BSB BSB: Put the ram’s horn to your lips! An eagle looms over the house of the LORD, because the people have transgressed My covenant and rebelled against My law.
2 ULB எங்கள் தேவனே, உம்மை அறிந்திருக்கிறோம் என்று சொல்லி இஸ்ரவேலர்கள் கூப்பிடுவார்கள். BSB BSB: Israel cries out to Me, “O our God, we know You!”
3 ULB ஆனாலும் இஸ்ரவேலர்கள் நன்மையை வெறுத்தார்கள்; எதிரி அவர்களைத் தொடருவான். BSB BSB: But Israel has rejected good; an enemy will pursue him.
4 ULB அவர்கள் ராஜாக்களை ஏற்படுத்திக்கொண்டார்கள், ஆனாலும் என்னாலே அல்ல; அதிபதிகளை வைத்துக்கொண்டார்கள், ஆனாலும் நான் அறியேன்; அவர்கள் வேரறுப்புண்டு போகும்படித் தங்கள் வெள்ளியினாலும் தங்கள் பொன்னினாலும் தங்களுக்கு சிலைகளைச் செய்தார்கள். BSB BSB: They set up kings, but not by Me. They make princes, but without My approval. With their silver and gold they make themselves idols, to their own destruction.
5 ULB சமாரியாவே, உன் கன்றுக்குட்டி உன்னை வெறுத்துவிடுகிறது; என் கோபம் அவர்கள்மேல் மூண்டது; எதுவரைக்கும் சுத்தமடையாமல் இருப்பார்கள்? BSB BSB: He has rejected your calf, O Samaria. My anger burns against them. How long will they be incapable of innocence?
6 ULB அதுவும் இஸ்ரவேலருடைய செய்கையே; கொல்லன் அதைச் செய்தான், ஆதலால் அது தேவன் அல்லவே, சமாரியாவின் கன்றுக்குட்டி துண்டுதுண்டாகப்போகும். BSB BSB: For this thing is from Israel—a craftsman made it, and it is not God. It will be broken to pieces, that calf of Samaria.
7 ULB அவர்கள் காற்றை விதைத்து, சூறைக்காற்றை அறுப்பார்கள்; விளைச்சல் அவர்களுக்கு இல்லை; கதிர் மாவைக் கொடுக்கமாட்டாது; கொடுத்தாலும் அந்நியர்கள் அதை விழுங்குவார்கள். BSB BSB: For they sow the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind. There is no standing grain; what sprouts fails to yield flour. Even if it should produce, the foreigners would swallow it up.
8 ULB இஸ்ரவேலர்கள் விழுங்கப்படுகிறார்கள்; அவர்கள் இனி அந்நிய மக்களுக்குள்ளே விரும்பப்படாத பாத்திரத்தைப்போல் இருப்பார்கள். BSB BSB: Israel is swallowed up! Now they are among the nations like a worthless vessel.
9 ULB அவர்கள் தனித்துத் திரிகிற காட்டுக் கழுதையைப்போல் அசீரியர்களிடம் போனார்கள்; எப்பிராயீமர்கள் நேசரைக் கூலிக்கு அமர்த்திக்கொண்டார்கள். BSB BSB: For they have gone up to Assyria like a wild donkey on its own. Ephraim has hired lovers.
10 ULB அவர்கள் அன்னியமக்களைக் கூலிக்கு அமர்த்திக்கொண்டாலும், இப்பொழுது நான் அவர்களைக் கூட்டுவேன்; அதிபதிகளின் ராஜா சுமத்தும் சுமையினால் அவர்கள் கொஞ்சகாலத்திற்குள்ளே அகப்படுவார்கள். BSB BSB: Though they hire allies among the nations, I will now round them up, and they will begin to diminish under the oppression of the king of princes.
11 ULB எப்பிராயீம் பாவம் செய்வதற்கேதுவாக பலிபீடங்களைப் பெருகச்செய்தார்கள்; ஆதலால் பலிபீடங்களே அவர்கள் பாவம்செய்வதற்கு ஏதுவாகும். BSB BSB: Though Ephraim multiplied the altars for sin, they became his altars for sinning.

13 ULB எனக்குச் செலுத்தும் பலிகளின் மாம்சத்தை அவர்கள் பலியிட்டு சாப்பிடுகிறார்கள்; கர்த்தர் அவர்கள்மேல் பிரியமாக இருக்கமாட்டார்; அவர்களுடைய அக்கிரமத்தை அவர் நினைத்து, அவர்களுடைய பாவத்தை விசாரிக்கும்போதோவெனில், அவர்கள் எகிப்திற்குத் திரும்பிப்போவார்கள். BSB BSB: Though they offer sacrifices as gifts to Me, and though they eat the meat, the LORD does not accept them. Now He will remember their iniquity and punish their sins: They will return to Egypt.
14 ULB இஸ்ரவேல் தன்னை உண்டாக்கினவரை மறந்து கோவில்களைக் கட்டுகிறான்; யூதா பாதுகாப்பான பட்டணங்களைப் பெருகச்செய்கிறான்; ஆனாலும் நான் அதின் நகரங்களில் அக்கினியை வரச்செய்வேன்; அது அவைகளின் கோவில்களைச் சுட்டெரிக்கும். BSB BSB: Israel has forgotten his Maker and built palaces; Judah has multiplied its fortified cities. But I will send fire upon their cities, and it will consume their citadels.
