2 Samuel 20 (ROB)

1Там случайно находился один негодный человек, вениамитянин по имени Савей, сын Бихри. Он затрубил в рог и сказал: «Нет нашей части в Давиде и нет нашей доли в сыне Иессея. Израильтяне, все по своим шатрам!»Now a worthless man named Sheba son of Bichri, a Benjamite, happened to be there, and he blew the ram’s horn and shouted: “We have no share in David, no inheritance in Jesse’s son. Every man to his tent, O Israel!”

2Все израильтяне отделились от Давида и пошли за Савеем, сыном Бихри. А иудеи остались на стороне своего царя, сопровождая его от Иордана до Иерусалима.So all the men of Israel deserted David to follow Sheba son of Bichri. But the men of Judah stayed by their king all the way from the Jordan to Jerusalem.

3Давид пришёл в свой дом в Иерусалиме, взял десять женщин наложниц, которых он оставлял стеречь дом, поместил их в особый дом под надзор и содержал их, но не входил к ним. Они содержались там до дня своей смерти, живя как вдовы.When David returned to his palace in Jerusalem, he took the ten concubines he had left to take care of the palace, and he placed them in a house under guard. He provided for them, but he no longer slept with them. They were confined until the day of their death, living as widows.

4Давид сказал Амессаю: «В течение трёх дней созови ко мне иудеев и сам приходи сюда».Then the king said to Amasa, “Summon the men of Judah to come to me within three days, and be here yourself.”

5Амессай пошёл созывать иудеев, но задержался на большее время, назначенного ему.So Amasa went to summon Judah, but he took longer than the time allotted him.

6Тогда Давид сказал Авессе: «Теперь Савей, сын Бихри, навредит нам больше, чем Авессалом. Возьми слуг твоего господина и преследуй его, чтобы он не нашёл себе укреплённых городов и не скрылся от наших глаз».And David said to Abishai, “Now Sheba the son of Bichri will do us more harm than Absalom. Take your lord’s servants and pursue him, or he will find fortified cities and elude us.”

7За ним вышли люди Иоава, хелефеи и фелефеи. А также все храбрые воины пошли из Иерусалима преследовать Савея, сына Бихри.So Joab’s men, along with the Cherethites, the Pelethites, and all the mighty men, marched out of Jerusalem in pursuit of Sheba son of Bichri.

8Когда они были около большого камня, что у Гаваона, то встретили Амессая. Иоав был одет в свою воинскую одежду и опоясан мечом, который висел у бедра в ножнах и который легко входил и выходил из них.And while they were at the great stone in Gibeon, Amasa joined them. Now Joab was dressed in military attire, with a dagger strapped to his belt. And as he stepped forward, he slipped the dagger from its sheath.

9Иоав сказал Амессаю: «Здоров ли ты, мой брат?» Иоав взял правой рукой Амессая за бороду, чтобы его поцеловать.“Are you well, my brother?” Joab asked Amasa. And with his right hand Joab grabbed Amasa by the beard to kiss him.

10Амессай не остерёгся меча, который был в руке Иоава, и Иоав ударил его мечом в живот так, что на землю выпали его внутренности, и не повторил удара. И Амессай умер. Иоав и его брат Авесса погнались за Савеем, сыном Бихри.Amasa was not on guard against the dagger in Joab’s hand, and Joab stabbed him in the stomach and spilled out his intestines on the ground. And Joab did not need to strike him again, for Amasa was dead. Then Joab and his brother Abishai pursued Sheba son of Bichri.

11Один из слуг Иоава стоял над Амессаем и говорил: «Тот, кто предан Иоаву, и кто за Давида, пусть идёт за Иоавом!»One of Joab’s young men stood near Amasa and said, “Whoever favors Joab, and whoever is for David, let him follow Joab!”

12Мёртвый Амессай лежал в крови посреди дороги. И тот человек, увидев, что весь народ останавливается около него, стащил Амессая с дороги в поле и набросил на него одежду, так как видел, что каждый проходящий останавливался около него.But Amasa wallowed in his blood in the middle of the road, and when the man saw that all the troops were stopping there, he dragged the body off the road into a field and threw a garment over it.

13Но когда его стащили с дороги, то весь израильский народ пошёл вслед за Иоавом преследовать Савея, сына Бихри.As soon as Amasa’s body was removed from the road, all the men went on with Joab to pursue Sheba son of Bichri.

14А он прошёл через все израильские колена до Авела-Беф-Мааха и через весь Берим. Все жители городов собирались и шли за ним.Sheba passed through all the tribes of Israel to Abel-beth-maacah and through the entire region of the Berites, who gathered together and followed him.

15Они пришли и осадили Савея в Авеле-Беф-Маахе, насыпали вал перед городом и подступили к стене. И все люди, бывшие с Иоавом, старались разрушить стену.And Joab’s troops came and besieged Sheba in Abel-beth-maacah and built a siege ramp against the outer rampart of the city. As all the troops with Joab were battering the wall to topple it,

16Тогда одна мудрая женщина закричала со стены города: «Послушайте, послушайте, скажите Иоаву, чтобы он подошёл сюда, и я поговорю с ним».a wise woman called out from the city, “Listen! Listen! Please tell Joab to come here so that I may speak with him.”

17Иоав подошёл к ней, и женщина спросила: «Ты Иоав?» Он ответил: «Я». Она сказала: «Послушай слова твоей рабыни». Он сказал: «Слушаю».When he had come near to her, the woman asked, “Are you Joab?” “I am,” he replied. “Listen to the words of your servant,” she said. “I am listening,” he answered.

18Она сказала: «Раньше говорили так: "Кто хочет совета, спроси в Авеле". Так и решали дело.Then the woman said, “Long ago they used to say, ‘Seek counsel at Abel,’ and that is how disputes were settled.

19Я из мирных, верных городов Израиля, а ты хочешь уничтожить город, и притом мать городов в Израиле. Для чего тебе разрушать наследие Господа?»I am among the peaceable and faithful in Israel, but you are trying to destroy a city that is a mother in Israel. Why would you swallow up the LORD’s inheritance?”

20Иоав ответил: «Пусть не будет этого со мной, чтобы я уничтожил или разрушил!“Far be it!” Joab declared. “Far be it from me to swallow up or destroy!

21Это не так. Но человек с горы Ефрема по имени Савей, сын Бихри, поднял свою руку на царя Давида. Выдайте мне его одного, и я отступлю от города». Женщина сказала Иоаву: «Его голова будет брошена тебе со стены».That is not the case. But a man named Sheba son of Bichri, from the hill country of Ephraim, has lifted up his hand against the king, against David. Deliver him alone, and I will depart from the city.” “Look,” the woman replied, “his head will be thrown to you over the wall.”

22Женщина пошла ко всему народу со своим мудрым словом. Они отсекли голову Савею, сыну Бихри, и бросили Иоаву. Тогда Иоав затрубил в рог, и все разошлись от города по своим шатрам. А Иоав вернулся в Иерусалим к царю.Then the woman went to all the people with her wise counsel, and they cut off the head of Sheba son of Bichri and threw it to Joab. So he blew the ram’s horn and his men dispersed from the city, each to his own home. And Joab returned to the king in Jerusalem.

23Иоав был поставлен над всем израильским войском, а Ванея, сын Иодая,— над хелефеями и над фелефеями,Now Joab was over the whole army of Israel; Benaiah son of Jehoiada was over the Cherethites and Pelethites;

24Адорам— над сбором налогов, Иосафат, сын Ахилуда,— летописцем,Adoram was in charge of the forced labor; Jehoshaphat son of Ahilud was the recorder;

25Суса— писарем, Садок и Авиафар— священниками.Sheva was the scribe; Zadok and Abiathar were priests;

26Иаритянин Ира также был священником у Давида.and Ira the Jairite was David’s priest.
