1 ULB Finalmente, irmãos, nós vos pedimos e exortamos no Senhor Jesus que, assim como recebestes nossas instruções sobre como deveis andar e satisfazer a Deus, também neste caminho andai, para que façais ainda mais. BSB BSB: Finally, brothers, we ask and encourage you in the Lord Jesus to live in a way that is pleasing to God, just as you have received from us. This is how you already live, so you should do so all the more.
2 ULB Pois sabeis quais instruções vos demos através do Senhor Jesus. BSB BSB: For you know the instructions we gave you by the authority of the Lord Jesus.
3 ULB Esta é a vontade de Deus: a vossa santificação, que vos afasteis da imoralidade sexual, BSB BSB: For it is God’s will that you should be holy: You must abstain from sexual immorality;
4 ULB que cada um de vós saiba controlar seu próprio corpo de forma santa e honrosa, BSB BSB: each of you must know how to control his own body in holiness and honor,
5 ULB não conduzidos por paixão lasciva, como os gentios que não conhecem a Deus. BSB BSB: not in lustful passion like the Gentiles who do not know God;
6 ULB E que ninguém desrespeite ou lese a seu irmão nessa questão. Porque o Senhor é o vingador em todas essas coisas, como vos avisamos e testificamos. BSB BSB: and no one should ever violate or exploit his brother in this regard, because the Lord will avenge all such acts, as we have already told you and solemnly warned you.
7 ULB Porque Deus não nos chamou para a impureza, mas para a santidade. BSB BSB: For God has not called us to impurity, but to holiness.
8 ULB Portanto, quem rejeita isso não rejeita a pessoas, mas a Deus, que vos deu o Seu Espírito Santo. BSB BSB: Anyone, then, who rejects this command does not reject man but God, the very One who gives you His Holy Spirit.
9 ULB A respeito do amor fraternal, não necessitais que ninguém vos escreva, pois vós mesmos sois ensinados por Deus a amar uns aos outros. BSB BSB: Now about brotherly love, you do not need anyone to write to you, because you yourselves have been taught by God to love one another.
10 ULB De fato, fazeis isto com todos os irmãos que estão em toda Macedônia. Entretanto, nós vos exortamos, irmãos, a fazer isso ainda mais. BSB BSB: And you are indeed showing this love to all the brothers throughout Macedonia. But we urge you, brothers, to excel more and more
11 ULB Também vos exortamos a buscar viver pacificamente, cuidar das vossas coisas, e trabalhar com vossas mãos, como vos ordenamos; BSB BSB: and to aspire to live quietly, to attend to your own matters, and to work with your own hands, as we instructed you.
12 ULB assim, andareis corretamente diante daqueles que são de fora, e não necessitareis de coisa nenhuma. BSB BSB: Then you will behave properly toward outsiders, without being dependent on anyone.
14 ULB Porque, se acreditamos que Jesus morreu e ressuscitou, também Deus trará com Jesus aqueles que dormiram Nele. BSB BSB: For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, we also believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in Him.
15 ULB Pois isto vos falamos pela Palavra do Senhor, que nós que estamos vivos, esperando a vinda do Senhor, com certeza não precederemos aqueles que dormem. BSB BSB: By the word of the Lord, we declare to you that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who have fallen asleep.
17 ULB Depois, nós, os que estivermos vivos, os que permanecermos, seremos arrebatados juntamente com eles nas nuvens, para nos reunir com o Senhor nos ares. Desse modo, estaremos sempre com o Senhor. BSB BSB: After that, we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will always be with the Lord.
18 ULB Portanto, consolai uns aos outros com estas palavras. BSB BSB: Therefore encourage one another with these words.
