1 GLT And Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying, BSB BSB: Then the LORD said to Moses,
2 GLT “Take Aaron and his sons with him, and the garments, and the oil of anointing, and the bull of the sin offering, and two rams, and a basket of unleavened bread. BSB BSB: “Take Aaron and his sons, their garments, the anointing oil, the bull of the sin offering, the two rams, and the basket of unleavened bread,
3 GLT And bring together all the assembly at the entrance of the tent of meeting.” BSB BSB: and assemble the whole congregation at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting.”
4 GLT And Moses did as Yahweh commanded him, and the assembly came together at the entrance of the tent of meeting. BSB BSB: So Moses did as the LORD had commanded him, and the assembly gathered at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting.
5 GLT And Moses said to the assembly,“This is the thing that Yahweh has commanded to be done.” BSB BSB: And Moses said to them, “This is what the LORD has commanded to be done.”
6 GLT Moses brought near Aaron and his sons and washed them with water. BSB BSB: Then Moses presented Aaron and his sons and washed them with water.
7 GLT And he put the tunic on him, and girded him with the sash, and clothed him with the robe, and put the ephod on him. And he girded him with the finely- woven waistband of the ephod and bound it on him. BSB BSB: He put the tunic on Aaron, tied the sash around him, clothed him with the robe, and put the ephod on him. He tied the woven band of the ephod around him and fastened it to him.
8 GLT And he placed the breastpiece on him, and in the breastpiece he put the Urim and the Thummim. BSB BSB: Then he put the breastpiece on him and placed the Urim and Thummim in the breastpiece.
9 GLT And he set the turban on his head and he set on the turban— on the front of its face— the golden rosette, the holy crown, as Yahweh had commanded Moses. BSB BSB: Moses also put the turban on Aaron’s head and set the gold plate, the holy diadem, on the front of the turban, as the LORD had commanded him.
10 GLT And Moses took the anointing oil and anointed the tabernacle and all that was in it. And he set them apart. BSB BSB: Next, Moses took the anointing oil and anointed the tabernacle and everything in it; and so he consecrated them.
11 GLT And he sprinkled some of it on the altar seven times, and anointed the altar and all its utensils, and the washbasin and its base, to set them apart. BSB BSB: He sprinkled some of the oil on the altar seven times, anointing the altar and all its utensils, and the basin with its stand, to consecrate them.
12 GLT And he poured some of the anointing oil on the head of Aaron and anointed him to set him apart. BSB BSB: He also poured some of the anointing oil on Aaron’s head and anointed him to consecrate him.
13 GLT And Moses brought near the sons of Aaron and clothed them with tunics, and girded them with sashes, and bound headbands on them, as Yahweh had commanded Moses. BSB BSB: Then Moses presented Aaron’s sons, put tunics on them, wrapped sashes around them, and tied headbands on them, just as the LORD had commanded him.
14 GLT And Moses brought the bull of the sin offering. And Aaron and his sons laid their hands on the head of the bull of the sin offering. BSB BSB: Moses then brought the bull near for the sin offering, and Aaron and his sons laid their hands on its head.
15 GLT And Moses slaughtered it, and he took the blood and put it all around on the horns of the altar with his finger. And he purified the altar and poured out the blood at the base of the altar. And he set it apart to make atonement upon it. BSB BSB: Moses slaughtered the bull, took some of the blood, and applied it with his finger to all four horns of the altar, purifying the altar. He poured out the rest of the blood at the base of the altar and consecrated it so that atonement could be made on it.
16 GLT And he took all the fat that was on the inner parts, the lobe of the liver, and the two kidneys and their fat, and Moses burned it on the altar. BSB BSB: Moses also took all the fat that was on the entrails, the lobe of the liver, and both kidneys and their fat, and burned it all on the altar.
17 GLT And the bull and its hide and its flesh and its dung he burned in the fire outside the camp, as Yahweh had commanded him. BSB BSB: But the bull with its hide, flesh, and dung he burned outside the camp, as the LORD had commanded him.
18 GLT And he brought near the ram of the burnt offering. And Aaron and his sons laid their hands on the head of the ram. BSB BSB: Then Moses presented the ram for the burnt offering, and Aaron and his sons laid their hands on its head.
19 GLT And Moses slaughtered it and sprinkled the blood against every side of the altar. BSB BSB: Moses slaughtered the ram and splattered the blood on all sides of the altar.
20 GLT And Moses cut the ram into its pieces and burned the head and the pieces and the suet. BSB BSB: He cut the ram into pieces and burned the head, the pieces, and the fat.
21 GLT And the inner parts and the legs he washed with water. And Moses burned all of the ram on the altar. It was a burnt offering, a sweet aroma. It was an offering made by fire to Yahweh as Yahweh had commanded Moses. BSB BSB: He washed the entrails and legs with water and burned the entire ram on the altar as a burnt offering, a pleasing aroma, a food offering to the LORD, just as the LORD had commanded Moses.
22 GLT And he brought near the second ram, the ram of consecration. And Aaron and his sons laid their hands on the head of the ram. BSB BSB: After that, Moses presented the other ram, the ram of ordination, and Aaron and his sons laid their hands on its head.
23 GLT And Moses slaughtered it and took some of its blood and put it on the tip of Aaron’ s right ear, and on the thumb of his right hand, and on the big toe of his right foot. BSB BSB: Moses slaughtered the ram and took some of its blood and put it on Aaron’s right earlobe, on the thumb of his right hand, and on the big toe of his right foot.
24 GLT And he brought near the sons of Aaron. And Moses put some of the blood on the tip of their right ear, and on the thumb of their right hand, and on the big toe of their right foot. And Moses sprinkled the blood against every side of the altar. BSB BSB: Moses also presented Aaron’s sons and put some of the blood on their right earlobes, on the thumbs of their right hands, and on the big toes of their right feet. Then he splattered the blood on all sides of the altar.
25 GLT And he took the fat, and the fat tail, and all the fat that was on the inner parts, and the lobe of the liver, and the two kidneys and their fat, and the right thigh. BSB BSB: And Moses took the fat—the fat tail, all the fat that was on the entrails, the lobe of the liver, and both kidneys with their fat—as well as the right thigh.
26 GLT And from the basket of bread without yeast that was before the face of Yahweh he took one cake without yeast, and one cake of oiled bread, and one wafer, and placed them on the fat and on the right thigh. BSB BSB: And from the basket of unleavened bread that was before the LORD, he took one cake of unleavened bread, one cake of bread made with oil, and one wafer, and he placed them on the fat portions and on the right thigh.
27 GLT And he put it all in the hands of Aaron and in the hands of his sons and waved them before the face of Yahweh as a wave offering. BSB BSB: He put all these in the hands of Aaron and his sons and waved them before the LORD as a wave offering.
28 GLT And Moses took them from off their hands and burned them on the altar for the burnt offering. They were a consecration offering, a sweet aroma. It was an offering made by fire to Yahweh. BSB BSB: Then Moses took these from their hands and burned them on the altar with the burnt offering. This was an ordination offering, a pleasing aroma, a food offering to the LORD.
29 GLT And Moses took the breast and waved it as a wave offering to the face of Yahweh. It was the share for Moses from the ram of consecration, as Yahweh had commanded Moses. BSB BSB: He also took the breast—Moses’ portion of the ram of ordination—and waved it before the LORD as a wave offering, as the LORD had commanded him.
30 GLT And Moses took some of the oil of anointing and some of the blood that was on the altar and he sprinkled these on Aaron, on his clothes, and on his sons, and on the clothes of his sons with him. And he set apart Aaron, his clothes, and his sons and the clothes of his sons with him. BSB BSB: Next, Moses took some of the anointing oil and some of the blood that was on the altar and sprinkled them on Aaron and his garments, and on his sons and their garments. So he consecrated Aaron and his garments, as well as Aaron’s sons and their garments.
31 GLT And Moses said to Aaron and to his sons,“Boil the meat at the entrance of the tent of meeting, and there you will eat it and the bread that is in the basket of consecration, as I commanded, saying,‘Aaron and his sons will eat it.’ BSB BSB: And Moses said to Aaron and his sons, “Boil the meat at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting and eat it there with the bread that is in the basket of ordination offerings, as I commanded, saying, ‘Aaron and his sons are to eat it.’
32 GLT And what is left of the meat and of the bread you must burn in the fire. BSB BSB: Then you must burn up the remainder of the meat and bread.
33 GLT And you must not go out from the entrance of the tent of meeting for seven days, until the day of the fulfillment of the days of your consecration, because for seven days he will fill your hands. BSB BSB: You must not go outside the entrance to the Tent of Meeting for seven days, until the days of your ordination are complete; for it will take seven days to ordain you.
34 GLT As has been done this day, Yahweh has commanded to be done to make atonement for you. BSB BSB: What has been done today has been commanded by the LORD in order to make atonement on your behalf.
35 GLT And at the entrance of the tent of meeting you will stay day and night for seven days. And you will keep the command of Yahweh, and you will not die, because this is what I have been commanded.” BSB BSB: You must remain at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting day and night for seven days and keep the LORD’s charge so that you will not die, for this is what I have been commanded.”
36 GLT And Aaron and his sons did all the things which Yahweh had commanded by the hand of Moses. BSB BSB: So Aaron and his sons did everything the LORD had commanded through Moses.
