1 ULB ଏଥିରେ ଆୟୁବ ଉତ୍ତର କରି କହିଲା, BSB BSB: Then Job answered:
2 ULB “ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ କେତେ କାଳ ମୋ’ ପ୍ରାଣକୁ ବିରକ୍ତ କରିବ ଓ କଥାରେ ମୋତେ ଖଣ୍ଡ ଖଣ୍ଡ କରି ଭାଙ୍ଗିବ? BSB BSB: “How long will you torment me and crush me with your words?
3 ULB ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଦଶ ଥର ମୋତେ ତିରସ୍କାର କରି ସାରିଲଣି, ମୋ’ ପ୍ରତି ନିଷ୍ଠୁର ବ୍ୟବହାର କରିବାରେ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଲଜ୍ଜିତ ହେଉ ନାହଁ। BSB BSB: Ten times now you have reproached me; you shamelessly mistreat me.
4 ULB ହେଉ, ମୁଁ ଭ୍ରମ କରିଅଛି, ମୋହର ଭ୍ରମ ମୋ’ ସଙ୍ଗେ ଥାଏ। BSB BSB: Even if I have truly gone astray, my error concerns me alone.
5 ULB ଯଦି ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ନିତାନ୍ତ ମୋ’ ଉପରେ ଆପଣାମାନଙ୍କୁ ବଡ଼ କରିବ ଓ ମୋ’ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ମୋ’ ଗ୍ଳାନିର ପ୍ରତିବାଦ କରିବ; BSB BSB: If indeed you would exalt yourselves above me and use my disgrace against me,
6 ULB ତେବେ ଜାଣ ଯେ, ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ମୋ’ ବିଷୟରେ ବିପରୀତ କରିଅଛନ୍ତି ଓ ଆପଣା ଜାଲରେ ମୋତେ ଚାରିଆଡ଼େ ଘେରିଅଛନ୍ତି। BSB BSB: then understand that it is God who has wronged me and drawn His net around me.
7 ULB ଦେଖ, ମୁଁ ଅନ୍ୟାୟପ୍ରଯୁକ୍ତ କ୍ରନ୍ଦନ କରେ, ମାତ୍ର ତାହା ଶୁଣାଯାଉ ନାହିଁ; ମୁଁ ସାହାଯ୍ୟ ନିମନ୍ତେ ଆର୍ତ୍ତନାଦ କରେ, ମାତ୍ର କିଛି ବିଚାର ହୁଏ ନାହିଁ। BSB BSB: Though I cry out, ‘Violence!’ I get no response; though I call for help, there is no justice.
8 ULB ସେ ମୋ’ ପଥ ରୁଦ୍ଧ କରିଅଛନ୍ତି, ତହୁଁ ମୁଁ ଯାଇ ନ ପାରେ ଓ ମୋହର ପଥ ଅନ୍ଧକାରମୟ କରିଅଛନ୍ତି। BSB BSB: He has blocked my way so I cannot pass; He has veiled my paths with darkness.
9 ULB ସେ ମୋ’ ଗୌରବ-ବସ୍ତ୍ର କାଢ଼ି ପକାଇଅଛନ୍ତି ଓ ମୋ’ ମସ୍ତକରୁ ମୁକୁଟ ନେଇଅଛନ୍ତି। BSB BSB: He has stripped me of my honor and removed the crown from my head.
10 ULB ସେ ଚାରିଆଡ଼େ ମୋତେ ଭାଙ୍ଗି ପକାଇଅଛନ୍ତି, ମୁଁ ସରିଗଲିଣି ଓ ସେ ମୋହର ଭରସା ବୃକ୍ଷ ପରି ଉତ୍ପାଟନ କରିଅଛନ୍ତି। BSB BSB: He tears me down on every side until I am gone; He uproots my hope like a tree.
11 ULB ମଧ୍ୟ ସେ ମୋ’ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ଆପଣା କ୍ରୋଧ ପ୍ରଜ୍ୱଳିତ କରିଅଛନ୍ତି ଓ ସେ ମୋତେ ଆପଣାର ଜଣେ ବିପକ୍ଷ ପରି ଗଣନା କରନ୍ତି। BSB BSB: His anger burns against me, and He counts me among His enemies.
12 ULB ତାହାଙ୍କର ସୈନ୍ୟଗଣ ଏକତ୍ର ଆସନ୍ତି ଓ ମୋ’ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ଆପଣାମାନଙ୍କ ପଥ ପ୍ରସ୍ତୁତ କରନ୍ତି ଓ ମୋ’ ତମ୍ବୁ ଚାରିଆଡ଼େ ଛାଉଣି କରନ୍ତି। BSB BSB: His troops advance together; they construct a ramp against me and encamp around my tent.
13 ULB ସେ ମୋହର ଜ୍ଞାତିମାନଙ୍କୁ ମୋ’ଠାରୁ ଦୂର କରିଅଛନ୍ତି ଓ ମୋହର ପରିଚିତ ଲୋକମାନେ ସମ୍ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ରୂପେ ଅପରିଚିତ ହୋଇଅଛନ୍ତି। BSB BSB: He has removed my brothers from me; my acquaintances have abandoned me.
14 ULB ମୋ’ କୁଟୁମ୍ବବର୍ଗ ମୋତେ ତ୍ୟାଗ କରିଅଛନ୍ତି ଓ ଆତ୍ମୀୟ ମିତ୍ରଗଣ ମୋତେ ପାସୋରିଅଛନ୍ତି। BSB BSB: My kinsmen have failed me, and my friends have forgotten me.
15 ULB ମୋ’ ଗୃହନିବାସୀମାନେ ଓ ମୋ’ ଦାସୀମାନେ ମୋତେ ଅଜଣା ଲୋକ କରି ଗଣନ୍ତି; ମୁଁ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଦୃଷ୍ଟିରେ ବିଦେଶୀ ହୋଇଅଛି। BSB BSB: My guests and maidservants count me as a stranger; I am a foreigner in their sight.
16 ULB ମୁଁ ଆପଣା ଦାସକୁ ଡାକିଲେ ଓ ନିଜ ମୁଖରେ ବିନତି କଲେ ହେଁ ସେ ମୋତେ ଉତ୍ତର ଦିଏ ନାହିଁ। BSB BSB: I call for my servant, but he does not answer, though I implore him with my own mouth.
17 ULB ମୋ’ ନିଶ୍ୱାସ ମୋ’ ଭାର୍ଯ୍ୟା ପ୍ରତି ଓ ମୋ’ ନିବେଦନ ମୋ’ ସହୋଦର ପ୍ରତି ଘୃଣିତ। BSB BSB: My breath is repulsive to my wife, and I am loathsome to my own family.
18 ULB ବାଳକମାନେ ମଧ୍ୟ ମୋତେ ଅବଜ୍ଞା କରନ୍ତି; ମୁଁ ଉଠିଲେ, ସେମାନେ ମୋ’ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ କଥା କହନ୍ତି। BSB BSB: Even little boys scorn me; when I appear, they deride me.
19 ULB ମୋହର ସୁହୃଦମାନେ ମୋତେ ଘୃଣା କରନ୍ତି ଓ ଯେଉଁମାନଙ୍କୁ ମୁଁ ସ୍ନେହ କଲି, ସେମାନେ ମୋହର ବିରୁଦ୍ଧ ହୋଇଅଛନ୍ତି। BSB BSB: All my best friends despise me, and those I love have turned against me.
20 ULB ମୋ’ ମାଂସ ଓ ଚର୍ମରେ ମୋହର ଅସ୍ଥି ଲାଗି ଯାଇଅଛି ଓ ମୁଁ ଚର୍ମାବଶିଷ୍ଟଦନ୍ତ ହୋଇ ବଞ୍ଚିଅଛି। BSB BSB: My skin and flesh cling to my bones; I have escaped by the skin of my teeth.
21 ULB ହେ ମୋହର ମିତ୍ରମାନେ, ମୋ’ ପ୍ରତି ଦୟା କର, ମୋ’ ପ୍ରତି ଦୟା କର; କାରଣ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ହସ୍ତ ମୋତେ ସ୍ପର୍ଶ କରିଅଛି। BSB BSB: Have pity on me, my friends, have pity, for the hand of God has struck me.
22 ULB ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ପରି ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ କାହିଁକି ମୋତେ ତାଡ଼ନା କରୁଅଛ ଓ ମୋ’ ମାଂସରେ ତୃପ୍ତ ହେଉ ନାହଁ? BSB BSB: Why do you persecute me as God does? Will you never get enough of my flesh?
23 ULB ଆହା, ଏବେ ମୋ’ କଥାସବୁ ଯେବେ ଲେଖା ଯା’ନ୍ତା! ଆହା, ତାହାସବୁ ଯେବେ ପୁସ୍ତକରେ ଲିଖିତ ହୁଅନ୍ତା! BSB BSB: I wish that my words were recorded and inscribed in a book,
24 ULB ଯେବେ ଲୌହ ଲେଖନୀ ଓ ସୀସା ଦ୍ୱାରା ସଦାକାଳ ପାଇଁ ତାହାସବୁ ପାଷାଣରେ ଖୋଦିତ ହୁଅନ୍ତା! BSB BSB: by an iron stylus on lead, or chiseled in stone forever.
25 ULB ମାତ୍ର ମୁଁ ଜାଣେ ଯେ, ମୋହର ମୁକ୍ତିକର୍ତ୍ତା ଜୀବିତ ଅଟନ୍ତି ଓ ଶେଷରେ ସେ ପୃଥିବୀ ଉପରେ ଠିଆ ହେବେ; BSB BSB: But I know that my Redeemer lives, and in the end He will stand upon the earth.
26 ULB ପୁଣି, ମୋହର ଚର୍ମ ଏହି ରୂପେ ବିନଷ୍ଟ ହେଲା ଉତ୍ତାରେ ହେଁ ମୁଁ ମାଂସବିହୀନ ହୋଇ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କୁ ଦେଖିବି; BSB BSB: Even after my skin has been destroyed, yet in my flesh I will see God.
27 ULB ମୁଁ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଆପଣାର ସପକ୍ଷ ଦେଖିବି, ମୋହର ଚକ୍ଷୁ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଦେଖିବ, ଅନ୍ୟ ନୁହେଁ। ବକ୍ଷ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ମୋହର ହୃଦୟ କ୍ଷୀଣ ହେଉଅଛି। BSB BSB: I will see Him for myself; my eyes will behold Him, and not as a stranger. How my heart yearns within me!
28 ULB ମୋ’ଠାରେ ମୂଳକଥା ଦେଖାଯିବାରୁ ଯଦି ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ କୁହ, ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ କିପରି ତାହାକୁ ତାଡ଼ନା କରିବା? BSB BSB: If you say, ‘Let us persecute him, since the root of the matter lies with him,’
29 ULB ତେବେ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଖଡ୍ଗ ବିଷୟରେ ଭୀତ ହୁଅ; କାରଣ କୋପ ଖଡ୍ଗରୂପ ଶାସ୍ତି ଆଣିବ; ତହିଁରେ ବିଚାର ଯେ ଅଛି, ତାହା ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଜାଣି ପାରିବ। BSB BSB: then you should fear the sword yourselves, because wrath brings punishment by the sword, so that you may know there is a judgment.”
