2 ULB ଯାହା ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଜାଣ, ତାହା ମୁଁ ଜାଣେ; ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କଠାରୁ ଊଣା ନୁହେଁ। BSB BSB: What you know, I also know; I am not inferior to you.
3 ULB ନିଶ୍ଚୟ ମୁଁ ସର୍ବଶକ୍ତିମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିବାକୁ ଇଚ୍ଛା କରେ ଓ ମୁଁ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ସହିତ ଯୁକ୍ତି କରିବାକୁ ବାଞ୍ଛା କରେ। BSB BSB: Yet I desire to speak to the Almighty and argue my case before God.
4 ULB ମାତ୍ର ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ମିଥ୍ୟାବାକ୍ୟରଚକ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ସମସ୍ତେ ମୂଲ୍ୟହୀନ ବୈଦ୍ୟ। BSB BSB: You, however, smear with lies; you are all worthless physicians.
5 ULB ଆଃ, ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଯେବେ ସମ୍ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ନୀରବ ହୋଇ ରହନ୍ତ! ତାହା ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ଜ୍ଞାନସୂଚକ ହୁଅନ୍ତା। BSB BSB: If only you would remain silent; for that would be your wisdom!
6 ULB ଏବେ ମୋହର ଯୁକ୍ତି ଶୁଣ ଓ ମୋର ଓଷ୍ଠାଧରର ପ୍ରତିବାଦରେ କର୍ଣ୍ଣପାତ କର। BSB BSB: Hear now my argument, and listen to the plea of my lips.
7 ULB ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ କ’ଣ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ପକ୍ଷରେ ଅନ୍ୟାୟ କଥା କହିବ ଓ ତାହାଙ୍କ ପକ୍ଷରେ ପ୍ରବଞ୍ଚନା-ବାକ୍ୟ କହିବ? BSB BSB: Will you speak wickedly on God’s behalf or speak deceitfully for Him?
8 ULB ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ କ’ଣ ତାହାଙ୍କର ମୁଖାପେକ୍ଷା କରିବ, ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ କ’ଣ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ପକ୍ଷରେ ବିରୋଧ କରିବ? BSB BSB: Would you show Him partiality or argue in His defense?
9 ULB ସେ ଯେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ପରୀକ୍ଷା କରିବେ, ଏହା କି ଭଲ? କିଅବା କେହି ଯେପରି ମନୁଷ୍ୟକୁ ଭୁଲାଏ, ସେପରି ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ କ’ଣ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଭୁଲାଇବ? BSB BSB: Would it be well when He examined you? Could you deceive Him as you would deceive a man?
10 ULB ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଗୋପନରେ ମୁଖାପେକ୍ଷା କଲେ, ସେ ଅବଶ୍ୟ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଅନୁଯୋଗ କରିବେ। BSB BSB: Surely He would rebuke you if you secretly showed partiality.
11 ULB ତାହାଙ୍କର ମହତ୍ତ୍ୱ କ’ଣ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଭୀତ କରିବ ନାହିଁ ଓ ତାହାଙ୍କର ଭୟଙ୍କରତା କ’ଣ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ଉପରେ ପଡ଼ିବ ନାହିଁ? BSB BSB: Would His majesty not terrify you? Would the dread of Him not fall upon you?
12 ULB ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ସ୍ମରଣୀୟ ବଚନମାଳା ଭସ୍ମରୂପ ପ୍ରବାଦ ଅଟେ, ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ଦୁର୍ଗସବୁ କର୍ଦ୍ଦମର ଦୁର୍ଗ ଅଟେ। BSB BSB: Your maxims are proverbs of ashes; your defenses are defenses of clay.
13 ULB ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ନୀରବ ହୁଅ, ମୋତେ ଛାଡ଼, ମୁଁ କଥା କହିବି, ତହିଁରେ ମୋହର ଯାହା ହେବ, ହେଉ। BSB BSB: Be silent, and I will speak. Then let come to me what may.
14 ULB ମୁଁ କାହିଁକି ଆପଣା ଦନ୍ତରେ ଆପଣା ମାଂସ ଧରିବି ଓ ଆପଣା ହସ୍ତରେ ଆପଣା ପ୍ରାଣ ରଖିବି? BSB BSB: Why do I put myself at risk and take my life in my own hands?
15 ULB ସେ ମୋତେ ବଧ କଲେ ହେଁ ମୁଁ ତାହାଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ ଅପେକ୍ଷା କରିବି; ତଥାପି ମୁଁ ତାହାଙ୍କ ଛାମୁରେ ଆପଣା ପଥ ସମର୍ଥନ କରିବି। BSB BSB: Though He slay me, I will hope in Him. I will still defend my ways to His face.
16 ULB ଏହା ହିଁ ମୋହର ମୁକ୍ତି ସ୍ୱରୂପ ହେବ; କାରଣ ଅଧାର୍ମିକ ଲୋକ ତାହାଙ୍କ ଛାମୁକୁ ଆସିବ ନାହିଁ। BSB BSB: Moreover, this will be my salvation, for no godless man can appear before Him.
17 ULB ମନୋଯୋଗ କରି ମୋହର କଥା ଶୁଣ ଓ ମୋହର ନିବେଦନ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର କର୍ଣ୍ଣଗୋଚରରେ ଥାଉ। BSB BSB: Listen carefully to my words; let my declaration ring in your ears.
18 ULB ଏବେ ଦେଖ, ମୁଁ ଆପଣା ବିଚାରର କଥା ପ୍ରସ୍ତୁତ କରିଅଛି; ମୁଁ ଜାଣେ, ମୁଁ ନିର୍ଦ୍ଦୋଷ ହେବି। BSB BSB: See now, I have prepared my case; I know that I will be vindicated.
19 ULB ମୋ’ ସଙ୍ଗେ ଯେ ବିବାଦ କରିବ, ସେ କିଏ? କାରଣ (କେହି ଥିଲେ) ମୁଁ ନୀରବ ହୋଇ ପ୍ରାଣତ୍ୟାଗ କରିବି। BSB BSB: Can anyone indict me? If so, I will be silent and die.
20 ULB କେବଳ ଦୁଇ କଥା ମୋ’ ପ୍ରତି କର ନାହିଁ, ତହିଁରେ ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭ ସମ୍ମୁଖରୁ ଆପଣାକୁ ଲୁଚାଇବି ନାହିଁ। BSB BSB: Only grant these two things to me, so that I need not hide from You:
21 ULB ତୁମ୍ଭ ହସ୍ତ ମୋ’ଠାରୁ ଦୂରକୁ କାଢ଼ି ନିଅ ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭର ଭୟାନକତା ମୋତେ ଭୀତ ନ କରୁ। BSB BSB: Withdraw Your hand from me, and do not let Your terror frighten me.
22 ULB ତେବେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଡାକ, ମୁଁ ଉତ୍ତର ଦେବି; ଅବା ମୁଁ କହେ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମୋତେ ଉତ୍ତର ଦିଅ। BSB BSB: Then call me, and I will answer, or let me speak, and You can reply.
23 ULB ମୋହର ଅପରାଧ ଓ ପାପ କେତେ? ମୋହର ଅଧର୍ମ ଓ ପାପ ମୋତେ ଜଣାଅ। BSB BSB: How many are my iniquities and sins? Reveal to me my transgression and sin.
24 ULB ତୁମ୍ଭେ କାହିଁକି ଆପଣା ମୁଖ ଲୁଚାଉଅଛ? ଓ ମୋତେ ତୁମ୍ଭର ଶତ୍ରୁ ବୋଲି ଜ୍ଞାନ କରୁଅଛ? BSB BSB: Why do You hide Your face and consider me as Your enemy?
25 ULB ତୁମ୍ଭେ କ’ଣ ଉଡ଼ନ୍ତା ପତ୍ରକୁ ଡରାଇବ? ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭେ କ’ଣ ଶୁଖିଲା କୁଟା ପଛେ ପଛେ ଗୋଡ଼ାଇବ? BSB BSB: Would You frighten a windblown leaf? Would You chase after dry chaff?
26 ULB କାରଣ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମୋ’ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ତିକ୍ତ କଥା ଲେଖୁ ଅଛ ଓ ମୋ’ ଯୌବନ-କାଳର ଅପରାଧ ଭୋଗ କରାଉଅଛ; BSB BSB: For You record bitter accusations against me and bequeath to me the iniquities of my youth.
27 ULB ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଯନ୍ତାରେ ମଧ୍ୟ ମୋହର ଚରଣ ରଖୁଅଛ ଓ ମୋହର ସବୁ ଗତି ଲକ୍ଷ୍ୟ କରୁଅଛ; ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମୋ’ ଚରଣର ଚତୁର୍ଦ୍ଦିଗରେ ଆପଣା ପାଇଁ ରେଖା ଟାଣୁଅଛ; BSB BSB: You put my feet in the stocks and stand watch over all my paths; You set a limit for the soles of my feet.
28 ULB ତଥାପି ମୁଁ କ୍ଷୟ ପାଉଥିବା ଜୀର୍ଣ୍ଣ-ପଦାର୍ଥ ତୁଲ୍ୟ ଓ କୀଟ-ଭକ୍ଷିତ ବସ୍ତ୍ର ତୁଲ୍ୟ ଅଟେ। BSB BSB: So man wastes away like something rotten, like a moth-eaten garment.
