1 ULB ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੋਇਆ ਕਿ ਜਦੋਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਵਿਦਾ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਜਹਾਜ਼ ਖੋਲ੍ਹ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਤਾਂ ਸਿੱਧੇ ਰਾਹ ਕੋਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਏ ਅਤੇ ਦੂਜੇ ਦਿਨ ਰੋਦੁਸ ਨੂੰ, ਫਿਰ ਉੱਥੋਂ ਪਾਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ। BSB BSB: After we had torn ourselves away from them, we sailed directly to Cos, and the next day on to Rhodes, and from there to Patara.

4 ULB ਅਤੇ ਚੇਲਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਲੱਭ ਕੇ ਅਸੀਂ ਸੱਤ ਦਿਨ ਉੱਥੇ ਠਹਿਰੇ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ ਜੋ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਨੂੰ ਨਾ ਜਾ। BSB BSB: We sought out the disciples in Tyre and stayed with them seven days. Through the Spirit they kept telling Paul not to go up to Jerusalem.
5 ULB ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੋਇਆ ਕਿ ਜਦੋਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰੇ ਕਰ ਚੁੱਕੇ ਤਾਂ ਉੱਥੋਂ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਤੁਰ ਪਏ, ਉਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਨਗਰ ਦੇ ਬਾਹਰ ਤੱਕ ਸਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਆਏ ਅਤੇ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਦੇ ਕੰਢੇ ਤੇ ਗੋਡੇ ਟੇਕ ਕੇ ਅਸੀਂ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਕੀਤੀ। BSB BSB: But when our time there had ended, we set out on our journey. All the disciples, with their wives and children, accompanied us out of the city and knelt down on the beach to pray with us.
6 ULB ਅਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਦੂਜੇ ਤੋਂ ਵਿਦਿਆ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਅਸੀਂ ਜਹਾਜ਼ ਉੱਤੇ ਸਵਾਰ ਹੋਏ ਪਰ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਘਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਾਪਿਸ ਚਲੇ ਗਏ। BSB BSB: And after we had said our farewells, we went aboard the ship, and they returned home.
7 ULB ਅਸੀਂ ਸੂਰ ਤੋਂ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਦਾ ਸਫ਼ਰ ਖ਼ਤਮ ਕਰਕੇ, ਤੁਲਮਾਇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਹੁੰਚੇ ਅਤੇ ਭਰਾਵਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੁੱਖ-ਸਾਂਦ ਪੁੱਛ ਕੇ ਇੱਕ ਦਿਨ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਰਹੇ। BSB BSB: When we had finished our voyage from Tyre, we landed at Ptolemais, where we greeted the brothers and stayed with them for a day.
8 ULB ਫੇਰ ਅਗਲੇ ਦਿਨ ਅਸੀਂ ਤੁਰ ਕੇ ਕੈਸਰਿਯਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਏ ਅਤੇ ਫ਼ਿਲਿਪੁੱਸ ਖੁਸ਼ਖਬਰੀ ਦੇ ਪਰਚਾਰਕ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਰਹੇ। ਉਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸੱਤਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਸੀ। BSB BSB: Leaving the next day, we went on to Caesarea and stayed at the home of Philip the evangelist, who was one of the Seven.
9 ULB ਉਹ ਦੀਆਂ ਚਾਰ ਕੁਆਰੀਆਂ ਧੀਆਂ ਸਨ ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਅਗੰਮ ਵਾਕ ਕਰਦੀਆਂ ਸਨ। BSB BSB: He had four unmarried daughters who prophesied.
10 ULB ਜਦੋਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਕਈ ਦਿਨ ਉੱਥੇ ਠਹਿਰੇ ਤਾਂ ਆਗਬੁਸ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਨਬੀ ਯਹੂਦਿਯਾ ਤੋਂ ਆਇਆ। BSB BSB: After we had been there several days, a prophet named Agabus came down from Judea.
11 ULB ਉਹ ਨੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਕੋਲ ਆ ਕੇ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਦਾ ਕਮਰ ਪਟਕਾ ਚੁੱਕ ਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੱਥ-ਪੈਰ ਬੰਨ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਕਿਹਾ, ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਆਤਮਾ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਯਹੂਦੀ ਲੋਕ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਹ ਦਾ ਇਹ ਪਟਕਾ ਹੈ, ਇਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਬੰਨ੍ਹਣਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਾਈਆਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਹਵਾਲੇ ਕਰਨਗੇ। BSB BSB: Coming over to us, he took Paul’s belt, bound his own feet and hands, and said, “The Holy Spirit says: ‘In this way the Jews of Jerusalem will bind the owner of this belt and hand him over to the Gentiles.’”
12 ULB ਜਦੋਂ ਇਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਸੁਣੀਆਂ ਤਾਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਅਤੇ ਉੱਥੋਂ ਦੇ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਉਹ ਦੀ ਮਿੰਨਤ ਕੀਤੀ ਕਿ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਨੂੰ ਨਾ ਜਾਵੇ। BSB BSB: When we heard this, we and the people there pleaded with Paul not to go up to Jerusalem.
13 ULB ਤਦ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਨੇ ਉੱਤਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਇਹ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਕੀ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋ ਜੋ ਰੋਂਦੇ ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰਾ ਦਿਲ ਤੋੜਦੇ ਹੋ? ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਯਿਸੂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੇਵਲ ਬੰਨ੍ਹੇ ਜਾਣ ਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਗੋਂ ਮਰਨ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਤਿਆਰ ਹਾਂ। BSB BSB: Then Paul answered, “Why are you weeping and breaking my heart? I am ready not only to be bound, but also to die in Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus.”
14 ULB ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਨੇ ਨਾ ਮੰਨਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਇਹ ਕਹਿ ਕੇ ਚੁੱਪ ਰਹੇ ਕਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਮਰਜ਼ੀ ਪੂਰੀ ਹੋਵੇ। BSB BSB: When he would not be dissuaded, we quieted down and said, “The Lord’s will be done.”
15 ULB ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਅਸੀਂ ਤਿਆਰੀ ਕਰ ਕੇ, ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਨੂੰ ਤੁਰ ਪਏ। BSB BSB: After these days, we packed up and went on to Jerusalem.
16 ULB ਅਤੇ ਕੈਸਰਿਯਾ ਤੋਂ ਵੀ ਕਈ ਚੇਲੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਚੱਲੇ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਮਨਾਸੋਨ ਕੁਪਰੁਸੀ ਨਾਮ ਦੇ ਇੱਕ ਪੁਰਾਣੇ ਚੇਲੇ ਕੋਲ ਲੈ ਆਏ, ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਅਸੀਂ ਠਹਿਰਨਾ ਸੀ। BSB BSB: Some of the disciples from Caesarea accompanied us, and they took us to stay at the home of Mnason the Cypriot, an early disciple.
17 ULB ਜਦੋਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਆ ਪਹੁੰਚੇ ਤਾਂ ਭਰਾਵਾਂ ਨੇ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਡਾ ਸਵਾਗਤ ਕੀਤਾ। BSB BSB: When we arrived in Jerusalem, the brothers welcomed us joyfully.
18 ULB ਦੂਜੇ ਦਿਨ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਸਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਯਾਕੂਬ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗ ਉੱਥੇ ਹਾਜ਼ਰ ਸਨ। BSB BSB: The next day Paul went in with us to see James, and all the elders were present.

21 ULB ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੇਰੀ ਇਹ ਖ਼ਬਰ ਸੁਣੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਸਾਰੇ ਯਹੂਦੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਪਰਾਈਆਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਸਦੇ ਹਨ, ਇਹ ਸਿਖਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ ਕਿ ਮੂਸਾ ਨੂੰ ਤਿਆਗੋ ਅਤੇ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈਂ ਜੋ ਆਪਣਿਆਂ ਬਾਲਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੁੰਨਤ ਨਾ ਕਰਵਾਓ ਅਤੇ ਰੀਤਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਨਾ ਚੱਲੋ। BSB BSB: But they are under the impression that you teach all the Jews who live among the Gentiles to forsake Moses, telling them not to circumcise their children or observe our customs.
22 ULB ਸੋ ਹੁਣ ਕੀ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇ? ਉਹ ਜ਼ਰੂਰ ਸੁਣ ਲੈਣਗੇ ਜੋ ਤੂੰ ਆਇਆ ਹੈਂ। BSB BSB: What then should we do? They will certainly hear that you have come.
23 ULB ਇਸ ਲਈ ਤੂੰ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਰ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਦੱਸਦੇ ਹਾਂ। ਸਾਡੇ ਕੋਲ ਚਾਰ ਪੁਰਖ ਹਨ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮੰਨਤ ਮੰਨੀ ਹੈ। BSB BSB: Therefore do what we advise you. There are four men with us who have taken a vow.
24 ULB ਤੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਸ਼ੁੱਧ ਕਰ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਕੁੱਝ ਖ਼ਰਚ ਕਰ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਿਰ ਮੁਨਾਉਣ ਤਾਂ ਸਭ ਲੋਕ ਜਾਣਨਗੇ ਕਿ ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਵਿਖੇ ਅਸੀਂ ਸੁਣੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੱਚਾਈ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ, ਸਗੋਂ ਇਹ ਕੀ ਉਹ ਆਪ ਵੀ ਬਿਵਸਥਾ ਨੂੰ ਮੰਨ ਕੇ ਸਿੱਧੀ ਚਾਲ ਚੱਲਦਾ ਹੈ। BSB BSB: Take these men, purify yourself along with them, and pay their expenses so they can have their heads shaved. Then everyone will know that there is no truth to these rumors about you, but that you also live in obedience to the law.
25 ULB ਪਰ ਪਰਾਈਆਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਹੱਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ ਅਸੀਂ ਇਹ ਲਿਖ ਭੇਜਿਆ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਮੂਰਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਵੇ, ਲਹੂ, ਗਲ਼ ਘੁੱਟੇ ਹੋਏ ਦੇ ਮਾਸ ਅਤੇ ਹਰਾਮਕਾਰੀ ਤੋਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਬਚਾ ਕੇ ਰੱਖਣ। BSB BSB: As for the Gentile believers, we have written to them our decision that they must abstain from food sacrificed to idols, from blood, from the meat of strangled animals, and from sexual immorality.”
26 ULB ਤਦ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਾਲ ਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਦੂਜੇ ਦਿਨ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ੁੱਧ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਹੈਕਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ੁੱਧ ਹੋਣ ਦੇ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਪੂਰੇ ਹੋਣ ਦੀ ਖ਼ਬਰ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਗਿਆ, ਜਦੋਂ ਤੱਕ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਹਰੇਕ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਭੇਟ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਈ ਨਾ ਗਈ। BSB BSB: So the next day Paul took the men and purified himself along with them. Then he entered the temple to give notice of the date when their purification would be complete and the offering would be made for each of them.
27 ULB ਜਦ ਉਹ ਸੱਤ ਦਿਨ ਪੂਰੇ ਹੋਣ ਲੱਗੇ ਤਾਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਯਹੂਦੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਏਸ਼ੀਆ ਦੇ ਸਨ, ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਹੈਕਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਸਾਰੀ ਭੀੜ ਨੂੰ ਭੜਕਾਇਆ। BSB BSB: When the seven days were almost over, some Jews from the province of Asia saw Paul at the temple. They stirred up the whole crowd and seized him,
29 ULB ਇਸ ਲਈ ਜੋ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਤ੍ਰੋਫ਼ਿਮੁਸ ਅਫ਼ਸੀ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਦੇਖਿਆ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ੱਕ ਕੀਤਾ ਜੋ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਹੈਕਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਆਇਆ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ। BSB BSB: For they had previously seen Trophimus the Ephesian with him in the city, and they assumed that Paul had brought him into the temple.
30 ULB ਤਦ ਸਾਰੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੌਲ਼ਾ ਪਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਲੋਕ ਦੌੜ ਕੇ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਹੋਏ, ਉਹ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਨੂੰ ਫੜ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਹੈਕਲੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਲੈ ਆਏ ਅਤੇ ਝੱਟ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ੇ ਬੰਦ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ। BSB BSB: The whole city was stirred up, and the people rushed together. They seized Paul and dragged him out of the temple, and at once the gates were shut.
31 ULB ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਸੁੱਟਣ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ ਤਾਂ ਫੌਜ ਦੇ ਸਰਦਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਖ਼ਬਰ ਪਹੁੰਚੀ ਕਿ ਸਾਰੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਗਦੜ ਮੱਚ ਗਈ ਹੈ। BSB BSB: While they were trying to kill him, the commander of the Roman regiment received a report that all Jerusalem was in turmoil.
32 ULB ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਉਸੇ ਵੇਲੇ ਸਿਪਾਹੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਸੂਬੇਦਾਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵੱਲ ਦੌੜ ਪਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਲੋਕ ਸਰਦਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਸਿਪਾਹੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਹੱਟ ਗਏ। BSB BSB: Immediately he took some soldiers and centurions and ran down to the crowd. When the people saw the commander and the soldiers, they stopped beating Paul.
33 ULB ਤਦ ਸਰਦਾਰ ਨੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਆ ਕੇ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਫੜ ਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਦੋ ਸੰਗਲਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਬੰਨ੍ਹ ਲਓ ਅਤੇ ਪੁੱਛਿਆ ਜੋ ਇਹ ਕੌਣ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਨੇ ਕੀ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ? BSB BSB: The commander came up and arrested Paul, ordering that he be bound with two chains. Then he asked who he was and what he had done.
34 ULB ਤਦ ਭੀੜ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕਈ ਕੁੱਝ ਕਹਿਣ ਲੱਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਕਈ ਕੁੱਝ, ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਰੌਲ਼ੇ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਅਸਲੀ ਗੱਲ ਪਤਾ ਨਾ ਕਰ ਸਕਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੈ ਜਾਓ। BSB BSB: Some in the crowd were shouting one thing, and some another. And since the commander could not get at the truth because of the uproar, he ordered that Paul be brought into the barracks.
35 ULB ਅਤੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਪੌੜੀਆਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਪਹੁੰਚਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੋਇਆ ਜੋ ਹਿੰਸਕ ਭੀੜ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ, ਸਿਪਾਹੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਚੁੱਕ ਲਿਆ। BSB BSB: When Paul reached the steps, he had to be carried by the soldiers because of the violence of the mob.
