4 UDB धेरै लामो समयसम्म न्यायाधीशले तिनको मद्दत गर्न इन्कार गरे। तर पछि, तिनले आफैँलाई भने, ‘म परमेश्वरको आदर गर्दिन र म मानिसहरूको वास्ता गर्दिन, BSB BSB: For a while he refused, but later he said to himself, ‘Though I neither fear God nor respect men,

Otherwise, she will wear me out with her perpetual requests.’”
6 UDB त्यसपछि प्रभु येशूले भन्नुभयो, “अन्याय गर्ने न्यायाधीशले जे भने त्यसको बारेमा होसियारसाथ विचार गर। BSB BSB: And the Lord said, “Listen to the words of the unjust judge.
7 UDB परमेश्वरले, जो धर्मी हुनुहुन्छ, उहाँमा लगनशीलतासाथ दिन रात प्रार्थना गर्ने आफ्ना छानिएका मानिसहरूका निम्ति त्योभन्दा अझै पक्का रूपले न्याय गर्नुहुनेछ! र उहाँ तिनीहरूसँग सधैँ धैर्यवान हुनुहुन्छ। BSB BSB: Will not God bring about justice for His elect who cry out to Him day and night? Will He delay in helping them?
8 UDB म तिमीहरूलाई भन्छु, परमेश्वरले आफ्ना छानिएकाहरूको निम्ति तुरन्तै न्याय गर्नुहुनेछ! यद्यपि, म, मानिसको पुत्र यस पृथ्वीमा आउँदा, त्यहाँ अझै पनि धेरै मानिसहरू हुनेछन् जो मलाई विश्वास गर्दैनन्।” BSB BSB: I tell you, He will promptly carry out justice on their behalf. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He find faith on earth?”

11 UDB फरिसी खडा भयो र आफ्नो बारेमा यसरी प्रार्थना गर्यो, ‘हे परमेश्वर! म तपाईंलाई धन्यवाद दिन्छु कि म अरू मानिसहरू जस्तो छैन। कसैले अरूहरूबाट पैसा चोर्छन्, कसैले अरूहरूलाई अन्याय गर्छन्, र कसैले व्यभिचार गर्छन्। म ती सबै कुराहरूमध्ये कुनै पनि गर्दिनँ। र म निश्चय नै यो पापी कर उठाउँने जस्तो छैन जसले मानिसहरूलाई ठग्छ! BSB BSB: The Pharisee stood by himself and prayed, ‘God, I thank You that I am not like other men—swindlers, evildoers, adulterers—or even like this tax collector.
12 UDB म हप्तामा दुईदिन उपवास बस्छु र मेरो सबै कमाइको दस प्रतिशत म मन्दिरमा दिन्छु!’ BSB BSB: I fast twice a week and pay tithes of all that I acquire.’
13 UDB तर कर उठाउँनेचाहीँ मन्दिरको चोकमा भएका अरू मानिसहरूभन्दा टाढा खडा भयो। उसले माथि स्वर्गतिर हेर्न पनि सकेन। बरू, आफ्नो छाती पिट्यो र भन्यो, ‘हे परमेश्वर, कृपगरी मप्रति कृपालु हुनुहोस् र मलाई क्षमा गर्नुहोस्, किनभने म एउटा अघोर पापी हुँ!’ BSB BSB: But the tax collector stood at a distance, unwilling even to lift up his eyes to heaven. Instead, he beat his breast and said, ‘God, have mercy on me, a sinner!’
14 UDB त्यसपछि येशूले भन्नुभयो, “म तिमीहरूलाई भन्छु कि जसै तिनीहरू घरतिर लागे कर उठाउँनेलाई क्षमा दिइयो तर फरिसीलाई दिइएन। किनभने हरेक जसले आफूलाई उचाल्छ त्यसलाई नम्र पारिनेछ र हरेक जसले आफूलाई नम्र पार्छ त्यसलाई उचालिनेछ।” BSB BSB: I tell you, this man, rather than the Pharisee, went home justified. For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but the one who humbles himself will be exalted.”
15 UDB एकदिन उहाँले आफ्ना हातहरू तिनीहरूमाथि राख्न र तिनीहरूलाई आशिष् दिन मानिसहरूले आफ्ना बालकहरूलाई पनि येशूकहाँ ल्याउँदैथिए। जब चेलाहरूले यो देखे, तिनीहरूले उनीहरूलाई त्यसो नगर्न भने। BSB BSB: Now people were even bringing their babies to Jesus for Him to place His hands on them. And when the disciples saw this, they rebuked those who brought them.
16 UDB तर येशूले बालकहरूलाई उहाँकहाँ ल्याउनलाई भन्नुभयो। उहाँले भन्नुभयो, “साना बालकहरूलाई मकहाँ आउन देऊ! तिनीहरूलाई नरोक! यी बालकहरू जस्तै नम्र र विश्वासयोग्य मानिसहरूलाई नै परमेश्वरले राज्य गर्नुहुनेछ। BSB BSB: But Jesus called the children to Him and said, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not hinder them! For the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.
17 UDB म तिमीहरूलाई वास्तवमै भन्छु कि कसैले परमेश्वरले तिणिहरूमा गर्ने राज्यलाई एउटा बालकलेझैँ विनम्रतासाथ ग्रहण गर्दैन भने, परमेश्वरले त्यस व्यक्तिलाई कुनै हालतमा ग्रहण गर्नुहुनेछैन।” BSB BSB: Truly I tell you, anyone who does not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.”
18 UDB एकपल्ट एउटा यहूदी अगुवाले येशूलाई सोधे, “असल गुरू, मैले अनन्त जीवन पाउनलाई के गर्नुपर्छ?” BSB BSB: Then a certain ruler asked Him, “Good Teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?”
19 UDB येशूले तिनलाई भन्नुभयो, “तिमीले मलाई किन असल भन्छौ? परमेश्वर मात्र हुनुहुन्छ जो साँच्चै असल हुनुहुन्छ! BSB BSB: “Why do you call Me good?” Jesus replied. “No one is good except God alone.
20 UDB तिम्रो प्रशनको जवाफमा, हाम्रो लागि आज्ञापालन गर्न परमेश्वरले मोशालाई दिनुभएका आज्ञाहरू तिमीलाई निश्चय नै थाहा छ: ‘व्यभिचार नगर, कसैको हत्या नगर, नचोर, झूटा विवरण नदे, आफ्नो बुबा र आमाको आदर गर!’” BSB BSB: You know the commandments: ‘Do not commit adultery, do not murder, do not steal, do not bear false witness, honor your father and mother.’”
21 UDB त्यो मानिसले भन्यो, “म युवा अवस्थामा हुँदादेखि नै मैले ती सबै आज्ञाहरू पालन गरेको छु।” BSB BSB: “All these I have kept from my youth,” he said.
22 UDB जब उसले त्यसो भनेको येशूले सुन्नुभयो, उहाँले उसलाई जवाफ दिनुभयो, “तिमीले अझै अरू एउटा कुरा गर्न आवश्यक छ। तिमीसँग भएका सबै कुरा बेच। त्यसपछि बाँच्नको निम्ति एकदमै थोरै भएका मानिसहरूलाई रूपियाँ देऊ। परिणाम स्वरूप तिमीसित स्वर्गमा आत्मिकी धन हुनेछ। त्यसपछि आऊ र मेरो चेल बन!” BSB BSB: On hearing this, Jesus told him, “You still lack one thing: Sell everything you own and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow Me.”

25 UDB वास्तवमा, धनी मानिसहरूलाई आफ्नो जीवनमा परमेश्वरलाई राज्य गर्न दिनुभन्दा एउटा ऊँटलाई सियोको नाथ्रीबाट भित्र छिर्न सजिलो हुन्छ।” BSB BSB: Indeed, it is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.”
26 UDB येशूले त्यसो भनेको सुन्नेहरूले जवाफ दिए “यसरी त एकजना पनि बचाइने छैन जस्तो लाग्छ!” BSB BSB: Those who heard this asked, “Who then can be saved?”
27 UDB तर येशूले भन्नुभयो, “जे मानिसहरूको लागि असम्भव छ त्यो परमेश्वरको लागि सम्भव छ।” BSB BSB: But Jesus said, “What is impossible with man is possible with God.”
28 UDB त्यसपछि पत्रुसले भने, “हेर्नुहोस्, तपाईंका चेलाहरू हुनलाई हामीसित भएका सबै कुरा हामीले छाडेका छौं।” BSB BSB: “Look,” said Peter, “we have left all we had to follow You.”
30 UDB तिनीहरूले छाडेकाभन्दा धेरै गुणा बढी यसै जीवनमा पाउनेछन् र आउने युगमा तिनीहरूले अनन्त जीवन पाउनेछन्।” BSB BSB: will fail to receive many times more in this age—and in the age to come, eternal life.”
31 UDB येशूले बाह्रजना चेलाहरूलाई एक ठाउँमा लानुभयो र तिनीहरूलाई भन्नुभयो, “होसियारसाथ सुन! अब हामी यरूशलेमसम्म जाँदैछौँ। हामी त्यहाँ हुँदा, म, मानिसको पुत्रको बरेमा अगमवक्ताले धेरै अघि लेखेका सबै कुरा पूरा हुनेछन्। BSB BSB: Then Jesus took the Twelve aside and said to them, “Look, we are going up to Jerusalem, and everything the prophets have written about the Son of Man will be fulfilled.
32 UDB मेरो शत्रुहरूले मलाई गैरयहूदीहरूको अधिकारमा दिनेछन्। तिनीहरूले मेरो गिल्ला गर्नेछन, मलाई घृणा गर्नेछन् र मलाई थुक्नेछन्। BSB BSB: He will be delivered over to the Gentiles and will be mocked and insulted and spit upon.
33 UDB तिनीहरूले मलाई कोर्रा लगाउनेछन् र त्यसपछि तिनीहरूले मलाई मार्नेछन्। तर त्यसको तेस्रो दिनमा म फेरी जीवित हुनेछु।” BSB BSB: They will flog Him and kill Him, and on the third day He will rise again.”
34 UDB तर उहाँले भन्नुभएका कुनै पनि कुरा चेलाहरूले बुझेनन्। उहाँले तिनीहरूलाई जे भन्दै हुनुहुन्थ्यो त्यसको अर्थ बुझ्नबाट परमेश्वरले तिनीहरूलाई रोक्नुभयो। BSB BSB: But the disciples did not understand any of these things. The meaning was hidden from them, and they did not comprehend what He was saying.
35 UDB जसै येशू र उहाँका चेलाहरू यरीहो सहरको नजिक आइपुगे, एउटा दृष्टिविहीन मानिस बाटोको छेउमा बस्दैथियो। उसले रूपियाँ भीख माग्दैथियो। BSB BSB: As Jesus drew near to Jericho, a blind man was sitting beside the road, begging.
36 UDB जब उसले मानिसहरूको भिड नजीकबाट गइरहेको सुन्यो, उसले कसैलाई सोध्यो, “के हुँदैछ?” BSB BSB: When he heard the crowd going by, he asked what was happening.
37 UDB तिनीहरूले उसलाई भने, “नासरत नगरबाट आउनुभएका मानिस, येशू जाँदै हुनुहुन्छ।” BSB BSB: “Jesus of Nazareth is passing by,” they told him.
38 UDB उसले चिच्यायो, “येशू, तपाईं जो राजा दाऊदको सन्तान हुनुहुन्छ, ममाथि दया गर्नुहोस्!” BSB BSB: So he called out, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!”
39 UDB भिडको अगाडि हिंडिरहेका मानिसहरूले उसलाई गाली गरे र उसलाई चुप लग्न भने। तर उसले अझै ठूलो स्वरले चिच्याएर, “तपाईं जो राजा दाऊदको सन्तान हुनुहुन्छ, ममाथि दया गर्नुहोस्!” BSB BSB: Those who led the way admonished him to be silent, but he cried out all the louder, “Son of David, have mercy on me!”
40 UDB येशू हिंड्न रोकिनुभयो र त्यस मानिसलाई उहाँकाहाँ ल्याउन मानिसहरूलाई आज्ञा गर्नुभयो। जब त्यो दृष्टिविहीन मानिस नजिक आयो, येशूले त्यसलाई सोध्नुभयो, BSB BSB: Jesus stopped and directed that the man be brought to Him. When he had come near, Jesus asked him,
41 UDB “म तिम्रो लागि के गरौं भन्ने तिमी चाहान्छौ?” उसले जवाफ दियो, “प्रभु, तपाईंले मलाई देख्न सक्ने बनाई दिनुहोस् भन्ने म चाहान्छु!” BSB BSB: “What do you want Me to do for you?” “Lord,” he said, “let me see again.”
42 UDB येशूले उसलाई भन्नुभयो, “त्यसो भए हेर! तिमीले मलाई विश्वास गरेको कारणले, मैले तिमीलाई निको परेको छु!” BSB BSB: “Receive your sight!” Jesus replied. “Your faith has healed you.”
43 UDB तुरुन्तै ऊ देख्न सक्ने भयो। र परमेश्वरको प्रशंसा गर्दै ऊ येशूसँग गयो। र जब त्यहाँ भएका सबै मानिसहरू यो देखे, तिनीहरूले पनि परमेश्वरको प्रशंसा गरे। BSB BSB: Immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus, glorifying God. And all the people, when they saw it, gave praise to God.
