2 ULB Prega a Palavra, insiste, quando isso for conveniente e quando não for. Reprova, repreende, exorta com toda paciência e ensino. BSB BSB: Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and encourage with every form of patient instruction.
3 ULB Pois o tempo chegará em que as pessoas não suportarão a sã doutrina. Em vez disso, elas ajuntarão para si mestres conforme suas próprias cobiças. Isso será tão agradável aos seus ouvidos, BSB BSB: For the time will come when men will not tolerate sound doctrine, but with itching ears they will gather around themselves teachers to suit their own desires.
4 ULB que se afastarão da verdade e se voltarão para os mitos. BSB BSB: So they will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.
5 ULB Tu, porém, sê sóbrio em todas as coisas, sofre as aflições, faz o trabalho de um evangelista, cumpre o teu ministério. BSB BSB: But you, be sober in all things, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.
7 ULB Combati o bom combate, terminei a corrida, guardei a fé. BSB BSB: I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.
8 ULB A coroa de justiça me foi reservada, aquela que o Senhor, o justo Juiz, me dará naquele dia; e não só para mim, mas também para todos aqueles que amam a Sua vinda. BSB BSB: From now on there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but to all who crave His appearing.
9 ULB Faz o teu melhor para vires a mim rapidamente, BSB BSB: Make every effort to come to me quickly,
10 ULB pois Demas me abandonou. Tendo ele amado este presente mundo, partiu para Tessalônica. Crescente foi para Galácia, e Tito foi para Dalmácia. BSB BSB: because Demas, in his love of this world, has deserted me and gone to Thessalonica. Crescens has gone to Galatia, and Titus to Dalmatia.

14 ULB Alexandre, aquele que trabalha com metais, fez muitos males contra mim. O Senhor irá retribuí-lo de acordo com suas ações. BSB BSB: Alexander the coppersmith did great harm to me. The Lord will repay him according to his deeds.
15 ULB Tu também deves proteger-te dele, porque ele resistiu fortemente às nossas palavras. BSB BSB: You too should beware of him, for he has vigorously opposed our message.
16 ULB Na minha primeira defesa, ninguém permaneceu comigo, mas todos me abandonaram. Que isso não seja considerado contra eles. BSB BSB: At my first defense, no one stood with me, but everyone deserted me. May it not be charged against them.
17 ULB Mas o Senhor permaneceu do meu lado e me fortaleceu, para que a proclamação fosse totalmente cumprida por mim, e para que todos os gentios pudessem ouvi-la. E eu fui resgatado da boca do leão. BSB BSB: But the Lord stood by me and strengthened me, so that through me the message would be fully proclaimed, and all the Gentiles would hear it. So I was delivered from the mouth of the lion.
18 ULB O Senhor me libertará de toda ação maligna e me salvará para o Seu reino celestial. A Ele seja a glória para todo o sempre. Amém. BSB BSB: And the Lord will rescue me from every evil action and bring me safely into His heavenly kingdom. To Him be the glory forever and ever. Amen.
