1. 1UDBପ୍ରିୟ ଥିୟଫିଲ, ମୋର ପ୍ରଥମ ପୁସ୍ତକରେ ଯାହା ମୁଁ ତୁମକୁ ଲେଖିଥିଲି ତାହା ଯୀଶୁଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟ ସ୍ୱର୍ଗକୁ ନୀତ ହେବା ପୂର୍ବରୁ ଯେଉଁ ସମସ୍ତ ବିଷୟ ସେ ଶିକ୍ଷା ଦେଇଥିଲେ ଓ କରିଥିଲେ IBSBBSB: In my first book, O Theophilus, I wrote about all that Jesus began to do and to teach,
2. 2UDBଯୀଶୁ ସ୍ୱର୍ଗକୁ ଯିବା ପୂର୍ବରୁ, ପ୍ରେରିତମାନଙ୍କୁ ପବିତ୍ର ଆତ୍ମାଙ୍କ ସାହାଯ୍ୟରେ ସମସ୍ତ ସେ ଯାହା ଚାହୁଁଥିଲେ ସେ ବିଷୟ ଜାଣିବା ପାଇଁ କହିଥିଲେ IBSBBSB: until the day He was taken up to heaven, after giving instructions through the Holy Spirit to the apostles He had chosen.
3. 3UDBସେ କୃଶରେ ଯନ୍ତ୍ରଣା ସହି ମୃତ୍ୟୁଭୋଗ କରି ଜୀବିତ ହେଲେ I ସେ ବାରମ୍ବାର ଚାଳିଶ ଦିନ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଦର୍ଶନ ଦେଲେ, ଓ ଶିଷ୍ୟମାନେ ଅନେକ ଥର ତାଙ୍କୁ ଦେଖିଲେ I ସେ ପୁନଃଜୀବିତ ଅଟନ୍ତି ବୋଲି ଅନେକ ପ୍ରମାଣ ଦେଲେ I ଈଶ୍ୱର ତାଙ୍କ ରାଜ୍ୟରେ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ କିପରି ରାଜତ୍ୱ କରିବେ ସେ ବିଷୟରେ ତାଙ୍କ ଶିଷ୍ୟମାନଙ୍କ ସହିତ କଥାବାର୍ତ୍ତା କଲେ IBSBBSB: After His suffering, He presented Himself to them with many convincing proofs that He was alive. He appeared to them over a span of forty days and spoke about the kingdom of God.
4. 4UDBଥରେ ସେ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ସହିତ ଥିବା ସମୟରେ କହିଲେ ଯେ, "ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଯିରୂଶାଲମ ପରିତ୍ୟାଗ କର ନାହିଁ I ମାତ୍ର ଯେପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ମୋର ପିତା ପବିତ୍ର ଆତ୍ମାଙ୍କୁ ତାଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତିଜ୍ଞା ଅନୁସାରେ ତୁମ ନିକଟକୁ ପ୍ରେରଣ କରି ନାହାନ୍ତି ସେ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଅପେକ୍ଷା କର I ଏ ସମନ୍ଧରେ ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଆଗରୁ କହିଅଛି IBSBBSB: And while they were gathered together, He commanded them: “Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait for the gift the Father promised, which you have heard Me discuss.
5. 5UDBଯୋହନ ଜଳରେ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ବାପ୍ତିସ୍ମ ଦେଲେ, ମାତ୍ର କିଛି ଦିନ ପରେ ଈଶ୍ୱର ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ପବିତ୍ର ଆତ୍ମାରେ ବାପ୍ତିସ୍ମ ଦେବେ IBSBBSB: For John baptized with water, but in a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.”
6. 6UDBଦିନେ ଶିଷ୍ୟମାନେ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କୁ ଏକତ୍ର ହୋଇ ସାକ୍ଷାତ କରି ପଚାରିଲେ, "ପ୍ରଭୁ, ଆପଣ କ’ଣ ଏହି ସମୟରେ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ଉପରେ ରାଜତ୍ୱ କରିବେ?"BSBBSB: So when they came together, they asked Him, “Lord, will You at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?”
7. 7UDBସେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଉତ୍ତର ଦେଲେ, "ସେହି କାଳ ଓ ସମୟ ଜାଣିବା ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ଆବଶ୍ୟକ ନୁହେଁ I ତାହା କେବେ ଘଟିବ କେବଳ ମୋର ପିତା ନିର୍ଣ୍ଣୟ କରିସାରିଛନ୍ତି IBSBBSB: Jesus replied, “It is not for you to know times or seasons that the Father has fixed by His own authority.
8. 8UDBକିନ୍ତୁ ପବିତ୍ର ଆତ୍ମା ଯେତେବେଳେ ଆସିବେ ସେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଶକ୍ତିଯୁକ୍ତ କରିବେ I ତହିଁ ଉତ୍ତାରେ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ମୋ’ ବିଷୟରେ ସମସ୍ତ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ଯିରୂଶାଲମରେ, ସମସ୍ତ ଯିହୁଦା ପ୍ରଦେଶରେ, ଶମିରୋଣରେ, ଓ ସମଗ୍ର ଜଗତରେ କହିବ IBSBBSB: But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you, and you will be My witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
9. 9UDBଏହା କହିଲା ପରେ ସେ ସ୍ୱର୍ଗକୁ ଗଲେ, ଓ ଗୋଟିଏ ମେଘ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଆଚ୍ଛାଦିତ କଲା ଆଉ ସେମାନେ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କୁ ଦେଖି ପାରିଲେ ନାହିଁ IBSBBSB: After He had said this, they watched as He was taken up, and a cloud hid Him from their sight.
10. 10UDBଯୀଶୁ ସ୍ୱର୍ଗକୁ ନୀତ ହେବା ବେଳେ ଶିଷ୍ୟମାନେ ଆକାଶକୁ ଅନାଇ ରହିଲେ ଆଉ ହଠାତ୍ ଧଳା ଲୁଗା ପିନ୍ଧିଥିବା ଦୁଇଜଣ ପୁରୁଷ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ପାଖରେ ଛିଡା ହେଲେ ଓ ସେମାନେ ଦୂତ ଥିଲେ IBSBBSB: They were looking intently into the sky as He was going, when suddenly two men dressed in white stood beside them.
11. 11UDBସେମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ଜଣେ କହିଲେ, "ହେ ଗାଲିଲୀୟ ଲୋକମାନେ ଆକାଶକୁ ଚାହିଁ ରୁହ ନାହିଁ! ଦିନେ ଏହି ଯୀଶୁ ଯାହାଙ୍କୁ ଈଶ୍ୱର ସ୍ୱର୍ଗକୁ ନେଲେ ପୁଣି ଆସିବେ I ଯେପରି ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ତାଙ୍କୁ ସ୍ୱର୍ଗକୁ ଯିବାର ଦେଖିଲ ସେପରି ସେ ଆସିବେ I"BSBBSB: “Men of Galilee,” they said, “why do you stand here looking into the sky? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen Him go into heaven.”
12. 12UDBଏହା ପରେ ଦୁଇ ଦୂତ ଫେରି ଗଲେ ଓ ଶିଷ୍ୟମାନେ ମଧ୍ୟ ଜୀତ ପର୍ବତରୁ ଯିରୂଶାଲମକୁ ଫେରିଗଲେ ଯାହା ଅଳ୍ପ ବାଟ ଥିଲା IBSBBSB: Then they returned to Jerusalem from the Mount of Olives, which is near the city, a Sabbath day’s journey away.
13. 13UDBନଗରରେ ପ୍ରବେଶ କଲା ପରେ ଯେଉଁ ଘରେ ରହୁଥିଲେ ସେହି ଗୃହର ଉପର କୋଠରୀକୁ ଗଲେ I ସେମାନଙ୍କ ନାମ ଏ ପ୍ରକାରର-ପିତର, ଯୋହନ, ଯାକୁବ, ଆନ୍ଦ୍ରିୟ, ଫିଲିପ୍ପ, ଥୋମା, ବର୍ଥଲମୀ, ମାଥିଉ, ଆଲଫିଙ୍କ ପୁତ୍ର ଯାକୁବ, 'ଉଦଯୋଗୀ' ଶିମୋନ ଓ ଯାକୁବଙ୍କ ପୁତ୍ର ଯିହୁଦା IBSBBSB: When they arrived, they went to the upper room where they were staying: Peter and John, James and Andrew, Philip and Thomas, Bartholomew and Matthew, James son of Alphaeus, Simon the Zealot, and Judas son of James.
14. 14UDBଏ ସମସ୍ତ ପ୍ରେରିତ ମିଳିତ ଭାବେ ନିରନ୍ତର ପ୍ରାର୍ଥନା ଆରମ୍ଭ କଲେ I ଅନ୍ୟମାନେ ମଧ୍ୟ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ସହିତ ପ୍ରାର୍ଥନାରେ ଥିଲେ ସେମାନେ ହେଲେ ମରିୟମ, ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କ ମାତା ଓ ତାଙ୍କ ଭାଇମାନେ IBSBBSB: With one accord they all continued in prayer, along with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with His brothers.
15. 15UDBସେହି ଦିନମାନଙ୍କରେ ପିତର ଅନ୍ୟ ସହ ବିଶ୍ୱାସୀମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ଜଣେ ଠିଆ ହେଲେ I ସେଠାରେ ୧୨୦ ଜଣ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କର ଅନୁଗମନକାରୀ ଥିଲେ IBSBBSB: In those days Peter stood up among the brothers (a gathering of about a hundred and twenty) and said,
16. 16UDBସେ କହିଲେ," ଭାଇମାନେ ଯିହୁଦାଙ୍କ ବିଷୟରେ ଅନେକ ବର୍ଷ ପୂର୍ବେ ଦାଉଦ ଲେଖି ଥିଲେ I ତାହା ସତ୍ୟ ଏବଂ ସଫଳ ହେବାକୁ ଥିଲା, କାରଣ ଏହା ପବିତ୍ର ଆତ୍ମାଙ୍କ ଦ୍ୱାରା ଦାଉଦ ଲେଖିଥିଲେ IBSBBSB: “Brothers, the Scripture had to be fulfilled that the Holy Spirit foretold through the mouth of David concerning Judas, who became a guide for those who arrested Jesus.
17. 17UDBଯଦିଓ ଯିହୁଦା ଆମ ପରି ଜଣେ ପ୍ରେରିତ ଥିଲେ, ସେ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କୁ ଯେଉଁମାନେ ବନ୍ଦୀ ଓ ହତ୍ୟା କଲେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ସାହାଯ୍ୟ କଲେ I"BSBBSB: He was one of our number and shared in this ministry.”
18. 18UDBତେବେ ଏହି ମନ୍ଦ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟ କରିବା ଦ୍ୱାରା ଯିହୁଦା ଅର୍ଥ ପାଇଲେ ଓ ସେହି ଅର୍ଥରେ ସେ ଖଣ୍ଡେ ଜମି କିଣିଲେ I ପରେ ସେ ଭୂମିରେ ପଡ଼ିବା ପରେ ତାଙ୍କ ଶରୀର ଦୁଇ ଭାଗ ହେଲା ଓ ତାଙ୍କ ଅନ୍ତବୁଜୁଳା ବାହାରି ଗଲା IBSBBSB: (Now with the reward for his wickedness Judas bought a field; there he fell headlong and burst open in the middle, and all his intestines spilled out.
19. 19UDBଆଉ, ଏହା ଯିରୁଶାଲମରେ ବାସ କରୁଥିବା ଲୋକମାନେ ଶୁଣିଲେ ତେଣୁ ସେମାନେ ସେହି ଜମିକୁ ଅରାମିକ୍ ଭାଷାରେ 'ହକଲଦମା' ନାମ ଦେଲେ ଯାହାର ଅର୍ଥ ରକ୍ତକ୍ଷେତ୍ର, କାରଣ ଏହି ସ୍ଥାନରେ ଜଣେ ମୃତ୍ୟୁ ବରଣ କରିଥିଲେ IBSBBSB: This became known to all who lived in Jerusalem, so they called that field in their own language Akeldama, that is, Field of Blood.)
20. 20UDBପିତର ମଧ୍ୟ କହିଲେ, "ଗୀତସଂହିତIରେ ଯେପରି ଯିହୁଦାଙ୍କ ବିଷୟରେ ଲେଖାଅଛି ସେପରି ଘଟିଲା, ତାହାର ବାସସ୍ଥାନ ଶୂନ୍ୟ ହେଉ, ସେଠାରେ କେହି ବାସ ନ କରୁ I ଅନ୍ୟ ଶବ୍ଦରେ ଦାଉଦ ମଧ୍ୟ କହନ୍ତି," ତାହାର ଅଧ୍ୟକ୍ଷପଦ ଅନ୍ୟ ଜଣେ ପାଉ I"BSBBSB: “For it is written in the book of Psalms: ‘May his place be deserted; let there be no one to dwell in it,’ and, ‘May another take his position.’
21. 21UDBତେବେ ପ୍ରେରିତମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ଜଣେ ବ୍ୟକ୍ତିଙ୍କୁ ଯିହୁଦାଙ୍କ ସ୍ଥାନରେ ମନୋନୀତ କରିବା ଆବଶ୍ୟକ ଥିଲା I ଯିଏ ଆମ ସହିତ ସବୁବେଳେ ଯୀଶୁ ଥିବା ସମୟରେ ଥିଲେ IBSBBSB: Therefore it is necessary to choose one of the men who have accompanied us the whole time the Lord Jesus went in and out among us,
22. 22UDBବାପ୍ତିଜକ ଯୋହନ ବାପ୍ତିସ୍ମ ଦେବା ସମୟଠାରୁ ଆରମ୍ଭ କରି ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ନିକଟରୁ ଯୀଶୁ ଉର୍ଦ୍ଦକୁନୀତ ହେବା ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ସେ ଗମନାଗମନ କରୁଥିଲେ I ସେ ପୁନରୁତ୍ଥାନର ସାକ୍ଷୀ ହେବା ଆବଶ୍ୟକ IBSBBSB: beginning from John’s baptism until the day Jesus was taken up from us. For one of these must become a witness with us of His resurrection.”
23. 23UDBତେବେ ପ୍ରେରିତ ଓ ଅନ୍ୟ ବିଶ୍ୱାସୀ ଦୁଇ ଜଣଙ୍କର ନାମ ପ୍ରସ୍ତାବ କଲେ I ଜଣଙ୍କ ନାମ ଯୋଷେଫ ବର୍ଶବ୍‌ବା, ଯାହାକୁ ଯୁସ୍ତ ବୋଲି ଡକାଯାଏ I ଅନ୍ୟ ଜନକ ନାମ ମଥିୟ IBSBBSB: So they proposed two men: Joseph called Barsabbas (also known as Justus) and Matthias.
24. 24UDBପୁଣି ସେମାନେ ପ୍ରାର୍ଥନା କଲେ," ପ୍ରଭୁ ଯୀଶୁ, ଯିହୁଦା ପାପ କରି ପ୍ରେରିତ ପଦରୁ ପତିତ ହୋଇଅଛି, ସେହି ପଦକୁ ଗ୍ରହଣ କିରବା ପାଇଁ ଏହି ଦୁଇ ଜଣଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ତୁମ୍ଭେ କାହାକୁ ମନୋନୀତ କରିଅଛ ତାହା ଦେଖାଇଦିଅ IBSBBSB: And they prayed, “Lord, You know everyone’s heart. Show us which of these two You have chosen
25. 25UDBଆଉ, ସେମାନେ ସେହି ଦୁଇ ଜଣଙ୍କ ନିମନ୍ତେ ଗୁଲିବାଣ୍ଟ କଲେ, ପୁଣି ମଥିୟଙ୍କ ନାମରେ ଗୁଲି ଉଠିଲା; ସେଥିରେ ସେ ଏକାଦଶ ପ୍ରେରିତଙ୍କ ସହିତ ଗଣିତ ହେଲେ IBSBBSB: to take up this ministry and apostleship, which Judas abandoned to go to his rightful place.”
26. 26UDBତା'ପରେ ପ୍ ରରେିତମାନେ ଏହି ଦୁହିଁଙ୍କ ନାମ ରେ ଗୁଳା ପକାଇଲେ। କାଗଜ ରେ ଲଖାେଥିବା ଗୁଳା ମଥିୟଙ୍କ ନାମ ରେ ଉଠିଲା। ଏହିପରି ସେ ଅନ୍ୟ ଏଗାର ଜଣ ପ୍ ରରେିତଙ୍କ ସହିତ ଜଣେ ପ୍ ରରେିତ ହିସାବ ରେ ଗଣିତ ହେଲେ।BSBBSB: Then they cast lots, and the lot fell to Matthias. So he was added to the eleven apostles.
