Jeremiah 2 (ROB)

1Было слово Господа ко мне:Now the word of the LORD came to me, saying,

2"Иди и провозгласи дочери Иерусалима: "Так говорит Господь: "Я вспоминаю о твоей верности в юности, о твоей любви, когда ты была невестой и последовала за Мной в пустыню, в незасеянную землю.“Go and proclaim in the hearing of Jerusalem that this is what the LORD says: ‘I remember the devotion of your youth, your love as a bride, how you followed Me in the wilderness, in a land not sown.

3Израиль— святыня Господа, Его первый плод. Все поедавшие его были осуждены, их постигало бедствие,— говорит Господь.—Israel was holy to the LORD, the firstfruits of His harvest. All who devoured her were found guilty; disaster came upon them,’” declares the LORD.

4Выслушайте слово Господа, дом Иакова и все поколения дома Израиля!»Hear the word of the LORD, O house of Jacob, and all you families of the house of Israel.

5Так говорит Господь: «Какую неправду нашли во Мне ваши праотцы, что удалились от Меня, пошли за суетой и осуетились,This is what the LORD says: “What fault did your fathers find in Me that they strayed so far from Me? They followed worthless idols, and became worthless themselves.

6и не сказали: "Где Господь, Который вывел нас из египетской земли, вёл нас по пустыне, по пустой и необитаемой земле, по сухой земле, по земле смертной тени, по которой никто не ходил и где не жил человек?"They did not ask, ‘Where is the LORD who brought us up from the land of Egypt, who led us through the wilderness, through a land of deserts and pits, a land of drought and darkness, a land where no one travels and no one lives?’

7Я ввёл вас в плодородную землю, чтобы вы питались её плодами и её добром, а вы вошли и осквернили Мою землю, а Моё достояние сделали мерзостью.I brought you into a fertile land to eat its fruit and bounty, but you came and defiled My land and made My inheritance detestable.

8Священники не говорили: "Где Господь?" Учителя Закона не знали Меня, пастыри восстали против Меня, пророки пророчествовали во имя Ваала и ходили за теми, которые не помогают.The priests did not ask, ‘Where is the LORD?’ The experts in the law no longer knew Me, and the leaders rebelled against Me. The prophets prophesied by Baal and followed useless idols.

9Поэтому Я ещё буду судиться с вами,— говорит Господь,— и с сыновьями ваших сыновей Я буду судиться.Therefore, I will contend with you again, declares the LORD, and I will bring a case against your children’s children.

10Идите на хиттимские острова и посмотрите. Пошлите в Кидар и получше разведайте, рассмотрите, было ли там что-нибудь подобное этому?Cross over to the coasts of Cyprus and take a look; send to Kedar and consider carefully; see if there has ever been anything like this:

11Менял ли какой-нибудь народ своих богов, хотя они и не боги? А Мой народ променял свою славу на то, что не помогает.Has a nation ever changed its gods? (Yet they are not gods at all.) But My people have exchanged their Glory for useless idols.

12Ужаснись этому, небо, и содрогнись от ужаса,— говорит Господь,—Be stunned by this, O heavens; be shocked and utterly appalled,” declares the LORD.

13потому что два преступления сделал Мой народ: оставил Меня, Источник живой воды, и высек себе водоёмы, которые разбиваются и не могут держать воду.“For My people have committed two evils: They have forsaken Me, the fountain of living water, and they have dug their own cisterns—broken cisterns that cannot hold water.

14Разве Израиль раб? Или рождён рабом? Почему он стал добычей?Is Israel a slave? Was he born into slavery? Why then has he become prey?

15Зарычали на него молодые львы, подали свой голос и сделали его землю пустыней. Его города сожжены, безлюдны.The young lions have roared at him; they have sounded their voices. They have laid waste his land; his cities lie in ruins, without inhabitant.

16И сыновья Мемфиса и Тафны объели твоё темя.The men of Memphis and Tahpanhes have shaved the crown of your head.

17Разве ты не тем причинил себе это, что оставил Господа, твоего Бога, в то время, когда Он вёл тебя по пути?Have you not brought this on yourself by forsaking the LORD your God when He led you in the way?

18И сегодня для чего тебе путь в Египет, чтобы пить воду из Нила? Для чего тебе путь в Ассирию, чтобы пить воду из её реки?Now what will you gain on your way to Egypt to drink the waters of the Nile? What will you gain on your way to Assyria to drink the waters of the Euphrates?

19Твоё беззаконие накажет тебя, и твоя неверность обличит тебя. Посмотри и подумай, как плохо и горько то, что ты оставил Господа, твоего Бога, и нет у тебя страха передо Мной,— говорит Господь Бог, Саваоф.Your own evil will discipline you; your own apostasies will reprimand you. Consider and realize how evil and bitter it is for you to forsake the LORD your God and to have no fear of Me,” declares the Lord GOD of Hosts.

20Я давно разбил твоё ярмо, разорвал твои оковы, и ты говорил, что ты не будешь служить идолам, но на каждом высоком холме и под каждым ветвистым деревом развратничал.“For long ago you broke your yoke and tore off your chains, saying, ‘I will not serve!’ Indeed, on every high hill and under every green tree you lay down as a prostitute.

21Я посадил тебя как лучшую виноградную лозу, самое чистое семя. Как же ты превратилась у Меня в дикий побег чужой лозы?I had planted you like a choice vine from the very best seed. How could you turn yourself before Me into a rotten, wild vine?

22Поэтому, даже если бы ты вымылся мылом и использовал много щёлока, пятно твоего греха останется передо Мной,— говорит Господь Бог.—Although you wash with lye and use an abundance of soap, the stain of your guilt is still before Me,” declares the Lord GOD.

23Как же ты можешь говорить: "Я не осквернил себя, вслед за Ваалом я не ходил"? Посмотри на твоё поведение в долине, пойми, что ты сделала, резвая верблюдица, которая мечется по дорогам!“How can you say, ‘I am not defiled; I have not run after the Baals’? Look at your behavior in the valley; acknowledge what you have done. You are a swift young she-camel galloping here and there,

24Привыкшую к пустыне дикую ослицу, в страстном желании своей души, глотающую воздух, кто сможет укротить? Все, ищущие её, не устанут и найдут её в её месяц.a wild donkey at home in the wilderness, sniffing the wind in the heat of her desire. Who can restrain her passion? All who seek her need not weary themselves; in mating season they will find her.

25Не дай твоим ногам ступать босыми и твоему горлу пересыхать от жажды. Но ты сказал: "Не надейся, нет! Потому что я люблю чужих и буду ходить за ними!"You should have kept your feet from going bare and your throat from being thirsty. But you said, ‘It is hopeless! For I love foreign gods, and I must go after them.’

26Как вор, когда его поймают, бывает опозорен, так опозорил себя дом Израиля: они, их цари и их правители, их священники и их пророкиAs the thief is ashamed when he is caught, so the house of Israel is disgraced. They, their kings, their officials, their priests, and their prophets

27говорят дереву: "Ты— мой отец", и камню: "Ты родил меня". Ведь они повернулись ко Мне спиной, а не лицом. А во время своего бедствия скажут: "Встань и спаси нас!"say to a tree, ‘You are my father,’ and to a stone, ‘You gave me birth.’ They have turned their backs to Me and not their faces. Yet in the time of trouble, they say, ‘Rise up and save us!’

28Где же твои боги, которых ты сделал себе? Пусть они встанут, если могут спасти тебя во время твоего бедствия. Ведь сколько у тебя городов, Иудея, столько у тебя и богов.But where are the gods you made for yourselves? Let them rise up in your time of trouble and save you if they can; for your gods are as numerous as your cities, O Judah.

29Для чего вам ссориться со Мной? Все вы бунтовали против Меня,— говорит Господь.—Why do you bring a case against Me? You have all rebelled against Me,” declares the LORD.

30Напрасно Я наказывал ваших детей, они не приняли наставления. Ваш меч пожирал ваших пророков, как убивающий лев.“I have struck your sons in vain; they accepted no discipline. Your own sword has devoured your prophets like a voracious lion.”

31Поколение, прислушайтесь к слову Господа: "Разве Я был пустыней для Израиля? Разве я был землёй мрака? Зачем же Мой народ говорит: "Мы будем странствовать, мы уже не придём к Тебе"?You people of this generation, consider the word of the LORD: “Have I been a wilderness to Israel or a land of dense darkness? Why do My people say, ‘We are free to roam; we will come to You no more’?

32Забывает ли девушка своё украшение и невеста— свой наряд? А Мой народ забыл Меня, и нет числа дням.Does a maiden forget her jewelry or a bride her wedding sash? Yet My people have forgotten Me for days without number.

33Как искусно направляешь ты свои пути, чтобы найти любовь! Так что даже развращённых ты научишь своим путям.How skillfully you pursue love! Even the most immoral of women could learn from your ways.

34Даже на полах твоей одежды находится кровь бедных людей, невинных, которых ты не застала за кражей, и несмотря на всё это,Moreover, your skirts are stained with the blood of the innocent poor, though you did not find them breaking in. But in spite of all these things

35говоришь: "Я невиновна, поэтому гнев Его пройдёт мимо меня". Я буду судиться с тобой за то, что ты говоришь: "Я не согрешила".you say, ‘I am innocent. Surely His anger will turn from me.’ Behold, I will judge you, because you say, ‘I have not sinned.’

36Зачем ты так много бродишь, меняя свой путь? Ты будешь опозорена Египтом так же, как была опозорена Ассирией.How impulsive you are, constantly changing your ways! You will be disappointed by Egypt just as you were by Assyria.

37И от него ты выйдешь, положив руки на голову, потому что Господь не принял тех, на кого ты надеялась, и не будет тебе с ними успеха.Moreover, you will leave that place with your hands on your head, for the LORD has rejected those you trust; you will not prosper by their help.”
