10 STF Koji ljubi brata svoga, u svetlosti ћivi, i sablazni nema u njemu. BSB BSB: Whoever loves his brother remains in the light, and there is no cause of stumbling in him.
11 STF A koji mrzi na brata svoga, u tami je i u tami hodi, i ne zna kuda ide, jer mu je tama zaslepila oиi. BSB BSB: But whoever hates his brother is in the darkness and walks in the darkness. He does not know where he is going, because the darkness has blinded his eyes.
12 STF Piљem vam, deиice, jer su vam oproљteni gresi zbog imena njegova. BSB BSB: I am writing to you, little children, because your sins have been forgiven through His name.
13 STF Piљem vam, oci, jer ste poznali onoga koji je od poиetka. Piљem vam, mladiжi, jer ste nadvladali neиastivoga. BSB BSB: I am writing to you, fathers, because you know Him who is from the beginning. I am writing to you, young men, because you have overcome the evil one. I have written to you, children, because you know the Father.
14 STF Pisah vam, deco, jer ste poznali Oca. Pisah vam, oci, jer ste poznali onoga koji je od poиetka. Pisah vam, mladiжi, jer ste jaki i reи Boћja stoji u vama i nadvladali ste neиastivoga. BSB BSB: I have written to you, fathers, because you know Him who is from the beginning. I have written to you, young men, because you are strong, and the word of God abides in you, and you have overcome the evil one.
15 STF Ne ljubite sveta i љto je na svetu. Ako ko ljubi svet, nema ljubavi Oиine u njemu; BSB BSB: Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
16 STF Jer sve љto je na svetu, ћelja mesa, ћelja oиiju i razmetanje zemaljskim blagom nije od Oca, nego je od ovoga sveta. BSB BSB: For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh, the desires of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not from the Father but from the world.
17 STF I svet prolazi, i ћelja njegova; a koji tvori volju Boћju, ostaje do veka. BSB BSB: The world is passing away, along with its desires; but whoever does the will of God remains forever.
18 STF Deco, poslednji je иas, i kao љto ste иuli da жe doжi antihrist, tako su se sad javili mnogi antihristi. Po tome poznajemo da je poslednji иas. BSB BSB: Children, it is the last hour; and just as you have heard that the antichrist is coming, so now many antichrists have appeared. This is how we know it is the last hour.
20 STF A vi imate pomazanje od Svetoga, i znate svi. BSB BSB: You, however, have an anointing from the Holy One, and all of you know the truth.
21 STF Ne pisah vam kao da ne znate istine, nego љto je znate i љto nijedna laћ nije od istine. BSB BSB: I have not written to you because you lack knowledge of the truth, but because you have it, and because no lie comes from the truth.
23 STF Koji se god odriиe Sina, nema ni Oca; a koji priznaje Sina, ima i Oca. BSB BSB: Whoever denies the Son does not have the Father, but whoever confesses the Son has the Father as well.
24 STF Љto ste иuli od poиetka, neka ostane u vama. Ako u vama ostane љto ste иuli od poиetka, i vi жete ostati u Sinu i u Ocu. BSB BSB: As for you, let what you have heard from the beginning remain in you. If it does, you will also remain in the Son and in the Father.
25 STF I ovo je obeжanje koje nam je on obeжao: ћivot veиni. BSB BSB: And this is the promise that He Himself made to us: eternal life.
26 STF Ovo vam pisah za one koji vas zavode. BSB BSB: I have written these things to you about those who are trying to deceive you.
27 STF A vi- u vama ostaje pomazanje љto ste ga primili od njega, i ne trebate da vas ko uиi. Ali, kao љto vas njegovo pomazanje uиi u svemu, tako je i istinito i nije laћ, i kako vas je ono nauиilo, tako ostanite u njemu. BSB BSB: And as for you, the anointing you received from Him remains in you, and you do not need anyone to teach you. But just as His true and genuine anointing teaches you about all things, so remain in Him as you have been taught.
28 STF I sad, deиice, ostanite u njemu, da bi imali slobodu kad se on javi, i da se ne osramotimo pred njim o njegovu dolasku. BSB BSB: And now, little children, remain in Christ, so that when He appears, we may be confident and unashamed before Him at His coming.
29 STF Ako znate da je on pravednik, poznajte da je i svaki koji иini ono љto je pravo, od njega roрen. BSB BSB: If you know that He is righteous, you also know that everyone who practices righteousness has been born of Him.
