जानेछु। BSB BSB: So Jesus said, “I am with you only a little while longer, and then I am going to the One who sent Me.
34 UDB तिमीहरूले मलाई खोज्नेछौ तर तिमीहरूले मलाई भेट्टाउनेछैनौ। म जहाँ जाँदैछु, तिमीहरू आउन सक्दैनौ।” BSB BSB: You will look for Me, but you will not find Me; and where I am, you cannot come.”
35 UDB यसैले उहाँका शत्रुहरू यहूदी मानिसहरूले आफैँमा भने, “यो मानिस कहाँ जान सक्छ जहाँ हामी उसलाई भेट्टाउन सक्दैनौ? के उसले सारा ग्रिक संसारभरी छरिएर रहेका यहूदीहरूकहाँ जाने विचार गर्दैछ र के उसले त्यहाँ भएका मानिसहरूलाई यी नयाँ कुराहरू सिकाउनेछ? BSB BSB: At this, the Jews said to one another, “Where does He intend to go that we will not find Him? Will He go where the Jews are dispersed among the Greeks, and teach the Greeks?
36 UDB उसले के भन्न खोज्यो जब उसले यसो भन्यो, ‘तिमीहरूले मलाई खोज्नेछौ, तर तिमीहरूले मलाई भेट्टाउन सक्नेछैनौ,’ र जब उसले भन्यो, ‘म जहाँ जाँदैछु, तिमीहरू आउन सक्दैनौ?’” BSB BSB: What does He mean by saying, ‘You will look for Me, but you will not find Me,’ and, ‘Where I am, you cannot come’?”
37 UDB यसरी चाडको अन्तिम दिन, मुख्य दिनमा, येशू खडा भएर ठुलो स्वरले कराउनुभयो, “यदि कोही तिर्खाउँछ भने ऊ म कहाँ आओस् र पिओस्।” BSB BSB: On the last and greatest day of the feast, Jesus stood up and called out in a loud voice, “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink.
38 UDB जसले ममा विश्वास गर्छ, धर्मशास्त्रले भने जस्तै, ‘उसको हृदयबाट जिउँदो पानीका खोलाहरू बग्नेछन्।’” BSB BSB: Whoever believes in Me, as the Scripture has said: ‘Streams of living water will flow from within him.’”

For the Spirit had not yet been given, because Jesus had not yet been glorified.
40 UDB जब भिडका केहीले ती शब्दहरू सुने, तिनीहरूले भने, “यिनी साँच्चै अगमवक्ता हुन् जसको हामीले आशा गर्दैथियौ।” BSB BSB: On hearing these words, some of the people said, “This is truly the Prophet.”
41 UDB अरूहरूले भने, “ख्रीष्ट गालीलबाट आउन सक्नुहुन्न। BSB BSB: Others declared, “This is the Christ.” But still others asked, “How can the Christ come from Galilee?
42 UDB के धर्मशास्त्रले भन्दैन कि ख्रीष्ट दाऊदको वंशबाट आउनुपर्छ र उहाँ दाऊदको घर भएको गाउँ, बेथलेहममा जन्मिनु पर्छ?” BSB BSB: Doesn’t the Scripture say that the Christ will come from the line of David and from Bethlehem, the village where David lived?”
43 UDB यसरी त्यहाँ येशूको बारेमा मत विभाजन भयो। BSB BSB: So there was division in the crowd because of Jesus.
44 UDB मानिसहरूमध्ये कसैले उहाँलाई गिरफ्तार गर्न चाहन्थे। तापनि कसैले पनि उहाँलाई हालेन। BSB BSB: Some of them wanted to seize Him, but no one laid a hand on Him.
45 UDB यसैले अधिकारीहरू मुख्य पुजारीहरू र फरिसीहरू कहाँ फर्किए। यी तिनै अधिकारीहरू थिए जसलाई शासकहरूले येशूलाई गिरफ्तार गर्न पठाएका थिए। फरिसीहरूले अधिकारीहरूलाई भने, “किन तिमीहरूले उसलाई पक्रेनौ र उसलाई यहाँ ल्याएनौ?” BSB BSB: Then the officers returned to the chief priests and Pharisees, who asked them, “Why didn’t you bring Him in?”
46 UDB अधिकारीहरूले जवाफ दिए, “यो मानिसले जस्तो त कसैले कहिलै बोलेन।” BSB BSB: “Never has anyone spoken like this man!” the officers answered.
47 UDB त्यसपछि फरिसीहरूले जवाफ दिए, “के तिमीहरू पनि धोकामा पर्यौ? BSB BSB: “Have you also been deceived?” replied the Pharisees.
48 UDB यहूदी अधिकारीहरू वा फरिसीहरूमध्ये कसैले पनि येशूमा विश्वास गरेका छैनन्। BSB BSB: “Have any of the rulers or Pharisees believed in Him?
49 UDB यो भिड जसले हाम्रो व्यवस्थाका शिक्षाहरू जन्दैनन्, तिनीहरू श्रापित होऊन्!” BSB BSB: But this crowd that does not know the law—they are under a curse.”
50 UDB त्यसपछि निकोदेमस बोले। (तिनी नै थिए जो उहाँसँग बात गर्न राति येशूलाई भेट्न गएका थिए र तिनी फरिसीहरूमध्ये एकजना थिए।) तिनले तिनीहरूलाई भने, BSB BSB: Nicodemus, who had gone to Jesus earlier and who himself was one of them, asked,
51 UDB हाम्रो यहूदी व्यवस्थाले एकजना मानिसलाई हामीले उसका कुरा सुन्नुअघि दोष लगाउने अनुमति हामीलाई दिँदैन। सर्वप्रथम, हामीले उसको कुरा सुन्नपर्छ र उसले के गरेको छ त्यसको अध्ययन हामीले गर्नुपर्छ।” BSB BSB: “Does our law convict a man without first hearing from him to determine what he has done?”
52 UDB तिनीहरूले तिनलाई जवाफ दिए, “के तिमी पनि गालीलका हौ? होशियारसाथ खोज र धर्मशास्त्रमा के लेखिएको छ पढ! तिमीले यो पाउनेछौ कि गालीलबाट कुनै अगमवक्ता आउँदैन।” BSB BSB: “Aren’t you also from Galilee?” they replied. “Look into it, and you will see that no prophet comes out of Galilee.”
