9 ULB தன் முன்னோர்கள் செய்ததுபோல, கர்த்தரின் பார்வைக்குப் பொல்லாப்பானதைச் செய்தான்; இஸ்ரவேலைப் பாவம்செய்யவைத்த நேபாத்தின் மகனாகிய யெரொபெயாமின் பாவங்களைவிட்டு அவன் விலகவில்லை. BSB BSB: And he did evil in the sight of the LORD, as his fathers had done. He did not turn away from the sins that Jeroboam son of Nebat had caused Israel to commit.
10 ULB யாபேசின் மகனாகிய சல்லூம் அவனுக்கு விரோதமாக சதித்திட்டம் தீட்டி, மக்களுக்கு முன்பாக அவனை வெட்டிக் கொன்றுபோட்டு, அவனுடைய இடத்தில் ராஜாவானான். BSB BSB: Then Shallum son of Jabesh conspired against Zechariah, struck him down and killed him in front of the people, and reigned in his place.

13 ULB யூதாவின் ராஜாவாகிய உசியாவின் முப்பத்தொன்பதாம் வருடத்தில் யாபேசின் மகனாகிய சல்லூம் ராஜாவாகி, சமாரியாவில் ஒரு மாதம் அரசாண்டான். BSB BSB: In the thirty-ninth year of Uzziah’s reign over Judah, Shallum son of Jabesh became king, and he reigned in Samaria one full month.
14 ULB காதியின் மகனாகிய மெனாகேம் திர்சாவிலிருந்து சமாரியாவுக்கு வந்து, யாபேசின் மகனாகிய சல்லூமை சமாரியாவிலே வெட்டிக் கொன்றுபோட்டு, அவனுடைய இடத்தில் ராஜாவானான். BSB BSB: Then Menahem son of Gadi went up from Tirzah to Samaria, struck down and killed Shallum son of Jabesh, and reigned in his place.

BSB BSB: In the thirty-ninth year of Azariah’s reign over Judah, Menahem son of Gadi became king of Israel, and he reigned in Samaria ten years.
18 ULB இஸ்ரவேலைப் பாவம்செய்யவைத்த நேபாத்தின் மகனாகிய யெரொபெயாமின் பாவங்களைவிட்டு விலகாதிருந்தான். BSB BSB: And he did evil in the sight of the LORD, and throughout his reign he did not turn away from the sins that Jeroboam son of Nebat had caused Israel to commit.
20 ULB இந்தப் பணத்தை அசீரியாவின் ராஜாவிற்குக் கொடுக்கும்படி, மெனாகேம் இஸ்ரவேலில் பலத்த ஐசுவரியவான்களிடத்தில் ஆள் ஒன்றிற்கு ஐம்பது வெள்ளிச் சேக்கல் சுமத்தினான்; அப்படியே அசீரியாவின் ராஜா தேசத்திலே நிற்காமல் திரும்பிப்போனான். BSB BSB: Menahem exacted this money from each of the wealthy men of Israel—fifty shekels of silver from each man—to give to the king of Assyria. So the king of Assyria withdrew and did not remain in the land.

BSB BSB: Then his officer, Pekah son of Remaliah, conspired against him along with Argob, Arieh, and fifty men of Gilead. And at the citadel of the king’s palace in Samaria, Pekah struck down and killed Pekahiah and reigned in his place.
