LORD, Thou hast been favourable unto thy land: thou hast brought back the captivity of Jacob. BSB BSB: For the choirmaster. A Psalm of the sons of Korah. You showed favor to Your land, O LORD; You restored Jacob from captivity.
2 RV Thou hast forgiven the iniquity of thy people, thou hast covered all their sin. Selah BSB BSB: You forgave the iniquity of Your people; You covered all their sin. Selah
3 RV Thou hast taken away all thy wrath: thou hast turned thyself from the fierceness of thine anger. BSB BSB: You withheld all Your fury; You turned from Your burning anger.
4 RV Turn us, O God of our salvation, and cause thine indignation toward us to cease. BSB BSB: Restore us, O God of our salvation, and put away Your displeasure toward us.
5 RV Wilt thou be angry with us for ever? wilt thou draw out thine anger to all generations? BSB BSB: Will You be angry with us forever? Will You draw out Your anger to all generations?
6 RV Wilt thou not quicken us again: that thy people may rejoice in thee? BSB BSB: Will You not revive us again, that Your people may rejoice in You?
7 RV Shew us thy mercy, O LORD, and grant us thy salvation. BSB BSB: Show us Your loving devotion, O LORD, and grant us Your salvation.
8 RV I will hear what God the LORD will speak: for he will speak peace unto his people, and to his saints: but let them not turn again to folly. BSB BSB: I will listen to what God the LORD will say; for He will surely speak peace to His people and His saints; He will not let them return to folly.
9 RV Surely his salvation is nigh them that fear him; that glory may dwell in our land. BSB BSB: Surely His salvation is near to those who fear Him, that His glory may dwell in our land.
10 RV Mercy and truth are met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other. BSB BSB: Loving devotion and faithfulness have joined together; righteousness and peace have kissed.
11 RV Truth springeth out of the earth; and righteousness hath looked down from heaven. BSB BSB: Faithfulness sprouts from the earth, and righteousness looks down from heaven.
12 RV Yea, the LORD shall give that which is good; and our land shall yield her increase. BSB BSB: The LORD will indeed provide what is good, and our land will yield its increase.
13 RV Righteousness shall go before him; and shall make his footsteps a way to walk in . BSB BSB: Righteousness will go before Him to prepare the way for His steps.
