1 UDB ମୁଁ ଯେପରି ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟଙ୍କ ଅନୁକାରୀ, ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ମଧ୍ୟ ସେହିପରି ମୋହର ଅନୁକାରୀ ହୁଅ I BSB BSB: You are to imitate me, just as I imitate Christ.
2 UDB ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଯେ ସମସ୍ତ ବିଷୟରେ ମୋତେ ସ୍ମରଣ କରିଥାଅ, ଏବଂ ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଯେ ସମସ୍ତ ଗୁରୁତ୍ତ୍ୱପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ଶିକ୍ଷା ଦେଇଅଛି, ସେହି ସବୁ ପାଳନ କରୁଅଛ, ଏଥିପାଇଁ ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ପ୍ରଶଂସା କରୁଅଛି I BSB BSB: Now I commend you for remembering me in everything and for maintaining the traditions, just as I passed them on to you.
3 UDB କିନ୍ତୁ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟ ପ୍ରତ୍ୟେକ ପୁରୁଷର ଅଧିକାରୀ ଏବଂ ପୁରୁଷ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀର ଅଧିକାରୀ ଓ ଈଶ୍ୱର ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟଙ୍କର ଅଧିକାରୀ, ଏହା ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଜାଣ ବୋଲି ମୋହର ଇଚ୍ଛା I BSB BSB: But I want you to understand that the head of every man is Christ, and the head of the woman is man, and the head of Christ is God.
4 UDB ତେଣୁ ଯଦି କୌଣସି ପୁରୁଷ ଆପଣା ମସ୍ତକ ଆଚ୍ଛାଦନ କରି ପ୍ରାର୍ଥନା କରେ କିମ୍ବା ଭାବବାଣୀ କହେ, ସେ ଆପଣାର ଅପମାନ କରେ I BSB BSB: Every man who prays or prophesies with his head covered dishonors his head.
6 UDB କାରଣ ଯଦି ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ ମସ୍ତକ ଆଚ୍ଛାଦନ ନ କରେ, ତେବେ ସେ କେଶ ମଧ୍ୟ କାଟିପକାଉ; କିନ୍ତୁ ଯଦି ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ ପକ୍ଷରେ କେଶ କାଟିବା ବା ମସ୍ତକ ମୁଁଣ୍ଡନ କରିବା ଲଜ୍ଜାଜନକ, ତାହାହେଲେ ସେ ମସ୍ତକ ଆଚ୍ଛାଦନ କରୁ I BSB BSB: If a woman does not cover her head, she should have her hair cut off. And if it is shameful for a woman to have her hair cut or shaved off, she should cover her head.
7 UDB ପୁରୁଷ ଆପଣା ମସ୍ତକ ଆଚ୍ଛାଦନ କରିବା ଉଚିତ୍ ନୁହେଁ କାରଣ ଈଶ୍ୱର ତାହାକୁ ଆପଣା ପ୍ରତିମୂର୍ତ୍ତିରେ ନିର୍ମାଣ କରିଅଛନ୍ତି, ଓ ପୁରୁଷ ଈଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ଗୌରବ I କିନ୍ତୁ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ’ ପୁରୁଷର ଗୌରବ I BSB BSB: A man ought not to cover his head, since he is the image and glory of God; but the woman is the glory of man.
8 UDB କାରଣ ଈଶ୍ୱର ପୁରୁଷ ଆଦମକୁ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ’ ହବାଠାରୁ ନିର୍ମାଣ କରିନାହାନ୍ତି, ବରଂ ସେ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ’ ହବାକୁ ପୁରୁଷ ଆଦମଠାରୁ ନିର୍ମାଣ କରିଅଛନ୍ତି I BSB BSB: For man did not come from woman, but woman from man.
9 UDB ଆଉ ଈଶ୍ୱର ପୁରୁଷକୁ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀର ସାହାଯ୍ୟ କରିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ନିର୍ମାଣ କରି ନାହାନ୍ତି, କିନ୍ତୁ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ’କୁ ପୁରୁଷର ସାହାଯ୍ୟ କରିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ନିର୍ମାଣ କରିଅଛନ୍ତି I BSB BSB: Neither was man created for woman, but woman for man.
10 UDB ଏଥିପାଇଁ ଦୂତମାନଙ୍କ ସକାଶେ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀର ଆପଣା ମସ୍ତକରେ ଅଧିକାରର ଚିହ୍ନ ଘେନିବା ଉଚିତ୍ I BSB BSB: For this reason a woman ought to have a sign of authority on her head, because of the angels.
11 UDB ତେଣୁ ଯେପରି ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ସହିତ ସଂଯୁକ୍ତ ହୋଇଅଛୁ, ସ୍ତ୍ରୀମାନଙ୍କୁ ପୁରୁଷମାନଙ୍କର ଆବଶ୍ୟକତା, ଏବଂ ପୁରୁଷମାନଙ୍କୁ ସାହାଯ୍ୟ କରିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ’ମାନଙ୍କର ଆବଶ୍ୟକତା I BSB BSB: In the Lord, however, woman is not independent of man, nor is man independent of woman.
12 UDB କାରଣ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ’ ପୁରୁଷଠାରୁ ନିର୍ମାଣ ହୋଇଅଛି, ଏବଂ ପୁରୁଷ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ’ଠାରୁ ଜନ୍ମ ହୋଇଅଛି I ସେମାନେ ପରସ୍ପରଠାରେ ନିର୍ଭରଶୀଳ ଅଟନ୍ତି I କିନ୍ତୁ ସମସ୍ତ ବିଷୟ ଈଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କଠାରୁ ଉତ୍ପନ୍ନ I BSB BSB: For just as woman came from man, so also man is born of woman. But everything comes from God.
13 UDB ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ନିଜେ ନିଜେ ବିଚାର କର: ଆପଣା ମସ୍ତକ ଆଚ୍ଛାଦନ ନ କରି ଈଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ନିକଟରେ ପ୍ରାର୍ଥନା କରିବା ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ ପକ୍ଷରେ କ'ଣ ଉପଯୁକ୍ତ? BSB BSB: Judge for yourselves: Is it proper for a woman to pray to God with her head uncovered?
14 UDB ପ୍ରକୃତି ନିଜେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଶିକ୍ଷା ଦିଏ ଯେ, ପୁରୁଷ ଦୀର୍ଘ କେଶ ରଖିଲେ ତାହା ପକ୍ଷରେ ତାହା ଅପମାନଜନକ, BSB BSB: Doesn’t nature itself teach you that if a man has long hair, it is a disgrace to him,
15 UDB କିନ୍ତୁ ପ୍ରକୃତି ଆହୁରି ମଧ୍ୟ ଶିକ୍ଷା ଦିଏ ଯେ, ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ ଦୀର୍ଘ କେଶ ରଖିଲେ ତାହା ପକ୍ଷରେ ତାହା ଗୌରବଜନକ I କାରଣ ଆବରଣ ସ୍ୱରୂପେ ତା'ର କେଶ ତାହାକୁ ଈଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ଦ୍ୱାରା ଦିଆଯାଇଅଛି I BSB BSB: but that if a woman has long hair, it is her glory? For long hair is given to her as a covering.
16 UDB କିନ୍ତୁ ଏହି ବିଷୟରେ କେହି ବିବାଦ କରିବାକୁ ଇଚ୍ଛା କଲେ ସେ ଜାଣୁ ଯେ, ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ଏପ୍ରକାର ରୀତି ନାହିଁ, କିମ୍ବା ଈଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ମଣ୍ଡଳୀସମୂହରେ ଭିନ୍ନ କୌଣସି ବିଷୟ ନାହିଁ I BSB BSB: If anyone is inclined to dispute this, we have no other practice, nor do the churches of God.
17 UDB ଏହି ଆଦେଶରେ, ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ପ୍ରଭୁଭୋଜ ସମୟରେ ଯେଉଁ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟ କରୁଅଛ ସେଥିପାଇଁ ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ପ୍ରଶଂସା କରି ପାରେ ନାହିଁ I ଯେତେବେଳେ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ପ୍ରଭୁଭୋଜ ସମୟରେ ଏକତ୍ରିତ ହୋଇଥାଅ, ପରସ୍ପରକୁ ଉତ୍ସାହ ଓ ସାହାଯ୍ୟ କରିବା ପରିବର୍ତ୍ତେ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ମଣ୍ଡଳୀର ସହଭାଗିତାକୁ ଅଧିକ ଖରାପ କରୁଅଛ I BSB BSB: In the following instructions I have no praise to offer, because your gatherings do more harm than good.
18 UDB ପ୍ରଥମ ବିଷୟ ଏହା ଯେ, ମଣ୍ଡଳୀ ସ୍ୱରୂପେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ସମାଗମ ସମୟରେ, ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଦଳଭେଦ ହୋଇ ଆସିଥାଅ I ଲୋକମାନେ ମୋତେ ଏହା କହିଅଛନ୍ତି, ଆଉ ମୁଁ କେତେ ପରିମାଣରେ ଏହା ବିଶ୍ୱାସ କରୁଅଛି I BSB BSB: First of all, I hear that when you come together as a church, there are divisions among you, and in part I believe it.
19 UDB ଯେପରି ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ପରୀକ୍ଷାସିଦ୍ଧ ଲୋକମାନେ ପ୍ରକାଶିତ ହୁଅନ୍ତି, ଏଥିପାଇଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ତ ଦଳଭେଦ ନିଶ୍ଚୟ ଘଟିବ I BSB BSB: And indeed, there must be differences among you to show which of you are approved.
20 UDB ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ସମାଗମ ହେବା ସମୟରେ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ପ୍ରଭୁଭୋଜ ପାଳନ କରି ନ ଥାଅ I BSB BSB: Now then, when you come together, it is not the Lord’s Supper you eat.
21 UDB ଯେତେବେଳେ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଭୋଜନ କର, ଜଣେ ବ୍ୟକ୍ତି ଆସ ସମସ୍ତ ଖାଦ୍ୟ ଆଣି ନିଜେ ଭୋଜନ କରେ; ସେ କାହାର ଅପେକ୍ଷା କରେ ନାହିଁ I ସେଥିପାଇଁ ଜଣେ କ୍ଷୁଧାରେ ରହେ ଓ ଅନ୍ୟ ଜଣେ ମାତାଲ ହୁଏ I BSB BSB: For as you eat, each of you goes ahead without sharing his meal. While one remains hungry, another gets drunk.
22 UDB ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଏପରି ଆଚରଣ କର ଯେ ସତେ ଯେପରି ଭୋଜନପାନ କରିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ଘର ନାହିଁ! ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ମଣ୍ଡଳୀକୁ ଅସମ୍ମାନ କର, ଏବଂ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ସମାଗମର ଉଦ୍ଦେଶ୍ୟକୁ ତୁଚ୍ଛ କରୁଅଛ I ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଦରିଦ୍ରମାନଙ୍କୁ ଲଜ୍ଜା ଦେଉଅଛ I ଏହା ଉତ୍ତମ ବୋଲି କଦାପି କହିପାରିବି ନାହିଁ I ଏହା ଲଜ୍ଜାଜନକ ଅଟେ I BSB BSB: Don’t you have your own homes in which to eat and drink? Or do you despise the church of God and humiliate those who have nothing? What can I say to you? Shall I praise you for this? No, I will not!
23 UDB କାରଣ ମୁଁ ପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କଠାରୁ ପ୍ରାପ୍ତ ଯେଉଁ ଶିକ୍ଷା ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ପ୍ରଦାନ କରିଅଛି, ତାହା ଏହି, ଶତ୍ରୁ ହସ୍ତରେ ସମର୍ପିତ ହେବା ରାତ୍ରିରେ ପ୍ରଭୁ ଯୀଶୁ ରୋଟୀ ଘେନି, BSB BSB: For I received from the Lord what I also passed on to you: The Lord Jesus, on the night He was betrayed, took bread,
24 UDB ଧନ୍ୟବାଦ ଦେଇ ତାହା ଭାଙ୍ଗି କହିଲେ, "ଏହା ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ନିମନ୍ତେ ମୋହର ଶରୀର; ମୋତେ ସ୍ମରଣ କରିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ଏହା କର I" BSB BSB: and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, “This is My body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of Me.”
25 UDB ସେହିପରି, ଭୋଜନ ଉତ୍ତାରେ ସେ ପାନପାତ୍ର ମଧ୍ୟ ଘେନି କହିଲେ, "ଏହି ପାନପାତ୍ର ମୋହର ରକ୍ତରେ ସ୍ଥାପିତ ନୂତନ ନିୟମ; ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଯେତେଥର ଏଥିରୁ ପାନ କର, ସେତେଥର ମୋତେ ସ୍ମରଣ କରିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ଏହା କର I" BSB BSB: In the same way, after supper He took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood; do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.”
26 UDB କାରଣ ଯେତେଥର ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଏହି ରୋଟୀ ଭୋଜନ କର ଓ ଏହି ପାନପାତ୍ରରୁ ପାନ କର, ସେତେଥର ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଆଗମନ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ତାହାଙ୍କ ମୃତ୍ୟୁ ପ୍ରଚାର କରୁଅଛ I BSB BSB: For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until He comes.
27 UDB ଯେ କେହି ଏହି ପ୍ରଭୁଭୋଜକୁ ଆସେ ସେ ଈଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କୁ ଗୌରବ ଦେବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ଆସୁ I ଯେ କେହି ଏହି ରୋଟୀ ଭୋଜନ କରେ କିମ୍ବା ଏହି ପାତ୍ରରୁ ପାନ କରେ ସେ ପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କୁ ଗୌରବ ଦେଉ I ଅତଏବ, ଯେ କେହି ଅଯୋଗ୍ୟ ଭାବରେ ପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ଏହି ରୋଟୀ ଭୋଜନ କରେ କିମ୍ବା ଏହି ପାତ୍ରରୁ ପାନ କରେ, ସେ ପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଶରୀରର ଓ ରକ୍ତର ଦାୟୀ ହେବ I BSB BSB: Therefore, whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of sinning against the body and blood of the Lord.
28 UDB କିନ୍ତୁ ପ୍ରଭୁଭୋଜ ଭୋଜନ କରିବା ପୂର୍ବରୁ ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଆପଣାକୁ ପରୀକ୍ଷା କରିବା ଉଚିତ୍ I ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଆପଣାକୁ ପରୀକ୍ଷା କରିବା ପରେ ହିଁ ଏହି ରୋଟୀ ଭୋଜନ କରୁ ଓ ଏହି ପାତ୍ରରୁ ପାନ କରୁ I BSB BSB: Each one must examine himself before he eats of the bread and drinks of the cup.
29 UDB କାରଣ ଯେ ପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଶରୀରକୁ ବିଶେଷ ନ ଜାଣି ଭୋଜନ କରେ ଓ ପାନ କରେ, ସେ ଆପଣା ଦଣ୍ଡ ନିମନ୍ତେ ଭୋଜନ କରେ ଓ ପାନ କରେ I BSB BSB: For anyone who eats and drinks without recognizing the body eats and drinks judgment on himself.
30 UDB ଯେଉଁ ପ୍ରକାରେ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଶରୀରକୁ ବ୍ୟବହାର କରୁଅଛ, ଏହି ହେତୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଅନେକେ ଦୁର୍ବଳ ଓ ପୀଡ଼ିତ, ପୁଣି, ଅନେକେ ମହାନିଦ୍ରାପ୍ରାପ୍ତ ଅଟନ୍ତି I BSB BSB: That is why many among you are weak and sick, and a number of you have fallen asleep.
31 UDB କିନ୍ତୁ ଯଦି ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଆପଣା ଆପଣାର ବିଚାର କରୁ, ତେବେ ଈଶ୍ୱର ଅମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ବିଚାର କରିବେ ନାହିଁ I BSB BSB: Now if we judged ourselves properly, we would not come under judgment.
32 UDB କିନ୍ତୁ ଯେତେବେଳେ ପ୍ରଭୁ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ବିଚାର କରି ଦଣ୍ଡ ଦିଅନ୍ତି, ସେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଅନୁଶାସନ ଓ ସଂଶୋଧନ କରନ୍ତି, ଯେପରି ସେ ଆମ୍ଭେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଈଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧାଚରଣ କରୁଥିବା ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ସହିତ ଦଣ୍ଡ ନ ଦିଅନ୍ତି I BSB BSB: But when we are judged by the Lord, we are being disciplined so that we will not be condemned with the world.
33 UDB ଅତଏବ, ହେ ମୋହର ଭାଇମାନେ, ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ପ୍ରଭୁଭୋଜ ଭୋଜନ କରିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ସମବେତ ହେବା ସମୟରେ ପରସ୍ପର ପାଇଁ ଅପେକ୍ଷା କର I BSB BSB: So, my brothers, when you come together to eat, wait for one another.
34 UDB ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ସମାଗମ ଯେପରି ଦଣ୍ଡ ନିମନ୍ତେ ନ ହୁଏ, ଏଥିପାଇଁ ଯଦି କେହି କ୍ଷୁଧିତ, ତେବେ ସେ ଘରେ ଭୋଜନ କରୁ, "ଅବଶିଷ୍ଟ ସମସ୍ତ ବିଷୟ ମୁଁ ଗଲେ ବୁଝିବି I" BSB BSB: If anyone is hungry, he should eat at home, so that when you come together it will not result in judgment. And when I come, I will give instructions about the remaining matters.
