1 UDB ମହାଯାଜକ ହନାନୀୟ ପାଞ୍ଚଦିନ ପରେ କେତେକ ଯିହୁଦୀୟ ନେତା ଓ ତର୍ତ୍ତୁଲ୍ଲ ନାମକ ଜଣେ ଓକିଲଙ୍କୁ ନେଇ କାଇସରୀଆରେ ପହଞ୍ଚିଲେ। ସେଠାରେ ସେମାନେ ରାଜ୍ୟପାଳଙ୍କ ସାମନାରେ ପାଉଲଙ୍କ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ଅଭିଯୋଗ କଲେ। BSB BSB: Five days later the high priest Ananias came down with some elders and a lawyer named Tertullus, who presented to the governor their case against Paul.

6 UDB ଏପରିକି ସେ ମନ୍ଦିରକୁ ଅପବିତ୍ର କରିବା ପାଇଁ ମଧ୍ୟ ଚେ଼ଷ୍ଟା କରୁଥିଲା ତେଣୁ ଆମେ ତାକୁ ବନ୍ଦୀ କଲୁ I BSB BSB: and he even tried to desecrate the temple; so we seized him.

9 UDB ତା'ପରେ ସମସ୍ତ ଯିହୁଦୀୟ ନେତା ରାଜ୍ୟପାଳଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ ଯେ ଯାହା ତର୍ତ୍ତୁଲ୍ଲ ଅଭିଯୋଗ କଲେ ତାହା ସତ୍ୟ। BSB BSB: The Jews concurred, asserting that these charges were true.

15 UDB ଏହି ବ୍ୟକ୍ତିମାନଙ୍କ ଭଳି, ମୁଁ ମଧ୍ୟ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କଠାରେ ଏହି ଭରସା ରଖିଛି ଯେ, ଉଭୟ ଉତ୍ତମ ଓ ଦୁଷ୍ଟ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କର ମୃତ୍ୟୁରୁ ପୁନରୁତ୍ଥାନ ହେବ। BSB BSB: and I have the same hope in God that they themselves cherish, that there will be a resurrection of both the righteous and the wicked.
16 UDB କାରଣ ମୁଁ ବିଶ୍ୱାସ କରେ ସେହି ଦିନ ଆସିବ ମୁଁ ସର୍ବଦା ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ଦୃଷ୍ଟିରେ ଯାହା ସନ୍ତୋଷ ଓ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ଦୃଷ୍ଟିରେ ଯାହା ଉଚିତ ବୋଲି ଭାବନ୍ତି ତାହାହିଁ ମୁଁ କରେ I BSB BSB: In this hope, I strive always to maintain a clear conscience before God and man.
17 UDB ମୁଁ ବହୁତ ବର୍ଷ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଯିରୂଶାଲମରୁ ଦୂରରେ ଥିଲି। ତା'ପରେ ମୋ’ ଦରିଦ୍ର ଯିହୁଦୀମାନଙ୍କୁ ଅର୍ଥ ସାହାଯ୍ୟ ଦେବା ପାଇଁ ଓ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ପାଖରେ ଦାନ ଉତ୍ସର୍ଗ କରିବା ପାଇଁ ଯିରୂଶାଲମକୁ ଫେରିଲି। BSB BSB: After several years, then, I returned to Jerusalem to bring alms to my people and to present offerings.
18 UDB ମୁଁ ମନ୍ଦିରରେ ନିଜକୁ ଶୁଚି କରିବାକୁ ଯାଇଥିଲି। ଶୁଚିକରଣ ଉତ୍ସବ ସରିଗଲା ପରେ କେତେକ ଏସିଆସ୍ଥିତ ଯିହୁଦୀମାନେ ସେଠାରେ ମୋତେ ଦେଖିଲେ ମୁଁ ସେଠାରେ କୌଣସି ଗଣ୍ଡଗୋଳ ସୃଷ୍ଟି କରି ନାହିଁ କି ମୋ’ ସହିତ କୌଣସି ଲୋକ ମଧ୍ୟ ନ ଥିଲେ। BSB BSB: At the time they found me in the temple, I was ceremonially clean and was not inciting a crowd or an uproar. But there are some Jews from the province of Asia
19 UDB ସେ ସମୟରେ ଏସିଆର କେତେକ ଯିହୁଦୀ ସେଠାରେ ଥିଲେ। ଯଦି ସେମାନଙ୍କର ମୋ’ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ କିଛି ଆପତ୍ତି ଥାଏ ତେବେ ସେମାନେ ଆପଣଙ୍କ ନିକଟରେ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ହେବା ଉଚ଼ିତ୍ I BSB BSB: who ought to appear before you and bring charges, if they have anything against me.
20 UDB ନଚେତ୍ ଆପଣ ଏଠାରେ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ଥିବା ଯିହୁଦୀମାନଙ୍କୁ ପଚ଼ାରନ୍ତୁ, ସେମାନଙ୍କ ପରିଷଦ ସଭାରେ, ସେମାନଙ୍କ ସମ୍ମୁଖରେ ମୁଁ ଯେତେବେଳ ଠିଆ ହେଲି, ସେତେବେଳ ସେମାନେ ମୋ’ଠାରେ କ’ଣ ସବୁ ଦୋଷ ଦେଖିଲେ? BSB BSB: Otherwise, let these men state for themselves any crime they found in me when I stood before the Sanhedrin,
21 UDB ମୁଁ କେବଳ ଗୋଟିଏ କଥା ସେମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଠିଆ ହୋଇ ଜୋର୍ରେ କହିଥିଲି ଯେ, 'ମୃତ୍ୟୁରୁ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କର ପୁନରୁତ୍ଥାନ ହେବ ବୋଲି ବିଶ୍ୱାସ କରୁଥିବାରୁ ମୋର ଆଜି ସଭା ସମ୍ମୁଖରେ ବିଚ଼ାର ହେଉଛି I BSB BSB: unless it was this one thing I called out as I stood in their presence: ‘It is concerning the resurrection of the dead that I am on trial before you today.’”
22 UDB ଫେଲୀକ୍ସ୍ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟଙ୍କର ମାର୍ଗ ବିଷୟରେ ଭଲ ଭାବରେ ଜାଣିଥିବାରୁ ଶୁଣାଣି ସ୍ଥଗିତ ରଖିଲେ। ସେ କହିଲେ," ସେନାଧ୍ୟକ୍ଷ ଲୂସିୟା ଆସିବା ପରେ ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ବିଚ଼ାର କରିବି। BSB BSB: Then Felix, who was well informed about the Way, adjourned the hearing and said, “When Lysias the commander comes, I will decide your case.”
23 UDB ଫେଲିକ୍ସ୍ ଶତ ସେନାପତିଙ୍କ ଜିମାରେ ପାଉଲଙ୍କୁ ରଖିବା ପାଇଁ ଆଦେଶ ଦେଲେ। ସେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ନଜରବନ୍ଦୀରେ ରଖି କିଛି ସ୍ୱାଧୀନତା ଦେବା ପାଇଁ ମଧ୍ୟ ଆଜ୍ଞା ଦେଲେ। ପାଉଲଙ୍କ ବନ୍ଧୁମାନେ ଯଦି ତାହାଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ କୌଣସି ଆବଶ୍ୟକୀୟ ଜିନିଷ ନେଇ ଆସନ୍ତି, ତେବେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ବାଧା ନ ଦେବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ମଧ୍ୟ ସେ ସେହି ଶତ ସେନାପତିଙ୍କୁ ଆଦେଶ ଦେଲେ I BSB BSB: He ordered the centurion to keep Paul under guard, but to allow him some freedom and permit his friends to minister to his needs.
24 UDB କିଛି ଦିନ ପରେ ଫେଲୀକ୍ସ୍ ତାହାଙ୍କ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ ଦ୍ରୁସିଲ୍ଲାଙ୍କୁ ନେଇ ଆସିଲେ। ସେ ଯିହୁଦୀ ଥିଲେ। ଫେଲୀକ୍ସ୍ ପାଉଲଙ୍କୁ ଡ଼କାଇ ତାହାଙ୍କଠାରୁ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କଠାରେ ବିଶ୍ୱାସ ବିଷୟରେ ଶୁଣିଲେ। BSB BSB: After several days, Felix returned with his wife Drusilla, who was a Jewess. He sent for Paul and listened to him speak about faith in Christ Jesus.
25 UDB କିନ୍ତୁ ପାଉଲ ଯେତେବେଳେ ଧାର୍ମିକ ଜୀବନ, ଆତ୍ମସଂଯମ ଓ ଆଗାମୀ ବିଚ଼ାର ବିଷୟରେ କହିଲେ, ସେତେବେଳେ ଫେଲୀକ୍ସ୍ ଭୟଭୀତ ହୋଇଗଲେ। ଫେଲୀକ୍ସ୍ କହିଲେ, "ବର୍ତ୍ତମାନ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଯାଅ। ମୋର ସମୟ ହେଲେ ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଡ଼ାକିବି।" BSB BSB: As Paul expounded on righteousness, self-control, and the coming judgment, Felix became frightened and said, “You may go for now. When I find the time, I will call for you.”
26 UDB କିନ୍ତୁ ଫେଲୀକ୍ସ୍ ପାଉଲଙ୍କ ସହିତ କଥା ହେବାର ଆଉ ଗୋଟିଏ କାରଣ ଥିଲା। ସେ ଆଶା କରିଥିଲେ ଯେ ପାଉଲ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଟଙ୍କା ଲାଞ୍ଚ ଦେବେ। ତେଣୁ ସେ ପାଉଲଙ୍କୁ ଅନେକଥର ଡ଼କାଇ କଥା ହେଉଥିଲେ। BSB BSB: At the same time, he was hoping that Paul would offer him a bribe. So he sent for Paul frequently and talked with him.
27 UDB କିନ୍ତୁ ଏହିପରି ଦୁଇ ବର୍ଷ ବିତିଗଲା ପରେ ପର୍କିୟ ଫେଷ୍ଟ ରାଜ୍ୟପାଳ ହେଲେ। ଫେଲୀକ୍ସ୍ ଆଉ ରାଜ୍ୟପାଳ ପଦରେ ରହିଲେ ନାହିଁ। ତେଣୁ ଫେଲୀକ୍ସ୍ ଯିହୁଦୀୟମାନଙ୍କୁ ସନ୍ତୁଷ୍ଟ କରିବା ପାଇଁ ପାଉଲଙ୍କୁ ବନ୍ଦୀ ଅବସ୍ଥାରେ କାରାଗାରରେ ରଖି ଚ଼ାଲିଗଲେ I BSB BSB: After two years had passed, Felix was succeeded by Porcius Festus. And wishing to do the Jews a favor, Felix left Paul in prison.
