4 ULB குணசாலியான பெண் தன்னுடைய கணவனுக்கு கிரீடமாக இருக்கிறாள்; அவமானத்தை உண்டாக்குகிறவளோ அவனுக்கு எலும்புருக்கியாக இருக்கிறாள். BSB BSB: A wife of noble character is her husband’s crown, but she who causes shame is like decay in his bones.
5 ULB நீதிமான்களுடைய நினைவுகள் நியாயமானவைகள்; துன்மார்க்கர்களுடைய ஆலோசனைகளோ வஞ்சனையுள்ளவைகள். BSB BSB: The plans of the righteous are just, but the counsel of the wicked leads to deceit.
6 ULB துன்மார்க்கர்களின் வார்த்தைகள் இரத்தம் சிந்த மறைந்திருப்பதைப்பற்றியது; உத்தமர்களுடைய வாயோ அவர்களைத் தப்புவிக்கும். BSB BSB: The words of the wicked lie in wait for blood, but the speech of the upright rescues them.
7 ULB துன்மார்க்கர்கள் கவிழ்க்கப்பட்டு ஒழிந்துபோவார்கள்; நீதிமான்களுடைய வீடோ நிலைநிற்கும். BSB BSB: The wicked are overthrown and perish, but the house of the righteous will stand.
8 ULB தன்னுடைய புத்திக்குத் தகுந்தபடி மனிதன் புகழப்படுவான்; மாறுபாடான இருதயமுள்ளவனோ இகழப்படுவான். BSB BSB: A man is praised according to his wisdom, but a twisted mind is despised.
9 ULB உணவில்லாதவனாக இருந்தும், தன்னைத்தான் மேன்மைப்படுத்துகிறவனைவிட, மேன்மை இல்லாதவனாக இருந்தும் பணிவிடைக்காரனுள்ளவன் உத்தமன். BSB BSB: Better to be lightly esteemed yet have a servant, than to be self-important but lack food.
11 ULB தன்னுடைய நிலத்தைப் பயிரிடுகிறவன் உணவினால் திருப்தியடைவான்; வீணர்களைப் பின்பற்றுகிறவனோ மதியற்றவன். BSB BSB: The one who works his land will have plenty of food, but whoever chases fantasies lacks judgment.
12 ULB துன்மார்க்கன் கெட்டவர்களுடைய வலையை விரும்புகிறான்; நீதிமானுடைய வேர் கனி கொடுக்கும். BSB BSB: The wicked desire the plunder of evil men, but the root of the righteous flourishes.
13 ULB துன்மார்க்கனுக்கு அவனுடைய உதடுகளின் துரோகமே கண்ணி; நீதிமானோ நெருக்கத்திலிருந்து நீங்குவான். BSB BSB: An evil man is trapped by his rebellious speech, but a righteous man escapes from trouble.
14 ULB அவனவன் தன் தன் வாயின் பலனால் திருப்தியடைவான்; அவனவன் கைக்கிரியையின் பலனுக்குத்தக்கதாக அவனவனுக்குக் கிடைக்கும். BSB BSB: By fruitful speech a man is filled with good things, and the work of his hands returns to him.
15 ULB மதியீனனுடைய வழி அவனுடைய பார்வைக்குச் செம்மையாக இருக்கும்; ஆலோசனைக்குச் செவிகொடுக்கிறவனோ ஞானமுள்ளவன். BSB BSB: The way of a fool is right in his own eyes, but a wise man listens to counsel.
16 ULB மூடனுடைய கோபம் சீக்கிரத்தில் வெளிப்படும்; அவமானத்தை மூடுகிறவனோ விவேகி. BSB BSB: A fool’s anger is known at once, but a prudent man overlooks an insult.
17 ULB சத்தியவாசகன் நீதியை வெளிப்படுத்துவான்; பொய்சாட்சிக்காரனோ வஞ்சகத்தை வெளிப்படுத்துவான். BSB BSB: He who speaks the truth declares what is right, but a false witness speaks deceit.
18 ULB பட்டயக்குத்துகள்போல் பேசுகிறவர்களும் உண்டு; ஞானமுள்ளவர்களுடைய நாவோ மருந்து. BSB BSB: Speaking rashly is like a piercing sword, but the tongue of the wise brings healing.
19 ULB சத்திய உதடு என்றும் நிலைத்திருக்கும்; பொய்நாவோ ஒரு நிமிடம்மாத்திரம் இருக்கும்; BSB BSB: Truthful lips endure forever, but a lying tongue lasts only a moment.
20 ULB தீங்கை திட்டமிடுகிறவர்களின் இருதயத்தில் கபடம் இருக்கிறது; சமாதானம்செய்கிற ஆலோசனைக்காரர்களுக்கு உள்ளது சந்தோஷம். BSB BSB: Deceit is in the hearts of those who devise evil, but the counselors of peace have joy.
21 ULB நீதிமானுக்கு ஒரு கேடும் வராது; துன்மார்க்கர்களோ தீமையினால் நிறையப்படுவார்கள். BSB BSB: No harm befalls the righteous, but the wicked are filled with trouble.
22 ULB பொய் உதடுகள் கர்த்தருக்கு அருவருப்பானவைகள்; உண்மையாக நடக்கிறவர்களோ அவருக்குப் பிரியம். BSB BSB: Lying lips are detestable to the LORD, but those who deal faithfully are His delight.
23 ULB விவேகமுள்ள மனிதன் அறிவை அடக்கிவைக்கிறான்; மூடர்களுடைய இருதயமோ மதியீனத்தைப் பிரபலப்படுத்தும். BSB BSB: A shrewd man keeps his knowledge to himself, but a foolish heart proclaims its folly.
24 ULB ஜாக்கிரதையுள்ளவர்களுடைய கை ஆளுகை செய்யும்; சோம்பேறியோ கட்டாயமாக வேலை வாங்கப்படுவான். BSB BSB: The hand of the diligent will rule, but laziness ends in forced labor.
25 ULB மனிதனுடைய இருதயத்திலுள்ள கவலை அதை ஒடுக்கும்; நல்வார்த்தையோ அதை மகிழ்ச்சியாக்கும். BSB BSB: Anxiety weighs down the heart of a man, but a good word cheers it up.
26 ULB நீதிமான் தன்னுடைய அயலானைவிட மேன்மையுள்ளவன்; துன்மார்க்கர்களுடைய வழியோ அவர்களை மோசப்படுத்தும். BSB BSB: A righteous man is cautious in friendship, but the ways of the wicked lead them astray.
27 ULB சோம்பேறி தான் வேட்டையாடிப் பிடித்ததைச் சமைப்பதில்லை; ஜாக்கிரதையுள்ளவனுடைய பொருளோ அருமையானது. BSB BSB: A lazy man does not roast his game, but a diligent man prizes his possession.
28 ULB நீதியின் பாதையில் வாழ்வு உண்டு; அந்தப் பாதையில் மரணம் இல்லை. BSB BSB: There is life in the path of righteousness, but another path leads to death.
