2 STF i hodite u ljubavi kao љto je i Krist ljubio vas i sebe predao za nas kao prinos i ћrtvu Bogu na ugodan miris. BSB BSB: and walk in love, just as Christ loved us and gave Himself up for us as a fragrant sacrificial offering to God.
3 STF A bludnost i svaka necistoca ili pohlepa neka se i ne spominje medu vama, kako dolikuje svetima! BSB BSB: But among you, as is proper among the saints, there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed.
4 STF Ni prostota, ni ludorija, ni dvosmislica, љto se ne prilici, nego radije zahvaljivanje! BSB BSB: Nor should there be obscenity, foolish talk, or crude joking, which are out of character, but rather thanksgiving.
5 STF Jer dobro znajte ovo: nijedan bludnik, ili bestidnik, ili pohlepnik- taj idolopoklonik- nema baљtine u kraljevstvu Kristovu i Boћjemu. BSB BSB: For of this you can be sure: No immoral, impure, or greedy person (that is, an idolater) has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.
6 STF Nitko neka vas ispraznim rijecima ne zavarava: zbog toga dolazi gnjev Boћji na sinove neposluљne. BSB BSB: Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of such things the wrath of God is coming on the sons of disobedience.
7 STF Nemajte dakle niљta s njima! BSB BSB: Therefore do not be partakers with them.
8 STF Da, nekoc bijaste tama, a sada ste svjetlost u Gospodinu: kao djeca svjetlosti hodite- BSB BSB: For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light,
9 STF plod je svjetlosti svaka dobrota, pravednost i istina- BSB BSB: for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness, and truth.
10 STF i odlucite se za ono љto je milo Gospodinu. BSB BSB: Test and prove what pleases the Lord.
11 STF A nemajte udjela u jalovim djelima tame, nego ih dapace raskrinkavajte, BSB BSB: Have no fellowship with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them.
12 STF jer љto potajno cine, sramota je i govoriti. BSB BSB: For it is shameful even to mention what the disobedient do in secret.
13 STF A sve љto se raskrinka, pod svjetloљcu postaje sjajno; љto je pak sjajno, svjetlost je. BSB BSB: But everything exposed by the light becomes visible, for everything that is illuminated becomes a light itself.
14 STF Zato veli: "Probudi se, ti љto spavaљ, ustani od mrtvih i zasvijetljet ce ti Krist." BSB BSB: So it is said: “Wake up, O sleeper, rise up from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.”
15 STF Razmotrite dakle pomno kako ћivite! Ne kao ludi, nego kao mudri! BSB BSB: Pay careful attention, then, to how you walk, not as unwise but as wise,
16 STF Iskupljujte vrijeme jer dani su zli! BSB BSB: redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
17 STF Zato ne budite nerazumni, nego shvatite љto je volja Gospodnja! BSB BSB: Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is.
18 STF I ne opijajte se vinom u kojem je razuzdanost, nego- punite se Duhom! BSB BSB: Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to reckless indiscretion. Instead, be filled with the Spirit.
19 STF Razgovarajte medu sobom psalmima, hvalospjevima i duhovnim pjesmama! Pjevajte i slavite Gospodina u svom srcu! BSB BSB: Speak to one another with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs. Sing and make music in your hearts to the Lord,
20 STF Svagda i za sve zahvaljujte Bogu i Ocu u imenu Gospodina naљega Isusa Krista! BSB BSB: always giving thanks to God the Father for everything in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
21 STF Podloћni budite jedni drugima u strahu Kristovu! BSB BSB: Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ.
22 STF Ћene svojim muћevima kao Gospodinu! BSB BSB: Wives, submit to your husbands as to the Lord.
23 STF Jer muћ je glava ћene kao i Krist Glava Crkve- On, Spasitelj Tijela. BSB BSB: For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, His body, of which He is the Savior.
24 STF Pa kao љto se Crkva podlaћe Kristu, tako i ћene muћevima u svemu! BSB BSB: Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything.
26 STF da je posveti, ocistivљi je kupelji vode uz rijec BSB BSB: to sanctify her, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word,
27 STF te sebi predvede Crkvu slavnu, bez ljage i nabora ili cega takva, nego da bude sveta i bez mane. BSB BSB: and to present her to Himself as a glorious church, without stain or wrinkle or any such blemish, but holy and blameless.
28 STF Tako treba da i muћevi ljube svoje ћene kao svoja tijela. Tko ljubi svoju ћenu, sebe ljubi. BSB BSB: In the same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself.
29 STF Ta nitko nikada ne mrzi svoga tijela, nego ga hrani i njeguje kao i Krist Crkvu. BSB BSB: Indeed, no one ever hated his own body, but he nourishes and cherishes it, just as Christ does the church.
30 STF Doista, mi smo udovi njegova Tijela! BSB BSB: For we are members of His body.
31 STF Stoga ce covjek ostaviti oca i majku da prione uza svoju ћenu; dvoje njih bit ce jedno tijelo. BSB BSB: “For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.”
32 STF Otajstvo je to veliko! Ja smjeram na Krista i na Crkvu. BSB BSB: This mystery is profound, but I am speaking about Christ and the church.
33 STF Dakle, neka svaki od vas ljubi svoju ћenu kao samog sebe, a ћena neka poљtuje svog muћa. BSB BSB: Nevertheless, each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband.
