Genesis 7 (SPABLL)

1Después Yahvé le dijo a Noé: “Entra en el arca con toda tu familia, porque he visto que tú eres el único hombre justo de este tiempo.Then the LORD said to Noah, “Go into the ark, you and all your family, because I have found you righteous in this generation.

2De todos los animales puros, toma siete parejas, macho y hembra; pero de los animales impuros, toma sólo una pareja, macho y hembra.You are to take with you seven pairs of every kind of clean animal, a male and its mate; a pair of every kind of unclean animal, a male and its mate;

3También de las aves del cielo, toma siete parejas, macho y hembra, para conservar su especie sobre la tierra.and seven pairs of every kind of bird of the air, male and female, to preserve their offspring on the face of all the earth.

4Porque dentro de siete días enviaré una lluvia sobre la tierra que durará cuarenta días y cuarenta noches, y borraré de la superficie de la tierra a todos los seres vivos que he creado”.For seven days from now I will send rain on the earth for forty days and forty nights, and I will wipe from the face of the earth every living thing I have made.”

5Noé hizo todo tal como Yahvé se lo había ordenado.And Noah did all that the LORD had commanded him.

6Noé tenía seiscientos años cuando el diluvio inundó la tierra.Now Noah was 600 years old when the floodwaters came upon the earth.

7Él entró en el arca, junto con sus hijos, su mujer y sus nueras, para salvarse del diluvio.And Noah and his wife, with his sons and their wives, entered the ark to escape the waters of the flood.

8De los animales puros e impuros, de las aves y de todos los seres que se arrastran por el suelo,The clean and unclean animals, the birds, and everything that crawls along the ground

9entraron con Noé en el arca parejas de macho y hembra, tal como Dios se lo había ordenado.came to Noah to enter the ark, two by two, male and female, as God had commanded Noah.

10Siete días después, las aguas del diluvio comenzaron a caer sobre la tierra.And after seven days the floodwaters came upon the earth.

11Cuando Noé tenía seiscientos años, el día diecisiete del segundo mes, se reventaron todas las fuentes del gran abismo y se abrieron las compuertas del cielo.In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, on the seventeenth day of the second month, all the fountains of the great deep burst forth, and the floodgates of the heavens were opened.

12Estuvo lloviendo sobre la tierra cuarenta días y cuarenta noches.And the rain fell upon the earth for forty days and forty nights.

13Ese mismo día, Noé y sus hijos Sem, Cam y Jafet, junto con su mujer y sus tres nueras, entraron en el arca.On that very day Noah entered the ark, along with his sons Shem, Ham, and Japheth, and his wife, and the three wives of his sons—

14Con ellos entraron todos los animales salvajes y domésticos según su especie, todos los reptiles que se arrastran por el suelo según su especie, y todas las aves y todos los seres alados según su especie.they and every kind of wild animal, livestock, crawling creature, bird, and winged creature.

15De todos los seres que tienen aliento de vida, entraron con Noé en el arca de dos en dos.They came to Noah to enter the ark, two by two of every creature with the breath of life.

16Los animales que entraron eran macho y hembra de cada especie, tal como Dios se lo había ordenado a Noé. Luego Yahvé cerró la puerta.And they entered, the male and female of every living thing, as God had commanded Noah. Then the LORD shut him in.

17El diluvio duró cuarenta días sobre la tierra. Al crecer las aguas, el arca se levantó y comenzó a flotar.For forty days the flood kept coming on the earth, and the waters rose and lifted the ark high above the earth.

18Las aguas crecieron y aumentaron muchísimo, pero el arca se mantenía a flote sobre ellas.So the waters continued to surge and rise greatly on the earth, and the ark floated on the surface of the waters.

19Tanto subieron las aguas que cubrieron las montañas más altas que hay bajo el cielo.Finally, the waters completely prevailed upon the earth, so that all the high mountains under all the heavens were covered.

20El nivel del agua subió casi siete metros por encima de las montañas.The waters rose and covered the mountaintops to a depth of fifteen cubits.

21Y murieron todos los seres que se movían sobre la tierra: las aves, los animales domésticos y salvajes, todos los reptiles y toda la humanidad.And every living thing that moved upon the earth perished—birds, livestock, animals, every creature that swarms upon the earth, and all mankind.

22Todo lo que tenía aliento de vida y vivía en la tierra firme, murió.Of all that was on dry land, everything that had the breath of life in its nostrils died.

23Así Dios borró de la superficie de la tierra a todos los seres vivos, desde el hombre hasta los animales, los reptiles y las aves del cielo. ¡Todos fueron borrados de la tierra! Sólo sobrevivieron Noé y los que estaban con él en el arca.And every living thing on the face of the earth was destroyed—man and livestock, crawling creatures and birds of the air; they were blotted out from the earth, and only Noah and those with him in the ark remained.

24Y las aguas cubrieron la tierra durante ciento cincuenta días.And the waters prevailed upon the earth for 150 days.
