1 UDB केही फरिसीहरू र सदुकीहरू येशूकहाँ आए र उहाँलाई भने, “परमेश्वरले तपाईंलाई साँच्चै नै हामीकहाँ पठाउनुभयो भनी हामीहरूलाई देखाउनुहोस्! आकाशमा एउटा आश्चर्य काम गर्नुहोस् र हामीलाई विश्वस्त पार्न उहाँको शक्ति प्रयोग गर्नुहोस्!” BSB BSB: Then the Pharisees and Sadducees came and tested Jesus by asking Him to show them a sign from heaven.
2 UDB उहाँले तिनीहरूलाई जवाफ दिनुभयो, “हाम्रो देशमा, साँझमा आकाश रातो छ भने, हामी भन्छौं, ‘भोलिको मौसम राम्रो हुने छ।’ BSB BSB: But He replied, “When evening comes, you say, ‘The weather will be fair, for the sky is red,’
3 UDB तर बिहानमा आकाश रातो छ भने, हामी भन्छौं, ‘आज आँधीहुरीको मौसम हुने छ।’ आकाशलाई हेरेर मौसम कस्तो हुने छ भनी तिमीहरू भन्न सक्छौ, तर यतिबेला तिमीहरूले आफ्ना वरिपरि भइरहेका कुराहरू देखेर पनि, परमेश्वरले के गर्दै हुनुहुन्छ भनी तिमीहरू बुझ्दैनौ। BSB BSB: and in the morning, ‘Today it will be stormy, for the sky is red and overcast.’ You know how to interpret the appearance of the sky, but not the signs of the times.
4 UDB मैले गरेका अचम्मका कामहरू तिमी दुष्ट मानिसहरूले देखेका छौ, तर तिमीहरू विश्वासयोग्य भएर परमेश्वरको आराधना गर्दैनौ। यसैले योना अगमवक्ता जसले एउटा ठूलो माछाको पेटभित्र तीन दिन बिताए तर फेरि बाहिर आएको आश्चर्य काम बाहेक अर्को आश्चर्य काम म तिमीहरूका लागि गर्ने छैन।” त्यसपछि येशूले तिनीहरूलाई छाड्नुभयो र आफ्ना चेलाहरूसँगै डुङ्गामा जानुभयो। BSB BSB: A wicked and adulterous generation demands a sign, but none will be given it except the sign of Jonah.” Then He left them and went away.
5 UDB उहाँहरू सबैजना डुङ्गा चडेर गालील समुद्रको अर्कोपट्टी जानुभयो। तब चेलाहरूले खानलाई आफूसँग कुनै पनि कुरा लानलाई बिर्सेको कुरा तिनीहरूलाई महसुस भयो। BSB BSB: When they crossed to the other side, the disciples forgot to take bread.
6 UDB त्यो क्षणमा येशूले तिनीहरूलाई भन्नुभयो, “फरिसीहरू र सदुकीहरूले तिमीहरूलाई दिन खोजेको खमीरलाई ग्रहण नगर्न सावधान होओ।” BSB BSB: “Watch out!” Jesus told them. “Beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and Sadducees.”
7 UDB येशूले तिनीहरूलाई जे भन्नुभएको थियो, त्यसको अर्थ तिनीहरूले बुझ्ने कोशिश गरे, र तिनीहरूले एक आपसमा भने, “हामीले खानलाई कुनै कुरा पनि ल्याउन बिर्सिएको कारणले उहाँले त्यसो भन्नुभएको हुनुपर्छ!” BSB BSB: They discussed this among themselves and concluded, “It is because we did not bring any bread.”
8 UDB तर तिनीहरू के भन्दै छन् भनी येशूले जान्नुहुन्थ्यो र तिनीहरूलाई जवाफ दिनुभयो, “तिमीहरूले रोटी ल्याउन बिर्सिएको कारणले मैले फरिसीहरू र सदुकीहरूका खमीरको कुरा गरें भनी तिमीहरूले विचार गर्दा म निराश हुन्छु। म तिमीहरूका निम्ति अति थोरै मात्र गर्न सक्छु भनी तिमीहरू विश्वास गर्छौ।” BSB BSB: Aware of their conversation, Jesus said, “You of little faith, why are you debating among yourselves about having no bread?
9 UDB म खाना खाने कुराको बारेमा चिन्तित भएको छु भनी विचार नगर। कसरी मैले पाँच वटा रोटीले पाँच हजारलाई खुवाएको थिए, वा बाँकी भएको कति थुन्से खाना तिमीहरूले जम्मा पार्यौ, त्यो तिमीहरूले साच्चै बिर्सियौ? BSB BSB: Do you still not understand? Do you not remember the five loaves for the five thousand, and how many basketfuls you gathered?
10 UDB अथवा मैले सात वटा साना रोटीहरूलाई बढाइदिएर चार हजार मानिसहरूले खाएको कुरा नि? त्यतिबेला तिमीहरूले कति थुन्से रोटीका टुक्राहरू जम्मा गर्यौ? BSB BSB: Or the seven loaves for the four thousand, and how many basketfuls you gathered?
11 UDB मैले तिमीहरूलाई साँच्चिकै रोटीको बारेमा भनेको थिइन भनी तिमीहरूले बुझ्नुपर्ने हो। फरिसीहरू र सदुकीहरूले दिने खमीर तिमीहरू ग्रहण नगर।” BSB BSB: How do you not understand that I was not telling you about bread? But beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and Sadducees.”
12 UDB त्यसपछि येशूले रोटीमा हुने खमीरको बारेमा बोल्नुभएको थिएन भनी चेलाहरूले बुझे। त्यसको साटोमा, उहाँले फरिसीहरू र सदुकीहरूका गलत शिक्षाको बारेमा बोल्दै हुनुहुन्थ्यो। BSB BSB: Then they understood that He was not telling them to beware of the leaven used in bread, but of the teaching of the Pharisees and Sadducees.
13 UDB जब येशू र उहाँका चेलाहरू कैसरिया फिलिप्पी शहरको नजिकैका क्षेत्रमा प्रवेश गर्नुभयो, उहाँले तिनीहरूलाई सोध्नुभयो, “म, मानिसका पुत्रलाई मानिसहरू साँच्चै को हो भन्छन्?” BSB BSB: When Jesus came to the region of Caesarea Philippi, He questioned His disciples: “Who do people say the Son of Man is?”
14 UDB तिनीहरूले जवाफ दिए, “केही मानिसहरूले तपाईंलाई जीवित हुनुभएको बप्तिस्मा दिने यूहन्ना हो भन्छन्। अरूहरूले तपाईं परमेश्वरले प्रतिज्ञा गर्नुभएअनुसार स्वर्गबाट फर्केर आएका एलिया अगमवक्ता हो भन्छन्। अझै अरूहरूले तपाईंलाई यर्मिया अगमवक्ता हो वा धेरै अघि जीवन बिताएका अगमवक्ताहरूमध्ये एकजना फेरि जीवित भएर आएको हो भन्छन्। BSB BSB: They replied, “Some say John the Baptist; others say Elijah; and still others, Jeremiah or one of the prophets.”
15 UDB येशूले तिनीहरूलाई भन्नुभयो, “तिमीहरू नि? तिमीहरू मलाई को हो भन्छौ?” BSB BSB: “But what about you?” Jesus asked. “Who do you say I am?”
16 UDB सिमोन पत्रुसले उहाँलाई भने, “तपाईं ख्रीष्ट हुनुहुन्छ! तपाईं सर्वशक्तिमान परमेश्वरका पुत्र हुनुहुन्छ।” BSB BSB: Simon Peter answered, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”
17 UDB त्यसपछि येशूले तिनलाई भन्नुभयो, “योनाका छोरा सिमोन, परमेश्वर तिमीसँग खुशी हुनुहुन्छ। तिमीले भर्खरै जे भन्यौो– तिमीलाई यो कुनै मानिसले प्रकट गरेको होइन। त्यसको साटोमा, स्वर्गमा बस्नुहुने मेरो पिताले यो तिमीलाई प्रकट गर्नुभएको हो। BSB BSB: Jesus replied, “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah! For this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by My Father in heaven.
19 UDB त्यसपछि उहाँले भन्नुभयो, “म तिमीलाई मानिसहरू परमेश्वरको स्वर्गको राज्य आउने बाटो खोल्न र बन्द गर्न सक्षम बनाउने छु। तिमीले पृथ्वीमा जे अनुमति दिन्छौ, परमेश्वरले स्वर्गमा अनुमति दिनुहुने छ। तिमीले पृथ्वीमा जे प्रतिबन्ध लगाउँछौ, परमेश्वरले स्वर्गमा प्रतिबन्ध लगाउनुहुने छ।” BSB BSB: I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven. Whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”
20 UDB त्यसपछि येशूले त्यतिबेला उहाँ ख्रीष्ट हुनुहुन्छ भनी कसैलाई नभन्न चेलाहरूलाई कडारूपमा चेतावनी दिनुभयो। BSB BSB: Then He admonished the disciples not to tell anyone that He was the Christ.
21 UDB त्यो समयदेखि येशूले चेलाहरूलाई आफूलाई यरूशलेम शहरमा जानु आवश्यक छ भनी सिकाउन थाल्नुभयो। त्यहाँ शासन गर्ने एल्डरहरू, मुख्य पुजारीहरू र यहूदी व्यवस्था सिकाउने मानिसहरूले उहाँलाई दुःख दिने छन् र मार्ने छन्। तब त्यसको तीन दिनपछि, उहाँ फेरि जीवित हुनुहुने छ। BSB BSB: From that time on Jesus began to show His disciples that He must go to Jerusalem and suffer many things at the hands of the elders, chief priests, and scribes, and that He must be killed and on the third day be raised to life.
22 UDB तर पत्रुसले येशूलाई छेउमा लगे र यी कुराहरू भन्नुभएको निम्ति उहाँलाई हप्काउन लागे। तिनले भने, “प्रभु, परमेश्वरले तपाईंलाई कदापि त्यस्तो हुन दिनुहुने छैन! निश्चय नै त्यो हुनुहुँदैन!” BSB BSB: Peter took Him aside and began to rebuke Him. “Far be it from You, Lord!” he said. “This shall never happen to You!”
23 UDB तब पत्रुसलाई हेर्न येशू फर्कनुभयो, र उहाँले तिनलाई भन्नुभयो, “मेरो नजरबाट हटिजा, किनकि तँद्वारा शैतान बोल्दै छ। तैंले मलाई पापमा पार्ने कोशिश गर्दै छस्। तैंले परमेश्वरले गर्नुहुने विचार होइन, तर मानिसले गर्ने विचार मात्र गर्दै छस्!” BSB BSB: But Jesus turned and said to Peter, “Get behind Me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to Me. For you do not have in mind the things of God, but the things of men.”
24 UDB त्यसपछि येशूले आफ्ना चेलाहरूलाई भन्नुभयो, “कसैले ममा विश्वास गर्ने इच्छा गर्छ भने, उसले आफ्ना इच्छाहरू र उद्देश्यहरू छोड्नुपर्छ, र उसले आफ्नो क्रुस उठाउनुपर्छ, र म जता जान्छु त्यतै जानुपर्छ। BSB BSB: Then Jesus told His disciples, “If anyone wants to come after Me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow Me.
25 UDB जसले आफ्नो जीवन बचाउने कोशिश गर्छ भने, आफ्नो जीवन बचाउनुको साटोमा, त्यसले त्यो गुमाउने छ। तर जसले मेरो निम्ति आफ्नो जीवन गुमाउँछ, त्यसले आफ्नो जीवन पाउने छ। BSB BSB: For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.
26 UDB एकजना व्यक्तिको निम्ति उसले यस संसारमा इच्छा गरेका सबै कुरा प्राप्त गर्छ, तर उसले आफ्नो जीवन गमाउँछ भने, के असल हुन्छ र? मनिसले आफ्ना धनदौलतमा तेस्तो के नै कमाउँछ जुन उसको आफ्नै जीवन जत्तिकै मूल्यवान हुन्छ? BSB BSB: What will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, yet forfeits his soul? Or what can a man give in exchange for his soul?
27 UDB ध्यान दिएर सुन! म, मानिसको पुत्रले, यस पृथ्वीलाई छोड्ने छु, तर म फर्किने छु, र स्वर्गका स्वर्गदूतहरू मेरो साथमा हुने छन्। त्यो समयमा मेरो पितासँग भएको महिमाको ज्योति मसँग हुने छ, र हरेक व्यक्तिले यस संसारमा जीवित हुँदा तिनीहरूले जे काम गरे त्यसअनुसार म तिनीहरूलाई इनाम दिने छु। BSB BSB: For the Son of Man will come in His Father’s glory with His angels, and then He will repay each one according to what he has done.
28 UDB ध्यान दिएर सुन! तिमीहरू जो अहिले यहाँ भएकाहरूमध्ये कसैले मलाई, स्वर्गबाट आएको एकजनालाई, म राजा भएर फेरि आउँदा देख्ने छौ। तिमीहरूको मृत्यु हुनुअघि तिमीहरूले यो देख्ने छौ!” BSB BSB: Truly I tell you, some who are standing here will not taste death before they see the Son of Man coming in His kingdom.”
