2 UDB ଯେତେବେଳେ ମୁଁ ତୁମକୁ ଯୀଶୁ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟଙ୍କ ବିଷୟରେ କହିଲି ତୁମେ ଜଣେ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟ ବିଶ୍ୱାସୀ ହେଲ, ଆଉ ତୁମେ ମୋର ପ୍ରଭୁରେ ପ୍ରକୃତ ସନ୍ତାନ ଅଟ। ପିତା ଈଶ୍ୱର ଓ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରଭୁ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କଠାରୁ ଅନୁଗ୍ରହ, ଦୟା ଓ ଶାନ୍ତି ତୁମ୍ଭ ପ୍ରତି ହେଉ। BSB BSB: To Timothy, my true child in the faith: Grace, mercy, and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord.
3 UDB ଯେତେବେଳେ ମୁଁ ମାକିଦନିଆକୁ ଯିବା ସମୟରେ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଯେପ୍ରକାର ଅନୁରୋଧ କରିଥିଲି, ସେହିପରି ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଏଫିସରେ ରହି କେତେକ ଲୋକ ଯେପରି ଭିନ୍ନ ଶିକ୍ଷା ନ ଦିଅନ୍ତି, BSB BSB: As I urged you on my departure to Macedonia, you should stay on at Ephesus to instruct certain men not to teach false doctrines
4 UDB କି ପୁରାତନ, ଅର୍ଥହୀନ କଳ୍ପିତ ଗଳ୍ପ ଓ ଅଶେଷ ବଂଶାବଳୀ ପ୍ରତି ସମୟ ଓ ମନ ନ ଦିଅନ୍ତି, ଏଥି ନିମନ୍ତେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଆଜ୍ଞା ଦିଅ। ସେହି ସବୁ ତ ବିଶ୍ୱାସ ସମ୍ବନ୍ଧୀୟ ଈଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟର ଉପକାରୀ ନ ହୋଇ ବରଂ ଯୁକ୍ତିତର୍କ ସୃଷ୍ଟି କରେ, କିନ୍ତୁ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ମୁକ୍ତି ନିମନ୍ତେ ଈଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ଯୋଜନା ଜାଣିବାକୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ସାହାଯ୍ୟ କରେ ନାହିଁ- ଗୋଟିଏ ଯୋଜନା ଯାହା ଆମ୍ଭେମାନଙ୍କ ବିଶ୍ୱାସ ଦ୍ୱାରା ସଫଳ ହୁଏ। BSB BSB: or devote themselves to myths and endless genealogies, which promote speculation rather than the stewardship of God’s work, which is by faith.
5 UDB ଏହାଛଡା, ଯାହା ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଶିକ୍ଷାଦେବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ଆଦେଶ ଦେବାର ଉଦ୍ଦେଶ୍ୟ ହେଉଛି ଏକ ଶୁଦ୍ଧ ହୃଦୟ, ଶୁଚି ବିବେକ ଓ ନିଷ୍କପଟ ବିଶ୍ଵାସରୁ ଜାତ ଈଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ପ୍ରେମ। BSB BSB: The goal of our instruction is the love that comes from a pure heart, a clear conscience, and a sincere faith.
6 UDB କେହି କେହି ଏସମସ୍ତ ବିଷୟ ପ୍ରତି ଲକ୍ଷ୍ୟ ନ କରି ଅସାର କଥାରେ ଆସକ୍ତ ହୋଇ ପଥଭ୍ରଷ୍ଟ ହୋଇଅଛନ୍ତି। BSB BSB: Some have strayed from these ways and turned aside to empty talk.
7 UDB ସେମାନେ ମୋଶାଙ୍କ ବ୍ୟବସ୍ଥାର ଶିକ୍ଷକ ହେବାକୁ ଇଚ୍ଛା କରନ୍ତି, ମାତ୍ର ସେମାନେ ତାହା ନିଜେ ବୁଝନ୍ତି ନାହିଁ। ତଥାପି ସେମାନେ ଦାବି କରନ୍ତି ଯେ ସେମାନେ ଯେଉଁ ବିଷୟରେ ଶିକ୍ଷା ଦିଅନ୍ତି ତାହା ସତ୍ୟ ଅଟେ। BSB BSB: They want to be teachers of the law, but they do not understand what they are saying or that which they so confidently assert.
8 UDB କିନ୍ତୁ ଆମେ ଜାଣୁ ଯେ ମୋଶାଙ୍କ ବ୍ୟବସ୍ଥା ଉତ୍ତମ ଅଟେ ଯଦି ଆମେ ବିହିତ ମତେ ଏହାର ବ୍ୟବହାର କରୁ। BSB BSB: Now we know that the law is good, if one uses it legitimately.
9 UDB ଆମ୍ଭେ ଜାଣୁ ଯେ ବ୍ୟବସ୍ଥା ଧାର୍ମିକ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ନିମନ୍ତେ ନିରୂପିତ ନ ହୋଇ ସ୍ୱେଚ୍ଛାଚାରୀ ଓ ଅବାଧ୍ୟ, ଅଧାର୍ମିକ ଓ ପାପୀ, ଅଶୁଚି ଓ ଧର୍ମଦ୍ୱେଷୀ, ପିତୃହନ୍ତା ଓ ମାତୃହନ୍ତା, ନରହନ୍ତା। BSB BSB: We realize that law is not enacted for the righteous, but for the lawless and rebellious, for the ungodly and sinful, for the unholy and profane, for killers of father or mother, for murderers,
11 UDB ଏହା ତ ମୋ’ ନିକଟରେ ସମର୍ପିତ ଆମର ପ୍ରଶଂସନୀୟ ଈଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ଗୌରବମୟ ସୁସମାଚାରର ଶିକ୍ଷା ଅନୁଯାୟୀ ଅଟେ, ପୁଣି ତାହା ସେ ଅନ୍ୟମାନଙ୍କ ନିକଟରେ ଘୋଷଣା କରିବାକୁ ମୋତେ ଭରସା କରନ୍ତି। BSB BSB: that agrees with the glorious gospel of the blessed God, with which I have been entrusted.
12 UDB ପ୍ରଭୁ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କୁ ମୁଁ ଧନ୍ୟବାଦ ଦେଉଅଛି, କାରଣ ସେ ମୋତେ ବିଶ୍ୱସ୍ତ ମନେ କରି ସେବକ ପଦରେ ନିଯୁକ୍ତ କରିଅଛନ୍ତି। ସେ ମଧ୍ୟ ସେବା କରିବାକୁ ମୋ’ ଉପରେ ତାଙ୍କୁ ଭରସା ରଖନ୍ତି। BSB BSB: I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has strengthened me, that He considered me faithful and appointed me to service.
13 UDB ଯଦ୍ୟପି ମୁଁ ପୂର୍ବେ ବିଶ୍ୱାସୀମାନଙ୍କର ନିନ୍ଦକ, ତାଡ଼ନାକାରୀ ଓ ଅତ୍ୟାଚାରୀ ଥିଲି। ମୁଁ ହିଂସାର କାର୍ଯ୍ୟଗୁଡିକ କଲି, କିନ୍ତୁ ମୁଁ ଅବିଶ୍ୱାସ ହେତୁ ଅଜ୍ଞାନ ପଣରେ ତାହା କରୁଥିଲି ବୋଲି ଈଶ୍ୱର ମୋତେ ଦୟା କଲେ। BSB BSB: I was formerly a blasphemer, a persecutor, and a violent man; yet because I had acted in ignorance and unbelief, I was shown mercy.
14 UDB ଈଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ମହାନ ଦୟା ମୋ' ପ୍ରତି ହେଲା, ସେ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କଠାରେ ବିଶ୍ୱାସ ଓ ପ୍ରେମ କରିବା ପାଇଁ ସକ୍ଷମ କଲେ କାରଣ ସେ ମୋତେ ତାଙ୍କ ସହିତ ମିଳିତ କଲେ। BSB BSB: And the grace of our Lord overflowed to me, along with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus.
15 UDB ପ୍ରତ୍ୟେକେ ଏହି ଘଟଣାଟିକୁ ଗ୍ରହଣ କରିବା ଉଚିତ, କାରଣ ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଏହା ଉପରେ ସମ୍ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣରୂପେ ଗଣନା କରିପାରିବା: ଯୀଶୁ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟ ପାପୀମାନଙ୍କୁ ପରିତ୍ରାଣ କରିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ଜଗତକୁ ଆସିଲେ। ଏହା ଗ୍ରହଣ ଯୋଗ୍ୟ ଯେ ସେହି ସମସ୍ତ ପାପୀମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ମୁଁ ପ୍ରଧାନ। BSB BSB: This is a trustworthy saying, worthy of full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am the worst.
16 UDB ତଥାପି ପ୍ରଧାନ ପାପୀ ଯେ ମୁଁ, ଏଥି ନିମନ୍ତେ ଈଶ୍ୱର ମୋ' ପ୍ରତି ଅନ୍ୟମାନଙ୍କ ସମ୍ମୁଖରେ ଦୟା ପ୍ରାପ୍ତ ହେଲି, ତେଣୁ ମୋ'ଠାରେ ସେ ଯେପରି ଆପଣା ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ଚିରସହିଷ୍ଣୁତା ପ୍ରକାଶ କରନ୍ତି। ଯେଉଁମାନେ ତା'ଙ୍କଠାରେ ଭବିଷ୍ୟତ କାଳରେ ଅନନ୍ତ ଜୀବନ ପାଇବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ବିଶ୍ୱାସ କରିବେ, ଈଶ୍ୱର ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଚିରସହିଷ୍ଣୁତା ସହ ଅପେକ୍ଷା କରୁଛନ୍ତି। BSB BSB: But for this very reason I was shown mercy, so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display His perfect patience as an example to those who would believe in Him for eternal life.
17 UDB ଅନନ୍ତକାଳୀନ ରାଜା ଅଦୃଶ୍ୟ, ଏବଂ ସେ ଅକ୍ଷୟ। ସେ ଅଦ୍ୱିତୀୟ ଈଶ୍ୱର ଅଟନ୍ତି। ଏହା ହିଁ ଅଟନ୍ତି ଯାହାଙ୍କୁ ପ୍ରତ୍ୟେକେ ଯୁଗେ ଯୁଗେ ସମ୍ଭ୍ରମ ଓ ଗୌରବ କରିବେ। ଆମେନ୍। BSB BSB: Now to the King eternal, immortal, and invisible, the only God, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.
18 UDB ହେ ବତ୍ସ ତୀମଥି, ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଆଜ୍ଞା ଦିଏ: ତୁମ୍ଭ ବିଷୟରେ ପୂର୍ବେ କିଛି ବିଶ୍ୱାସୀ ଯେଉଁ ସମସ୍ତ ଭାବବାଣୀ କହିଲେ, ତାହା ସ୍ମରଣ କର। ପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ନିମନ୍ତେ କଠିନ ପରିଶ୍ରମ କରୁଥିବାରୁ ଯେପରି ସେ ବିଷୟଗୁଡିକ ଅନୁକରଣ କର। BSB BSB: Timothy, my child, I entrust you with this command in keeping with the previous prophecies about you, so that by them you may fight the good fight,
19 UDB ଈଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କୁ ବିଶ୍ୱାସ କର ଓ ଶୁଚି ବିବେକ ଧରି ରଖ। କିଛି ଲୋକ ସେମାନଙ୍କର ନିଜ ଶୁଚି ବିବେକରେ ଆଉଜି ପଡନ୍ତି ନାହିଁ। BSB BSB: holding on to faith and a good conscience, which some have rejected and thereby shipwrecked their faith.
20 UDB ସେମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ହୁମନାୟ ଓ ଆଲେକ୍ଜାଣ୍ଡର ଦୁଇ ଜଣ ଏକାପରି। ଏଥିପାଇଁ ମୁଁ ଏମାନଙ୍କୁ ଶୟତାନ ହାତରେ ସମର୍ପଣ କଲି, ଯେପରି ସେମାନେ ଶାସନ ପାଇ ଈଶ୍ୱର ନିନ୍ଦା ନ କରନ୍ତି। BSB BSB: Among them are Hymenaeus and Alexander, whom I have handed over to Satan to be taught not to blaspheme.
