2 ULB que não vos perturbeis ou inquieteis facilmente, quer seja por espírito, por palavra ou por alguma carta que pareça ter sido enviada por nós, como se o Dia do Senhor já tenha chegado. BSB BSB: not to be easily disconcerted or alarmed by any spirit or message or letter seeming to be from us, alleging that the Day of the Lord has already come.
3 ULB Ninguém vos engane de modo algum. Porque isso não acontecerá até que venha a apostasia e o homem da iniquidade seja revelado, o filho da destruição. BSB BSB: Let no one deceive you in any way, for it will not come until the rebellion occurs and the man of lawlessness—the son of destruction—is revealed.
4 ULB Esse é o que exalta a si mesmo e se opõe contra tudo que é chamado Deus ou que é adorado. Como resultado, ele assenta-se no templo de Deus e apresenta a si mesmo como Deus. 8 ULB Então o ímpio será revelado, a quem o Senhor Jesus destruirá com o sopro da Sua boca. O Senhor o eliminará pela manifestação da Sua vinda. BSB BSB: And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will slay with the breath of His mouth and annihilate by the majesty of His arrival.
9 ULB A vinda do ímpio será devido à ação de Satanás com todo poder, sinais, e falsas maravilhas, BSB BSB: The coming of the lawless one will be accompanied by the working of Satan, with every kind of power, sign, and false wonder,
10 ULB e com todo o engano de injustiça para aqueles que estão perecendo, porque eles não receberam o amor da verdade a fim de serem salvos. BSB BSB: and with every wicked deception directed against those who are perishing, because they refused the love of the truth that would have saved them.
11 ULB Por esta razão Deus está enviando-lhes a atuação do engano para que creiam na mentira BSB BSB: For this reason God will send them a powerful delusion so that they believe the lie,
12 ULB e sejam todos julgados, aqueles que não acreditaram na verdade, mas tiveram prazer na injustiça. BSB BSB: in order that judgment may come upon all who have disbelieved the truth and delighted in wickedness.
13 ULB Mas nós devemos sempre dar graças a Deus por vós, irmãos amados pelo Senhor, porque Deus vos escolheu como primeiros frutos para salvação na santificação do Espírito e fé na verdade. BSB BSB: But we should always thank God for you, brothers who are loved by the Lord, because God chose you from the beginning to be saved by the sanctification of the Spirit and by faith in the truth.
14 ULB Porque Ele vos chamou através do nosso Evangelho para obter a glória do nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo. BSB BSB: To this He called you through our gospel, so that you may share in the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.
16 ULB Agora, pois, o próprio Senhor Jesus Cristo, e Deus, nosso Pai, que nos amou e nos deu eterno consolo e boa esperança para o futuro através da graça, BSB BSB: Now may our Lord Jesus Christ Himself and God our Father, who by grace has loved us and given us eternal comfort and good hope,
17 ULB confortem e estabeleçam vossos corações em toda boa ação e palavra. BSB BSB: encourage your hearts and strengthen you in every good word and deed.
