4 STF Joљ se niste do krvi protivili u borbi protiv greha, BSB BSB: In your struggle against sin, you have not yet resisted to the point of shedding your blood.
5 STF i zaboravili ste savet koji vam kao sinovima govori: "Sine moj, ne preziri karanja Gospodnjeg, niti kloni kad te on pokara; BSB BSB: And you have forgotten the exhortation that addresses you as sons: “My son, do not take lightly the discipline of the Lord, and do not lose heart when He rebukes you.
6 STF jer koga ljubi Gospod, onoga i kara, i bije svakoga sina koga prima". BSB BSB: For the Lord disciplines the one He loves, and He chastises every son He receives.”
7 STF Ako trpite karanje, kao sa sinovima postupa s vama Bog. Jer gde je sin koga otac ne kara? BSB BSB: Endure suffering as discipline; God is treating you as sons. For what son is not disciplined by his father?
8 STF Ako li ste bez karanja, u kome svi dobiљe deo, onda ste kopilad, a ne sinovi. BSB BSB: If you do not experience discipline like everyone else, then you are illegitimate children and not true sons.
9 STF Dalje: karali su nas naљi telesni oci i sluљali smo ih; kako da ne sluљamo Oca duhova, da bi ћiveli? BSB BSB: Furthermore, we have all had earthly fathers who disciplined us, and we respected them. Should we not much more submit to the Father of our spirits and live?
10 STF Oni nas karahu kratko vreme kako im se svidelo, a ovaj za korisno, da dobijemo deo od njegove svetosti. BSB BSB: Our fathers disciplined us for a short time as they thought best, but God disciplines us for our good, so that we may share in His holiness.

BSB BSB: No discipline seems enjoyable at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it yields a harvest of righteousness and peace to those who have been trained by it.
12 STF Zato "ispravite klonule ruke i iznemogla kolena" BSB BSB: Therefore strengthen your limp hands and weak knees.
13 STF i "poravnite put za noge svoje", da ne bi ono љto je hromo, iљиaљilo nogu, nego da se joљ izleиi. BSB BSB: Make straight paths for your feet, so that the lame may not be disabled, but rather healed.
14 STF Teћite za mirom sa svima, i za svetoљжu, bez koje niko neжe videti Gospoda. BSB BSB: Pursue peace with everyone, as well as holiness, without which no one will see the Lord.
15 STF Gledajte da ko ne ostane bez blagodati Boћje, a ne uzraste kakav gorak koren i ne napravi nered, i da se njime ne opogane mnogi, BSB BSB: See to it that no one falls short of the grace of God, and that no root of bitterness springs up to cause trouble and defile many.
16 STF da ne bude ko bludnik ili иovek ovoga sveta, kao Isav, koji je za jedno jelo dao pravo svoga prvorodstva. BSB BSB: See to it that no one is sexually immoral, or is godless like Esau, who for a single meal sold his birthright.
17 STF Jer znate da je posle, kad je hteo da nasledi blagoslov, odbijen- jer ne naрe mesta pokajanju, iako ga je i sa suzama traћio. BSB BSB: For you know that afterward, when he wanted to inherit the blessing, he was rejected. He could find no ground for repentance, though he sought the blessing with tears.
18 STF Jer niste pristupili gori koja se moћe opipati i koja gori, mraku, pomrиini, oluji, BSB BSB: For you have not come to a mountain that can be touched and that is burning with fire; to darkness, gloom, and storm;

23 STF i crkvi prvenaca koji su napisani na nebu, Bogu, sudiji svih, i duhovima pokojnih pravednika, BSB BSB: in joyful assembly, to the congregation of the firstborn, enrolled in heaven. You have come to God the Judge of all, to the spirits of the righteous made perfect,
24 STF Isusu, posredniku novoga saveza, i krvi kropljenja, koja bolje govori nego li Aveljeva. BSB BSB: to Jesus the mediator of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood that speaks a better word than the blood of Abel.
25 STF Gledajte da ne odbijete onoga koji govori: jer, kad oni nisu utekli koji su odbili onoga koji je govorio na zemlji, a kamo li жemo mi, ako se uklanjamo od onoga koji govori s neba. BSB BSB: See to it that you do not refuse Him who speaks. For if the people did not escape when they refused Him who warned them on earth, how much less will we escape if we reject Him who warns us from heaven?

28 STF Zato, primajuжi carstvo nepokolebljivo, budimo zahvalni i sluћimo tako Bogu po njegovoj volji, s poљtovanjem i sa strahom: BSB BSB: Therefore, since we are receiving an unshakable kingdom, let us be filled with gratitude, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe.
29 STF jer je Bog naљ oganj koji spaljuje. BSB BSB: “For our God is a consuming fire.”
