1 ULB ராஜாவாகிய நேபுகாத்நேச்சார் அறுபதுமுழ உயரமும், ஆறுமுழ அகலமுமான ஒருபொற்சிலையை உண்டாக்கி, பாபிலோன் மாகாணத்திலிருக்கிற தூரா என்னும் சமபூமியிலே நிறுத்தினான். BSB BSB: King Nebuchadnezzar made a golden statue sixty cubits high and six cubits wide, and he set it up on the plain of Dura in the province of Babylon.
2 ULB பின்பு ராஜாவாகிய நேபுகாத்நேச்சார் தேசாதிபதிகளையும், அதிகாரிகளையும், தலைவர்களையும், நியாயாதிபதிகளையும், பொக்கிஷக்காரர்களையும், நீதிசாஸ்திரிகளையும், விசாரிப்புக்காரர்களையும், நாடுகளிலுள்ள அதிகாரிகள் யாவரையும் நேபுகாத்நேச்சார் ராஜா நிறுத்தின சிலையின் பிரதிஷ்டைக்கு வந்து சேரும்படி அழைப்பிதழ் அனுப்பினான். BSB BSB: Then King Nebuchadnezzar sent word to assemble the satraps, prefects, governors, advisers, treasurers, judges, magistrates, and all the other officials of the provinces to attend the dedication of the statue he had set up.
3 ULB அப்பொழுது தேசாதிபதிகளும், அதிகாரிகளும், தலைவர்களும், நியாயாதிபதிகளும், பொக்கிஷக்காரர்களும், நீதிபதிகளும், நாடுகளிலுள்ள அதிகாரிகள் யாவரும், ராஜாவாகிய நேபுகாத்நேச்சார் நிறுத்தின சிலையின் பிரதிஷ்டைக்கு வந்து சேர்ந்து, நேபுகாத்நேச்சார் நிறுத்தின சிலைக்கு முன்பாக நின்றார்கள். BSB BSB: So the satraps, prefects, governors, advisers, treasurers, judges, magistrates, and all the rulers of the provinces assembled for the dedication of the statue that King Nebuchadnezzar had set up, and they stood before it.

BSB BSB: Therefore, as soon as all the people heard the sound of the horn, flute, zither, lyre, harp, and all kinds of music, the people of every nation and language would fall down and worship the golden statue that King Nebuchadnezzar had set up.
8 ULB அந்நேரத்தில் கல்தேயரில் சிலர் ராஜசமுகத்தில் வந்து, யூதர்மேல் குற்றம்சுமத்தி, BSB BSB: At this time some astrologers came forward and maliciously accused the Jews,
9 ULB ராஜாவாகிய நேபுகாத்நேச்சாரை நோக்கி: ராஜாவே, நீர் என்றும் வாழ்க. BSB BSB: saying to King Nebuchadnezzar, “O king, may you live forever!
10 ULB எக்காளம், நாதசுரம், கின்னரம், வீணை, சுரமண்டலம், தம்புரு முதலான கீதவாத்தியங்களின் சத்தத்தையும் கேட்கிற எந்த மனிதனும் கீழேவிழுந்து, பொற்சிலையைப் பணிந்துகொள்ளவேண்டுமென்றும், BSB BSB: You, O king, have issued a decree that everyone who hears the sound of the horn, flute, zither, lyre, harp, pipes, and all kinds of music must fall down and worship the golden statue,
11 ULB எவனாகிலும் கீழேவிழுந்து பணிந்துகொள்ளாவிட்டால், அவன் எரிகிற அக்கினிச்சூளையின் நடுவிலே போடப்படவேண்டுமென்றும், ராஜாவாகிய நீர் கட்டளையிட்டீரே. BSB BSB: and that whoever does not fall down and worship will be thrown into the blazing fiery furnace.
12 ULB பாபிலோன் மாகாணத்தின் காரியங்களை விசாரிக்கும்படி நீர் ஏற்படுத்தின சாத்ராக், மேஷாக், ஆபேத்நேகோ என்னும் யூதரான மனிதர்கள் இருக்கிறார்களே; அவர்கள் ராஜாவாகிய உம்மை மதிக்கவில்லை; அவர்கள் உம்முடைய தெய்வங்களுக்கு ஆராதனை செய்யாமலும், நீர் நிறுத்தின பொற்சிலையைப் பணிந்துகொள்ளாமலும் இருக்கிறார்கள் என்றார்கள். BSB BSB: But there are some Jews you have appointed to manage the province of Babylon—Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego—who have ignored you, O king, and have refused to serve your gods or worship the golden statue you have set up.”
13 ULB அப்பொழுது நேபுகாத்நேச்சார் கடும்கோபங்கொண்டு சாத்ராக்கையும், மேஷாக்கையும், ஆபேத்நேகோவையும் அழைத்துக்கொண்டுவரும்படி கட்டளையிட்டான்; அவர்கள் அந்த மனிதர்களை ராஜாவின் சமுகத்தில் கொண்டுவந்துவிட்டபோது, BSB BSB: Then Nebuchadnezzar, furious with rage, summoned Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. So these men were brought before the king,

But if you refuse to worship, you will be thrown at once into the blazing fiery furnace. Then what god will be able to deliver you from my hands?”
16 ULB சாத்ராக், மேஷாக், ஆபேத்நேகோ என்பவர்கள் ராஜாவை நோக்கி: நேபுகாத்நேச்சாரே, இந்தக் காரியத்தைக் குறித்து உமக்கு பதில்சொல்ல எங்களுக்கு அவசியமில்லை. BSB BSB: Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego replied to the king, “O Nebuchadnezzar, we have no need to answer you in this matter.

BSB BSB: But even if He does not, let it be known to you, O king, that we will not serve your gods or worship the golden statue you have set up.”
19 ULB அப்பொழுது நேபுகாத்நேச்சாருக்குக் மிகவும் கோபம்கொண்டு: சாத்ராக், மேஷாக், ஆபேத்நேகோ என்பவர்களுக்கு விரோதமாக அவனுடைய முகம் வேறுபட்டது; சூளையைச் சாதாரணமாகச் சூடாக்குவதைப்பார்க்கிலும் ஏழுமடங்கு அதிகமாகச் சூடாக்கும்படி கட்டளைகொடுத்து, BSB BSB: At this, Nebuchadnezzar was filled with rage, and the expression on his face changed toward Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. He gave orders to heat the furnace seven times hotter than usual,

BSB BSB: The king’s command was so urgent and the furnace so hot that the fiery flames killed the men who carried up Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego.

24 ULB அப்பொழுது ராஜாவாகிய நேபுகாத்நேச்சார் பிரமித்து, உடனடியாக எழுந்திருந்து, தன் மந்திரிமார்களை நோக்கி: மூன்று மனிதர்களை அல்லவோ கட்டுண்டவர்களாக நெருப்பிலே போட்டோம் என்றான்; அவர்கள் ராஜாவிற்கு மறுமொழியாக: ஆம், ராஜாவே என்றார்கள். BSB BSB: Suddenly King Nebuchadnezzar jumped up in amazement and asked his advisers, “Did we not throw three men, firmly bound, into the fire?” “Certainly, O king,” they replied.

BSB BSB: Then Nebuchadnezzar approached the door of the blazing fiery furnace and called out, “Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, servants of the Most High God, come out!” So Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego came out of the fire,

BSB BSB: and when the satraps, prefects, governors, and royal advisers had gathered around, they saw that the fire had no effect on the bodies of these men. Not a hair of their heads was singed, their robes were unaffected, and there was no smell of fire on them.

BSB BSB: Nebuchadnezzar declared, “Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who has sent His angel and delivered His servants who trusted in Him. They violated the king’s command and risked their lives rather than serve or worship any god except their own God.

BSB BSB: Therefore I decree that the people of any nation or language who say anything offensive against the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego will be cut into pieces and their houses reduced to rubble. For there is no other god who can deliver in this way.”
