1 ULB ரெமலியாவின் மகனாகிய பெக்காவின் பதினேழாம் வருடத்தில் யூதாவின் ராஜாவாகிய யோதாமின் மகன் ஆகாஸ் ராஜாவானான். BSB BSB: In the seventeenth year of Pekah son of Remaliah, Ahaz son of Jotham became king of Judah.
2 ULB ஆகாஸ் ராஜாவாகிறபோது இருபது வயதாயிருந்து, எருசலேமிலே பதினாறுவருடங்கள் அரசாண்டான்; அவன் தன் தகப்பனாகிய தாவீதைப்போல் தன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரின் பார்வைக்குச் செம்மையானதைச் செய்யாமல், BSB BSB: Ahaz was twenty years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem sixteen years. And unlike David his father, he did not do what was right in the eyes of the LORD his God.
3 ULB இஸ்ரவேல் ராஜாக்களின் வழியிலே நடந்து, கர்த்தர் இஸ்ரவேல் மக்களுக்கு முன்பாகத் துரத்தின மக்களுடைய அருவருப்புகளின்படியே தன் மகன் முதற்கொண்டு அக்கினியில் சுட்டெரித்துப்போட்டான். BSB BSB: Instead, he walked in the ways of the kings of Israel and even sacrificed his son in the fire, according to the abominations of the nations that the LORD had driven out before the Israelites.
4 ULB மேடைகளிலும் மலைகளின்மேலும் பச்சையான சகல மரத்தின் கீழும் பலியிட்டுத் தூபம் காட்டிவந்தான். BSB BSB: And he sacrificed and burned incense on the high places, on the hills, and under every green tree.
5 ULB அப்பொழுது சீரியாவின் ராஜாவாகிய ரேத்சீனும், இஸ்ரவேலின் ராஜாவாகிய ரெமலியாவின் மகன் பெக்காவும், எருசலேமின்மேல் போர்செய்யவந்து ஆகாசை முற்றுகையிட்டார்கள்; ஆனாலும் வெற்றிபெற முடியவில்லை. BSB BSB: Then Rezin king of Aram and Pekah son of Remaliah king of Israel came up to wage war against Jerusalem. They besieged Ahaz but could not overcome him.
6 ULB அக்காலத்திலே சீரியாவின் ராஜாவாகிய ரேத்சீன் ஏலாத்தைத் திரும்பச் சீரியாவோடே சேர்த்துக்கொண்டு. யூதர்களை ஏலாத்திலிருந்து துரத்தினான்; சீரியர்கள் ஏலாத்திற்கு வந்து இந்நாள்வரைக்கும் அவ்விடத்திலே குடியிருக்கிறார்கள். BSB BSB: At that time Rezin king of Aram recovered Elath for Aram, drove out the men of Judah, and sent the Edomites into Elath, where they live to this day.
8 ULB கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்திலும் ராஜாவின் அரண்மனைப் பொக்கிஷங்களிலும் கிடைத்த வெள்ளியையும் பொன்னையும் எடுத்து, அசீரியாவின் ராஜாவிற்குக் காணிக்கையாக அனுப்பினான். BSB BSB: Ahaz also took the silver and gold found in the house of the LORD and in the treasuries of the king’s palace, and he sent it as a gift to the king of Assyria.
9 ULB அசீரியா ராஜா அவனுக்குச் செவிகொடுத்து, தமஸ்குவுக்குப்போய் அதைப் பிடித்து, அதின் குடிமக்களைக் கீர் என்னும் பட்டணத்திற்குச் சிறைபிடித்துக்கொண்டுபோய், ரேத்சீனைக் கொன்றுபோட்டான். BSB BSB: So the king of Assyria responded to him, marched up to Damascus, and captured it. He took its people to Kir as captives and put Rezin to death.
10 ULB அப்பொழுது ராஜாவாகிய ஆகாஸ் தமஸ்குவிலுள்ள அசீரியாவின் ராஜாவாகிய திகிலாத்பிலேசருக்கு எதிர்கொண்டுபோய்த் தமஸ்குவிலுள்ள பலிபீடத்தைக் கண்டான். ராஜாவாகிய ஆகாஸ் அந்தப் பலிபீடத்தின் தோற்றத்தையும், அதினுடைய சகல வேலைப்பாடாகிய அதின் மாதிரியையும் ஆசாரியனாகிய உரியாவுக்கு அனுப்பினான். BSB BSB: Then King Ahaz went to Damascus to meet Tiglath-pileser king of Assyria. On seeing the altar in Damascus, King Ahaz sent Uriah the priest a model of the altar and complete plans for its construction.
11 ULB ராஜாவாகிய ஆகாஸ் தமஸ்குவிலிருந்து வருகிறதற்குள் ஆசாரியனாகிய உரியா அதைப்போலவே ஒரு பலிபீடத்தைக் கட்டி, ராஜாவாகிய ஆகாஸ் தமஸ்குவிலிருந்து அனுப்பின கட்டளையின்படியெல்லாம் செய்தான். BSB BSB: And Uriah the priest built the altar according to all the instructions King Ahaz had sent from Damascus, and he completed it before King Ahaz returned.

14 ULB கர்த்தரின் சந்நிதியிலிருந்த வெண்கலப் பலிபீடத்தை அவன் தன் பலிபீடத்திற்கும் கர்த்தரின் ஆலயத்திற்கும் நடுவே ஆலயத்தின் முன்புறத்திலிருந்து எடுத்து, அதைத் தன் பலிபீடத்திற்கு வடபுறமாக வைத்தான். BSB BSB: He also took the bronze altar that stood before the LORD from the front of the temple (between the new altar and the house of the LORD) and he put it on the north side of the new altar.
15 ULB ராஜாவாகிய ஆகாஸ் ஆசாரியனாகிய உரியாவை நோக்கி: இந்தப் பெரிய பலிபீடத்தின்மேல் நீ காலை சர்வாங்க தகனபலியையும், மாலை போஜனபலியையும், ராஜாவின் சர்வாங்க தகனபலியையும், அவருடைய போஜனபலியையும், தேசத்தினுடைய சகல மக்களுடைய சர்வாங்க தகனபலி, போஜனபலி, பானபலி ஆகியவற்றைச் செலுத்தி, அதின்மேல் சர்வாங்க தகனங்களின் சகல இரத்தத்தையும், பலிகளின் சகல இரத்தத்தையும் தெளிப்பாயாக; அந்த வெண்கலப் பலிபீடமோ, நான் உதவி கேட்கிறதற்கு உதவும் என்றான். BSB BSB: Then King Ahaz commanded Uriah the priest, “Offer on the great altar the morning burnt offering, the evening grain offering, and the king’s burnt offering and grain offering, as well as the burnt offerings, grain offerings, and drink offerings of all the people of the land. Splatter on the altar all the blood of the burnt offerings and sacrifices. But I will use the bronze altar to seek guidance.”
16 ULB ராஜாவாகிய ஆகாஸ் கட்டளையிட்டபடியெல்லாம் ஆசாரியனாகிய உரியா செய்தான். BSB BSB: So Uriah the priest did just as King Ahaz had commanded.
17 ULB பின்னும் ராஜாவாகிய ஆகாஸ் ஆதாரங்களின் பலகைகளை அகற்றிவிட்டு, அவைகளின் மேலிருந்த கொப்பரைகளை எடுத்து, கடல்தொட்டியைக் கீழே நிற்கிற வெண்கல காளைகளின்மேலிருந்து இறக்கி, அதைக் கற்களின் தளவரிசையிலே வைத்து, BSB BSB: King Ahaz also cut off the frames of the movable stands and removed the bronze basin from each of them. He took down the Sea from the bronze oxen that were under it and put it on a stone base.

BSB BSB: And on account of the king of Assyria, he removed the Sabbath canopy they had built in the temple and closed the royal entryway outside the house of the LORD.
19 ULB ஆகாஸ் செய்த மற்ற செயல்பாடுகள் யூதாவுடைய ராஜாக்களின் நாளாகமப் புத்தகத்தில் எழுதப்பட்டிருக்கிறது. BSB BSB: As for the rest of the acts of Ahaz, along with his accomplishments, are they not written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Judah?
