1 ULB நான் என் மக்களின் சிறையிருப்பைத் திருப்பும்போதும், நான் இஸ்ரவேலை குணமாக்க விரும்பும்போதும், எப்பிராயீமின் அக்கிரமமும் சமாரியாவின் பொல்லாப்புகளும் வெளிப்படுத்தப்படும்; அவர்கள் வஞ்சனை செய்கிறார்கள்; திருடன் உள்ளே வருகிறான்; வெளியே கொள்ளைக்காரர்களின் கூட்டத்தார் கொள்ளையிடுகிறார்கள். BSB BSB: When I heal Israel, the iniquity of Ephraim will be exposed, as well as the crimes of Samaria. For they practice deceit and thieves break in; bandits raid in the streets.
2 ULB அவர்கள் பொல்லாப்பையெல்லாம் நான் நினைவில் வைத்திருக்கிறேன் என்று அவர்கள் தங்கள் இருதயத்தில் சிந்திக்கிறதில்லை; இப்போதும் அவர்களுடைய செயல்கள் அவர்களைச் சூழ்ந்துகொண்டது; அவைகள் என் முகத்திற்கு முன்பாக இருக்கிறது. BSB BSB: But they fail to consider in their hearts that I remember all their evil. Now their deeds are all around them; they are before My face.
3 ULB ராஜாவைத் தங்கள் பொல்லாப்பினாலும், அதிபதிகளைத் தங்கள் பொய்களினாலும் சந்தோஷப்படுத்துகிறார்கள். BSB BSB: They delight the king with their evil, and the princes with their lies.
4 ULB அவர்கள் எல்லோரும் விபசாரக்கள்ளர்; அப்பம் சுடுகிறவன் எரிக்கும் அடுப்பைப்போல் இருக்கிறார்கள்; அவன் மாவைப் பிசைந்ததுமுதல் அது புளித்துப்போகும்வரை, நெருப்பை மூட்டாமல் ஓய்ந்திருக்கிறான். BSB BSB: They are all adulterers, like an oven heated by a baker who needs not stoke the fire from the kneading to the rising of the dough.
5 ULB நம்முடைய ராஜாவின் நாளென்று சொல்லி, அதிபதிகள் திராட்சைரச தோல்பைகளால் அவனுக்கு வியாதியுண்டாக்குகிறார்கள்; பரிகாசம் செய்கிறவர்களுடன்கூட அவன் தன் கையை நீட்டுகிறான். BSB BSB: The princes are inflamed with wine on the day of our king; so he joins hands with those who mock him.
6 ULB அவர்கள் பதிவிருக்கும்போது, தங்கள் இருதயத்தை அடுப்பைப்போல் ஆயத்தப்படுத்துகிறார்கள்; அவர்களில் அடுப்புமூட்டுகிறவன் இரவுமுழுவதும் தூங்கினாலும், காலையிலோவென்றால் அது ஜூவாலிக்கிற அக்கினியாக எரியும். BSB BSB: For they prepare their heart like an oven while they lie in wait; all night their anger smolders; in the morning it blazes like a flaming fire.
7 ULB அவர்கள் எல்லோரும் அடுப்பைப்போல சூடாகி, தங்கள் நியாயாதிபதிகளை அழித்தார்கள்; அவர்களுடைய ராஜாக்கள் எல்லோரும் விழுந்தார்கள்; அவர்களில் என்னை நோக்கிக் கூப்பிடுகிறவன் ஒருவனும் இல்லை. BSB BSB: All of them are hot as an oven, and they devour their rulers. All their kings fall; not one of them calls upon Me.
8 ULB எப்பிராயீம் அந்நியமக்களோடே கலந்திருக்கிறான்; எப்பிராயீம் திருப்பிப்போடாத அப்பம். BSB BSB: Ephraim mixes with the nations; Ephraim is an unturned cake.
9 ULB அந்நியர்கள் அவனுடைய பலத்தைத் தின்கிறார்கள்; அவனோ அதை அறியான்; நரைமுடியும் அவனில் தெளித்திருக்கிறது, அவனோ அதை அறியாமல் இருக்கிறான். BSB BSB: Foreigners consume his strength, but he does not notice. Even his hair is streaked with gray, but he does not know.
10 ULB இஸ்ரவேலின் பெருமை அவர்கள் முகத்திற்கு முன்பாகச் சாட்சியிட்டாலும், அவர்கள் தங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரிடம் திரும்பாமலும், இவை எல்லாவற்றிலும் அவரைத் தேடாமலும் இருக்கிறார்கள். BSB BSB: Israel’s arrogance testifies against them, yet they do not return to the LORD their God; despite all this, they do not seek Him.
11 ULB எப்பிராயீம் பேதையான புறாவைப்போல் இருக்கிறான், அவனுக்குப் புத்தியில்லை; எகிப்தியனைக் கூப்பிடுகிறார்கள்; அசீரியனிடத்திற்கும் போகிறார்கள். BSB BSB: So Ephraim has become like a silly, senseless dove—calling out to Egypt, then turning to Assyria.
12 ULB அவர்கள் போகும்போது, என் வலையை அவர்கள்மேல் வீசுவேன்; அவர்களை ஆகாயத்துப் பறவைகளைப்போல கீழே விழச்செய்வேன்; அவர்களுடைய சபையில் கேள்விப்பட்டபடியே அவர்களைத் தண்டிப்பேன். BSB BSB: As they go, I will spread My net over them; I will bring them down like birds of the air. I will chastise them when I hear them flocking together.
13 ULB அவர்கள் என்னைவிட்டு அலைந்து திரிகிறதினால் அவர்களுக்கு ஐயோ! அவர்களுக்குக் அழிவுவரும்; எனக்கு விரோதமாக துரோகம்செய்தார்கள்; நான் அவர்களை மீட்டிருந்தும், அவர்கள் எனக்கு விரோதமாகப் பொய்பேசுகிறார்கள். BSB BSB: Woe to them, for they have strayed from Me! Destruction to them, for they have rebelled against Me! Though I would redeem them, they speak lies against Me.
14 ULB அவர்கள் தங்கள் படுக்கைகளில் அலறுகிறபோது, தங்கள் இருதயத்தில் என்னை நோக்கிக் கூப்பிடுகிறதில்லை; அவர்கள் தானியத்துக்காகவும் திராட்சைரசத்துக்காகவும் கூடுகிறார்கள்; என்னை வெறுத்து விலகிப்போகிறார்கள். BSB BSB: They do not cry out to Me from their hearts when they wail upon their beds. They slash themselves for grain and new wine, but turn away from Me.
15 ULB நான் அவர்களைத் தண்டித்தேன்; அவர்களுடைய புயங்கள் திரும்பப் பலப்படவும்செய்தேன்; ஆனாலும் எனக்கு விரோதமாகப் பொல்லாப்பு நினைக்கிறார்கள். BSB BSB: Although I trained and strengthened their arms, they plot evil against Me.
16 ULB திரும்புகிறார்கள், ஆனாலும் உன்னதமானவரிடத்திற்கு அல்ல; மோசம்போக்குகிற வில்லைப்போல் இருக்கிறார்கள்; அவர்களுடைய அதிபதிகள் தங்கள் நாவினுடைய கோபத்தினிமித்தம் பட்டயத்தால் விழுவார்கள்; இதுவே எகிப்து தேசத்தினிமித்தம் அவர்களுக்கு வரும் அவமானம். BSB BSB: They turn, but not to the Most High; they are like a faulty bow. Their leaders will fall by the sword for the cursing of their tongue; for this they will be ridiculed in the land of Egypt.
