3 ULB И он проходил по всем землям вдоль Иордана, проповедуя крещение покаяния для прощения грехов. BSB BSB: He went into all the region around the Jordan, preaching a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins,
4 ULB Как написано в книге пророка Исаии, который говорит: "Голос призывающего в пустыне: приготовьте Господу путь, сделайте прямыми тропы для Него. BSB BSB: as it is written in the book of the words of Isaiah the prophet: “A voice of one calling in the wilderness, ‘Prepare the way for the Lord, make straight paths for Him.
5 ULB Всякая яма пусть наполнится, и всякая гора и холм пусть понизятся, искривления выпрямятся и каменистые пути сделаются гладкими, BSB BSB: Every valley shall be filled in, and every mountain and hill made low. The crooked ways shall be made straight, and the rough ways smooth.
6 ULB и увидит всё живое Божье спасение". BSB BSB: And all humanity will see God’s salvation.’”
7 ULB Иоанн говорил народу, приходившему креститься от него: «Змеиное отродье! Кто внушил вам бежать от будущего гнева? BSB BSB: Then John said to the crowds coming out to be baptized by him, “You brood of vipers, who warned you to flee from the coming wrath?
8 ULB Сотворите же достойные плоды покаяния и не думайте говорить в себе "наш отец Авраам". Ведь говорю вам, что Бог может из этих камней воздвигнуть детей Аврааму. BSB BSB: Produce fruit, then, in keeping with repentance. And do not begin to say to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as our father.’ For I tell you that out of these stones God can raise up children for Abraham.
9 ULB Вот и топор лежит возле корня деревьев: всякое дерево, не приносящее хороший плод, срубают и бросают в огонь». BSB BSB: The axe lies ready at the root of the trees, and every tree that does not produce good fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire.”
10 ULB И спрашивал его народ: «Что же нам делать?» BSB BSB: The crowds asked him, “What then should we do?”
11 ULB Он им ответил: «У кого две одежды, тот дай тому, кто не имеет, и у кого есть пища, поступай так же». BSB BSB: John replied, “Whoever has two tunics should share with him who has none, and whoever has food should do the same.”
12 ULB Пришли и сборщики налогов креститься, и сказали ему: «Учитель! Что нам делать?» BSB BSB: Even tax collectors came to be baptized. “Teacher,” they asked, “what should we do?”
13 ULB Он отвечал им: «Не требуйте ничего больше, чем вам положено». BSB BSB: “Collect no more than you are authorized,” he answered.
14 ULB Спрашивали его также и воины: «А нам что делать?» И сказал им: «Никого не обижайте, не клевещите, и будьте довольны своим жалованьем». BSB BSB: Then some soldiers asked him, “And what should we do?” “Do not take money by force or false accusation,” he said. “Be content with your wages.”
15 ULB Когда же народ ожидал, и все думали об Иоанне, не Христос ли он,– BSB BSB: The people were waiting expectantly and were all wondering in their hearts if John could be the Christ.
16 ULB Иоанн всем отвечал: «Я крещу вас в воде, но идёт Тот, Кто сильнее меня, у Которого я недостоин развязать ремень обуви. Он будет крестить вас в Духе Святом и огне. BSB BSB: John answered all of them: “I baptize you with water, but One more powerful than I will come, the straps of whose sandals I am not worthy to untie. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire.
17 ULB Его лопата в Его руке, и Он очистит Своё гумно и соберёт пшеницу в Своё хранилище зерна, а солому сожжёт неугасимым огнём». BSB BSB: His winnowing fork is in His hand to clear His threshing floor and to gather the wheat into His barn; but He will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.”
18 ULB Много другого благовествовал он народу, наставляя его. BSB BSB: With these and many other exhortations, John proclaimed the good news to the people.
19 ULB А Ирод четвертовластник, обличаемый Иоанном за Иродиаду, жену своего брата, и за всё, что сделал Ирод плохого, BSB BSB: But when he rebuked Herod the tetrarch regarding his brother’s wife Herodias and all the evils he had done,
20 ULB добавил ко всему прочему и то, что заключил Иоанна в тюрьму. BSB BSB: Herod added this to them all: He locked John up in prison.
21 ULB Когда же крестился весь народ, крестился и Иисус. И когда молился, открылось небо BSB BSB: When all the people were being baptized, Jesus was baptized too. And as He was praying, heaven was opened,
22 ULB и Дух Святой сошёл на Него в телесном виде, как голубь, и был голос с неба, говорящий: «Ты Мой Любимый Сын, в Тебе Мое благоволение!» BSB BSB: and the Holy Spirit descended on Him in a bodily form like a dove. And a voice came from heaven: “You are My beloved Son; in You I am well pleased.”
