1 GLT And Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying, BSB BSB: Then the LORD said to Moses,
2 GLT “Command the sons of Israel and say to them,‘When you enter into the land of Canaan, this is the land that has fallen to you as an inheritance, the land of Canaan and its borders, BSB BSB: “Command the Israelites and say to them: When you enter the land of Canaan, it will be allotted to you as an inheritance with these boundaries:
3 GLT and the corner of the south will be for you from the wilderness of Zin beside the hands of Edom. And the border of the south will be for you from the end of the Sea of Salt eastward. BSB BSB: Your southern border will extend from the Wilderness of Zin along the border of Edom. On the east, your southern border will run from the end of the Salt Sea,
4 GLT And the border will turn for you from the south to the ascent of Akrabbim and cross over to Zin, and its outer limits will be from the south to Kadesh Barnea, and it will go out to Hazar Addar and cross over to Azmon. BSB BSB: cross south of the Ascent of Akrabbim, continue to Zin, and go south of Kadesh-barnea. Then it will go on to Hazar-addar and proceed to Azmon,
5 GLT And the border will turn from Azmon toward the wadi of Egypt, and its outer limits will be to the sea. BSB BSB: where it will turn from Azmon, join the Brook of Egypt, and end at the Sea.
6 GLT And the border of the west, it will be for you the Great Sea and the border. This will be for you the border of the west. BSB BSB: Your western border will be the coastline of the Great Sea; this will be your boundary on the west.
7 GLT And this will be for you the border of the north, from the Great Sea you shall mark out for you to Mount Hor. BSB BSB: Your northern border will run from the Great Sea directly to Mount Hor,
8 GLT From Mount Hor you shall mark out to Lebo Hamath, and the outer limits of the border will be to Zedad. BSB BSB: and from Mount Hor to Lebo-hamath, then extend to Zedad,
9 GLT And the border will go out to Ziphron and its outer limits will be at Hazar Enan. This will be for you the border of the north. BSB BSB: continue to Ziphron, and end at Hazar-enan. This will be your boundary on the north.
10 GLT And you shall mark out for you the border to the east from Hazar Enan to Shepham. BSB BSB: And your eastern border will run straight from Hazar-enan to Shepham,
11 GLT And the border will go down from Shepham to Riblah, from east of Ain. And the border will go down and strike on the shoulder of the Sea of Kinnereth eastward. BSB BSB: then go down from Shepham to Riblah on the east side of Ain and continue along the slopes east of the Sea of Chinnereth.
12 GLT And the border will go down to the Jordan and its outer limits will be the Sea of Salt. This will be for you the land according to its borders all around.’” BSB BSB: Then the border will go down along the Jordan and end at the Salt Sea. This will be your land, defined by its borders on all sides.”
13 GLT And Moses commanded the sons of Israel, saying,“This is the land, it which you will inherit for yourselves by lot, which Yahweh has commanded to give to the nine tribes and to the half of the tribe. BSB BSB: So Moses commanded the Israelites, “Apportion this land by lot as an inheritance. The LORD has commanded that it be given to the nine and a half tribes.
14 GLT For the tribe of the sons of the Reubenites according to the house of their fathers and the tribe of the sons of the Gadites according to the house of their fathers have taken, and the half of the tribe of Manasseh has taken their inheritance. BSB BSB: For the tribes of the Reubenites and Gadites, along with the half-tribe of Manasseh, have already received their inheritance.
15 GLT The two tribes and the half of the tribe have taken their inheritance from beyond the Jordan at Jericho eastward, toward the sunrise.” BSB BSB: These two and a half tribes have received their inheritance across the Jordan from Jericho, toward the sunrise.”
16 GLT And Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying, BSB BSB: Then the LORD said to Moses,
17 GLT “These are the names of the men who will divide the land for you as an inheritance: Eleazar the priest and Joshua the son of Nun. BSB BSB: “These are the names of the men who are to assign the land as an inheritance for you: Eleazar the priest and Joshua son of Nun.
18 GLT And you shall take one leader, one leader from a tribe to divide the land as an inheritance. BSB BSB: Appoint one leader from each tribe to distribute the land.
19 GLT And these are the names of the men: of the tribe of Judah, Caleb the son of Jephunneh; BSB BSB: These are their names: Caleb son of Jephunneh from the tribe of Judah;
20 GLT and of the tribe of the sons of Simeon, Shemuel the son of Ammihud; BSB BSB: Shemuel son of Ammihud from the tribe of Simeon;
21 GLT of the tribe of Benjamin, Elidad the son of Kislon; BSB BSB: Elidad son of Chislon from the tribe of Benjamin;
22 GLT and of the tribe of the sons of Dan a leader, Bukki the son of Jogli; BSB BSB: Bukki son of Jogli, a leader from the tribe of Dan;
23 GLT of the sons of Joseph, of the tribe of the sons of Manasseh a leader, Hanniel the son of Ephod; BSB BSB: Hanniel son of Ephod, a leader from the tribe of Manasseh son of Joseph;
24 GLT and of the tribe of the sons of Ephraim a leader, Kemuel the son of Shiphtan; BSB BSB: Kemuel son of Shiphtan, a leader from the tribe of Ephraim;
25 GLT and of the tribe of the sons of Zebulun a leader, Elizaphan the son of Parnak; BSB BSB: Eli-zaphan son of Parnach, a leader from the tribe of Zebulun;
26 GLT and of the tribe of the sons of Issachar a leader, Paltiel the son of Azzan; BSB BSB: Paltiel son of Azzan, a leader from the tribe of Issachar;
27 GLT and of the tribe of the sons of Asher a leader, Ahihud the son of Shelomi; BSB BSB: Ahihud son of Shelomi, a leader from the tribe of Asher;
28 GLT and of the tribe of the sons of Naphtali a leader, Pedahel the son of Ammihud.” BSB BSB: and Pedahel son of Ammihud, a leader from the tribe of Naphtali.”
29 GLT These are whom Yahweh commanded to divide an inheritance for the sons of Israel in the land of Canaan. BSB BSB: These are the ones whom the LORD commanded to apportion the inheritance to the Israelites in the land of Canaan.
