2 ULB ମୃତ୍ତିକାରୁ ଲୁହା କଢ଼ାଯାଏ ଓ ଧାତୁ ପ୍ରସ୍ତରରୁ ପିତ୍ତଳ ତରଳାଯାଏ। BSB BSB: Iron is taken from the earth, and copper is smelted from ore.

4 ULB ସେ ମନୁଷ୍ୟମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରବାସ-ସ୍ଥାନରୁ ଦୂରରେ ସୁଡ଼ଙ୍ଗ ଖୋଳେ; ସେମାନେ ନିକଟଗାମୀ ଚରଣ ଦ୍ୱାରା ବିସ୍ମୃତ ହୁଅନ୍ତି; ସେମାନେ ମନୁଷ୍ୟମାନଙ୍କଠାରୁ ଦୂରରେ ଝୁଲନ୍ତି, ସେମାନେ ଏଣେତେଣେ ଦୋହଲନ୍ତି। BSB BSB: Far from human habitation he cuts a shaft in places forgotten by the foot of man. Far from men he dangles and sways.
5 ULB ମୃତ୍ତିକାରୁ ଖାଦ୍ୟ ଉତ୍ପନ୍ନ ହୁଏ ଓ ତହିଁର ଅଧୋଭାଗ ଅଗ୍ନି ଦ୍ୱାରା ଲଣ୍ଡଭଣ୍ଡ ହେଲା ପରି ହୁଏ। BSB BSB: Food may come from the earth, but from below it is transformed as by fire.

9 ULB ମନୁଷ୍ୟ ଦୃଢ଼ ଶୈଳ ଉପରେ ଆପଣା ହାତ ଦିଏ; ସେ ପର୍ବତଗଣକୁ ସମୂଳେ ଓଲ୍ଟାଇ ପକାଏ। BSB BSB: The miner strikes the flint; he overturns mountains at their base.

12 ULB ମାତ୍ର ଜ୍ଞାନ କେଉଁଠାରେ ପ୍ରାପ୍ତ ହୁଏ? ଓ ବୁଦ୍ଧିର ସ୍ଥାନ କାହିଁ? BSB BSB: But where can wisdom be found, and where does understanding dwell?
13 ULB ମନୁଷ୍ୟ ତହିଁର ମୂଲ୍ୟ ଜାଣେ ନାହିଁ; କିଅବା ଜୀବିତମାନଙ୍କ ଦେଶରେ ତାହା ମିଳେ ନାହିଁ। BSB BSB: No man can know its value, nor is it found in the land of the living.
14 ULB ବାରିଧି କହେ, ତାହା ମୋ’ଠାରେ ନାହିଁ; ପୁଣି, ସମୁଦ୍ର କହେ, ତାହା ମୋ’ଠାରେ ନାହିଁ। BSB BSB: The ocean depths say, ‘It is not in me,’ while the sea declares, ‘It is not with me.’
15 ULB ସୁବର୍ଣ୍ଣ ଦ୍ୱାରା ତାହା ପ୍ରାପ୍ତ ହୋଇ ନ ପାରେ, କିଅବା ତହିଁର ମୂଲ୍ୟାର୍ଥେ ରୂପା ତୌଲା ଯିବ ନାହିଁ। BSB BSB: It cannot be bought with gold, nor can its price be weighed out in silver.
16 ULB ଓଫୀରର ସୁବର୍ଣ୍ଣ ଦ୍ୱାରା ତହିଁର ମୂଲ୍ୟ କରାଯାଇ ନ ପାରେ, ବହୁମୂଲ୍ୟ ଗୋମେଦକ ଅବା ନୀଳକାନ୍ତ ମଣି ଦ୍ୱାରା ନୁହେଁ। BSB BSB: It cannot be valued in the gold of Ophir, in precious onyx or sapphire.
17 ULB ସ୍ୱର୍ଣ୍ଣ ଓ କାଚ ତହିଁର ସମାନ ହୋଇ ନ ପାରେ; କିଅବା ଶୁଦ୍ଧ ସ୍ୱର୍ଣ୍ଣାଭରଣ ତହିଁର ପରିବର୍ତ୍ତ ହେବ ନାହିଁ। BSB BSB: Neither gold nor crystal can compare to it, nor jewels of fine gold be exchanged for it.
18 ULB ତହିଁ ନିକଟରେ ପ୍ରବାଳ ଓ ସ୍ପଟିକର କଥା କୁହାଯାଏ ନାହିଁ; କାରଣ ପଦ୍ମରାଗ ମଣି ଅପେକ୍ଷା ଜ୍ଞାନର ମୂଲ୍ୟ ଅଧିକ। BSB BSB: Coral and quartz are unworthy of mention; the price of wisdom is beyond rubies.
19 ULB କୂଶଦେଶୀୟ ପୀତମଣି ତହିଁର ସମାନ ହେବ ନାହିଁ, କିଅବା ନିର୍ମଳ ସୁବର୍ଣ୍ଣରେ ତହିଁର ମୂଲ୍ୟ କରାଯିବ ନାହିଁ। BSB BSB: Topaz from Cush cannot compare to it, nor can it be valued in pure gold.
20 ULB ତେବେ ଜ୍ଞାନ କେଉଁଠାରୁ ଆସେ? ଓ ବୁଦ୍ଧିର ସ୍ଥାନ କାହିଁ? BSB BSB: From where, then, does wisdom come, and where does understanding dwell?
21 ULB ତାହା ତ ସମସ୍ତ ପ୍ରାଣୀଙ୍କ ଚକ୍ଷୁରୁ ଗୁପ୍ତ ଓ ଆକାଶର ପକ୍ଷୀମାନଙ୍କଠାରୁ ଆବୃତ କରାଯାଇଅଛି। BSB BSB: It is hidden from the eyes of every living thing and concealed from the birds of the air.
22 ULB ବିନାଶ ଓ ମୃତ୍ୟୁୁ କହନ୍ତି, ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ସ୍ୱକର୍ଣ୍ଣରେ ତହିଁର ଜନରବ ଶୁଣିଅଛୁ। BSB BSB: Abaddon and Death say, ‘We have heard a rumor about it.’
23 ULB ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ତହିଁର ପଥ ଜାଣନ୍ତି ଓ ସେ ତହିଁର ସ୍ଥାନ ଜ୍ଞାତ ଅଛନ୍ତି। BSB BSB: But God understands its way, and He knows its place.
24 ULB କାରଣ ସେ ପୃଥିବୀର ପ୍ରାନ୍ତ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଅନାଇ ଓ ସମୁଦାୟ ଆକାଶମଣ୍ଡଳର ଅଧଃସ୍ଥାନ ଦେଖି BSB BSB: For He looks to the ends of the earth and sees everything under the heavens.
25 ULB ବାୟୁର ଓଜନ ନିରୂପଣ କରନ୍ତି ଓ ପରିମାଣ ଦ୍ୱାରା ଜଳ ପରିମିତ କରନ୍ତି। BSB BSB: When God fixed the weight of the wind and measured out the waters,
26 ULB ଯେତେବେଳେ ସେ ବୃଷ୍ଟିର ନିୟମ ନିରୂପଣ କଲେ ଓ ମେଘଗର୍ଜ୍ଜନର ବିଦ୍ୟୁତ ପାଇଁ ପଥ ସ୍ଥିର କଲେ; BSB BSB: when He set a limit for the rain and a path for the thunderbolt,
27 ULB ସେତେବେଳେ ସେ ତାହା ଦେଖିଲେ ଓ ତାହା ପ୍ରଚାର କଲେ; ସେ ତାହା ସ୍ଥାପନ କଲେ, ଆଉ ତହିଁର ତଦନ୍ତ କଲେ। BSB BSB: then He looked at wisdom and appraised it; He established it and searched it out.
28 ULB ପୁଣି, ସେ ମନୁଷ୍ୟକୁ କହିଲେ, ‘ଦେଖ, ପ୍ରଭୁ ବିଷୟକ ଭୟ ହିଁ ଜ୍ଞାନ ଓ କୁକ୍ରିୟା ତ୍ୟାଗ ହିଁ ବୁଦ୍ଧି।’” BSB BSB: And He said to man, ‘Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom, and to turn away from evil is understanding.’”
