1 ULB ପରେ ସଭାରେ ସମସ୍ତେ ଉଠି ପୀଲାତଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କୁ ଘେନିଗଲେ। BSB BSB: Then the whole council rose and led Jesus away to Pilate.
2 ULB ଆଉ ସେମାନେ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ଅଭିଯୋଗ କରିବାକୁ ଲାଗିଲେ, ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଦେଖିଲୁ, ଏ ଲୋକଟା ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ଜାତିକୁ ରାଜଦ୍ରୋହୀ କରୁଅଛି ଏବଂ କାଇସରଙ୍କୁ କର ଦେବା ନିଷେଧ କରୁଅଛି ଓ ଆପଣାକୁ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟ, ରାଜା ବୋଲି କହୁଅଛି। BSB BSB: And they began to accuse Him, saying, “We found this man subverting our nation, forbidding payment of taxes to Caesar, and proclaiming Himself to be Christ, a King.”
3 ULB ଏଥିରେ ପୀଲାତ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କୁ ପଚାରିଲେ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ କି ଯିହୂଦୀମାନଙ୍କର ରାଜା? ସେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଉତ୍ତର ଦେଲେ, ଆପଣ କହୁଅଛନ୍ତି। BSB BSB: So Pilate asked Him, “Are You the King of the Jews?” “You have said so,” Jesus replied.
4 ULB ଏଥିରେ ପୀଲାତ ପ୍ରଧାନ ଯାଜକ ଓ ଲୋକସମୂହକୁ କହିଲେ, ଆମ୍ଭେ ଏହି ଲୋକଠାରେ କୌଣସି ଦୋଷ ପାଉ ନାହୁଁ। BSB BSB: Then Pilate said to the chief priests and the crowds, “I find no basis for a charge against this man.”
5 ULB କିନ୍ତୁ ସେମାନେ ଆହୁରି ଦୃଢ଼ରୂପେ କହିବାକୁ ଲାଗିଲେ, ଏ ସମଗ୍ର ଯିହୂଦା ଦେଶରେ ଶିକ୍ଷା ଦେଇ ଗାଲିଲୀଠାରୁ ଆରମ୍ଭ କରି ଏ ସ୍ଥାନ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ସୁଦ୍ଧା ଲୋକସାଧାରଣଙ୍କୁ ମତାଉଅଛି। BSB BSB: But they kept insisting, “He stirs up the people all over Judea with His teaching. He began in Galilee and has come all the way here.”
6 ULB କିନ୍ତୁ ପୀଲାତ ଏହା ଶୁଣି ପଚାରିଲେ, ଏ ଲୋକଟା କ'ଣ ଜଣେ ଗାଲିଲୀୟ? BSB BSB: When Pilate heard this, he asked if the man was a Galilean.
7 ULB ପୁଣି, ସେ ଯେ ହେରୋଦଙ୍କ ଅଧିକାର ଅଧିନରେ ଅଛନ୍ତି, ଏହା ଜ୍ଞାତ ହୋଇ ସେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ହେରୋଦଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ପଠାଇଦେଲେ, ଯେଣୁ ସେ ମଧ୍ୟ ଏହି ସମୟରେ ଯିରୂଶାଲମରେ ଥିଲେ। BSB BSB: And learning that Jesus was under Herod’s jurisdiction, he sent Him to Herod, who himself was in Jerusalem at that time.
8 ULB ହେରୋଦ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କୁ ଦେଖି ଅତ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଆନନ୍ଦିତ ହେଲେ, କାରଣ ସେ ତାହାଙ୍କ ବିଷୟ ଶୁଣିଥିବାରୁ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ବହୁକାଳରୁ ଦେଖିବାକୁ ଇଚ୍ଛା କରୁଥିଲେ, ପୁଣି, ତାହାଙ୍କ ଦ୍ୱାରା କୌଣସି ଆଶ୍ଚର୍ଯ୍ୟକର୍ମ ସାଧିତ ହେବା ଦେଖିବାକୁ ଆଶା କରୁଥିଲେ। BSB BSB: When Herod saw Jesus, he was greatly pleased. He had wanted to see Him for a long time, because he had heard about Him and was hoping to see Him perform a miracle.

10 ULB ଆଉ ପ୍ରଧାନ ଯାଜକ ଓ ଶାସ୍ତ୍ରୀମାନେ ଠିଆ ହୋଇ ତାହାଙ୍କ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ତୀବ୍ରଭାବରେ ଅଭିଯୋଗ କରୁଥିଲେ। BSB BSB: Meanwhile, the chief priests and scribes stood there, vehemently accusing Him.
11 ULB ପୁଣି, ହେରୋଦ ଆପଣା ସୈନ୍ୟମାନଙ୍କ ସହିତ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ତୁଚ୍ଛ କରି ପରିହାସପୂର୍ବକ ଚାକଚକ୍ୟ ବସ୍ତ୍ର ପିନ୍ଧାଇ ପୀଲାତଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ପୁନର୍ବାର ପଠାଇଦେଲେ। BSB BSB: And even Herod and his soldiers ridiculed and mocked Him. Dressing Him in a fine robe, they sent Him back to Pilate.
12 ULB ସେହି ଦିନ ହେରୋଦ ଓ ପୀଲାତ ପରସ୍ପର ବନ୍ଧୁ ହେଲେ; ଏଥିପୂର୍ବେ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ପରସ୍ପର ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଶତ୍ରୁତା ଥିଲା। BSB BSB: That day Herod and Pilate became friends; before this time they had been enemies.
13 ULB ଏଥିଉତ୍ତାରେ ପୀଲାତ ପ୍ରଧାନ ଯାଜକ, ଅଧ୍ୟକ୍ଷ ଓ ଜନସାଧାରଣଙ୍କୁ ଡାକି ଏକତ୍ର କରି ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, BSB BSB: Then Pilate called together the chief priests, the rulers, and the people,
14 ULB ଏ ଲୋକସାଧାରଣଙ୍କୁ ବିଦ୍ରୋହୀ କରୁଅଛି ବୋଲି ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଏହାକୁ ଆମ୍ଭ ନିକଟକୁ ଆଣିଥିଲ; ଆଉ ଦେଖ, ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ସାକ୍ଷାତରେ ଏହାକୁ ପ୍ରଶ୍ନ କରି, ତାହା ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଯେ ସମସ୍ତ ଅଭିଯୋଗ କରୁଅଛ, ସେପରି କୌଣସି ଦୋଷ ଏହାଠାରେ ପାଇଲୁ ନାହିଁ। ହେରୋଦ ମଧ୍ୟ ପାଇ ନାହାଁନ୍ତି, BSB BSB: and said to them, “You brought me this man as one who was inciting the people to rebellion. I have examined Him here in your presence and found Him not guilty of your charges against Him.
15 ULB କାରଣ ସେ ତାହାକୁ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ପୁଣି, ପଠାଇଦେଲେ; ଆଉ ଦେଖ, ଏହି ବ୍ୟକ୍ତି ପ୍ରାଣଦଣ୍ଡ ଯୋଗ୍ୟ କୌଣସି କର୍ମ କରି ନାହିଁ; BSB BSB: Neither has Herod, for he sent Him back to us. As you can see, He has done nothing deserving of death.
16 ULB ଅତଏବ ଆମ୍ଭେ ଏହାକୁ ଶାସ୍ତି ଦେଇ ମୁକ୍ତ କରିଦେବୁ BSB BSB: Therefore I will punish Him and release Him.”
17 ULB ପର୍ବ ସମୟରେ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ନିମନ୍ତେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଜଣେ ବନ୍ଦୀକୁ ମୁକ୍ତ କରିବାକୁ ହେଉଥିଲା। BSB BSB: Not in the BSB
18 ULB ମାତ୍ର ସେମାନେ ସମସ୍ତେ ଏକତ୍ର ଚିତ୍କାର କରି କହିଲେ, ଏହାକୁ ବଧ କର, ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ନିମନ୍ତେ ବାରବ୍ବାକୁ ମୁକ୍ତ କର। BSB BSB: But they all cried out in unison: “Away with this man! Release Barabbas to us!”

20 ULB ମାତ୍ର ପୀଲାତ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କୁ ମୁକ୍ତ କରିବାକୁ ଇଚ୍ଛା କରି ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ପୁନର୍ବାର ବୁଝାଇଲେ। BSB BSB: Wanting to release Jesus, Pilate addressed them again,
21 ULB କିନ୍ତୁ ସେମାନେ ଉଚ୍ଚସ୍ୱରରେ କହିବାକୁ ଲାଗିଲେ, ତାହାକୁ କ୍ରୁଶରେ ଚଢ଼ାଅ, କ୍ରୁଶରେ ଚଢ଼ାଅ। BSB BSB: but they kept shouting, “Crucify Him! Crucify Him!”
22 ULB ପୁଣି, ସେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ତୃତୀୟ ଥର କହିଲେ, କାହିଁକି, ସେ କି ଦୋଷ କରିଅଛି? ଆମ୍ଭେ ତାହାଠାରେ ପ୍ରାଣଦଣ୍ଡର କୌଣସି ଦୋଷ ପାଇ ନାହୁଁ; ଅତଏବ, ଆମ୍ଭେ ତାହାକୁ ଶାସ୍ତି ଦେଇ ଛାଡ଼ିଦେବା। BSB BSB: A third time he said to them, “What evil has this man done? I have found in Him no offense worthy of death. So after I punish Him, I will release Him.”
23 ULB ମାତ୍ର ସେ କ୍ରୁଶରେ ଚଢ଼ାଯାଉ ବୋଲି ଦାବି କରି ସେମାନେ ବଡ଼ ପାଟିରେ ଜିଦ୍ କରିବାକୁ ଲାଗିଲେ, ଆଉ ସେମାନଙ୍କ କୋଳାହଳର ଜୟ ହେଲା। BSB BSB: But they were insistent, demanding with loud voices for Jesus to be crucified. And their clamor prevailed.
24 ULB ପୁଣି, ସେମାନଙ୍କର ଦାବି ଅନୁସାରେ କରାଯାଉ ବୋଲି ପୀଲାତ ଆଦେଶ ଦେଲେ; BSB BSB: So Pilate sentenced that their demand be met.
25 ULB କିନ୍ତୁ ବିପ୍ଲବ ଓ ନରହତ୍ୟା ହେତୁ କାରାଗାରରେ ପକାଯାଇଥିବା ଯେଉଁ ଲୋକ ନିମନ୍ତେ ସେମାନେ ଦାବି କରିଥିଲେ, ତାହାକୁ ସେ ମୁକ୍ତ କରିଦେଲେ, ଆଉ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କୁ ସେ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଇଚ୍ଛାର ଅଧିନରେ ସମର୍ପଣ କଲେ। BSB BSB: As they had requested, he released the one imprisoned for insurrection and murder, and he handed Jesus over to their will.
26 ULB ସେମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଘେନିଯିବା ସମୟରେ ପଲ୍ଲୀଗ୍ରାମରୁ ଆସୁଥିବା ଶିମୋନ ନାମକ ଜଣେ କୁରୀଣୀୟ ଲୋକଙ୍କୁ ଧରି ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କ ପଛେ ପଛେ କ୍ରୁଶ ବହିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ତାହାଙ୍କ କାନ୍ଧରେ ତାହା ଥୋଇଲେ। BSB BSB: As the soldiers led Him away, they seized Simon of Cyrene on his way in from the country, and they put the cross on him to carry behind Jesus.
27 ULB ପୁଣି, ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କର ଓ ତାହାଙ୍କ ନିମନ୍ତେ ବକ୍ଷାଘାତ କରି ବିଳାପ କରୁଥିବା ସ୍ତ୍ରୀଲୋକମାନଙ୍କର ମହାଜନତା ତାହାଙ୍କର ପଶ୍ଚାଦ୍ଗମନ କରୁଥିଲେ। BSB BSB: A great number of people followed Him, including women who kept mourning and wailing for Him.
28 ULB କିନ୍ତୁ ଯୀଶୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଆଡ଼କୁ ବୁଲିପଡ଼ି କହିଲେ, ଗୋ ଯିରୂଶାଲମର କନ୍ୟାମାନେ, ମୋ' ନିମନ୍ତେ ରୋଦନ କର ନାହିଁ, ବରଂ ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ନିମନ୍ତେ ଓ ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ସନ୍ତାନମାନଙ୍କ ନିମନ୍ତେ ରୋଦନ କର; BSB BSB: But Jesus turned to them and said, “Daughters of Jerusalem, do not weep for Me, but weep for yourselves and for your children.
29 ULB କାରଣ ଦେଖ, ଯେଉଁମାନେ ବନ୍ଧ୍ୟା, ପୁଣି, ଯେଉଁମାନେ କେବେ ହେଁ ଗର୍ଭବତୀ ହୋଇ ନାହାଁନ୍ତି ଓ ସ୍ତନ୍ୟପାନ କରାଇ ନାହାଁନ୍ତି, ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଲୋକେ ଯେତେବେଳେ ଧନ୍ୟ ଧନ୍ୟ ବୋଲି କହିବେ ଏପରି ସମୟ ଆସୁଅଛି। BSB BSB: Look, the days are coming when people will say, ‘Blessed are the barren women, the wombs that never bore, and breasts that never nursed!’
30 ULB ସେତେବେଳେ ଲୋକେ ପର୍ବତମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିବାକୁ ଲାଗିବେ, ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ଉପରେ ପଡ଼, ଆଉ ଉପପର୍ବତମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିବାକୁ ଲାଗିବେ, ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଘୋଡ଼ାଇ ପକାଅ। BSB BSB: At that time ‘they will say to the mountains, “Fall on us!” and to the hills, “Cover us!”’
31 ULB କାରଣ ଲୋକେ ଯଦି ସତେଜ ବୃକ୍ଷ ପ୍ରତି ଏହା କରନ୍ତି, ତେବେ ଶୁଷ୍କ ବୃକ୍ଷ ପ୍ରତି କ'ଣ ନ ଘଟିବ? BSB BSB: For if men do these things while the tree is green, what will happen when it is dry?”
32 ULB ପୁଣି, ପ୍ରାଣଦଣ୍ଡ ଭୋଗିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ଦୁଇ ଜଣ ଦୁଷ୍କର୍ମକାରୀ ମଧ୍ୟ ତାହାଙ୍କ ସାଙ୍ଗରେ ନିଆଯାଉଥିଲେ। BSB BSB: Two others, who were criminals, were also led away to be executed with Jesus.
35 ULB ପୁଣି, ଲୋକମାନେ ଠିଆ ହୋଇ ଦେଖୁଥିଲେ। ଆଉ ଅଧ୍ୟକ୍ଷମାନେ ମଧ୍ୟ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ବିଦୃପ କରି କହିବାକୁ ଲାଗିଲେ, ସେ ଅନ୍ୟମାନଙ୍କୁ ରକ୍ଷା କଲା; ସେ ଯଦି ଈଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ମନୋନୀତ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟ, ତେବେ ନିଜକୁ ରକ୍ଷା କରୁ। BSB BSB: The people stood watching, and the rulers sneered at Him, saying, “He saved others; let Him save Himself if He is the Christ of God, the Chosen One.”
36 ULB ପୁଣି, ସୈନ୍ୟମାନେ ମଧ୍ୟ ତାହାଙ୍କ ପାଖକୁ ଆସି ଅମ୍ଲରସ ଯାଚି ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ପରିହାସ କରି କହିଲେ, BSB BSB: The soldiers also mocked Him and came up to offer Him sour wine.
37 ULB ତୁ ଯଦି ଯିହୂଦୀମାନଙ୍କର ରାଜା, ତାହାହେଲେ ନିଜକୁ ରକ୍ଷା କର। BSB BSB: “If You are the King of the Jews,” they said, “save Yourself!”
38 ULB ପୁଣି, ତାହାଙ୍କ ଊର୍ଦ୍ଧ୍ୱରେ ଏହି ଲିପି ମଧ୍ୟ ଲେଖା ଥିଲା, "ଏ ଯିହୂଦୀମାନଙ୍କର ରାଜା।" BSB BSB: Above Him was posted an inscription: THIS IS THE KING OF THE JEWS.
39 ULB ଆଉ କ୍ରୁଶରେ ଚଢ଼ାଯାଇ ଥିବା ଦୁଷ୍କର୍ମକାରୀମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ଜଣେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ନିନ୍ଦା କରି କହିବାକୁ ଲାଗିଲା, ତୁ କ'ଣ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟ ନୋହୁଁ? ନିଜକୁ ଓ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ରକ୍ଷା କର। BSB BSB: One of the criminals who hung there heaped abuse on Him. “Are You not the Christ?” he said. “Save Yourself and us!”
40 ULB କିନ୍ତୁ ଅନ୍ୟ ଜଣକ ତାହାକୁ ଧମକ ଦେଇ ଉତ୍ତର ଦେଲା, ତୁ ସମାନ ଦଣ୍ଡ ତ ପାଉଅଛୁ, ତୁ ଈଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କୁ କ'ଣ ଭୟ ମଧ୍ୟ କରୁ ନାହୁଁ? BSB BSB: But the other one rebuked him, saying, “Do you not even fear God, since you are under the same judgment?
41 ULB ଆଉ ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ସିନା ନ୍ୟାୟଭାବରେ ଦଣ୍ଡ ଭୋଗୁଅଛୁ, କାରଣ ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ନିଜ ନିଜ କର୍ମର ସମୁଚିତ ଫଳ ପାଉଅଛୁ, କିନ୍ତୁ ଏହି ବ୍ୟକ୍ତି କୌଣସି ଦୋଷ କରି ନାହାଁନ୍ତି। BSB BSB: We are punished justly, for we are receiving what our actions deserve. But this man has done nothing wrong.”
44 ULB ସେତେବେଳେ ପ୍ରାୟ ବାର ଘଣ୍ଟା ସମୟ ହୋଇଥିଲା, ଆଉ ସୂର୍ଯ୍ୟର କିରଣ ନିସ୍ତେଜ ହେବାରୁ ତିନି ଘଣ୍ଟା ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଦେଶଯାକ ଅନ୍ଧକାର ଘୋଟିଗଲା, BSB BSB: It was now about the sixth hour, and darkness came over all the land until the ninth hour.
45 ULB ପୁଣି, ମନ୍ଦିରର ବିଚ୍ଛେଦବସ୍ତ୍ର ମଝିରୁ ଚିରିଗଲା। BSB BSB: The sun was darkened, and the veil of the temple was torn down the middle.
46 ULB ଆଉ ଯୀଶୁ ଉଚ୍ଚସ୍ୱରରେ ଡାକି କହିଲେ, ହେ ପିତା, ତୁମ୍ଭ ହସ୍ତରେ ମୁଁ ଆପଣାର ଆତ୍ମା ସମର୍ପଣ କରୁଅଛି। ଏହା କହି ସେ ପ୍ରାଣତ୍ୟାଗ କଲେ। BSB BSB: Then Jesus called out in a loud voice, “Father, into Your hands I commit My Spirit.” And when He had said this, He breathed His last.
47 ULB ଶତସେନାପତି ଏହି ଘଟଣା ଦେଖି ଈଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ଗୌରବ କରି କହିଲେ, ନିଶ୍ଚୟ ଏ ବ୍ୟକ୍ତି ଧାର୍ମିକ ଥିଲେ। BSB BSB: When the centurion saw what had happened, he gave glory to God, saying, “Surely this was a righteous man.”
48 ULB ପୁଣି, ଯେଉଁ ଲୋକସମୂହ ଦେଖିବାକୁ ଏକତ୍ରିତ ହୋଇଥିଲେ, ସେମାନେ ସମସ୍ତେ ସେହି ସବୁ ଘଟଣା ଦେଖି ବକ୍ଷାଘାତ କରୁ କରୁ ବାହୁଡ଼ି ଯିବାକୁ ଲାଗିଲେ। BSB BSB: And when all the people who had gathered for this spectacle saw what had happened, they returned home beating their breasts.
49 ULB କିନ୍ତୁ ତାହାଙ୍କର ପରିଚିତ ସମସ୍ତେ ଓ ଗାଲିଲୀରୁ ଏକତ୍ର ମିଳି ତାହାଙ୍କ ପଛେ ପଛେ ଆସିଥିବା ସ୍ତ୍ରୀଲୋକମାନେ ଦୂରରେ ଠିଆ ହୋଇ ଏହି ସବୁ ଦେଖୁଥିଲେ। BSB BSB: But all those who knew Jesus, including the women who had followed Him from Galilee, stood at a distance watching these things.
50 ULB ଆଉ ଦେଖ, ଯିହୂଦୀମାନଙ୍କର ହାରାମାଥୀୟା ନଗରର ଯୋଷେଫ ନାମକ ଜଣେ ବ୍ୟକ୍ତି ମହାସଭାର ସଭ୍ୟ ଥିଲେ; ସେ ଜଣେ ଉତ୍ତମ ଓ ଧାର୍ମିକ ଲୋକ, BSB BSB: Now there was a Council member named Joseph, a good and righteous man,
51 ULB ଆଉ ସେମାନଙ୍କର ମନ୍ତ୍ରଣା ଓ କର୍ମରେ ସମ୍ମତ ହୋଇ ନ ଥିଲେ ପୁଣି, ଈଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ରାଜ୍ୟର ଅପେକ୍ଷାରେ ଥିଲେ। BSB BSB: who had not consented to their decision or action. He was from the Judean town of Arimathea and was waiting for the kingdom of God.
52 ULB ସେ ପୀଲାତଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଯାଇ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କ ଶରୀର ମାଗିଲେ, BSB BSB: He went to Pilate to ask for the body of Jesus.
