And the LORD delivered Cushan-rishathaim king of Aram into the hand of Othniel, who prevailed against him.
11 ULB ਤਦ ਚਾਲੀ ਸਾਲਾਂ ਤੱਕ ਉਸ ਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਰਹੀ, ਫਿਰ ਕਨਜ਼ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਆਥਨੀਏਲ ਮਰ ਗਿਆ। BSB BSB: So the land had rest for forty years, until Othniel son of Kenaz died.

So He gave Eglon king of Moab power over Israel, because they had done evil in the sight of the LORD.

14 ULB ਤਦ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀ ਅਠਾਰਾਂ ਸਾਲਾਂ ਤੱਕ ਮੋਆਬ ਦੇ ਰਾਜਾ ਅਗਲੋਨ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਟਹਿਲ ਕਰਦੇ ਰਹੇ। BSB BSB: The Israelites served Eglon king of Moab eighteen years.

So they sent him with tribute to Eglon king of Moab.
16 ULB ਏਹੂਦ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਹੱਥ ਲੰਮੀ ਦੋਧਾਰੀ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਬਣਵਾਈ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਕੱਪੜਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਹੇਠ ਸੱਜੇ ਪੱਟ ਨਾਲ ਬੰਨ੍ਹ ਲਿਆ। BSB BSB: Now Ehud had made for himself a double-edged sword a cubit long. He strapped it to his right thigh under his cloak
17 ULB ਤਦ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਨਜ਼ਰਾਨੇ ਨੂੰ ਮੋਆਬ ਦੇ ਰਾਜਾ ਕੋਲ ਲਿਆਇਆ। ਅਗਲੋਨ ਇੱਕ ਮੋਟੇ ਢਿੱਡ ਵਾਲਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸੀ। BSB BSB: and brought the tribute to Eglon king of Moab, who was an obese man.
18 ULB ਅਤੇ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਜਦ ਏਹੂਦ ਨੇ ਨਜ਼ਰਾਨਾ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਤਾਂ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਲੋਕ ਨਜ਼ਰਾਨਾ ਚੁੱਕ ਕੇ ਲਿਆਏ ਸਨ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਭੇਜ ਦਿੱਤਾ। BSB BSB: After Ehud had finished presenting the tribute, he ushered out those who had carried it.
19 ULB ਪਰ ਉਹ ਆਪ ਪੱਥਰ ਦੀ ਖਾਣ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਜੋ ਗਿਲਗਾਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈ, ਵਾਪਿਸ ਆਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਅਗਲੋਨ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, "ਹੇ ਮਹਾਰਾਜ, ਮੇਰੇ ਕੋਲ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਗੁਪਤ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਹੈ।" ਅਗਲੋਨ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, "ਥੋੜੀ ਦੇਰ ਲਈ ਬਾਹਰ ਜਾਉ।" ਤਦ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਆਲੇ-ਦੁਆਲੇ ਖੜ੍ਹੇ ਸਨ, ਸਭ ਬਾਹਰ ਨਿੱਕਲ ਗਏ। BSB BSB: But upon reaching the idols near Gilgal, he himself turned back and said, “I have a secret message for you, O king.” “Silence,” said the king, and all his attendants left him.
20 ULB ਤਦ ਏਹੂਦ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਆਇਆ, ਉਸ ਵੇਲੇ ਉਹ ਹਵਾਦਾਰ ਚੁਬਾਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਜੋ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਸੀ, ਬੈਠਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ। ਫਿਰ ਏਹੂਦ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, "ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਲਈ ਮੇਰੇ ਕੋਲ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਹੈ।" ਤਦ ਉਹ ਗੱਦੀ ਉੱਤੋਂ ਉੱਠ ਕੇ ਖੜ੍ਹਾ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ। BSB BSB: Then Ehud approached him while he was sitting alone in the coolness of his upper room. “I have a word from God for you,” Ehud said, and the king rose from his seat.
21 ULB ਤਦ ਏਹੂਦ ਨੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਖੱਬਾ ਹੱਥ ਵਧਾਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੱਜੇ ਪੱਟ ਉੱਤੋਂ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਫੜ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਢਿੱਡ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਘੁਸਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ। BSB BSB: And Ehud reached with his left hand, pulled the sword from his right thigh, and plunged it into Eglon’s belly.
22 ULB ਅਤੇ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਦਸਤਾ ਵੀ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਢਿੱਡ ਵਿੱਚ ਧਸ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਚਰਬੀ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਖੁੱਭ ਗਈ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਢਿੱਡ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੱਢਿਆ ਸਗੋਂ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਆਰ-ਪਾਰ ਨਿੱਕਲ ਗਈ ਅਤੇ ਚਰਬੀ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਢੱਕ ਲਿਆ। BSB BSB: Even the handle sank in after the blade, and Eglon’s fat closed in over it, so that Ehud did not withdraw the sword from his belly. And Eglon’s bowels emptied.
23 ULB ਤਦ ਏਹੂਦ ਨੇ ਬਾਹਰ ਵਿਹੜੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਆ ਕੇ ਚੁਬਾਰੇ ਦਾ ਦਰਵਾਜਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਬੰਦ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਤਾਲਾ ਲਗਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ। BSB BSB: Then Ehud went out through the porch, closing and locking the doors of the upper room behind him.
24 ULB ਜਦ ਉਹ ਨਿੱਕਲ ਗਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਅਗਲੋਨ ਦੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਆਏ ਅਤੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਚੁਬਾਰੇ ਦੇ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ੇ ਬੰਦ ਸਨ ਤਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, "ਉਹ ਹਵਾਦਾਰ ਚੁਬਾਰੇ ਦੀ ਅੰਦਰਲੀ ਕੋਠੜੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਖ਼ਾਨੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੈਠਾ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ।" BSB BSB: After Ehud was gone, Eglon’s servants came in and found the doors of the upper room locked. “He must be relieving himself in the cool room,” they said.

BSB BSB: So they waited until they became worried and saw that he had still not opened the doors of the upper room. Then they took the key and opened the doors—and there was their lord lying dead on the floor.

27 ULB ਫਿਰ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਕਿ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਉੱਥੇ ਪਹੁੰਚਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਇਫ਼ਰਾਈਮ ਦੇ ਪਹਾੜ ਉੱਤੇ ਤੁਰ੍ਹੀ ਵਜਾਈ ਤਾਂ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਨਾਲ ਪਹਾੜ ਤੋਂ ਉਤਰ ਆਏ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ-ਅੱਗੇ ਤੁਰਿਆ। BSB BSB: On arriving in Seirah, he blew the ram’s horn throughout the hill country of Ephraim. The Israelites came down with him from the hills, and he became their leader.
28 ULB ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, "ਮੇਰੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ-ਪਿੱਛੇ ਆਓ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਮੋਆਬੀ ਵੈਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਹੱਥ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।" ਤਦ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਉੱਤਰੇ ਅਤੇ ਯਰਦਨ ਦੇ ਕਿਨਾਰਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਜੋ ਮੋਆਬ ਦੀ ਵੱਲ ਸਨ, ਕਬਜ਼ਾ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਪਾਰ ਨਾ ਲੰਘਣ ਦਿੱਤਾ। BSB BSB: “Follow me,” he told them, “for the LORD has delivered your enemies the Moabites into your hand.” So they followed him down and seized the fords of the Jordan leading to Moab, and they did not allow anyone to cross over.
