1 UDB येशूले ती सबै कुराहरू भनेर सक्नुभएपछि, उहाँले चेलाहरूलाई भन्नुभयो, BSB BSB: When Jesus had finished saying all these things, He told His disciples,

8 UDB जब चेलाहरूले त्यो देखे, तिनीहरू साह्रै रिसाए। तिनीहरूमध्ये एकजनाले भने, “यो अत्तरलाई व्यर्थमा नाश गर्नु अत्यन्तै नराम्रो कुरा हो! BSB BSB: When the disciples saw this, they were indignant and asked, “Why this waste?
9 UDB हामीले यसलाई बिक्री गर्न र त्यसबाट धेरै पैसा बनाउन सक्थ्यौं। त्यसपछि त्यो पैसा हामीले गरीब मानिसहरूलाई दिन सक्थ्यौं।” BSB BSB: This perfume could have been sold at a high price, and the money given to the poor.”
10 UDB तिनीहरू के भन्दै थिए त्यो येशूलाई थाहा थियो, यसैले उहाँले तिनीहरूलाई भन्नुभयो, “तिमीहरूले यी स्त्रीलाई दुःख दिनुहुँदैन। यिनले मेरो निम्ति सुन्दर काम गरेकी छिन्।” BSB BSB: Aware of this, Jesus asked, “Why are you bothering this woman? She has done a beautiful deed to Me.
11 UDB यो कुरा मनमा राख कि गरीब मानिसहरू तिमीहरूको माझमा सधैंभरि हुनेछन्, यसैले जब तिमीहरूले इच्छा गर्छौ तब तिमीहरूले तिनीहरूलाई सहायता गर्न सक्छौ। तर म तिमीहरूसँग सधैंभरि रहनेछैन!” BSB BSB: The poor you will always have with you, but you will not always have Me.
12 UDB यिनले यो सुगन्धित अत्तर मेरो शरीरमा खन्याउँदा, यो यस्तो लाग्थ्यो कि यिनलाई थाहा थियो कि म चाँडै नै मर्न जाँदैछु। र यो यस्तो लाग्छ कि यिनले मेरो शरीरलाई दफनको निम्ति अभिषेक गरेकी थिइन्। BSB BSB: By pouring this perfume on Me, she has prepared My body for burial.
13 UDB म तिमीहरूलाई यो भन्नेछुः सारा संसारमा जहाँजहाँ मानिसहरूले मेरो बारेमा सुसमाचार प्रचार गर्छन्, यी स्त्रीले जे गरेकी छन् त्यो तिनीहरूले भन्नेछन्, र परिणामस्वरूप, मानिसहरूले सधैं यिनलाई याद गर्नेछ्न्।” BSB BSB: Truly I tell you, wherever this gospel is preached in all the world, what she has done will also be told in memory of her.”
14 UDB तब यहूदा स्करियोत, ऊ बाह्रजना चेलाहरूमध्येको एकजना भए तापनि, मुख्य पुजारीहरूकहाँ गयो। BSB BSB: Then one of the Twelve, the one called Judas Iscariot, went to the chief priests

16 UDB त्यो समयदेखि तिनीहरूले येशूलाई कतिबेला गिरफ्तार गर्न सक्छन् भनी यहूदाले मौका हेर्न थाल्यो। BSB BSB: So from then on Judas looked for an opportunity to betray Jesus.
17 UDB अखमिरि रोटीको एकहप्ता-लामो चाडको पहिलो दिनमा, चेलाहरू येशूकहाँ गए र सोधे, “निस्तार-चाडको उत्सवको लागि हामी भोज कहाँ तयार गरौं भनी तपाईं इच्छा गर्नुहुन्छ जसले गर्दा हामी त्यो तपाईंसँगै खाना सकौं?” BSB BSB: On the first day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread, the disciples came to Jesus and asked, “Where do You want us to prepare for You to eat the Passover?”
18 UDB येशूले चेलाहरूमध्ये दुईजनालाई तिनीहरूले के गर्नुपर्छ भन्ने बारेमा सुझाव दिनुभयो। उहाँले तिनीहरूलाई भन्नुभयो, “सहरमा एकजना मानिसकहाँ जाओ जससँग मैले पहिले नै यो कुरा मिलाएको छु। उसलाई भन, म गुरुले यसो भन्नुहुन्छः ‘मैले तिमीसँग भनेको कुराको निम्ति समय नजिक छ। म आफ्ना चेलाहरूसँग तिम्रो घरमा निस्तार-चाडको भोजको उत्सव मनाउन जाँदैछु, र भोज तयार पार्नलाई मैले यी दुई जनालाई पठाएको छु।’” BSB BSB: He answered, “Go into the city to a certain man and tell him that the Teacher says, ‘My time is near. I will keep the Passover with My disciples at your house.’”
19 UDB यसैले येशूले दुईजना चेलाहरूलाई भन्नुभए जस्तै तिनीहरूले गरे। तिनीहरू गए र त्यो मानिसको घरमा निस्तार-चाडको भोज तयार पारे। BSB BSB: So the disciples did as Jesus had directed them and prepared the Passover.

21 UDB उहाँले तिनीहरूलाई भन्नुभयो, “यो कुरा ध्यान दिएर सुनः तिमीहरूमध्य एकजनाले मलाई गिरफ्तार गर्न मेरा सत्रुहरूलाई सहायता गर्दैछ।” BSB BSB: And while they were eating, He said to them, “Truly I tell you, one of you will betray Me.”
22 UDB चेलाहरू साह्रै उदास भए। तिनीहरूले उहाँलाई एकपछि अर्को गर्दै भन्न सुरु गरे, “प्रभु, त्यो निश्चय पनि म होइन!” BSB BSB: They were deeply grieved and began to ask Him one after another, “Surely not I, Lord?”
23 UDB उहाँले जवाफ दिनुभयो, “मलाई गिरफ्तार गर्नलाई मेरा शत्रुहरूलाई मद्दत गर्ने तिमीहरूमध्ये एकजना त्यो हो जसले मसँगै कचौरामा रोटी चोप्दैछ।” BSB BSB: Jesus answered, “The one who has dipped his hand into the bowl with Me will betray Me.
24 UDB यो पक्का हो कि म, मानिसको पुत्र, मर्नेछु, किनकि मेरो बारेमा धर्मशास्त्रले त्यही भन्छ। तर मलाई गिरफ्तार गर्नलाई मेरा शत्रुहरूलाई मद्दत गर्ने मानिसलाई डरलाग्दो दण्ड हुनेछ! त्यो मानिसको त जन्म नै नभएको भए उसको लागि असल हुन्थ्यो। BSB BSB: The Son of Man will go just as it is written about Him, but woe to that man by whom He is betrayed. It would be better for him if he had not been born.”
25 UDB तब उहाँलाई धोका दिन जाँदै गरेको यहूदाले भन्यो, “गुरुज्यू, त्यो निश्चय पनि म होइन!” येशूले जवाफ दिनुभयो, “हो, त्यो तिमी नै भन्दैछौ।” BSB BSB: Then Judas, who would betray Him, said, “Surely not I, Rabbi?” Jesus answered, “You have said it yourself.”
26 UDB उहाँहरूले खान सुरु गर्नुहुँदा, येशूले एउटा रोटी लिनुभयो र त्यसको निम्ति परमेश्वरलाई धन्यवाद दिनुभयो। उहाँले त्यसलाई टुक्रा पार्नुभयो, त्यो चेलाहरूलाई दिनुभयो र भन्नुभयो, “यो रोटी लेओ र यो खाओ। यो मेरो शरीर हो।” BSB BSB: While they were eating, Jesus took bread, spoke a blessing and broke it, and gave it to the disciples, saying, “Take and eat; this is My body.”
27 UDB पछि उहाँले दाखमद्यको एउटा कचौरा लिनुभयो र त्यसको निम्ति परमेश्वरलाई धन्यवाद दिनुभयो। तब त्यो उहाँले तिनीहरूलाई दिनुभयो र भन्नुभयो, “तिमीहरू सबैजना यो कचौराबाट पिओ। BSB BSB: Then He took the cup, gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you.
28 UDB यो कचौरामा भएको दाखमद्य मेरो रगत हो, जुन चाँडै नै मेरो शरीरबाट बग्नेछ। यो रगत नयाँ करारको चिन्ह हुनेछ जसलाई धेरै मानिसहरूको पापहरू क्षमा गर्नलाई परमेश्वरले बग्न दिंदै हुनुहुन्छ। BSB BSB: This is My blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.
29 UDB यो होसियारसाथ ध्यान देओः जबसम्म मैले यसलाई एउटा नयाँ अर्थको साथमा तिमीहरूसँग पिउने समय हुँदैन तबसम्म म यसरी अब अरू दाखमद्य पिउनेछैन। मेरा पिताले पूर्णरूपले राज्य गर्नुहुँदा यो हुनआउनेछ।” BSB BSB: I tell you, I will not drink of this fruit of the vine from now on until that day when I drink it anew with you in My Father’s kingdom.”
30 UDB उहाँहरूले एउटा भजन गाएपछि, उहाँहरू जैतूनको डाँडातिर जान लाग्नुभयो। BSB BSB: And when they had sung a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives.
31 UDB बाटोमा येशूले तिनीहरूलाई भन्नुभयो, “मलाई जे हुनेछ त्यो कारणले आज राती तिमीहरू सबैले मलाई त्याग्नेछौ! यो निश्चितरूपमा हुनुपर्छ किनभने परमेश्वरले भन्नुभएका यी वचनहरू धर्मशास्त्रमा लेखिएका छन्ः ‘मानिसहरूले गोठालोलाई मार्ने म बनाउनेछु र तिनीहरूले सबै भेडाहरू तितरबितर पार्नेछन्।” BSB BSB: Then Jesus said to them, “This very night you will all fall away on account of Me. For it is written: ‘I will strike the Shepherd, and the sheep of the flock will be scattered.’
32 UDB तर मेरो मृत्यु भई र फेरि जीवित भएपछि, म तिमीहरूका अघि गालीलमा जानेछु र तिमीहरूलाई त्यहाँ भेट्नेछु।” BSB BSB: But after I have risen, I will go ahead of you into Galilee.”
33 UDB पत्रुसले जवाफ दिए, “जब तपाईंलाई हुने घटना अरू सबै चेलाहरूले देख्छन्, तब सायद तिनीहरूले तपाईंलाई त्याग्नेछन् तर म निश्चितरूपमा तपाईंलाई कदापि छोड्नेछैन!” BSB BSB: Peter said to Him, “Even if all fall away on account of You, I never will.”
34 UDB येशूले तिनलाई जवाफ दिनुभयो, “सत्य यही हो कि आजकै रातमा, भाले बास्नुभन्दा पहिले, तिमीले मलाई चिन्दैनौ भनेर तिमीले तीन पल्ट भन्नेछौ!” BSB BSB: “Truly I tell you,” Jesus declared, “this very night, before the rooster crows, you will deny Me three times.”
35 UDB पत्रुसले उहाँलाई भने, “मैले तपाईंको सुरक्षा गर्दैजाँदा तिनीहरूले मलाई मार्छन् भने पनि, मैले तपाईंलाई चिन्दिन भेनर म कहिल्यै पनि भन्नेछैन!” अरू बाँकी सबै चेलाहरूले पनि यही कुरा भने। BSB BSB: Peter replied, “Even if I have to die with You, I will never deny You.” And all the other disciples said the same thing.
36 UDB त्यसपछि येशू चेलाहरूसँग गेतसमनी भन्ने ठाउँमा जानुभयो। त्यहाँ उहाँले भन्नुभयो, “मैले त्यहाँ जाँदा र प्रार्थना गर्दा तिमीहरू यहाँ बस।” BSB BSB: Then Jesus went with His disciples to a place called Gethsemane, and He told them, “Sit here while I go over there and pray.”
37 UDB उहाँले पत्रुस, याकूब र यूहन्नालाई आफ्नो साथमा लानुभयो। उहाँ अत्यन्तै बिचलित हुनुभयो। BSB BSB: He took with Him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee and began to be sorrowful and deeply distressed.
38 UDB तब उहाँले तिनीहरूलाई भन्नुभयो, “म साह्रै दुःखी भएको छु, यतिसम्म कि म मर्न लागेझैँ मलाई महसुस भएको छ! यहाँ बस र मसँगै जागा रहो!” BSB BSB: Then He said to them, “My soul is consumed with sorrow to the point of death. Stay here and keep watch with Me.”
39 UDB अलि पर पुगेपछि, उहाँ आफैं घोप्टो परेर जमीनमा लत्रिनुभयो। उहाँले प्रार्थना गर्नुभयो, “मेरो पिता, यदि सम्भव हुन्छ भने, मैले दुःख भोग्नुपर्नेछ भनी मैले जानेको किसिमले दुःख भोग्ने मलाई नबनाउनुहोस्। तर मेरो इच्छा अनुसार नगर्नुहोस्। बरु, तपाईंको इच्छा अनुसार गर्नुहोस्!” BSB BSB: Going a little farther, He fell facedown and prayed, “My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me. Yet not as I will, but as You will.”
40 UDB त्यसपछि उहाँ तीनजना चेलाहरूकहाँ फर्कनुभयो र तिनीहरू निदाइरहेको देख्नुभयो। उहाँले पत्रुसलाई उठाउँनुभयो र तिनलाई भन्नुभयो, “तिमीहरू निन्द्रामा परेको र मसँग अलिकति समय पनि जागा रहन नसकेको देख्दा म निराश छु! BSB BSB: Then Jesus returned to the disciples and found them sleeping. “Were you not able to keep watch with Me for one hour?” He asked Peter.
41 UDB तिमीहरू जागा रहनु र प्रार्थना गर्नुपर्छ यसैले कि कसैले तिमीहरूलाई पाप गर्न परीक्षामा पार्न खोज्दा तिमीहरू त्यसको विरोध गर्न सक्छौ। म जे तिमीहरूलाई भन्छु, त्यो गर्न तिमीहरू इच्छा त गर्छौ, तर त्यो साँच्चै नै गर्नलाई तिमीहरू सामर्थी छैनौ।” BSB BSB: “Watch and pray so that you will not enter into temptation. For the spirit is willing, but the body is weak.”
42 UDB उहाँ दोस्रोपल्ट त्यो ठाउँबाट अलिपर जानुभयो। उहाँले प्रार्थना गर्नुभयो, “मेरा पिता, मैले यो दुःख भोग्नु आवश्यक छ भने, तपाईंको इच्छा पूरा होस्।” BSB BSB: A second time He went away and prayed, “My Father, if this cup cannot pass unless I drink it, may Your will be done.”
43 UDB जब उहाँ तीनजना चेलाहरूकहाँ फर्कनुभयो, उहाँले तिनीहरूलाई फेरि पनि निदाएको देख्नुभयो। तिनीहरूले आफ्नाो आँखा खुला राख्न सकेनन्। BSB BSB: And again Jesus returned and found them sleeping, for their eyes were heavy.
44 UDB यसैले उहाँले तिनीहरूलाई छोड्नुभयो र फेरि अलिपर जानुभयो। यसअघि प्रार्थना गर्दा भन्नुभएजस्तै गरी उहाँले तेस्रोपल्ट पनि प्रार्थना गर्नुभयो। BSB BSB: So He left them and went away once more and prayed a third time, saying the same thing.
45 UDB त्यसपछि उहाँ सबै चेलाहरूकहाँ फर्कनुभयो। उहाँले तिनीहरूलाई बिउँझाउनुभयो र तिनीहरूलाई भन्नुभयो, “तिमीहरू अझै पनि निदाउँदै र आराम गर्दै रहेकोले म निराश छु! हेर! म, मानिसको पुत्रलाई गिरफ्तार गर्नलाई कसैले पापी मानसिहरूलाई मद्दत गर्न लाग्दैछ! BSB BSB: Then He returned to the disciples and said, “Are you still sleeping and resting? Look, the hour is near, and the Son of Man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.
46 UDB उठ! हामी तिनीहरूलाई भेट्न जाऔं! मलाई गिरफ्तार गर्न तिनीहरूलाई मद्दत गर्ने एकजना यहाँ आउँदैछ!” BSB BSB: Rise, let us go! See, My betrayer is approaching!”
48 UDB तिनीहरूलाई एउटा संकेत दिनेछ भनेर यहूदाले पहिले नै कुरा गरेको थियो। उसले तिनीहरूलाई भनेको थियो, “जुन मानिसलाई म चुम्बन गर्नेछु, तपाईंहरूले खोजेको मान्छे तिनै हुन्। तिनलाई गिरफ्तार गर्नुहोस्!” BSB BSB: Now the betrayer had arranged a signal with them: “The One I kiss is the man; arrest Him.”
49 UDB ऊ तुरुन्तै येशूकहाँ गयो र भन्यो, “अभिवादन गुरुज्यू!” तब उसले येशूलाई चुम्बन गर्यो। BSB BSB: Going directly to Jesus, he said, “Greetings, Rabbi!” and kissed Him.
50 UDB येशूले जवाफ दिनुभयो, “मित्र, तिमी जे गर्न खोज्दैछौ, त्यो छिटो गर।” त्यसपछि यहूदासँग आएका मानिसहरू अगाडि आए र येशूलाई पक्रे। BSB BSB: “Friend,” Jesus replied, “do what you came for.” Then the men stepped forward, seized Jesus, and arrested Him.
53 UDB मैले आफ्नो पितालाई बिन्ति गरें भने, उहाँले मलाई मद्दत गर्नलाई तुरुन्तै बाह्र पल्टनभन्दा बढी स्वर्गदूतहरू पठाउनुहुन्न भन्ने तिमीहरूको विचार छ? BSB BSB: Are you not aware that I can call on My Father, and He will at once put at My disposal more than twelve legions of angels?
54 UDB तर मैले त्यसो गरेको भए, ख्रिष्टलाई के हुनेछ भन्ने बारेमा अगमवक्ताहरूले धर्मशास्त्रमा लेखेका कुरा पूरा हुने थिएन।” BSB BSB: But how then would the Scriptures be fulfilled that say it must happen this way?”
55 UDB त्यो समयमा येशूलाई पक्रँदै गरेको भिडलाई उहाँले भन्नुभयो, “म एक डाँकु भए जस्तै गरी तपाईंहरू यहाँ मलाई पक्रनलाई तरवारहरू र लाठ्ठीहरू बोकेर आउनुभएको छ। दिनदिनै मानिसहरूलाई शिक्षा दिंदै म मन्दिर परिसरमा बसें। तपाईंहरूले किन मलाई त्यसबेला पक्रनुभएन? BSB BSB: At that time Jesus said to the crowd, “Have you come out with swords and clubs to arrest Me as you would an outlaw? Every day I sat teaching in the temple courts, and you did not arrest Me.
56 UDB तर धर्मशास्त्रमा अगमवक्ताहरूले मेरो बारेमा जे लेखेका छन् त्यो पूरा हुनलाई यी सबै घट्नाहरू हुन आए।” त्यसपछि सबै चेलाहरूले येशूलाई छाडे र भागे। BSB BSB: But this has all happened so that the writings of the prophets would be fulfilled.” Then all the disciples deserted Him and fled.
58 UDB पत्रुस टाढैबाट येशूको पछि लागे। तिनी प्रधान पुूजारीको आँगनमा गए। तिनी आँगनमा पसे र के हुन्छ भनी हेर्नलाई पहरेदारहरूसँगै बसे। BSB BSB: But Peter followed Him at a distance, right up to the courtyard of the high priest. And he went in and sat down with the guards to see the outcome.
59 UDB मुख्य पुजारीहरू र अरू बाँकी यहूदी सभासदहरूले यस्ता व्यक्तिहरू खोज्ने प्रयास गर्दै थिए जसले येशूको बारेमा झुटा कुराहरू बोल्नेछन्, यसैले कि तिनीहरूले उहाँलाई मृत्यदण्डको लागि दोषी घोषणा गर्न सकून्। BSB BSB: Now the chief priests and the whole Sanhedrin were seeking false testimony against Jesus in order to put Him to death.
60 UDB तर धेरै मानिसहरूले उहाँको बारेमा झुटो कुराहे बोले तापनि, कसैले कुनै पनि उपयोगी कुरा भनेको एकजना पनि तिनीहरूले पाउन सकेनन्। अन्तमा दुईजना मानिसहरू अघि आए BSB BSB: But they did not find any, though many false witnesses came forward. Finally two came forward
61 UDB र भने, “यो मानिसले भन्यो, ‘म परमेश्वरको मन्दिरलाई नाश गर्न र त्यसलाई तीन दिनमा फेरि बनाउन सक्छु।’” BSB BSB: and declared, “This man said, ‘I am able to destroy the temple of God and rebuild it in three days.’”
62 UDB त्यसपछि प्रधान पुजारी खडा भए र येशूलाई सोधे, “के तिमी जवाफ दिंदैनौ? तिमीलाई दोष लगाउनलाई तिनीहरूले भन्दै गरेका यी कुराहरूका बारेमा तिमी के भन्छौ?” BSB BSB: So the high priest stood up and asked Him, “Have You no answer? What are these men testifying against You?”
63 UDB तर येशू शान्त रहनुभयो। तब प्रधान पुजारीले उहाँलाई भने, “सत्य कुरा हामीलाई भन्न म तिमीलाई आदेश दिन्छु; तिमीलाई जान्दछौ कि सर्वशक्तिमान परमेश्वरले तिम्रा कुरा सुन्दै हुनुहुन्छः के तिमी परमेश्वरको पुत्र, ख्रीष्ट हौ?” BSB BSB: But Jesus remained silent. Then the high priest said to Him, “I charge You under oath by the living God: Tell us if You are the Christ, the Son of God.”
