1. 1ROBОт старейшины— избранной госпоже и её детям, которых я люблю в истине. И не только я, но и все те, кто узнали истину,BSBBSB: The elder, To the chosen lady and her children, whom I love in the truth—and not I alone, but also all who know the truth—
2. 2ROBради истины, которая находится в нас и будет с нами всегда.BSBBSB: because of the truth that abides in us and will be with us forever:
3. 3ROBПусть благодать, милость и мир от Бога Отца и Его Сына Иисуса Христа будет с нами в истине и любви.BSBBSB: Grace, mercy, and peace from God the Father and from Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, will be with us in truth and love.
4. 4ROBЯ очень обрадовался тому, что среди твоих детей нашёл тех, кто ходит в истине по заповеди, которую мы получили от Отца.BSBBSB: I was overjoyed to find some of your children walking in the truth, just as the Father has commanded us.
5. 5ROBИ теперь, госпожа, я пишу не новую заповедь, а ту, что была у нас с самого начала. Я прошу, чтобы мы любили друг друга.BSBBSB: And now I urge you, dear lady—not as a new commandment to you, but one we have had from the beginning—that we love one another.
6. 6ROBЛюбовь заключается в том, чтобы мы поступали по Его заповедям. Это та заповедь, которую вы услышали с самого начала, чтобы поступать по ней.BSBBSB: And this is love, that we walk according to His commandments. This is the very commandment you have heard from the beginning, that you must walk in love.

Они не признают Иисуса Христа, который пришёл в теле, и каждый из них— обманщик и антихрист.BSBBSB: For many deceivers have gone out into the world, refusing to confess the coming of Jesus Christ in the flesh. Any such person is the deceiver and the antichrist.
8. 8ROBСмотрите за собой, чтобы вам не потерять того, над чем мы трудились, но получить полную награду.BSBBSB: Watch yourselves, so that you do not lose what we have worked for, but that you may be fully rewarded.
9. 9ROBКаждый, кто нарушает учение Христа и не находится в этом учении, не имеет Бога. У того, кто находится в учении Христа, есть и Отец, и Сын.BSBBSB: Anyone who runs ahead without remaining in the teaching of Christ does not have God. Whoever remains in His teaching has both the Father and the Son.
10. 10ROBНе принимайте в дом и не приветствуйте того, кто приходит к вам и не приносит это учение.BSBBSB: If anyone comes to you but does not bring this teaching, do not receive him into your home or even greet him.
11. 11ROBПотому что, кто приветствует его, тот участвует в его злых делах.BSBBSB: Whoever greets such a person shares in his evil deeds.
12. 12ROBМногое могу написать вам, но не хочу писать чернилами на бумаге, а надеюсь прийти к вам и поговорить лицом к лицу, чтобы ваша радость была полной.BSBBSB: I have many things to write to you, but I would prefer not to do so with paper and ink. Instead, I hope to come and speak with you face to face, so that our joy may be complete.
13. 13ROBТебя приветствуют дети твоей избранной сестры.BSBBSB: The children of your elect sister send you greetings.
