1Иисус, исполненный Святого Духа, возвратился от Иордана, и Дух повёл Его в пустыню.Then Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness,

2Там сорок дней Он был искушаем дьяволом и ничего не ел в эти дни, а по окончанию этого времени испытал голод.where for forty days He was tempted by the devil. He ate nothing during those days, and when they had ended, He was hungry.

3И сказал Ему дьявол: «Если Ты Божий Сын, то скажи этому камню стать хлебом».The devil said to Him, “If You are the Son of God, tell this stone to become bread.”

4Иисус сказал ему в ответ: «Написано, что не только хлебом будет жить человек, но всяким Божьим словом».But Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone.’”

5И возвёл Его дьявол на высокую гору, и показал Ему все земные царства во мгновение времени,Then the devil led Him up to a high place and showed Him in an instant all the kingdoms of the world.

6и сказал Ему дьявол: «Тебе дам власть над всеми этими царствами и их славу, потому что она передана мне, и я, кому хочу, даю её.“I will give You authority over all these kingdoms and all their glory,” he said. “For it has been relinquished to me, and I can give it to anyone I wish.

7Итак, если Ты поклонишься мне, то всё будет Твоё».So if You worship me, it will all be Yours.”

8Иисус сказал ему в ответ: «Отойди от Меня, сатана. Написано: "Поклоняйся Господу, твоему Богу, и Ему одному служи"».But Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God and serve Him only.’”

9И повёл Его в Иерусалим, и поставил Его на крыле храма, и сказал Ему: «Если Ты Божий Сын, бросься отсюда вниз,Then the devil led Him to Jerusalem and set Him on the pinnacle of the temple. “If You are the Son of God,” he said, “throw Yourself down from here.

10ведь написано: "Своим ангелам повелевает сохранить Тебя,For it is written: ‘He will command His angels concerning You to guard You carefully,

11они на руках понесут Тебя, и не споткнёшься о камень ногой"».and they will lift You up in their hands, so that You will not strike Your foot against a stone.’”

12Иисус сказал ему в ответ: «Сказано: "Не испытывай Господа, твоего Бога"».But Jesus answered, “It also says, ‘Do not put the Lord your God to the test.’”

13И когда дьявол закончил искушать Его, то на время отошёл от Него.When the devil had finished every temptation, he left Him until an opportune time.

14И возвратился Иисус в силе Духа в Галилею, и разнёсся слух о Нём по всей окрестности.Jesus returned to Galilee in the power of the Spirit, and the news about Him spread throughout the surrounding region.

15Он учил в их синагогах, и все Его прославляли.He taught in their synagogues and was glorified by everyone.

16И пришёл в Назарет, где был воспитан, и в субботний день по Своему обычаю вошёл в синагогу, встал и начал читать.Then Jesus came to Nazareth, where He had been brought up. As was His custom, He entered the synagogue on the Sabbath. And when He stood up to read,

17Ему подали книгу пророка Исаии, и Он, раскрыв книгу, нашёл место, где было написано:the scroll of the prophet Isaiah was handed to Him. Unrolling it, He found the place where it was written:

18«Дух Господа на Мне, потому что Он помазал Меня благовествовать нищим, и послал Меня исцелять разбитые сердца, провозглашать пленникам освобождение, слепым прозрение, отпустить измученных на свободу,“The Spirit of the Lord is on Me, because He has anointed Me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent Me to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to release the oppressed,

19проповедовать благоприятный год Господа».to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.”

20Закрыв книгу и отдав служителю, сел. Все в синагоге пристально смотрели на Него.Then He rolled up the scroll, returned it to the attendant, and sat down. The eyes of everyone in the synagogue were fixed on Him,

21Он начал говорить им: «Сегодня исполнилось это писание, услышанное вами».and He began by saying, “Today this Scripture is fulfilled in your hearing.”

22И все были свидетелями Ему, и удивлялись сказанным Им словам благодати, и говорили: «Не сын Иосифа ли это?»All spoke well of Him and marveled at the gracious words that came from His lips. “Isn’t this the son of Joseph?” they asked.

23Он сказал им: «Конечно, вы скажете Мне: "Врач! Вылечи Себя Сам. Сделай и здесь, в Своём отечестве, то, что Ты, как мы слышали, делал в Капернауме"».Jesus said to them, “Surely you will quote this proverb to Me: ‘Physician, heal yourself! Do here in Your hometown what we have heard that You did in Capernaum.’”

24И сказал: «Истинно говорю вам: никакой пророк не принимается в своём отечестве.Then He added, “Truly I tell you, no prophet is accepted in his hometown.

25Поистине говорю вам: много вдов было в Израиле во времена Илии, когда закрыто было небо три года и шесть месяцев, так что наступил большой голод по всей земле,But I tell you truthfully that there were many widows in Israel in the time of Elijah, when the sky was shut for three and a half years and great famine swept over all the land.

26и ни к одной из них не был послан Илия, а только к вдове в Сарепту Сидонскую.Yet Elijah was not sent to any of them, but to the widow of Zarephath in Sidon.

27Много также было прокажённых в Израиле во времена пророка Елисея, и ни один из них не очистился, кроме сирийца Неемана».And there were many lepers in Israel in the time of Elisha the prophet. Yet not one of them was cleansed—only Naaman the Syrian.”

28Услышав это, все в синагоге пришли в яростьOn hearing this, all the people in the synagogue were enraged.

29и, встав, выгнали Его вон из города, и повели на вершину горы, на которой был построен их город, чтобы сбросить Его,They got up, drove Him out of the town, and led Him to the brow of the hill on which the town was built, in order to throw Him over the cliff.

30но Он, пройдя между ними, ушёл.But Jesus passed through the crowd and went on His way.

31И пришёл в Капернаум, город в Галилее, и учил их по субботам.Then He went down to Capernaum, a town in Galilee, and on the Sabbath He began to teach the people.

32И удивлялись Его учению, потому что Его слово было с властью.They were astonished at His teaching, because His message had authority.

33В синагоге был человек, имевший нечистый дух демона, и он закричал громким голосом:In the synagogue there was a man possessed by the spirit of an unclean demon. He cried out in a loud voice,

34«Эй, что Тебе надо от нас, Иисус Назарянин? Ты пришёл погубить нас! Знаю Тебя, кто Ты— Божий Святой».“Ha! What do You want with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have You come to destroy us? I know who You are—the Holy One of God!”

35Иисус запретил ему, сказав: «Замолчи и выйди из него». И демон, бросив его посреди синагоги, вышел из него, никак ему не повредив.But Jesus rebuked the demon. “Be silent!” He said. “Come out of him!” At this, the demon threw the man down before them all and came out without harming him.

36И напал на всех ужас, и рассуждали между собой: «Что это значит, когда Он с властью и силой приказывает нечистым духам, и они выходят?»All the people were overcome with amazement and asked one another, “What is this message? With authority and power He commands the unclean spirits, and they come out!”

37И разнёсся слух о Нём по всем окрестным местам.And the news about Jesus spread throughout the surrounding region.

38Выйдя из синагоги, Он вошёл в дом Симона. Теща Симона страдала сильной горячкой, и просили Его о ней.After Jesus had left the synagogue, He went to the home of Simon, whose mother-in-law was suffering from a high fever. So they appealed to Jesus on her behalf,

39Подойдя к ней, Он запретил горячке, и она оставила её. Она сразу же встала и служила им.and He stood over her and rebuked the fever, and it left her. And she got up at once and began to serve them.

40На заходе солнца все, имевшие больных разными болезнями, приводили их к Нему, и Он, возлагая руки на каждого из них, исцелял их.At sunset, all who were ill with various diseases were brought to Jesus, and laying His hands on each one, He healed them.

41Также из многих с криком выходили демоны и говорили: «Ты Христос, Божий Сын». А Он запрещал им говорить о том, что они знают, что Он Христос.Demons also came out of many people, shouting, “You are the Son of God!” But He rebuked the demons and would not allow them to speak, because they knew He was the Christ.

42Когда же настал день, Он, выйдя из дома, пошёл в пустынное место. Народ искал Его и, придя к Нему, удерживал Его, чтобы не уходил от них.At daybreak, Jesus went out to a solitary place, and the crowds were looking for Him. They came to Him and tried to keep Him from leaving.

43Но Он сказал им: «Я должен и другим городам благовествовать Божье Царство, потому что для этого Я и послан».But Jesus told them, “I must preach the good news of the kingdom of God to the other towns as well, because that is why I was sent.”

44И проповедовал в синагогах Галилеи.And He continued to preach in the synagogues of Judea.
