2 ULB “ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ତ ଲୋକ, ସନ୍ଦେହ ନାହିଁ, ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ସଙ୍ଗେ ସଙ୍ଗେ ଜ୍ଞାନ ମରିଯିବ। BSB BSB: “Truly then you are the people with whom wisdom itself will die!
3 ULB ମାତ୍ର ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପରି ଆମ୍ଭର ବୁଦ୍ଧି ଅଛି; ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କଠାରୁ ଊଣା ନୁହେଁ; ହଁ, ଏପରି କଥାସବୁ କିଏ ନ ଜାଣେ? BSB BSB: But I also have a mind; I am not inferior to you. Who does not know such things as these?
4 ULB ମୁଁ ମୋହର ବନ୍ଧୁମାନଙ୍କ ନିମନ୍ତେ ହାସ୍ୟାସ୍ପଦ ଲୋକ ତୁଲ୍ୟ ହୋଇଅଛି, ମୁଁ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କୁ ଡାକନ୍ତେ, ସେ ମୋତେ ଉତ୍ତର ଦେଲେ; ଧାର୍ମିକ, ସିଦ୍ଧ ଲୋକ ହାସ୍ୟାସ୍ପଦ ହୋଇଅଛି। BSB BSB: I am a laughingstock to my friends, though I called on God, and He answered. The righteous and upright man is a laughingstock.
5 ULB ସୁଖରେ ଥିବା ଲୋକର ବୋଧରେ ବିପଦ ତୁଚ୍ଛନୀୟ; ଯେଉଁମାନଙ୍କର ପାଦ ଖସିଯାଏ, ସେମାନଙ୍କ ନିମନ୍ତେ ତାହା ପ୍ରସ୍ତୁତ। BSB BSB: The one at ease scorns misfortune as the fate of those whose feet are slipping.
6 ULB ଡକାୟତମାନଙ୍କର ତମ୍ବୁ ନିରାପଦ ହୁଏ ଓ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କୁ ବିରକ୍ତ କରିବା ଲୋକେ ନିର୍ବିଘ୍ନରେ ରହନ୍ତି; ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ସେମାନଙ୍କ ହସ୍ତରେ ବହୁତ ଦିଅନ୍ତି। BSB BSB: The tents of robbers are safe, and those who provoke God are secure—those who carry their god in their hands.
7 ULB ମାତ୍ର ଏବେ ପଶୁମାନଙ୍କୁ ପଚାର, ସେମାନେ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଶିକ୍ଷା ଦେବେ ଓ ଆକାଶର ପକ୍ଷୀମାନଙ୍କୁ ପଚାର, ସେମାନେ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଜଣାଇବେ; BSB BSB: But ask the animals, and they will instruct you; ask the birds of the air, and they will tell you.
8 ULB ଅବା ପୃଥିବୀକୁ ବୋଲ, ସେ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଶିକ୍ଷା ଦେବ ଓ ସମୁଦ୍ରର ମତ୍ସ୍ୟମାନେ ତୁମ୍ଭ ପ୍ରତି ପ୍ରକାଶ କରିବେ। BSB BSB: Or speak to the earth, and it will teach you; let the fish of the sea inform you.
9 ULB ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ହସ୍ତ ଯେ ଏହା କରିଅଛି, ଏସକଳ ଦ୍ୱାରା କିଏ ନ ଜାଣେ? BSB BSB: Which of all these does not know that the hand of the LORD has done this?
10 ULB ତାହାଙ୍କ ହସ୍ତରେ ପ୍ରତ୍ୟେକ ଜୀବର ପ୍ରାଣ ଓ ସମୁଦାୟ ନରବଂଶର ଶ୍ୱାସବାୟୁ ଅଛି। BSB BSB: The life of every living thing is in His hand, as well as the breath of all mankind.
11 ULB ଯେପରି ରସନା ଖାଦ୍ୟର ଆସ୍ୱାଦ ପାଏ, ସେପରି କର୍ଣ୍ଣ କ’ଣ କଥାର ପରୀକ୍ଷା ନ କରେ? BSB BSB: Does not the ear test words as the tongue tastes its food?
12 ULB ପ୍ରାଚୀନମାନଙ୍କଠାରେ ଜ୍ଞାନ ଅଛି ଓ ଦୀର୍ଘାୟୁରେ ବୁଦ୍ଧି ଥାଏ। BSB BSB: Wisdom is found with the elderly, and understanding comes with long life.
13 ULB ତାହାଙ୍କଠାରେ ଜ୍ଞାନ ଓ ପରାକ୍ରମ ଥାଏ; ତାହାଙ୍କର ମନ୍ତ୍ରଣା ଓ ବୁଦ୍ଧି ଅଛି। BSB BSB: Wisdom and strength belong to God; counsel and understanding are His.
14 ULB ଦେଖ, ସେ ଭାଙ୍ଗି ପକାନ୍ତି, ଆଉ ତାହା ପୁନଃର୍ନିର୍ମିତ ହୋଇ ନ ପାରେ; ସେ ମନୁଷ୍ୟକୁ ରୁଦ୍ଧ କଲେ, ଆଉ ମୁକୁଳା ହୋଇ ନ ପାରେ। BSB BSB: What He tears down cannot be rebuilt; the man He imprisons cannot be released.
15 ULB ଦେଖ, ସେ ଜଳରାଶିକି ଅଟକାଇଲେ, ତାହାସବୁ ଶୁଷ୍କ ହୋଇଯାଏ; ପୁନର୍ବାର ସେ ତାହା ପଠାଇ ଦେଲେ, ତାହା ପୃଥିବୀକୁ ଓଲଟପାଲଟ କରି ପକାଏ। BSB BSB: If He holds back the waters, they dry up, and if He releases them, they overwhelm the land.
16 ULB ତାହାଙ୍କଠାରେ ବଳ ଓ ଫଳଦାୟକ କର୍ମଣ୍ୟତା ଥାଏ; ଭ୍ରାନ୍ତ ଓ ଭ୍ରାମକ ତାହାଙ୍କର। BSB BSB: True wisdom and power belong to Him. The deceived and the deceiver are His.
17 ULB ସେ ମନ୍ତ୍ରୀମାନଙ୍କୁ ଲୁଟିତ କରି ନେଇଯା’ନ୍ତି ଓ ବିଚାରକର୍ତ୍ତୃଗଣକୁ ସେ ନିର୍ବୋଧ କରନ୍ତି। BSB BSB: He leads counselors away barefoot and makes fools of judges.
18 ULB ସେ ରାଜାମାନଙ୍କର ବନ୍ଧନ ମୁକ୍ତ କରନ୍ତି ଓ କଟିବନ୍ଧନୀରେ ସେମାନଙ୍କ କଟି ବାନ୍ଧନ୍ତି। BSB BSB: He loosens the bonds placed by kings and fastens a belt around their waists.
19 ULB ସେ ଯାଜକମାନଙ୍କୁ ଲୁଟିତ କରି ନେଇଯା’ନ୍ତି ଓ ବିକ୍ରମୀମାନଙ୍କୁ ପରାସ୍ତ କରନ୍ତି। BSB BSB: He leads priests away barefoot and overthrows the established.
20 ULB ସେ ବିଶ୍ୱସ୍ତମାନଙ୍କ ବଚନ ଅନ୍ୟଥା କରନ୍ତି ଓ ପ୍ରାଚୀନମାନଙ୍କ ବୁଦ୍ଧିକୁ ହରଣ କରି ନିଅନ୍ତି। BSB BSB: He deprives the trusted of speech and takes away the discernment of elders.
21 ULB ସେ ଅଧିକାରୀମାନଙ୍କ ଉପରେ ତୁଚ୍ଛତା ଢାଳନ୍ତି; ଓ ବଳବାନର ପଟୁକା ଫିଟାଇ ପକାନ୍ତି। BSB BSB: He pours out contempt on nobles and disarms the mighty.
22 ULB ସେ ଅନ୍ଧକାରରୁ ନିଗୂଢ଼ ବିଷୟ ପ୍ରକାଶ କରନ୍ତି ଓ ମୃତ୍ୟୁୁଚ୍ଛାୟାକୁ ଆଲୁଅକୁ ଆଣନ୍ତି। BSB BSB: He reveals the deep things of darkness and brings deep shadows into light.
23 ULB ସେ ଗୋଷ୍ଠୀୟମାନଙ୍କୁ ବୃଦ୍ଧି କରନ୍ତି ଓ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ବିନାଶ କରନ୍ତି; ସେ ଗୋଷ୍ଠୀୟମାନଙ୍କୁ ବାହାରେ ବିସ୍ତୀର୍ଣ୍ଣ କରନ୍ତି ଓ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଭିତରେ ଆଣନ୍ତି। BSB BSB: He makes nations great and destroys them; He enlarges nations, then disperses them.
24 ULB ସେ ପୃଥିବୀସ୍ଥ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରଧାନବର୍ଗର ହୃଦୟ ହରଣ କରନ୍ତି ଓ ସେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ପଥହୀନ ମରୁଭୂମିରେ ଭ୍ରମଣ କରାନ୍ତି। BSB BSB: He deprives the earth’s leaders of reason and makes them wander in a trackless wasteland.
25 ULB ସେମାନେ ଆଲୁଅରହିତ ହୋଇ ଅନ୍ଧକାରରେ ଦରାଣ୍ଡି ହୁଅନ୍ତି, ସେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ମତ୍ତ ଲୋକ ପରି ଟଳମଳ କରାନ୍ତି। BSB BSB: They grope in the darkness without light; He makes them stagger like drunkards.
