5 ULB பசித்தவன் அவனுடைய விளைச்சலை முட்செடிகளுக்குள் இருந்து பறித்துச் சாப்பிட்டான்; பேராசைக்காரன் அவனுடைய செல்வத்தை விழுங்கினான். BSB BSB: The hungry consume his harvest, taking it even from the thorns, and the thirsty pant after his wealth.
6 ULB தீமை புழுதியிலிருந்து உண்டாகிறதுமில்லை; வருத்தம் மண்ணிலிருந்து முளைக்கிறதுமில்லை. BSB BSB: For distress does not spring from the dust, and trouble does not sprout from the ground.
7 ULB தீப்பொறிகள் மேலே பறக்கிறதுபோல, மனிதன் வருத்தம் அநுபவிக்கப் பிறந்திருக்கிறான். BSB BSB: Yet man is born to trouble as surely as sparks fly upward.

14 ULB அவர்கள் பகற்காலத்திலே இருளுக்குள்ளாகி, மத்தியான வேளையிலே இரவில் தடவுகிறதுபோல தடவி அலைகிறார்கள். BSB BSB: They encounter darkness by day and grope at noon as in the night.
15 ULB ஆனாலும் எளியவனை அவர்கள் வாயிலிருக்கிற பட்டயத்திற்கும், பெலவானின் கைக்கும் தடுத்து காப்பாற்றுகிறார். BSB BSB: He saves the needy from the sword in their mouth and from the clutches of the powerful.
16 ULB அதினால் தரித்திரனுக்கு நம்பிக்கை உண்டு; தீமையானது தன் வாயை மூடும். BSB BSB: So the poor have hope, and injustice shuts its mouth.
17 ULB இதோ, தேவன் தண்டிக்கிற மனிதன் பாக்கியவான்; ஆகையால் சர்வவல்லவருடைய சிட்சையை அற்பமாக எண்ணாதிரும். BSB BSB: Blessed indeed is the man whom God corrects; so do not despise the discipline of the Almighty.
18 ULB அவர் காயப்படுத்திக் காயம் கட்டுகிறார்; அவர் அடிக்கிறார், அவருடைய கை ஆற்றுகிறது. BSB BSB: For He wounds, but He also binds; He strikes, but His hands also heal.
19 ULB ஆறு இக்கட்டுகளுக்கு உம்மை விலக்கிக்காப்பார்; ஏழாவதிலும் பொல்லாப்பு உம்மைத் தொடாது. BSB BSB: He will rescue you from six calamities; no harm will touch you in seven.

21 ULB நாவின் சவுக்குக்கும் மறைக்கப்படுவீர்; அழிவு வரும்போதும் பயப்படாமலிருப்பீர். BSB BSB: You will be hidden from the scourge of the tongue, and will not fear havoc when it comes.
22 ULB அழிவையும் பஞ்சத்தையும் பார்த்து சிரிப்பீர்கள்; காட்டுமிருகங்களுக்கும் பயப்படாமலிருப்பீர்கள். BSB BSB: You will laugh at destruction and famine, and need not fear the beasts of the earth.
23 ULB வெளியின் கற்களுடனும் உமக்கு உடன்படிக்கையிருக்கும்; வெளியின் மிருகங்களும் உம்முடன் சமாதானமாயிருக்கும். BSB BSB: For you will have a covenant with the stones of the field, and the wild animals will be at peace with you.
24 ULB உம்முடைய குடியிருப்பு சமாதானத்துடன் இருக்கக் காண்பீர்; உம்முடைய குடியிருக்கும் இடத்தை விசாரிக்கும்போது குறைவைக் காணமாட்டீர். BSB BSB: You will know that your tent is secure, and find nothing amiss when inspecting your home.
25 ULB உம்முடைய சந்ததி பெருகி, உம்முடைய சந்ததியார் பூமியின் தாவரங்களைப்போல இருப்பார்கள் என்பதை அறிந்துகொள்வீர்கள். BSB BSB: You will know that your offspring will be many, your descendants like the grass of the earth.
26 ULB தானியம் ஏற்றகாலத்திலே களஞ்சியத்தில் சேருகிறதுபோல, முதிர்வயதிலே கல்லறையில் சேருவீர். BSB BSB: You will come to the grave in full vigor, like a sheaf of grain gathered in season.
27 ULB இதோ, நாங்கள் ஆராய்ந்து அறிந்தது இதுதான்; காரியம் இப்படியிருக்கிறது; இதை நீர் கேட்டு உமக்கு நன்மையுண்டாக அறிந்துகொள்ளும் என்றான். BSB BSB: Indeed, we have investigated, and it is true! So hear it and know for yourself.”
