4 ULB Anda após Yahweh, teu Deus, honra-O, guarda os Seus mandamentos, obedece a Sua voz, adora-O e apega-te a Ele. BSB BSB: You are to follow the LORD your God and fear Him. Keep His commandments and listen to His voice; serve Him and hold fast to Him.
5 ULB Esse profeta ou esse adivinhador de sonhos deverá morrer, pois pregou rebelião contra Yahweh, teu Deus, que te tirou da terra do Egito, e que te resgatou da casa da escravidão. Esse profeta quer afastar-te do caminho pelo qual Yahweh, teu Deus, te ordenou andar. Assim, tira o mal do meio de ti. BSB BSB: Such a prophet or dreamer must be put to death, because he has advocated rebellion against the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt and redeemed you from the house of slavery; he has tried to turn you from the way in which the LORD your God has commanded you to walk. 11 ULB Todo povo de Israel ouvirá e temerá, e não continuará a cometer esse tipo de maldade no meio de ti. BSB BSB: Then all Israel will hear and be afraid, and will never again do such a wicked thing among you.
12 ULB Se ouvires alguém dizer que, em alguma das cidades que Yahweh, teu Deus, te dá para viver, BSB BSB: If, regarding one of the cities the LORD your God is giving you to inhabit, you hear it said
13 ULB surgiram no meio de ti alguns homens perversos que incitaram os habitantes de tua cidade, dizendo: 'Vamos adorar outros deuses que tu não conheces'. BSB BSB: that wicked men have arisen from among you and have led the people of their city astray, saying, “Let us go and serve other gods” (which you have not known),
14 ULB Então, examinarás as evidências, farás uma averiguação, investigando isso cuidadosamente. Se for verdade e comprovado que alguma coisa abominável foi feita no meio de vós, então, agirás. BSB BSB: then you must inquire, investigate, and interrogate thoroughly. And if it is established with certainty that this abomination has been committed among you,
15 ULB Tu certamente atacarás os habitantes daquela cidade ao fio da espada, destruindo-a completamente e todo o povo que vive lá, juntamente com seus animais. BSB BSB: you must surely put the inhabitants of that city to the sword. Devote to destruction all its people and livestock.
16 ULB Tu ajuntarás todo o despojo deles no meio da rua e queimarás a cidade, bem como todo o seu despojo para Yahweh, teu Deus. A cidade será um monte ruínas para sempre; ela não deverá jamais ser reconstruída. BSB BSB: And you are to gather all its plunder in the middle of the public square, and completely burn the city and all its plunder as a whole burnt offering to the LORD your God. The city must remain a mound of ruins forever, never to be rebuilt.

BSB BSB: because you obey the LORD your God, keeping all His commandments I am giving you today and doing what is right in the eyes of the LORD your God.
