5 GLT Но не многими из них Бог был доволен, потому и низложены были в пустыне. BSB BSB: Nevertheless, God was not pleased with most of them, for they were struck down in the wilderness.

7 GLT И не будьте идолопоклонниками, подобно как некоторые из них. Как и написано:“Народ сел, чтобы есть и пить, и встал, чтобы играть”. BSB BSB: Do not be idolaters, as some of them were. As it is written: “The people sat down to eat and drink and got up to indulge in revelry.”

10 GLT И не ропщите, подобно как некоторые из них роптали и погибли от губителя. BSB BSB: And do not complain, as some of them did, and were killed by the destroying angel.
11 GLT Происходило же это с теми, как прообраз, и написано к вразумлению нашему, к которым пришёл конец веков. BSB BSB: Now these things happened to them as examples and were written down as warnings for us, on whom the fulfillment of the ages has come.
12 GLT Поэтому думающий, что он стоит, смотри, чтобы не упасть. BSB BSB: So the one who thinks he is standing firm should be careful not to fall.
13 GLT Искушение вас не постигло, разве только человеческое. Верен же Бог, Который не допустит вам быть искушёнными сверх того, что вы можете. Но при искушении создаст и выход, чтобы вы могли перенести. BSB BSB: No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, He will also provide an escape, so that you can stand up under it.
14 GLT Поэтому, мои любимые, убегайте от служения идолам. BSB BSB: Therefore, my beloved, flee from idolatry.
15 GLT Говорю как разумным; вы рассудите, что говорю. BSB BSB: I speak to reasonable people; judge for yourselves what I say.
16 GLT Разве чаша благословения, которую благословляем, не является приобщением к Крови Христа? Разве хлеб, который преломляем, не является приобщением к Телу Христа? BSB BSB: Is not the cup of blessing that we bless a participation in the blood of Christ? And is not the bread that we break a participation in the body of Christ?
17 GLT Потому что один хлеб, одним телом являемся и мы многие, потому что все причащаемся от одного хлеба. BSB BSB: Because there is one loaf, we who are many are one body; for we all partake of the one loaf.
18 GLT Посмотрите на Израиль по плоти: разве едущие жертвы, не являются причастниками жертвенника? BSB BSB: Consider the people of Israel: Are not those who eat the sacrifices fellow partakers in the altar?
19 GLT Итак, что я говорю? Что идоложертвенное является чем- нибудь или, что идол является чем- нибудь? BSB BSB: Am I suggesting, then, that food sacrificed to an idol is anything, or that an idol is anything?

23 GLT Всё можно, но не всё приносит пользу. Всё можно, но не всё созидает. BSB BSB: “Everything is permissible,” but not everything is beneficial. “Everything is permissible,” but not everything is edifying.
24 GLT Никто пусть не ищет то, что своё, но то, что ближнего. BSB BSB: No one should seek his own good, but the good of others.
25 GLT Всё продающееся на рынке ешьте, ради совести ничего не исследуя, BSB BSB: Eat anything sold in the meat market without raising questions of conscience,
26 GLT потому что Господня земля и её наполненность. BSB BSB: for, “The earth is the Lord’s, and the fullness thereof.”
27 GLT Если кто неверующий позовёт вас, и вы захотите пойти, то ешьте всё, предлагаемое вам, ради совести ничего не исследуя. BSB BSB: If an unbeliever invites you to a meal and you want to go, eat anything set before you without raising questions of conscience.
28 GLT Но если вам кто- то скажет:" Это есть жертва идолу", то не ешьте, ради того самого объявившего, и ради совести. BSB BSB: But if someone tells you, “This food was offered to idols,” then do not eat it, for the sake of the one who told you and for the sake of conscience—
29 GLT Совесть же, говорю, не которая своя, но, которая другого! Ведь зачем, чтобы моя свобода была судима чужой совестью? BSB BSB: the other one’s conscience, I mean, not your own. For why should my freedom be determined by someone else’s conscience?
30 GLT Если я причащаюсь с благодарением, зачем ругать меня за то, что я благодарю? BSB BSB: If I partake in the meal with thankfulness, why am I denounced because of that for which I give thanks?
31 GLT Итак, едите ли, пьёте ли, что- либо делаете ли, всё делайте во славу Бога. BSB BSB: So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all to the glory of God.
32 GLT Не будьте преткновением ни иудеям, ни эллинам, ни Божьей церкви, BSB BSB: Do not become a stumbling block, whether to Jews or Greeks or the church of God—
33 GLT так как и я угождаю всем во всём, не ища пользы своей, но многих, чтобы были спасены. BSB BSB: as I also try to please everyone in all I do. For I am not seeking my own good, but the good of many, that they may be saved.
