RV And these things will they do, because they have not known the Father, nor me. BSB BSB: They will do these things because they have not known the Father or Me.
RV But these things have I spoken unto you, that when their hour is come, ye may remember them, how that I told you. And these things I said not unto you from the beginning, because I was with you. BSB BSB: But I have told you these things so that when their hour comes, you will remember that I told you about them. I did not tell you these things from the beginning, because I was with you.
The Promise of the Holy Spirit (John 14:15–26)

RV But because I have spoken these things unto you, sorrow hath filled your heart. BSB BSB: Instead, your hearts are filled with sorrow because I have told you these things.
RV And he, when he is come, will convict the world in respect of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: BSB BSB: And when He comes, He will convict the world in regard to sin and righteousness and judgment:
RV of sin, because they believe not on me; BSB BSB: in regard to sin, because they do not believe in Me;
RV of righteousness, because I go to the Father, and ye behold me no more; BSB BSB: in regard to righteousness, because I am going to the Father and you will no longer see Me;
RV of judgment, because the prince of this world hath been judged. BSB BSB: and in regard to judgment, because the prince of this world has been condemned.
RV I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now. BSB BSB: I still have much to tell you, but you cannot yet bear to hear it.
RV He shall glorify me: for he shall take of mine, and shall declare it unto you. BSB BSB: He will glorify Me by taking from what is Mine and disclosing it to you.
RV All things whatsoever the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he taketh of mine, and shall declare it unto you. BSB BSB: Everything that belongs to the Father is Mine. That is why I said that the Spirit will take from what is Mine and disclose it to you.
RV A little while, and ye behold me no more; and again a little while, and ye shall see me. BSB BSB: In a little while you will see Me no more, and then after a little while you will see Me.”

RV A woman when she is in travail hath sorrow, because her hour is come: but when she is delivered of the child, she remembereth no more the anguish, for the joy that a man is born into the world. 22 RV And ye therefore now have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no one taketh away from you. BSB BSB: So also you have sorrow now, but I will see you again and your hearts will rejoice, and no one will take away your joy.
