1 ULB ଇଲୀହୂ ଆହୁରି କହିଲା, BSB BSB: And Elihu continued:
2 ULB “ଟିକିଏ ସମ୍ଭାଳ, ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଜଣାଇବି; କାରଣ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ପକ୍ଷରେ ମୋହର ଆହୁରି କିଛି କହିବାର ଅଛି। BSB BSB: “Bear with me a little longer, and I will show you that there is more to be said on God’s behalf.
3 ULB ମୁଁ ଦୂରରୁ ଆପଣା ଜ୍ଞାନ ଆଣିବି ଓ ଆପଣା ସୃଷ୍ଟିକର୍ତ୍ତାଙ୍କର ଧାର୍ମିକତା ପ୍ରତିପନ୍ନ କରିବି; BSB BSB: I get my knowledge from afar, and I will ascribe justice to my Maker.
4 ULB କାରଣ ପ୍ରକୃତରେ ମୋହର କଥା ମିଥ୍ୟା ନୁହେଁ। ଜ୍ଞାନରେ ସିଦ୍ଧ ଜଣେ ତୁମ୍ଭ ସଙ୍ଗେ ଅଛି। BSB BSB: For truly my words are free of falsehood; one perfect in knowledge is with you.
5 ULB ଦେଖ, ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ପରାକ୍ରମୀ ଓ କାହାକୁ ତୁଚ୍ଛ କରନ୍ତି ନାହିଁ; ସେ ବୁଦ୍ଧିବଳରେ ପରାକ୍ରମୀ ଅଟନ୍ତି। BSB BSB: Indeed, God is mighty, but He despises no one; He is mighty in strength of understanding.
6 ULB ସେ ଦୁଷ୍ଟର ପ୍ରାଣ ରକ୍ଷା କରନ୍ତି ନାହିଁ; ମାତ୍ର ଦୁଃଖଗ୍ରସ୍ତମାନଙ୍କୁ ନ୍ୟାୟ ପ୍ରଦାନ କରନ୍ତି। BSB BSB: He does not keep the wicked alive, but He grants justice to the afflicted.
7 ULB ସେ ଧାର୍ମିକମାନଙ୍କଠାରୁ ଆପଣା ଦୃଷ୍ଟି ଫେରାନ୍ତି ନାହିଁ; ମାତ୍ର ସେ ସିଂହାସନୋପବିଷ୍ଟ ରାଜାଗଣ ସଙ୍ଗରେ ସଦାକାଳ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ସ୍ଥାପନ କରନ୍ତି ଓ ସେମାନେ ଉନ୍ନତ ହୁଅନ୍ତି। BSB BSB: He does not take His eyes off the righteous, but He enthrones them with kings and exalts them forever.
8 ULB ପୁଣି, ଯଦି ସେମାନେ ଜଞ୍ଜିରରେ ବନ୍ଧାଯା’ନ୍ତି ଓ ଦୁଃଖରୂପ ରଜ୍ଜୁରେ ଧରାଯା’ନ୍ତି BSB BSB: And if men are bound with chains, caught in cords of affliction,
9 ULB ତେବେ ସେ ସେମାନଙ୍କର କ୍ରିୟା, ସେମାନଙ୍କର ଅପରାଧ ଓ ସେମାନଙ୍କର ଗର୍ବାଚରଣ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଦେଖାନ୍ତି। BSB BSB: then He tells them their deeds and how arrogantly they have transgressed.
10 ULB ମଧ୍ୟ ଶିକ୍ଷା ପ୍ରତି ସେ ସେମାନଙ୍କ କର୍ଣ୍ଣ ମୁକ୍ତ କରନ୍ତି ଓ ଅଧର୍ମରୁ ଫେରିବା ପାଇଁ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଆଜ୍ଞା ଦିଅନ୍ତି। BSB BSB: He opens their ears to correction and commands that they turn from iniquity.
11 ULB ଯଦି ସେମାନେ ଶୁଣି ତାହାଙ୍କର ସେବା କରିବେ, ତେବେ ସେମାନେ ସମୃଦ୍ଧିରେ ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ଦିନ ଓ ସୁଖରେ ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ବର୍ଷ କ୍ଷେପଣ କରିବେ। BSB BSB: If they obey and serve Him, then they end their days in prosperity and their years in happiness.
12 ULB ମାତ୍ର ସେମାନେ ନ ଶୁଣିଲେ, ଖଡ୍ଗରେ ବିନଷ୍ଟ ହେବେ ଓ ଜ୍ଞାନବର୍ଜ୍ଜିତ ହୋଇ ମରିବେ। BSB BSB: But if they do not obey, then they perish by the sword and die without knowledge.
13 ULB ମାତ୍ର ଅନ୍ତଃକରଣରେ ଅଧାର୍ମିକ ଲୋକମାନେ କ୍ରୋଧ ସଞ୍ଚୟ କରନ୍ତି; ସେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ବାନ୍ଧିଲେ, ସେମାନେ ସାହାଯ୍ୟ ପାଇଁ ଡାକ ପକାନ୍ତି ନାହିଁ। BSB BSB: The godless in heart harbor resentment; even when He binds them, they do not cry for help.
14 ULB ସେମାନେ ଯୌବନକାଳରେ ମରନ୍ତି ଓ ଅଶୁଚି ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଜୀବନ ବିନଷ୍ଟ ହୁଏ। BSB BSB: They die in their youth, among the male shrine prostitutes.
15 ULB ସେ ଦୁଃଖୀଲୋକକୁ ତାହାର ଦୁଃଖ ଦ୍ୱାରା ଉଦ୍ଧାର କରନ୍ତି ଓ ଉପଦ୍ରବ ଦ୍ୱାରା ସେମାନଙ୍କର କର୍ଣ୍ଣ ମୁକ୍ତ କରନ୍ତି। BSB BSB: God rescues the afflicted by their affliction and opens their ears in oppression.
16 ULB ସେ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ହିଁ ଦୁଃଖରୁ ବାହାର କରି ସଙ୍କୀର୍ଣ୍ଣତାରହିତ ପ୍ରଶସ୍ତ ସ୍ଥାନକୁ ନେଇଯାଆନ୍ତେ; ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭ ମେଜ ଉପରେ ସଜ୍ଜିତ ଦ୍ରବ୍ୟ ମେଦପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ହୁଅନ୍ତା। BSB BSB: Indeed, He drew you from the jaws of distress to a spacious and broad place, to a table full of richness.
17 ULB ମାତ୍ର ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଦୁଷ୍ଟର ବିଚାରରେ ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ଅଛ; ବିଚାର ଓ ଶାସ୍ତି ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଧରିଅଛି। BSB BSB: But now you are laden with the judgment due the wicked; judgment and justice have seized you.
18 ULB କୋପ ଅଛି, ଯେପରି ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆପଣା ପ୍ରଚୁରତା ଦ୍ୱାରା ଭ୍ରାନ୍ତ ନ ହୁଅ; କିଅବା ପ୍ରାୟଶ୍ଚିତ୍ତର ମହତ୍ତ୍ୱ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ନ ଭୁଲାଏ, ଏଥିପାଇଁ ସାବଧାନ। BSB BSB: Be careful that no one lures you with riches; do not let a large bribe lead you astray.
19 ULB ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଯେପରି ଦୁଃଖଗ୍ରସ୍ତ ନୋହିବ, ଏଥିପାଇଁ ତୁମ୍ଭର ଧନ ଓ ବଳର ସମସ୍ତ ପ୍ରତାପ କି ପ୍ରଚୁର ହେବ? BSB BSB: Can your wealth or all your mighty effort keep you from distress?
20 ULB ଯେଉଁ ରାତ୍ରିରେ ଗୋଷ୍ଠୀୟମାନେ ସ୍ୱ ସ୍ୱ ସ୍ଥାନରେ ଉଚ୍ଛିନ୍ନ ହୁଅନ୍ତି, ସେହି ରାତ୍ରି ବାଞ୍ଛା କର ନାହିଁ। BSB BSB: Do not long for the night, when people vanish from their homes.
21 ULB ସାବଧାନ, ଅଧର୍ମକୁ ଆଦର କର ନାହିଁ; କାରଣ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଦୁଃଖଭୋଗ ଅପେକ୍ଷା ଏହା ହିଁ ମନୋନୀତ କରିଅଛ। BSB BSB: Be careful not to turn to iniquity, for this you have preferred to affliction.
22 ULB ଦେଖ, ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ଆପଣା ପରାକ୍ରମରେ ଉଚ୍ଚ ଭାବରେ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟ କରନ୍ତି; ତାହାଙ୍କ ପରି ଶିକ୍ଷକ କିଏ ଅଛି? BSB BSB: Behold, God is exalted in His power. Who is a teacher like Him?
23 ULB କିଏ ତାହାଙ୍କର ଗନ୍ତବ୍ୟ ପଥ ନିରୂପଣ କରିଅଛି? ଅବା କିଏ କହିପାରେ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଅଧର୍ମ କରିଅଛ? BSB BSB: Who has appointed His way for Him, or told Him, ‘You have done wrong’?
24 ULB ତାହାଙ୍କ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟର ମାହାତ୍ମ୍ୟ ପ୍ରକାଶ କରିବାକୁ ସ୍ମରଣ କର, ଲୋକମାନେ ତହିଁର କୀର୍ତ୍ତନ କରିଅଛନ୍ତି। BSB BSB: Remember to magnify His work, which men have praised in song.
25 ULB ସମସ୍ତ ଲୋକ ତହିଁ ପ୍ରତି ନିରୀକ୍ଷଣ କରିଅଛନ୍ତି, ମନୁଷ୍ୟ ଦୂରରୁ ତାହା ଦେଖେ। BSB BSB: All mankind has seen it; men behold it from afar.
26 ULB ଦେଖ, ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ମହାନ ଓ ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଜାଣୁ ନାହୁଁ; ତାହାଙ୍କ ବର୍ଷର ସଂଖ୍ୟା ଅନନୁସନ୍ଧେୟ। BSB BSB: Indeed, God is great—beyond our knowledge; the number of His years is unsearchable.
27 ULB କାରଣ ସେ ଜଳବିନ୍ଦୁସବୁ ଆକର୍ଷଣ କରନ୍ତି, ତାହା ବୃଷ୍ଟି ରୂପେ ତାହାଙ୍କ ବାଷ୍ପରୁ ପଡ଼େ। BSB BSB: For He draws up drops of water which distill the rain from the mist,
28 ULB ଆକାଶ ତାହା ଢାଳି ଦିଏ ଓ ମନୁଷ୍ୟ ଉପରେ ତାହା ବହୁଳ ରୂପେ ବର୍ଷେ। BSB BSB: which the clouds pour out and shower abundantly on mankind.
29 ULB ମେଘମାଳର ପ୍ରସାରଣ ଓ ତାହାଙ୍କ ଚନ୍ଦ୍ରାତପର ଗର୍ଜ୍ଜନ କି କେହି ବୁଝିପାରେ? BSB BSB: Furthermore, who can understand how the clouds spread out, how the thunder roars from His pavilion?
30 ULB ଦେଖ, ସେ ଆପଣା ଚତୁର୍ଦ୍ଦିଗରେ ନିଜ ଦୀପ୍ତି ବିସ୍ତାର କରନ୍ତି; ପୁଣି, ସେ ସମୁଦ୍ରର ତଳଭାଗ ଆବୃତ କରନ୍ତି। BSB BSB: See how He scatters His lightning around Him and covers the depths of the sea.
31 ULB କାରଣ ସେ ଏସବୁ ଦ୍ୱାରା ଗୋଷ୍ଠୀବର୍ଗର ଶାସନ କରନ୍ତି; ସେ ବହୁଳ ପରିମାଣରେ ଆହାର ଦିଅନ୍ତି। BSB BSB: For by these He judges the nations and provides food in abundance.
32 ULB ସେ ବିଜୁଳିରେ ଆପଣା ହସ୍ତ ଆଚ୍ଛାଦନ କରନ୍ତି ଓ ଲକ୍ଷ୍ୟ ସ୍ଥଳ ଆଘାତ କରିବାକୁ ଆଜ୍ଞା ଦିଅନ୍ତି। BSB BSB: He fills His hands with lightning and commands it to strike its mark.
33 ULB ତହିଁର ଶବ୍ଦ ତାହାଙ୍କ ବିଷୟରେ ପରିଚୟ ଦିଏ, ପଶୁପଲ ମଧ୍ୟ ଆଗାମୀ ତୋଫାନ ବିଷୟ ଜଣାନ୍ତି। BSB BSB: The thunder declares His presence; even the cattle regard the rising storm.
