We saw His star in the east and have come to worship Him.”
3 UDB जब राजा हेरोदले ती मानिसहरूले सोध्दै गरेको कुराको बारेमा सुने, धेरै चिन्तित भए। यरूशलेममा भएका धेरै मानिसहरू पनि चिन्तित भए। BSB BSB: When King Herod heard this, he was disturbed, and all Jerusalem with him.
4 UDB तब सबै निर्णायक पुजारीहरू र यहूदी व्यवस्थाका शिक्षकहरूलाई हेरोदले एकसाथ बोलाए। अगमवक्ताहरूले भविष्यवाणी गरेका ख्रीष्ट कहाँ जन्मिनुपर्छ भनी तिनले तिनीहरूलाई सोधे। BSB BSB: And when he had assembled all the chief priests and scribes of the people, he asked them where the Christ was to be born.
5 UDB तिनीहरूले तिनलाई भने, “यहाँ यहूदिया प्रान्तको बेथलेहेम नगरमा उहाँ जन्मिनुहुने छ, किनभने मिका अगमवक्ताले धेरै अघि लेखे, BSB BSB: “In Bethlehem in Judea,” they replied, “for this is what the prophet has written:
6 UDB ‘तिमीहरू जो यहूदिया मुलुकको बेथलेहेममा वसोवास गर्छौ, तिमीहरूको नगर निश्चय नै महत्त्वपूर्ण छ, किनभने तिमीहरूको नगरबाट एकजना मानिस शासक हुनुहुने छ। उहाँले इस्राएलमा बस्ने मेरो मानिसहरूको नेतृत्व गर्नुहने छ।’” BSB BSB: ‘But you, Bethlehem, in the land of Judah, are by no means least among the rulers of Judah, for out of you will come a ruler who will be the shepherd of My people Israel.’”
7 UDB त्यसपछि राजा हेरोदले ताराहरूको अध्ययन गरेका ती मानिसहरूलाई गोप्यरूपमा बोलाए। पहिलो पल्ट त्यो तारा देखा परेको ठिक समय तिनले तिनीहरूलाई सोधे। BSB BSB: Then Herod called the Magi secretly and learned from them the exact time the star had appeared.

9 UDB त्यसपछि ती मानिसहरू बेथलेहेम नगरतिर गए। तिनीहरूलाई उदेक लाग्ने कुरा, तिनीहरू पूर्व देशमा हुँदा तिनीहरूले देखेका तारा बालक भएको घरमाथि पुगेर नरोकिएसम्म फेरि पनि तिनीहरूको अघि गयो। BSB BSB: After they had heard the king, they went on their way, and the star they had seen in the east went ahead of them until it stood over the place where the Child was.
10 UDB जब तिनीहरूले त्यो तारा देखे, तिनीहरू धेरै हर्षित भए, र त्यसको पछि लागे। BSB BSB: When they saw the star, they rejoiced with great delight.

Then they opened their treasures and presented Him with gifts of gold and frankincense and myrrh.

Stay there until I tell you, for Herod is going to search for the Child to kill Him.”

Sending orders, he put to death all the boys in Bethlehem and its vicinity who were two years old and under, according to the time he had learned from the Magi.

20 UDB “उठ र बालक र उहाँको आमालाई लेऊ र बस्नलाई इस्राएल देशमा फर्केर जाऊ, किनभने बालकलाई मार्न खोज्ने मानिसहरूको मृत्यु भइसकेको छ।” BSB BSB: “Get up!” he said. “Take the Child and His mother and go to the land of Israel, for those seeking the Child’s life are now dead.”
