3 ROB «Ты знаешь, что мой отец Давид не мог построить дом для своего Господа Бога из-за войн с соседними народами, пока Господь не поверг их к его ногам. BSB BSB: “As you are well aware, due to the wars waged on all sides against my father David, he could not build a house for the Name of the LORD his God until the LORD had put his enemies under his feet.
4 ROB Но теперь мой Господь Бог даровал мне покой со всех сторон: нет противника и нет больше бедствий. BSB BSB: But now the LORD my God has given me rest on every side, and there is no adversary or crisis.
5 ROB И я намерен построить дом для моего Господа Бога, как сказал Господь моему отцу Давиду: „Твой сын, которого Я посажу вместо тебя на твоём престоле, построит дом Моему имени“. BSB BSB: So behold, I plan to build a house for the Name of the LORD my God, according to what the LORD said to my father David: ‘I will put your son on your throne in your place, and he will build the house for My Name.’
6 ROB Итак, прикажи нарубить для меня ливанских кедров, и пусть мои рабы будут вместе с твоими рабами, и я буду платить тебе за твоих рабов, сколько ты скажешь, потому, что ты знаешь, что у нас нет людей, которые умели бы рубить деревья так, как сидоняне». BSB BSB: Now therefore, order that cedars of Lebanon be cut down for me. My servants will be with your servants, and I will pay your servants whatever wages you set, for you know that there are none among us as skilled in logging as the Sidonians.”
7 ROB Когда услышал Хирам слова Соломона, очень обрадовался и сказал: «Благословен Господь, Который дал Давиду мудрого сына для управления этим многочисленным народом!» BSB BSB: When Hiram received Solomon’s message, he rejoiced greatly and said, “Blessed be the LORD this day! He has given David a wise son over this great people!”
8 ROB Хирам послал скaзать Соломону: «Я выслушал то, с чем ты ко мне посылал, и исполню все твои желания о кедровых и кипарисовых деревьях. BSB BSB: Then Hiram sent a reply to Solomon, saying: “I have received your message; I will do all you desire regarding the cedar and cypress timber.
9 ROB Мои слуги спустят их с Ливана к морю. Я на плотах доставлю их по морю и сложу в месте, которое ты мне укажешь, а ты их возьмёшь. Но и ты исполни моё желание: доставляй хлеб для моего дома». BSB BSB: My servants will haul the logs from Lebanon to the Sea, and I will float them as rafts by sea to the place you specify. There I will separate the logs, and you can take them away. And in exchange, you can meet my needs by providing my household with food.”
10 ROB Хирам давал Соломону кедровые и кипарисовые деревья, сколько он желал. BSB BSB: So Hiram provided Solomon with all the cedar and cypress timber he wanted,
11 ROB А Соломон каждый год давал Хираму двадцать тысяч хемер пшеницы для продовольствия его дома и двадцать хемер выбитого оливкового масла. BSB BSB: and year after year Solomon would provide Hiram with 20,000 cors of wheat as food for his household, as well as 20,000 baths of pure olive oil.
12 ROB Господь дал мудрость Соломону, как ему обещал. Был мир между Хирамом и Соломоном, и они заключили между собой союз. BSB BSB: And the LORD gave Solomon wisdom, as He had promised him. There was peace between Hiram and Solomon, and the two of them made a treaty.
13 ROB Царь Соломон набрал работников по всему Израилю. Их было тридцать тысяч человек. BSB BSB: Then King Solomon conscripted a labor force of 30,000 men from all Israel.
14 ROB Он посылал их на Ливан по очереди, по десять тысяч в месяц. Один месяц они были на Ливане, а два месяца в своём доме. Адонирам был их начальником. BSB BSB: He sent them to Lebanon in monthly shifts of 10,000 men, so that they would spend one month in Lebanon and two months at home. And Adoniram was in charge of the forced labor.
15 ROB У Соломона было семьдесят тысяч носивших тяжести и восемьдесят тысяч каменотёсов в горах, BSB BSB: Solomon had 70,000 porters and 80,000 stonecutters in the mountains,
16 ROB а ещё три тысячи триста начальников, которых Соломон поставил смотреть за работниками и их работой. BSB BSB: not including his 3,300 foremen who supervised the workers.
17 ROB Для основания Храма царь повелел привозить большие дорогие обработанные камни. Их обрабатывали работники Соломона, работники Хирама и гивлитяне. BSB BSB: And the king commanded them to quarry large, costly stones to lay the foundation of the temple with dressed stones.
18 ROB Три года они подготавливали деревья и камни для строительства Храма. BSB BSB: So Solomon’s and Hiram’s builders, along with the Gebalites, quarried the stone and prepared the timber and stone for the construction of the temple.
