1Мои дети! Пишу вам это, чтобы вы не грешили. Но если кто и согрешит, то мы имеем заступника перед Отцом— Праведника Иисуса Христа.My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you will not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate before the Father—Jesus Christ, the Righteous One.

2Он— примирительная жертва за наши грехи, и не только за наши, но и за грехи всего мира.He Himself is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world.

3А то, что мы знаем Его, узнаём из того, что соблюдаем Его заповеди.By this we can be sure that we have come to know Him: if we keep His commandments.

4Кто говорит «я знаю Его», но не соблюдает Его заповеди, тот лжец, и нет в нём истины.If anyone says, “I know Him,” but does not keep His commandments, he is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

5А кто соблюдает Его Слово, в том действительно Божья любовь достигла совершенства— поэтому мы знаем, что мы в Нём.But if anyone keeps His word, the love of God has been truly perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him:

6Кто говорит, что находится в Нём, тот должен поступать так, как Он поступал.Whoever claims to abide in Him must walk as Jesus walked.

7Мои любимые! Пишу вам не новую заповедь, но древнюю заповедь, которая была от самого начала. Древняя заповедь— это Слово, которое вы слышали от самого начала.Beloved, I am not writing to you a new commandment, but an old one, which you have had from the beginning. This commandment is the message you have heard.

8Также пишу вам новую заповедь. Её истина находится как в Нём, так и в вас, потому что тьма проходит и истинный свет уже светит.Then again, I am also writing to you a new commandment, which is true in Him and also in you. For the darkness is fading and the true light is already shining.

9Кто говорит, что он во свете, а ненавидит своего брата, тот ещё во тьме.If anyone claims to be in the light but hates his brother, he is still in the darkness.

10Кто любит своего брата, тот находится во свете и в нём нет преткновения.Whoever loves his brother remains in the light, and there is no cause of stumbling in him.

11А кто ненавидит своего брата, тот находится во тьме, во тьме ходит и не знает, куда идёт, потому что тьма ослепила ему глаза.But whoever hates his brother is in the darkness and walks in the darkness. He does not know where he is going, because the darkness has blinded his eyes.

12Дети, пишу вам, потому что вам прощены грехи ради Его имени.I am writing to you, little children, because your sins have been forgiven through His name.

13Отцы, пишу вам, потому что вы узнали Того, Кто существует от начала. Юноши, пишу вам, потому что вы победили лукавого. Дети, пишу вам, потому что вы узнали Отца.I am writing to you, fathers, because you know Him who is from the beginning. I am writing to you, young men, because you have overcome the evil one. I have written to you, children, because you know the Father.

14Отцы, я написал вам, потому что вы узнали Того, Кто был от начала. Юноши, я написал вам, потому что вы сильны, Божье Слово находится в вас, и вы победили лукавого.I have written to you, fathers, because you know Him who is from the beginning. I have written to you, young men, because you are strong, and the word of God abides in you, and you have overcome the evil one.

15Не любите этот мир и то, что в нём. Кто любит этот мир, в том нет любви Отца.Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

16Ведь всё, что в этом мире: влечение греховной природы, влечение глаз и то, чем люди гордятся в этой жизни— не от Отца, но от этого мира.For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh, the desires of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not from the Father but from the world.

17Мир с его влечением проходит, а тот, кто исполняет Божью волю, живёт вечно.The world is passing away, along with its desires; but whoever does the will of God remains forever.

18Дети, наступило последнее время. Мы понимаем, что это последнее время, потому что вы слышали, что придёт антихрист, и потому что уже появилось множество антихристов.Children, it is the last hour; and just as you have heard that the antichrist is coming, so now many antichrists have appeared. This is how we know it is the last hour.

19Они вышли от нас, но не были нашими: если бы они были нашими, то остались бы с нами. Но то, что они ушли от нас, показывает, что не все наши.They went out from us, but they did not belong to us. For if they had belonged to us, they would have remained with us. But their departure made it clear that none of them belonged to us.

20Впрочем, вы имеете помазание от Святого и всё знаете.You, however, have an anointing from the Holy One, and all of you know the truth.

21Я написал вам не потому, что вы не знаете истину, но потому, что вы знаете её и также знаете, что любая ложь не от истины.I have not written to you because you lack knowledge of the truth, but because you have it, and because no lie comes from the truth.

22Кто лжец? Разве не тот, кто отвергает, что Иисус— это Христос? Это антихрист, который отвергает Отца и Сына.Who is the liar, if it is not the one who denies that Jesus is the Christ? This is the antichrist, who denies the Father and the Son.

23У каждого, кто отвергает Сына, нет и Отца, а у того, кто признаёт Сына, есть Отец.Whoever denies the Son does not have the Father, but whoever confesses the Son has the Father as well.

24То, что вы слышали с самого начала, пусть остаётся в вас. Если то, что вы слышали с самого начала, останется в вас, то и вы останетесь в Сыне и в Отце.As for you, let what you have heard from the beginning remain in you. If it does, you will also remain in the Son and in the Father.

25Обещание, которое Он дал нам— это вечная жизнь.And this is the promise that He Himself made to us: eternal life.

26Это я вам написал о тех, кто вас обманывает.I have written these things to you about those who are trying to deceive you.

27Помазание, которое вы получили от Него, остаётся в вас, и поэтому вам не нужно, чтобы кто-то учил вас. Но так как это помазание само учит вас всему, и оно истинно и не ложно,— то, чему оно научило вас, в том и оставайтесь.And as for you, the anointing you received from Him remains in you, and you do not need anyone to teach you. But just as His true and genuine anointing teaches you about all things, so remain in Him as you have been taught.

28Дети, оставайтесь в Нём, чтобы нам иметь уверенность, когда Он явится, и не постыдиться перед Ним, когда Он придёт.And now, little children, remain in Christ, so that when He appears, we may be confident and unashamed before Him at His coming.

29Если вы знаете, что Он праведен знайте и то, что любой, кто поступает праведно, рождён от Него.If you know that He is righteous, you also know that everyone who practices righteousness has been born of Him.
