1 UDB ଯିରୁଶାଲମରୁ କେତେକ ଫାରୁଶୀ ଓ ଶାସ୍ତ୍ରଜ୍ଞମାନେ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଆସି ପଚାରିଲେ, BSB BSB: Then some Pharisees and scribes came to Jesus from Jerusalem and asked,
2 UDB ଆପଣଙ୍କ ଶିଷ୍ୟମାନେ କାହିଁକି ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପୂର୍ବପୁରୁଷମାନଙ୍କ ପରମ୍ପରା ବିଧି ସବୁକୁ ଅମାନ୍ୟ କରୁଅଛନ୍ତି? କାରଣ ସେମାନେ ଭୋଜନ କରିବା ପୂର୍ବରୁ ଆମର ପ୍ରଥା ଅନୁସାରେ ହାତ ଧୋଇବା ନୀତିକୁ ମାନୁ ନାହାନ୍ତି! BSB BSB: “Why do Your disciples break the tradition of the elders? They do not wash their hands before they eat.”
3 UDB ଯୀଶୁ ଉତ୍ତର ଦେଲେ, ମୁଁ ମଧ୍ୟ ଦେଖୁ ଅଛି ଯେ, ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ମଧ୍ୟ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପୂର୍ବପୁରୁଷମାନେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଥିବା ଆଜ୍ଞାଗୁଡିକୁ ପାଳନ ନ କରି କାହିଁକି ଈଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ସ୍ପଷ୍ଟ ଆଜ୍ଞାଗୁଡିକୁ ଅମାନ୍ୟ କରୁଅଛ? BSB BSB: Jesus replied, “And why do you break the command of God for the sake of your tradition?
4 UDB ଈଶ୍ୱର ଦୁଇଟି ଆଜ୍ଞା ଦେଇଅଛନ୍ତି, ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପିତା ମାତାଙ୍କୁ ମାନ୍ୟ କର ଏବଂ ଯେ କେହି ଆପଣା ପିତା ମାତାଙ୍କୁ ନିନ୍ଦା କରେ, ସେ ନିଶ୍ଚୟ ମରିବ! BSB BSB: For God said, ‘Honor your father and mother’ and ‘Anyone who curses his father or mother must be put to death.’
5 UDB କିନ୍ତୁ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଥାଅ, ତୁମ୍ଭର ପିତା ମାତା ଅଭାବଗ୍ରସ୍ତ ହେଲେ ହେଁ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ସେମାନଙ୍କର ଭରଣପୋଷଣ ପାଇଁ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଅର୍ଥ ନ ଦେଇ ଈଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ଉଦ୍ଦେଶ୍ୟରେ ତାହା ଦାନ କରି ପାର| BSB BSB: But you say that if anyone says to his father or mother, ‘Whatever you would have received from me is a gift devoted to God,’
6 UDB ଏହାଦ୍ୱାରା ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଭାବି ଥାଅ ଯେ, ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପିତା ମାତାଙ୍କୁ କିଛି ଦେବା ଆବଶ୍ୟକତା ନାହିଁ| ଏହିପରି କରି ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଈଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ଆଦେଶକୁ ଅମାନ୍ୟ କରୁଅଛ ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପୂର୍ବପୁରୁଷମାନଙ୍କ ଦ୍ଵାରା ଉଚିତ ନିୟମ ଦ୍ୱାରା ତାହା ବ୍ୟର୍ଥ କରିଥାଅ| BSB BSB: he need not honor his father or mother with it. Thus you nullify the word of God for the sake of your tradition.
7 UDB ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ କେବଳ ଉତ୍ତମ ବ୍ୟକ୍ତି ହେବାର ବାହାନା ଦେଖାଇ ଥାଅ, ଏଣୁ ଯିଶାଇୟ ଭାବବାଦୀ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପୂର୍ବପୁରୁଷମାନଙ୍କ ସମ୍ବନ୍ଧରେ ଯଥାର୍ଥ ଭବିଷ୍ୟତ ବାଣୀ କରିଥିଲେ| BSB BSB: You hypocrites! Isaiah prophesied correctly about you:
9 UDB ସେମାନଙ୍କର ଉପାସନା ଓ ଆରାଧନା ସମ୍ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ବୃଥା| କାରଣ ସେମାନେ ଈଶ୍ୱର ଦତ୍ତ ନିୟମ ପରିବର୍ତ୍ତେ ମନୁଷ୍ୟ ରଚିତ ନିୟମର ଶିକ୍ଷା ଦେଇଥାନ୍ତି| BSB BSB: They worship Me in vain; they teach as doctrine the precepts of men.’”
10 UDB ତତ୍ପରେ ଯୀଶୁ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ଆପଣାର ନିକଟକୁ ଡ଼ାକି କହିଲେ, ମୋର କଥା ଶୁଣ ଓ ବୁଝିବାକୁ ଚେଷ୍ଟା କର| BSB BSB: Jesus called the crowd to Him and said, “Listen and understand.
11 UDB ଖାଦ୍ୟ ଖାଇବା ଦ୍ଵାରା ଜଣେ ଅପବିତ୍ର ହୁଏ ନାହିଁ, ମାତ୍ର ମନୁଷ୍ୟ ଭିତରକୁ ତାହାର କଥାବାର୍ତ୍ତା ଓ ଚିନ୍ତାଧାରା ହିଁ ତାହାକୁ ଅପବିତ୍ର କରେ| BSB BSB: A man is not defiled by what enters his mouth, but by what comes out of it.”
12 UDB କିଛି ସମୟ ପରେ ଶିଷ୍ୟମାନେ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଆସି କହିଲେ, ଆପଣଙ୍କ ଏହି କଥାରେ ଫାରୁଶୀମାନେ ଯେ ଆପଣଙ୍କ ଉପରେ ବିରକ୍ତି ହୋଇଅଛନ୍ତି, ଏହା କ’ଣ ଜାଣନ୍ତି? BSB BSB: Then the disciples came to Him and said, “Are You aware that the Pharisees were offended when they heard this?”
13 UDB ଏଥିରେ ଯୀଶୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଏକ ଦୃଷ୍ଟାନ୍ତ କହିଲେ, ମୋର ସ୍ଵର୍ଗସ୍ଥ ପିତା ଯେଉଁ ସବୁ ବୃକ୍ଷ ରୋପଣ କରି ନାହାନ୍ତି, ସେସବୁ ବୃକ୍ଷକୁ ଉପାଡ଼ି ଦିଆଯିବ| BSB BSB: But Jesus replied, “Every plant that My heavenly Father has not planted will be pulled up by its roots.
14 UDB ଫାରୁଶୀମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି ଧ୍ୟାନ ଦିଅ ନାହିଁ! କାରଣ ସେମାନେ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ଈଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ପ୍ରକୃତ ଆଜ୍ଞା ବିଷୟରେ ଶିଖାନ୍ତି ନାହିଁ| ଏମାନେ ନିଜେ ଅନ୍ଧ ହୋଇ ଅନ୍ଧ ମାନଙ୍କର ପଥ ପ୍ରଦର୍ଶକ ଅଟନ୍ତି, ଅନ୍ଧ ଯେବେ ଅନ୍ୟ ଅନ୍ଧକୁ ପଥ ଦେଖାଏ, ତେବେ ସେମାନେ ଉଭୟେ ଖାତରେ ପଢ଼ନ୍ତି| BSB BSB: Disregard them! They are blind guides. If a blind man leads a blind man, both will fall into a pit.”
15 UDB ପିତର ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, ନିୟମ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ଖାଦ୍ୟ ଖାଇଲେ, ଲୋକେ ଅପବିତ୍ର ହୁଅନ୍ତି ନାହିଁ, ଏହି କଥାର ଅର୍ଥ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ବୁଝାଇ ଦିଅନ୍ତୁ| BSB BSB: Peter said to Him, “Explain this parable to us.”
16 UDB ଯୀଶୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଉତ୍ତର ଦେଲେ, ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଯେଉଁ ଶିକ୍ଷା ଦେଉଅଛି, ତାହା ଯେ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ବୁଝି ପାରୁ ନାହଁ, ଏଥିରେ ମୁଁ ଚମତ୍କୃତ ଅଟେ| BSB BSB: “Do you still not understand?” Jesus asked.
17 UDB ଯାହା ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଖାଅ, ତାହା ପାକସ୍ଥଳୀରେ ପ୍ରବେଶ କରି ପୁଣି ବାହାରି ଯାଏ, ଏହା କ’ଣ ଜାଣ ନାହିଁ| BSB BSB: “Do you not yet realize that whatever enters the mouth goes into the stomach and then is eliminated?
18 UDB ମାତ୍ର, ମନ୍ଦ କଥା ମନ୍ଦ ହୃଦୟରୁ ବାହାରେ, ଓ ଯେ କହେ, ତାହା ତାହାକୁ ହିଁ ଅପବିତ୍ର କରେ| BSB BSB: But the things that come out of the mouth come from the heart, and these things defile a man.
19 UDB କାରଣ, କୁଚିନ୍ତା, ନରହତ୍ୟା, ବ୍ୟଭିଚାର, ବେଶ୍ୟା ଗମନ, ଚୋରି, ମିଥ୍ୟା କଥା ଓ ପରନିନ୍ଦା ହୃଦୟରୁ ବାହାରେ| BSB BSB: For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, and slander.
20 UDB ଏହିସବୁ ହିଁ ମନୁଷ୍ୟକୁ ଅପବିତ୍ର କରେ, କିନ୍ତୁ ଭୋଜନ ପୂର୍ବରୁ ହାତ ଧୋଇବା ରୀତିନୀତି ପାଳନ ନ କରିବା ଦ୍ଵାରା ଆଧ୍ୟାତ୍ମିକ ଅପବିତ୍ରତା ହୁଏ ନାହିଁ| BSB BSB: These are what defile a man, but eating with unwashed hands does not defile him.”
22 UDB ସେହି ଅଞ୍ଚଳରେ ବାସ କରୁଥିବା ଜଣେ କିଣାନୀୟା ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କ ପାଖକୁ ଆସି ବିନତି ଅନୁରୋଧ କରି କହିଲା, ହେ ପ୍ରଭୁ, ରାଜା ଦାଉଦଙ୍କ ସନ୍ତାନ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ହିଁ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟ ଅଟ| ମୋ’ପ୍ରତି ଓ ମୋର ଝିଅ ପ୍ରତି ଦୟା କରନ୍ତୁ| କାରଣ ମୋର ଝିଅକୁ ଏକ ଭୂତାତ୍ମା ସବୁବେଳେ ଅତ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଯନ୍ତ୍ରଣା ଦେଉଅଛି| BSB BSB: And a Canaanite woman from that region came to Him, crying out, “Lord, Son of David, have mercy on me! My daughter is miserably possessed by a demon.”
25 UDB କିନ୍ତୁ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ’ଲୋକଟି ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କ ଅତି ନିକଟକୁ ଆସି ତାହାଙ୍କ ପାଦ ତଳେ ପଡି ଅନୁରୋଧ କରି କହିଲା, ପ୍ରଭୁ ମୋତେ ଦୟା କରନ୍ତୁ| BSB BSB: The woman came and knelt before Him. “Lord, help me!” she said.
26 UDB ଏଣୁ ସେ ତାହାକୁ କହିଲେ, ପିଲାମାନଙ୍କ ନିକଟରୁ ଖାଦ୍ୟ ନେଇ କୁକୁରମାନଙ୍କୁ ଦେବା ତ ଆଦୌ ଉଚିତ ନୁହେଁ| BSB BSB: But Jesus replied, “It is not right to take the children’s bread and toss it to the dogs.”
27 UDB ମାତ୍ର ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ’ଲୋକଟି ତାଙ୍କୁ ଉତ୍ତର ଦେଲା, ପ୍ରଭୁ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଯାହା ଯାହା କହିଲ, ତାହା ସତ ଅଟେ, କିନ୍ତୁ ମାଲିକ ଆପଣା ମେଜରେ ବସି ଖାଉଥିବା ସମୟରେ ତଳେ ପଡୁଥିବା ଖାଦ୍ୟ ଖଣ୍ଡଗୁଡିକୁ ତ କୁକୁରମାନେ ଖାଆନ୍ତି| BSB BSB: “Yes, Lord,” she said, “even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their master’s table.”
29 UDB ଏହାପରେ ଯୀଶୁ ଆପଣା ଶିଷ୍ୟମାନଙ୍କୁ ନେଇ ଗାଲିଲୀ ହ୍ରଦର ଆର ପାରିକୁ ଫେରି ଗଲେ ଏବଂ ନିକଟସ୍ଥ ଏକ ପାହାଡ଼କୁ ଯାଇ ସେଠାରେ ବସି ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ଶିକ୍ଷା ଦେବାକୁ ଲାଗିଲେ| BSB BSB: Moving on from there, Jesus went along the Sea of Galilee. Then He went up on a mountain and sat down.
30 UDB ଆଉ ଦୁଇ ଦିନ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ବହୁ ସଂଖ୍ୟକ ଲୋକ ଛୋଟା, ଅନ୍ଧ, ପଙ୍ଗୁ, ମୂକ ଓ ବିକଳାଙ୍ଗ ରୋଗୀମାନଙ୍କୁ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଆଣି ତାହାଙ୍କ ସମ୍ମୁଖରେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଶୁଆଇ ଦେଲେ, ତହିଁରେ ଯୀଶୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ସୁସ୍ଥ କଲେ| BSB BSB: Large crowds came to Him, bringing the lame, the blind, the crippled, the mute, and many others, and laid them at His feet, and He healed them.
31 UDB ଯେଉଁମାନେ ପୂର୍ବେ ପଦେ ହେଲେ କଥା କହି ପାରୁ ନ ଥିଲେ, ସେମାନେ କଥା କହିବାକୁ ଲାଗିଲେ, ଏବଂ ଯେଉଁମାନଙ୍କର ହାତ ଓ ପାଦ ଚଳୁ ନ ଥିଲା, ସେମାନ ଚାଲିଲେ ଓ ଯେଉଁମାନେ ଅନ୍ଧ ଥିଲେ, ସେମାନେ ଦୃଷ୍ଟି ପାଇଲେ| ଏହା ଦେଖି ଲୋକମାନେ ଅତି ଆଶ୍ଚର୍ଯ୍ୟ ହେଲେ ଓ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲର ସ୍ଵର୍ଗସ୍ଥ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ସ୍ତୁତିଗାନ କରିବାକୁ ଲାଗିଲେ| BSB BSB: The crowd was amazed when they saw the mute speaking, the crippled restored, the lame walking, and the blind seeing. And they glorified the God of Israel.
32 UDB ଆଉ ଯୀଶୁ ଆପଣା ଶିଷ୍ୟମାନଙ୍କୁ ନିକଟକୁ ଡାକି କହିଲେ, ଏହି ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି ମୋର ଦୟା ଜାତ ହେଉଛି, କାରଣ ଏମାନେ ତିନିଦିନ ହେଲାଣି, ମୋ’ ସହିତ ଏଠାରେ ଅଛନ୍ତି ଏବଂ ଏମାନଙ୍କ ପାଖରେ ଆଉ କିଛି ଖାଦ୍ୟ ନାହିଁ, ଏମାନଙ୍କୁ ଭୋକ ଉପାସରେ ଘରକୁ ବିଦାୟ କରି ଦେବାକୁ ମୋର ଇଚ୍ଛା ହେଉ ନାହିଁ, କାରଣ ଏମାନେ ଘରକୁ ଯାଉ ଯାଉ ହୁଏତ ବାଟରେ ମୂର୍ଚ୍ଛା ଯିବେ| BSB BSB: Then Jesus called His disciples to Him and said, “I have compassion for this crowd, because they have already been with Me three days and have nothing to eat. I do not want to send them away hungry, or they may faint along the way.”
33 UDB ତହିଁରେ ଶିଷ୍ୟମାନେ କହିଲେ, ଏହି ନିର୍ଜନ ସ୍ଥାନରେ ଏତେ ଲୋକଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ ଖାଦ୍ୟ ଯୋଗାଇବା ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ ଅସମ୍ଭବ| BSB BSB: The disciples replied, “Where in this desolate place could we find enough bread to feed such a large crowd?”
34 UDB ଯୀଶୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ପଚାରିଲେ, ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପାଖରେ କେତୋଟି ରୋଟୀ ଅଛି? ସେମାନ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପାଖରେ ସାତୋଟି ରୋଟୀ ଓ ସାନ ସାନ କେତୋଟି ମାଛ ଅଛି| BSB BSB: “How many loaves do you have?” Jesus asked. “Seven,” they replied, “and a few small fish.”
35 UDB ଯୀଶୁ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ଘାସ ଉପରେ ବସିବାକୁ ଆଦେଶ ଦେଲେ, BSB BSB: And He instructed the crowd to sit down on the ground.
36 UDB ଏବଂ ସେହି ସାତୋଟି ରୋଟୀ ଓ ଭଜା ମାଛଗୁଡିକୁ ହାତରେ ଧରି ଈଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କୁ ଧନ୍ୟବାଦ ଦେଇ ସେଗୁଡିକୁ ଖଣ୍ଡ ଖଣ୍ଡ କରି ଶିଷ୍ୟମାନଙ୍କୁ ଦିଅନ୍ତେ, ସେମାନେ ତାହା ନେଇ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ବାଣ୍ଟି ଦେଲେ, BSB BSB: Taking the seven loaves and the fish, He gave thanks and broke them. Then He gave them to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the people.
37 UDB କାରଣ ଯୀଶୁ ସେହି ଖାଦ୍ୟକୁ ନେଇ ଆଶ୍ଚର୍ଯ୍ୟ ଭାବେ ବହୁ ଗୁଣିତ କଲେ, ଆଉ ଲୋକମାନେ ତୃପ୍ତ ହେବା ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ତାହା ଖାଇଲା ପରେ ଶିଷ୍ୟମାନେ ବଳକା ଭଙ୍ଗା ଖଣ୍ଡ ଗୁଡିକୁ ଏକାଠି କରି ସେମାନଙ୍କ ପାଖରେ ଥିବା ବଡ ବଡ ଟୋକେଇରେ ତାହା ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ କଲେ| BSB BSB: They all ate and were satisfied, and the disciples picked up seven basketfuls of broken pieces that were left over.
38 UDB ସେଠାରେ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ ଓ ପିଲାମାନଙ୍କ ବ୍ୟତୀତ ପ୍ରାୟ ଚାରି ହଜାର ପୁରୁଷ ଖାଇଲେ| BSB BSB: A total of four thousand men were fed, besides women and children.
39 UDB ତହିଁରେ ଯୀଶୁ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଘରକୁ ବିଦାୟ କରି ନିଜେ ଶିଷ୍ୟ ମାନଙ୍କ ସହିତ ନୌକାରେ ବସି ମଗ୍ଦାନ ଅଞ୍ଚଳକୁ ଗଲେ| BSB BSB: After Jesus had dismissed the crowds, He got into the boat and went to the region of Magadan.
