2 STF Ne odbaci Bog naroda svoga, koji napred izabra. Ili ne znate љta govori pismo za Iliju, kako se tuћi Bogu na Izrailja? BSB BSB: God did not reject His people, whom He foreknew. Do you not know what the Scripture says about Elijah, how he appealed to God against Israel:
3 STF "Gospode, proroke tvoje pobiљe, oltare tvoje razoriљe, i ja ostah jedan i hoжe da me ubiju". BSB BSB: “Lord, they have killed Your prophets and torn down Your altars. I am the only one left, and they are seeking my life as well”?
4 STF Ali љta mu veli Boћji odgovor? "Ostavih sebi (joљ) sedam hiljada ljudi koji ne prekloniљe kolena pred Valom". BSB BSB: And what was the divine reply to him? “I have reserved for Myself seven thousand men who have not bowed the knee to Baal.”
5 STF Pa tako ima i danas jedan ostatak po izboru blagodati: BSB BSB: In the same way, at the present time there is a remnant chosen by grace.
6 STF a ako je blagodaжu (odabran), nije po delima- jer blagodat veж ne bi bila blagodat. BSB BSB: And if it is by grace, then it is no longer by works. Otherwise, grace would no longer be grace.
7 STF Љta, dakle? Љto Izrailj traћi, to ne dobi, a izbor dobi; ostali, pak, odrveniљe, BSB BSB: What then? What Israel was seeking, it failed to obtain, but the elect did. The others were hardened,
8 STF kao љto stoji napisano: "Dade im Bog duha bunovnog, oиi da ne vide i uљi da ne иuju, do danaљnjega dana". BSB BSB: as it is written: “God gave them a spirit of stupor, eyes that could not see, and ears that could not hear, to this very day.”
9 STF I David govori: "Da bude trepeza njihova zamka i klopka, sablazan i plata njima; BSB BSB: And David says: “May their table become a snare and a trap, a stumbling block and a retribution to them.
10 STF da se njihove oиi pomraиe da ne vide, i leрa njihova jednako da su pognuti!" BSB BSB: May their eyes be darkened so they cannot see, and their backs be bent forever.”
11 STF Pitam, dakle: Jesu li se spotakli da padnu (zauvek)? Boћe saиuvaj! Nego je njihovim padom spasenje doљlo k neznaboљcima, da bi se oni razdraћili. BSB BSB: I ask then, did they stumble so as to fall beyond recovery? Certainly not! However, because of their trespass, salvation has come to the Gentiles to make Israel jealous.
12 STF A kad je njihov pad bogatstvo svetu i njihovo zaostajanje bogatstvo neznaboљcima, љta tek kad oni svi uрu u carstvo Boћje! BSB BSB: But if their trespass means riches for the world, and their failure means riches for the Gentiles, how much greater riches will their fullness bring!
13 STF A sad vama govorim, neznaboљcima! Kao apostol neznaboћaca, hvalim svoju sluћbu, BSB BSB: I am speaking to you Gentiles. Inasmuch as I am the apostle to the Gentiles, I magnify my ministry
14 STF ne bih li kako razdraћio svoj rod i spasao neke od njih. BSB BSB: in the hope that I may provoke my own people to jealousy and save some of them.
15 STF Jer kad je (veж) njihovo odbacivanje pomirenje svetu, љta жe biti njihovo primanje, osim ћivot iz mrtvih? BSB BSB: For if their rejection is the reconciliation of the world, what will their acceptance be but life from the dead?
16 STF Ako je prvi hleb svet, onda je i sve testo; i ako je koren svet, onda su i grane. BSB BSB: If the first part of the dough is holy, so is the whole batch; if the root is holy, so are the branches.
17 STF Ako li se neke od grana odlomiљe, i ti, koji si divlja maslina, pricepio si se na njih i postao si zajedniиar u masnome korenu masline, BSB BSB: Now if some branches have been broken off, and you, a wild olive shoot, have been grafted in among the others to share in the nourishment of the olive root,
18 STF nemoj se ponositi od grana! Ako li se ponosiљ, (znaj): ne nosiљ ti korena, nego koren tebe. BSB BSB: do not boast over those branches. If you do, remember this: You do not support the root, but the root supports you.
19 STF Reжi жeљ: Odlomiљe se grane da se ja pricepim. BSB BSB: You will say then, “Branches were broken off so that I could be grafted in.”
20 STF Dobro- neverovanjem se odlomiљe, a ti verom stojiљ. Ne ponosi se, nego se boj! BSB BSB: That is correct: They were broken off because of unbelief, but you stand by faith. Do not be arrogant, but be afraid.
21 STF Jer, kad Bog prirodnih grana ne poљtede, neжe ni tebe, poљtedeti. BSB BSB: For if God did not spare the natural branches, He will certainly not spare you either.
22 STF Gledaj, dakle, dobrotu i ћestinu Boћju: ћestina prema onima koji su pali, a prema tebi dobrota Boћja, ako ostaneљ u dobroti; inaиe жeљ i ti biti odseиen. BSB BSB: Take notice, therefore, of the kindness and severity of God: severity to those who fell, but kindness to you, if you continue in His kindness. Otherwise you also will be cut off.
23 STF A i oni, ako ne ostanu u neverovanju, biжe (opet) pricepljeni; jer ih je Bog kadar opet pricepiti. BSB BSB: And if they do not persist in unbelief, they will be grafted in, for God is able to graft them in again.
24 STF Jer, kad si ti odseиen od roрene divlje masline i pricepljen si na neroрenu pitomu maslinu, koliko жe pre ovi biti pricepljeni na roрenu svoju maslinu! BSB BSB: For if you were cut from a wild olive tree, and contrary to nature were grafted into one that is cultivated, how much more readily will these, the natural branches, be grafted into their own olive tree!
26 STF i tako жe se spasti sav Izrailj, kao љto je napisano: "Doжi жe iz Siona izbavitelj, odvratiжe bezboћnost od Jakova, BSB BSB: And so all Israel will be saved, as it is written: “The Deliverer will come from Zion; He will remove godlessness from Jacob.
27 STF i ovo je moj savez s njima kad uniљtim grehe njihove". BSB BSB: And this is My covenant with them when I take away their sins.”
29 STF Jer se Bog neжe pokajati za svoje darove i zvanje. BSB BSB: For God’s gifts and His call are irrevocable.
30 STF Kao љto ste, naime, nekad vi bili nepokorni Bogu, a sad biste pomilovani zbog njihove nepokornosti, BSB BSB: Just as you who formerly disobeyed God have now received mercy through their disobedience,
31 STF tako su i ovi sad nepokorni radi vaљeg pomilovanja, da bi i oni sad bili pomilovani. BSB BSB: so they too have now disobeyed, in order that they too may now receive mercy through the mercy shown to you.
32 STF Jer Bog zatvori sve u nepokornost, da sve pomiluje. BSB BSB: For God has consigned everyone to disobedience so that He may have mercy on everyone.
34 STF Jer "ko pozna misao Gospodnju? Ili ko mu bi savetnik? BSB BSB: “Who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has been His counselor?”
35 STF Ili ko mu dade љto, da mu se vrati? BSB BSB: “Who has first given to God, that God should repay him?”
36 STF Jer je od njega, kroz njega i k njemu sve. Njemu veиna slava! Amin. BSB BSB: For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things. To Him be the glory forever! Amen.
